(Adryan's POV)

The sun was high in the sky and the wind was blowing a soft cool breeze. The gulls above were making their calls while flying. There was a large ocean beside a cliff, where me, my little sister Kayley, my mother Lady Julianna, and my father Sir Lionel were riding our horses towards the beach.

I was older than Kayley by five years, making me fifteen. For a ten year old, she was quite shorter than me. I was almost as tall as my father, coming to his shoulders. I had auburn hair that was shaggy, some bangs hanging over my forehead, covering part of my dark eyes, but it was shorter in the back. I wore a dark yellow shirt with a dark green vest, and light brown pants and brown boots.

I was training to become a knight at the round table at Camelot. What's better? This would be my first trip to Camelot; father was taking me. I couldn't wait to go.

We all had different kinds of horses. Kayley had a Mongolian Horse; it was light brown with white faded markings on its body and a long mane and tail, which were also light brown.

Father had a Shire Horse, which was a chocolate brown color with a darker brown mane and tail.

Mother had a Marwari Horse that was dark beige with a lighter beige mane and tail.

My horse was Andalusian Horse; which was a beautiful bay color with white markings on his face, going from between his eyes, over his snout and mouth, stopping at the base of his cheek bones. He has white socks on all four legs. He also had a black mane and tail.

I saw my little sister acting like a knight, puffing out her chest. She made her small horse trot ahead of us. "Hurry up, slow pokes!" she said with a laugh. I laugh at her and gave my horse a good kick. "Wait up, little sister!" I call.

(The Beach)

We make it to the beach, dismounting our horses. I pull out my sword from the saddle of my horse and held it up the way a knight does. I put my feet in the correct stance a knight does. "I will fight you, Father! You won't take me alive!" I say with a laugh. Father smiled at this and unsheathed his own sword.

"Your will is strong, but your skills are weak. I will challenge you," Father said, holding his sword up. "Be careful, dears," Mother said to us. "We will, Mother!" I cry with a smile.

Father and I start to smack our swords together, making a clanging sound when they collided. This went on for five minutes before I stuck the sword under his arm. He pretends to be defeated; making it sound more dramatic than he intended.

"You are getting better at this, my son. I underestimated you," Father said, removing the sword out from underneath his arm and he handed it back to me. "Thank you, Father! I will be able to join you as a knight soon enough!" I replied, smiling proudly at my efforts of defeating him.

I put my sword back in my horse's stirrup. Kayley stood up on her horse, holding out her arms. "Father, catch me!" she laughed. He did catch her, laughing as he did so. Both rolled on the sand while laughing.

"Father, do you and Adryan have to go?" Kayley asked, laying on her back. "I'm afraid we must, Kayley. The knights will be hear soon," Father said, raising himself up to his knees, having his hands on his hips. I walk over and sit down beside my sister with my legs crossed so that I sat in front of our father. Juliana knelt down with her children and husband.

"Oh, but it's fine, dear. *Draws three circles in the sand* Well, my son and daughter, before you two were ever born, the land was dark and treacherous. The people stood divided, brother against brother. The only hope for peace was in the legend of Excalibur, for it was said that the only true king could pull the magical sword from its stone and unite the people. Many have tried, but all have failed. Then, the day you were born, Kayley, an unexpected hero stepped forward. His name was Arthur, and he was the one true king. With Excalibur at his side, he led us out of the darkness and together, we built the greatest kingdom on earth. Everyone rejoiced," Father explained to us.

I had picked up my sister, and danced with her. She held my hands and laughed excitedly as I spun her around. "Camelot!" she cheered. We fell on our rears as we laughed joyfully. I loved my dear little sister so much. I would do anything to protect her. This is why I'm going to Camelot to protect not only her, but also Mother and King Arthur.

Father held up the Camelot shield that had the three intertwined rings on it. "And so these three rings represent the unity on our people. As a knight, I took an oath to protect Camelot, King Arthur, and Excalibur. And one day, my son, it will be passed on to you," Father explained.

"I won't disappoint you, Father! I will be the best knight ever!" I say confidently. "I wanna be a knight too! I'll join you when I'm grown up!" Kayley exclaimed. "That dream will be fulfilled for sure, little sister," I replied with amusement, giving her a hug.

A few minutes later, there was the sound of hoofbeats coming in our direction. "The knights are here!" Kayley shouted, pointing in the direction they were coming from.

The four of us mounted our horses and made our way to meet up with the other knights. "Adryan and I must go now, Kayley. The king has summoned his knights for a special day in Camelot. I gave Mother a hug, to which she hugged me back.

"We will be home in no time, Mother," I tell her, having my right hand on her shoulder. She smiled at me and I smiled back. After I said my goodbye's to her, I made my horse walk around Father so that I was on his left side. I had said my goodbye's to my little sister, knowing that I would miss her and Mother while I was away.

Father had given Mother a kiss. "Goodbye," he said to her. Father and I make our horses canter towards the knights. "I wanna come with you and Adryan, daddy!" Kayley exclaimed, starting to follow them. "Yes, when you're old enough, Kayley. I will take you to Camelot, I promise. I love you!" He shouted to her.

I look over my shoulder, seeing that my little sister had stopped following us. She really wanted to become a knight, just like me.
