Once upon a time, more like 20 years ago, a foolish prince made a mistake.

His first decree of his rule was to bring four descendants of the worst villains off the Isle and into the kingdom of Auradon. He gave them a second chance, to be more than their wicked parents. But the four had a scheme brewing, a plot so devious that it would change the world forever. The evil fairy's daughter got close to the prince and poisoned him with a love potion. Under the potion's control, the prince fell madly in love with the evil fairy's daughter, he would do anything for her without a second thought.

At the coronation, the daughter took her chance and used the fairy godmother's wand to do the impossible; bring down the Isle's impenetrable, magical wall. But when the evil fairy desired the world, her daughter refused and turned her to stone. The daughter would have no competition, so she turned all of the villains who treated their children poorly and the heroes who had treated her like dirt to stone. No longer was she the evil fairy's daughter, but High Queen of what was once Auradon. The United States of Auradon was no more, only Draconis. It was a victory for evil.

While the villains' children were finally free, the heroes' kids who did not swear loyalty to the high queen were either imprisoned, fled for their lives, or killed by the vengeful VKs. One day, the high queen made a decree; every imprisoned hero child would be banished to the Isle of the Lost. They would go through the same pain, the same tortuous existence that she and her generals went through living on the Isle. None of the royal heirs, the mythical creatures, or children were spared from their punishment. What was once known as the Isle of the Lost was now the Isle of the Damned.

This is where they have remained, trapped in a purgatory of their own parents' making. Only time will tell if they will repent the ways of good and swear allegiance to High Queen Maleficent II of Draconis…

Prince Leviathan stood silently on a podium as pins and needles were pricked into his skin. He wore a purple and green accented suit, his hair was messy black and a pair of small horns could be seen growing from her head if one looked close enough. He glared down at the servant with emerald eyes, who was shaking as she hemmed the suit.

"Do it right or I'll have you replaced." His stone cold words shook them to her core and she cowered under the weight of his words. Leviathan was already annoyed as he stared out the window at the one of the most infuriating sights in all of Draconis. The Isle of the Damned. It had been there his whole life, an eyesore where the last of Draconis' goodness lay, remnants of the old age, the age of Auradon for decades. But if things went his way, he would go down in history as the king who crushed the last of Good from Draconis forever.

"Oh just look at him. Doesn't he look absolutely wicked?" His godmother's voice dripped with pride, Queen Evelyn Grimhilde had been his witch godmother since he was born. She was the queen of her own kingdom, but also her mother's main advisor. She spoiled him constantly, much to his mother's annoyance. The queen had her own children, two daughters to be exact, yet she doted on Levithan like he was her own son. "And just imagine he'll be crowned king next month."

"I still think we should wait on his coronation. He's far too young to be king." His mother hissed, Mal or rather Maleficent II was dressed in a long dark purple dress, her horns draped with jewelry, and black high heels. A pointed gold crown sat delicately on her head with various gems shining in the sunlight. Her dark purple hair was pulled back into a wicked yet intricate hairdo.

"He's sixteen. Didn't you become high queen at sixteen?"

"Yes, but only because I had ambitions and was mature for my age. He probably won't conquer a rebelling kingdom until he's twenty four."

"Weren't you the one who burned down an entire village because they made up a mocking ballad about you being a scaly lizard?"

"Exactly, I handled that situation flawlessly." Mal sounded smug while Evie rolled her eyes.

"Mother, godmother. I've decided on my first official proclamation." Mal gave him a doubtful look while Evie smiled proudly at her godson's initiative. "I have decided to allow the children in the Isle of the Damned a chance to live here in Draconis."

The only sound in the room came from the servant's gasp as Mal and Evie stared at him with looks of shock, confusion, and anger.

"Are you mad? Did someone slip you a potion? Because I swear I heard you say you wanted the children of our sworn enemies living among us?!" Mal's fury grew more and more with every sentence she spoke. Evie quickly shooed off the servant, closing the door behind her, leaving the evil queen alone with an infuriated high fay queen and a headstrong high prince.

"The children could be a beneficial asset to Draconis, we could show that even the purest of hearts can be twisted by evil's influence." He stood calm and collected, "They can do more than slowly rot away on that dump we call an island."

"After all they did to us! It's what they deserved!" Mal growled.

"We'll call it an experiment, bringing over only a few candidates, I've already chosen them."

"Mal, hear him out. After all, we were able to convert them to our side. Surely we can do the same with their children." Evie whispered into the dragon fairy's ear. Mal sighed, then looked at Leviathan.

"Who are their parents?"

"Chadwick Charming, Aziz Badroulbadour, Bianca White…" He paused, knowing the worst was to come, "And Audrey Rose."

His mother's eyes started to glow green in anger and embers started to form through her hair. While Evie turned white at her step niece's name.

"Mom, just let me explain."

"AUDREY ROSE! She was the worst of them all!" Mal shouted, her voice booming across the room, most likely across the entire castle.

"They have the most influence. If their children become evil, the others will fall in line." He attempted to calm down his mother, "Imagine the look on her face when her precious child is turned against her."

Mal paused, the gears in her mind turning, "She'll be devastated." A devious smile lit up her face, her eyes filled with the destruction of her greatest enemy.

"I guess you can do your little experiment. But know that I will not be able to protect you if this proclamation goes south." Mal dramatically left the room, her dress dragging behind her.

Evie walked up to her godson with a worried look, "I hope you know what you're doing, Leviathan." she said then followed behind Mal.

Leviathan smirked, turning his attention back to the window and the Isle of the Damned. His mother had condemned them, but he would mold them to his will.

If only he knew what the Fates had in store for him and for the children he had selected.
