▪This is based off of the Pretty Gaurdian Sailor Moon manga and contains events/names/places from the manga (Do NOT read if you're beginning to read the manga version of Sailor Moon or haven't read the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th volumes of the manga)
▪I got inspired by mimimonart and her Sailor Moon art on tumblr (namely the Queen Netheliena drawings)
▪This may have hints of (reborn) Nehelenia x Helios
▪Rated Teen for violence, language (maybe. Just adding it here so I don't forget to add language in this note if I do add it into the dialogue.)
▪Don't expect some accurate, dazzling fanfic.
▪I'll try to update this every month (but I publish another chapter if I get one down before the next month)

Told from Nehelenia's point of view
I was standing on the steps of the Moon Castle when a young boy with white hair and golden eyes touched my shoulder. "Why are you here?" He asked in a cold and irritated manor. "I'm here to see her majesty, Neo Queen Serenity." I told him. He squinted his eyes and looked at more a bit more closely. "Do I have something on my face?" I asked in a nervous voice. "You just remind me of some familiar." He said. "But who?". "Well, I believe we never met." I looked away to avoid his glare. "Your hair is the exact color of her's." He said. "Nehelenia." I heard the big doors of the castle open. I turned my head and saw a woman with long, flowing hair in space buns standing in the door way of the castle. "Is that you?" The woman spoke in a sweet voice. "Yes, your highness". I bowed before her. "And I presume you're Neo Queen Serenity.".
Prologue : In The Before
"I knew you looked familiar!" The boy exclaimed. "Have you heard of me?" I asked him. "Perhaps, the Queen talked about us two exchanging letters.". "You exchanged letters with this witch!?" He yelled. "Helios," Neo Queen Serenity spoke to the boy in such a clam manor. "She has sought me out for help.". "Your majesty, I wouldn't trust her." Helios said. "She isn't here to cause trouble." The Queen said. "Now please leave us to our chat.". "Of crouse, your highness." After bowing, Helios shot me an icey glare.
After he had walked away, the Queen and I walked into the castle. She then led me to a room with a sofa, two chairs, and a coffee table. On the coffee table, sat a beautiful teapot and two teacups that matched the teapot. The whole room smelled like roses. "Sit with me." The Queen sat on the sofa and patted beside her. I sat next to her and she handed me a teacup and its plate. She then poured some tea for me. "Thank you, your highness." I said with a small smile. "Now, what seems to be troubling you." She said after pouring herself some tea. "Also, I hope you don't mind the rose scent; my husband simply loves their scent and fills this room up with it.".
"I quite like the smell of roses." I said. "And I've been hearing voices telling me to look in a certain mirror my servants have blocked off.". "Do you know why they have this mirror blocked off?" She asked. "I do." I looked down at my tea. "They blocked it off so evil doesn't cruse my whole kingdom and I.". "So you think these voices want you to look in this mirror so you become evil?" She sipped her tea. "Yes." I said with a sigh. "The answer is simple." She smiled and placed her teacup on the table. "You live here.". "I beg your pardon!?" I exclaimed. "Obviously this mirror is evil and wants to make you its puppet," She explained. "If we remove you from you castle, where the mirror is kept, then you won't become a puppet.". "Not that I don't like it here," I sighed. "But wouldn't it be easier to remove the mirror?". "Good point." She said. "I was only thinking that if you stayed here, you could help look over my daughter, Usagi.".
"She can not be trusted with Small Lady!" Helios said after he threw open the doors. "Helios, you must stop being suspicious of Netheliena." Neo Queen Serenity sighed. "Why would you trust the very woman who imprisoned me and plotted against you with you're daughter!?" Helios exclaimed. "She's different." The Queen placed her hands on her chest. "I feel it in here.". "Why and how has she gained your trust?" Helios sighed. "Maybe because she came here and sought out my help instead of giving into temptation.". "I still don't trust the girl." He folded his arms over his chest and looked to his right side, away from the Queen and I. 'Who was I exactly in the past?' I wondered. 'And why is this Helios saying I imprisoned him and plotted against the Queen?'.
"Why did you do that!?" Heilos' angry voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked down and saw broken teacup shards. I had split tea all over my dress and a little bit got on the floor. "I'm very sorry, your majesty!" I told the Queen. "If someone will get me a napkin or something, I'll clean this up right away!". "Oh, don't worry," The Queen said with a smile. "Helios will clean it.". "But I made the mess." I said. "But he made you make it." She said. "I don't see what you mean, your highness." I sighed. "You broke the teacup because Helios kept saying awful things about you." She told me. "I don't think that's why I broke it." I said. "I believe I was so wrapped up in my thoughts that I broke the teacup by mistake.". "Oh I see." The Queen said. She then got close to my ear and whispered "Helios will still clean it" in a somewhat playful tone.
After the tea was cleaned up and Helios left, Neo Queen Serenity told me she had some royal business to attend to and asked me to come tomorrow around noon for another chat. Of crouse, I said yes and the Queen told me she was very happy I agreed to come tomorrow. Before we even sat down or got to the room we chatted in yesterday, the Queen asked me if I would be her daughter's watcher. I was shocked by the question and told her I'd think about it.
When I returned back to my castle, Athena and Zala, servants of mine, came up to me with smiles across their faces. "You should take the job Neo Queen Serenity offered you." Athena told me. "I don't think I can." I sighed. "And why not?" Zala asked me. "Because I don't know who I truly am." I said. "Why, you're Queen Netheliena of the Dead Moon and my little pancake." Zala smiled. "I believe she discovered that she has a past." Athena sighed. "I knew we should have told her about her past hen she found the mirror.". "Please tell me who I was and why I imprisoned a boy named Helios." I begged. "Of crouse, little pancake" Zala said. "You absolutely loved your youthful beauty and wanted to keep it forever.". "And that desire led you to becoming the puppet of the mirror we locked away." Athena told me. "You even had a villian team called The Dead Moon Circus attack Sailor Moon to find the one with the purest dreams.". "However, you were defeated by Sailor Moon and her sailor gaurdians," Zala said. "And were reborn as my little pancake.".
"I see." I gazed down at my hands and then back up at Athena and Zala. "Do you think I'm fit to watch over Small Lady even with my past?". "I don't see why not." Zala placed s finger on her bottom lip. "Seeing that you know about your past now, you have a lesser chance of repeating it.". "Zala, Athena," I said. "I'll only take the offer if you two come with me tomorrow.". "Of crouse, your highness." Athena respectfully bowed while Zala ruffled up my hair and said "Anything for you, little pancake.".
I've only been Small Lady's watcher for a week and I love it; she's a total sweetheart! I thought she could sense who has interacted with evil and would always cry around me, but she totally loves me being her watcher. Despite being Small Lady's watcher, Neo Queen Serenity allowed me to return home at the end of the day. Of crouse, Helios is still suspicious of me and won't leave me alone with Small Lady, but I don't really care that he doesn't trust me because I have Small Lady's trust. A week had come and gone and the day finally arrived for Small Lady's reavling to the entire Moon Kingdom. Everyone from anywhere and everywhere came to see the child that would rule over the whole universe one day.
"A toast to her majesty, the Queen!" All the guests raised their wine glasses up and cheered. "A toast to his majesty, the King!". "A toast to her tiny majesty, Small Lady!" I raised my glass of red juice up and smiled. "A toast to her tiny majesty, Small Lady!" The guests said happily. "A toast to her tiny majesty's watcher, Netheliena." Neo Queen Serenity raised her glass and smiled sweetly at me. "Thank you." I smiled back at her. The guests just mumbled "a toast to her tiny majesty's watcher, Netheliena.". "Time for the gifts." The Queen smiled. 'So is this equivalent to a birthday party?' I thought to myself.
"I have a gift for the child." A female bone chilling voice spoke. Just then all the lighting went out and I ran to the side of the crib Small Lady was in. "My gift for the child," Just then a woman with pale skin, black hair, and yellow eyes appeared before everyone in a cloud of black smoke. "Is that she'll be separated from her loved ones and won't know anything of who she is or where she came from.". "Who are you?" The Queen asked in a firm matter. I took Small Lady out of her crib and began to head towards the door. The Queen's sailor gaurdians tried to attack the woman, but ended up being blown away and injured by a gust of wind she made.
"And to answer your question, I'm Death Moon." The woman replied. "I knew it!" Helios shouted. "Netheliena is here for revenge!". The guests then began to whisper and I began to feel uneasy. When Small Lady touched me, the uneasiness faded away. 'I got to get her out of here.' I threw upon the ballroom doors and was face to face with a big monster that reassembled a bull.
"You better not think of leaving," The woman spoke. "Or my bull servant will have to smash you.". "Now, little one," The woman appeared in the space between the monster and I. "Hand me the child.". "Catch, Athena!" I threw Small Lady behind me and hoped Athena would catch her before she hit the ground. "Got!" Athena yelled. "The child isn't a hot potato!" The woman snapped. "Now hand me her before I kill all of you!". "You already have the child since Netheliena's servant has her!" Snapped Helios. "I'm not working for her, you idiot!" I looked back at Helios. "Then why is she calling herself Death Moon, hmm!?" Helios shouted. "Why don't you ask her yourself!" I shouted.
"I sense hatred between these two." The woman said in a somewhat satisfied manor. "I can use that.". "You better not be planning to harm my bunny!" I looked back at the woman. "You nicknamed the child bunny?" She titled her head to the side. "How funny; you actually think a reborn villian can avoid evil and make a life with a hero!". "I can always try!" I told her. "Hand over the child to me or else you and he will suffer!" The woman pointed at Helios. "For Small Lady's safety," I said. "I will suffer.". "I mean, I was using reverse psychology, but," She made a dark red fire ball appear in her hands. "I'm willing to roll with it.". She then smashed the ground with the fire ball and cracks began to show on the floor. "Enjoy the Princess' cruse!" As soon as the woman held up her hand, Helios and I fell backwards and entered a deep slumber.
A/N: Sorry this was a long prologue, but I hope you're enjoying this story. I also wanted to say that when I post the next chapter, I want you to keep in mind that just because Helios was young when he met Sailor Chibi Moon when Queen Netheliena was defeated, doesn't mean he would be young when Chibi Moon grew up. What I'm trying to say is, it is possible that Helios be could almost or totally grown up when Sailor Chibi Moon is sent to past earth for sailor gaurdian training. Just keep in mind that there may be an age difference between Helios and Sailor Chibi Moon.
