A/N: So yeah, this is a thing. Figured I try my hand out here...after a few years of being on a semi-hiatus. MHA has been catching my attention lately, it's almost like a reverse-superhero world, where supers are the norm. Great anime/magna, I suggest a looksie.

The TF team isn't going to ruin the plot too much...I hope.

(I'm poor and can't afford the books or anime, so shush. Half of this stuff I'm getting from Wikipedia and/or Wikia.)

I don't own TF2 or My Hero Academia, only the plot I own.

Update 2/16/21: Forgot to save the last part before uploading.

RED Base
Teufort, New Mexico
1972

"Soldier, vhat are you doing?"

Medic was taking out the trash (not to be confused with the trash from his lab) when he noticed the American patriot was climbing the radio tower located on top of the base.

"I am fixing the cable, doc-tor! What does it look like I'm doing?"

"Soldier! Zhe cable iz not up zhere, come down before you hurt yourself, dummkopf!"

"It will take more than a stupid fall to hurt me! I will not deterred in the name of AMERICA and cable television!"

Medic facepalmed and sighed. "Gah, vhy do I even bother."

At the same time, Engineer walked up next to Medic. "Howdy doc, what's going on?"

"Vhy don't you take a look for yourself?"

Engi looked up and saw Soldier climbing the tower. "What in Sam Hill is Soldier doing?!"

"He's trying to fix zhe cable, but zhe cable box is not connected to those satellites dishes."

The two watched as the American climbed higher and higher, until he lost his grip and fell all the way to the ground.

'THUD!'

"MEDIC!"

Medic sighed. "Herr Engineer, can you put zhis in zhe trash can? I need to get my Medi-Gun." he dropped the black bag in front of the Texan before walking back inside the base, muttering something in German.

"Must...think...about...mustard..."

Engineer shook his head as he watched Soldier mutter incoherent sentences. He disposed the trash bag before walking off to the garage. Over the years, he had been employed at RED, the base's garage acted as Engineer's workshop. It wasn't as big as his back at home in Bee Cave, but it was better than nothing.

He was currently doing some routine maintenance on his buildings. The buildings were checked on very often, can't have them to be breaking down on the battlefield after all. He reached the workbench and was going to start on the Teleporter when he noticed he was missing a screwdriver.

"Darn, where could it have gone?" he muttered as he started looking around for the said tool. He figured it dropped on the ground or something.

"Engineer! Are you looking for this?"

Engineer turned around and saw Heavy behind him with the screwdriver in his large hands. "Yeah, where was it partner?"

"Heavy borrowed it to tune up Sasha," the Russian said. "Maybe Heavy should have told you first."

"Nah it's fine, as long as you return it, everything's good."

Heavy nodded. "What is Engineer doing now?"

"Ah, just tuning mah buildings, nothing much." he went over to the Teleporter and started screwing in a screw. "And that should be it."

"That simple?"

"Ah was finishing it up already, now to test it."

He placed the two buildings on the ground and turned them on. The Teleporters slowly whirled to life and produced a small 'hum'.

Engineer nodded. "Well, that's that."

He was about to turn around when he heard a sizzling noise.

"Uh, is that supposed to happen Engineer?" Heavy asked.

Engineer turned back around and saw that the Teleporters were starting to smoke and spin even faster.

"No..."

Suddenly the Teleporters ripped a hole in space and time. It created a black portal that started sucking anything not nailed down into the endless darkness.

"Damn dammit damn!" Engineer quickly hit the off switch on his PDA but it didn't do anything.

"Engineer! HELP!"

Engineer looked up and saw that Heavy was in the process of being sucked into the portal. He was standing right next to the buildings when this started, and now a leg was currently being eaten by the portal. The Russian pawed the ground in an effort to get a grip on something that would stop him from being sucked in.

He quickly ran over and grabbed Heavy by one of his large hands and started to pull him out. But this was nearly impossible for him to do, as he too was slowly skidding to the portal as well.

"Vhat is zhat noise, Engi-gah! Vhat is HAPPENING?!" Medic shouted. The ex-doctor heard something strange and went to investigate, what he didn't expect to find was one of his teammates being sucked into a black hole.

"Medic! Get the others! GO!" Engineer shouted.

Medic quickly nodded and sprinted away to alert the rest of RED.

"Engineer! You have to let go!" Heavy said, half of his torso was now in the portal. "You will get sucked in as well!"

"Ah'm not giving up on yah Heavy! If ah get pulled in, so be it!"

"No! If Engineer get pulled in, then how will other babies find us? They are not as smart as Engineer!"

Engineer wanted to argue but he did have a point. He was the only person on the team who knew how the Teleporters worked and how to actually build them. But still...

"Do not worry about Heavy! I am GIANT MAN, I will be FINE!" he said with a smile. "I will find team again, HAHAHAHA!"

But before the Russian could let go, the portal sucked both Engineer and Heavy into it. Just as that happened, Medic rushed in with the others a bit too late. The only remains of their friends were parts of the destroyed Teleporter.

"Oh zhis is not good..."

Elsewhere...

"Oooh...Heavy doesn't feel good..."

Heavy slowly came to, blinking the darkness out of his eyes. He blacked out as soon as he and Engineer was sucked into the portal, and didn't remember anything happening after that. He placed a hand on his head and shook the dizziness out of himself.

With a grunt, he got to his feet and pulled out a Sandvitch. He ate the half slice with a loud 'NOM NOM NOM OM NOM!' while taking in his surroundings. It appears he ended up in some kind of forest. A lot of green trees, some bushes, generic forest stuff.

"Where is Engineer?" he wondered aloud. The Russian didn't see any sign of the smaller man around the area. He figured they got separated as they were sucked into the portal.

Or were they?

"Heavy? You 'round here partner?"

"Heavy is here, Engineer!" he shouted.

Engineer came out from the nearby brush. He didn't appear to be hurt, only slightly rustled and a bit banged up, but otherwise he was fine.

"Are you hurt Engineer?"

"Nah, I'm fine partner. You?"

"I am fine. Do you know where we are?"

Engineer shook his head. "Ah know just as much as you do, Heavy. Ah figure we should look around, probably find someplace that's inhabited, hopefully with intelligent life."

"Da."

After a hour or so of walking around the woods, the two mercs eventually made it out of the forest and onto a paved road. They followed the road to what seemed to be a town of some sorts.

"Ah guess things can't get worse from here, right?"

Hopefully there will be some kind of help there, right?

"Well don't that beat all. We're in Japan!"

After a few awkward minutes of asking around (with some difficultly because the two's Japanese wasn't that good), the two were able to figure out where they were from a newspaper.

"Not in right year either," Heavy pointed out, the date was far past 1971. "What is 22XX?"

"No clue partner."

(For those who are wondering, the TF teams were required to learn to speak basic Japanese ever since the war games opened the map Suijin, mainly so they could understand the locals if they disturb them or something, which happened a lot.)

Another discrepancy was the city they were in: Musutafu. Obviously, that city didn't exist back from where they were from. It only added to the confusing situation they were in.

"So we're somewhere in the future, far from home, in a city that doesn't exist, and ah have no idea how we're getting back," Engineer said. "Ain't this something."

Heavy grunted. "Heavy suggest we find place to stay first, then we find way home."

"Sounds like a plan, Heavy," he replied. "Say don't we need money for that?"

"Da, but we have money. Emergency money."

All TF mercs have spare cash in the form of gold just in case they get into situations where money is needed to get out. All mercs have at least one million dollars in gold on them at all time. Why gold? Well, the price of gold will always net to something, whereas paper currency may equal to nothing.

"Oh right. Just gotta convert it into whatever currency this place has...now where's the nearest bank...?"

Later...

Eventually, the two were able to find an apartment. The rent was cheap and had the basics. It was small, but wasn't too cramped. Beggars can't be choosers after all.

After they settled down, Engineer explained that it would take some time for him to come up with a way to get back home. So the two would have to stay here until the solution was found. It was agreed on that the two should find some jobs to earn some basic income. Though they had a large stack of cash on hand at the moment, the two knew it wouldn't last forever.

Engineer started working on the Teleporters while Heavy went out to look for a job.

Though killing tiny, baby men was number one on his skills list, Heavy was quite the intellectual. Especially when it came to literature, Russian literature to be exact. He was also well-versed in basic math and calculus. He inspired to be a teacher when he was younger, but a mercenary paid better for his family.

He mulled over potential jobs as he walked down the sidewalk, ignoring the stares he got from passerby's because of his height. He shook the newspaper that Engineer reprinted in English (the mercs couldn't read Japanese, well everyone but Spy, cause you know, he's Spy) and turned the page.

Not seeing much in the job section at a first glance, he flipped to the front and started to read whatever was on the front page. It had something to do with some villain terrorizing the local population with his Quirk and whatnot.

Wait.

Hold up.

He stopped for a moment and reread the front page. Nope, his eyes were not deceiving him, and he wasn't reading it wrong. What the hell was a Quirk? And what was it with this hero and villain thing? It looks like something out one of those comics that Pyro and Scout like to read.

Heavy needed to ask Engineer about this later on. This may complicate things.

"Big trouble now..."

"Well ain't that just dandy." Engineer said as he turned away from the newly bought laptop he purchased with the emergency money. He too had found out the existence of Quirks and was now searching the Internet about this new thing.

It turns out Quirks were essentially superpowers that naturally manifested in humans roughly a century or so ago, and now almost the entire population of the Earth has some kind of Quirk. Some Quirks were powerful and basically overpowered as heck, while others were downright useless. He also found out that the people without Quirks, Quirkless, were considered inferior.

Engineer also found out that being a superhero was a legitimate job. He figured there might be people who didn't use their Quirks for good and rather use it for their own personal gain.

"I guess that's one downside of having superpowers, there's always a bad apple in the basket."

Luckily, the two wouldn't attract too much attention since they were considered Quirkless. But then again, he felt a bit uneasy about the fact that they were living alongside people with superpowers, and that was coming from a battle hardened mercenary.

The two still had their weapons and equipment thanks to their Mann Co. Pouches, which acted like hammer space. Using the strange power of Australium, the company was able to create a bag that could hold anything no matter the size. Engineer wondered how it exactly worked, but he decided not to look to much into it.

"Ah reckon we have our work cut out for us. Respawn would've been really dandy if we had her..."

He took a swig of beer and watched as a Dispenser print out another document. Though it is only seen dispensing health and ammo, the Dispenser could also do a lot of other things. It can serve as a generator, 3D printer, WiFi hotspot, and much, much more. It was almost like a gas pump shaped Swiss Army knife.

The documents that were being printed out were for identification purposes. The last thing he wanted was to get on the bad side of the law, especially if the law had superpowers.

The front door opened and Heavy walked in with a couple of brown bags. "Engineer, Heavy is back."

"Found anything Heavy?" Engineer asked.

"Nyet, Heavy only brought back food," he put the bags on the counter. "Engineer, we are not in our world, yes?"

"You got that damn right, partner. Teleporter took us to an entirely different Earth that's for sure."

"Mann Co. does not exist?"

"Not in one bit, ah don't even think WE exist here," he said. "But hell, could be a lot worse."

"What happens now?"

"Well, considering it's gonna take some time for me to find a solution to get back home. We just gotta live in this world for now."

The two sat in uneasy silence, both unsure what to make of this. Heavy pulled out the folded newspaper from his pocket.

"Heavy not sure, but this is what Heavy found in paper."

Engineer took the paper and looked where Heavy was pointing out. "Well, well, what do we have here?"

Janitorial Positions Available. Little to No Experience Necessary.

"Not really glamorous, but it is low-key and not that hard to do. Now where's is this at...?"

A couple Goggle searches later, the two found that the job was at some kind of super hero high school called U.A High School. Apparently, it was the #1 in all of Japan and was considered the best of the best. At first, the two were shocked to learned that there were schools teaching these stuff. The mercs knew how chaotic battles were WITHOUT super powers and knew what would happen if some teenagers get involved. They could only imagine the carnage with a typical battle WITH super powers.

If Spy was here, he would've said, without a doubt, "this is very idiotic".

Secondly, the two weren't so easy being close to supers, as majority of the staff were former heroes. But then again, the best place to hide was in plain sight, and two janitors won't raise too much suspicion. They also were one of the few "normal" and sane people on the team, so there was that too.

"Welp, ah guess we'll try out for this place," Engineer said. "Just gotta get our information in order."

"Da."

And with that, the two mercs started to prepare.

A Few Days Later...

"Whooooowee, would ya look at that!"

"Giant..."

The Russian and Texan looked in awe at the grand structure that was U.A High School. The place was so big it could be considered a castle, heck it even had its own protective wall.

Engineer had on the Dad's Duds and the Ellis Cap, but he decided to leave his trademark goggles and hardhat back at the base. Heavy was wearing the Sleeveless in Siberia and the Summer Hat, but was missing his bullet bandolier.

Their backstories was simple: they were once workers at a demolition company, but the company had long since went out of business, and now they were jobless. Any records of the company also disappeared since the company was 'old fashioned' and solely relied on paper copies. Thus, they were trashed once the company went under. Anything that was required to be online was forged by Engineer himself and put up in their respective places.

It wasn't the best backstory that Engineer could come up with, but it had to do for now.

"Are yah ready?"

Heavy nodded. "What we do if plan fails?"

"The best case scenario is that they simply don't accept our applications. Worst case is if they arrest us."

"...we fight?"

"Only as a last resort."

The two still had their weapon pouches on them, just in case they needed to blast their way out of the school. Their chances of surviving though, even with their weaponry, were slim when it came to superpowers.

After much convincing to the guard at the entrance, they were let into the school and escorted to the principal's office. The teacher that was escorting them looked to be some kind of BDSM-themed hero complete with a skin-tight costume and riding crop. Engineer wasn't sure why exactly a school would have such a hero teaching, but he let it slide for now.

"The principal's waiting for you two already," she said as they came upon the aforementioned office.

The two thanked the woman and entered the office, though they subtlety noticed she gave an untrusting glare at them as they did.

As they entered, they expected the principal to be a person to be someone or something powerful, after all, what else would lead a superhero school? Sadly, all that anticipation that was building up came all for naught.

"Uh, Engin-er, Dell? Is that a mouse in a suit?"

A/N: Well, that's that. Don't know about when this will be updated since I'm busy with college.
