Hooked Romance
Disclaimer: I do not own any Disney Characters. They are respectfully owed by Disney. The only characters are myself and my friends Lily and Alex.
A/N: I have had a dream in which Captain Hook comes by and takes me away to Neverland for a while and we fall in love. The main character is pretty much me. I would like to have all positive reviews and maybe you could give me suggestions what the next chapter would be about. Anyway, here is the beginning...
Chapter 1- Swept Away Unexpectedly
What was supposed to be a fun day hanging out with my friends turned completely upside down in a way that was never supposed to happen. I do not know what triggered the turn of events that you are about to learn, but regardless, my life changed forever from that point on. Well, if you want to know, read on. Let me tell you what happened.
My POV
The doorbell rang. I rushed over to the door and opened it. "Hi Alex! Hey Lilly! Are you excited to go out and play pickleball?" I greeted my friends who smiled and said hi back. "Of course." Alex responded. "After pickleball, we plan to go out for lunch." I continued. "Great!" Lilly said. "We will be going out soon. Why don't we just sit down and chat for a bit?" I asked. And so, we talked about our activities that we have been doing recently. Alex explained about his Elvis-related ideas and so on. Lily and I talked about Disney. We eventually got to villains, particularly about Captain Hook. Lily then dared to ask me: " Would you be brave enough to kiss him?" My face immediately grew hot and I blushed, looking away quickly. "Er… um… why yes… of course." I answered hesitantly, still a little embarrassed. "After all, who wouldn't? I think he is so handsome and-" My response was immediately interrupted by my dad's voice, which said "Kids, time to go. Are you ready?" My thoughts on Hook blew away at the moment and I replied "Yes.", my face no longer blushing. " Let's go." We headed outside towards the family car and climbed in. As we got ready to go, I could have sworn that I noticed a patch of red behind a large, nearby bush. Somebody was hiding there. Could it really be...? I shook my head. Ok, maybe I am just seeing things and I have seen too much Disney. I thought. There wasn't much more time to look back there again and give it a thought as our car rolled off toward our destination. So I decided to turn back, relax and chat with my friends some more.
Hook's POV
I could not believe my eyes as I looked through my spyglass. The girl with the glasses and headband was very pretty. Her wavy brown hair was amazing. When she turned her face toward the direction of the bush I was behind, I could notice her elegant blue eyes. She was the fairest maiden I have set my eyes on anywhere. What's more, though, she is the one young lady that I have decided to be the best choice among all of the girls that have affection for me. I just overheard her conversation with her friends about their outing plans. While I may not know their location, all have to do is to follow where the group goes stealthily. " !" I bellowed. "Sir?" he asked nervously. "We must follow that car. Get the ship ready to sail!" I ordered. "Aye, aye Captain!" She will be the key to brighten my chambers up, but I need to win her over first. This will be exciting. What a beauty she is! I thought evilly to myself.
About One Hour later...
My POV
"Wow! That was a great rally guys! Let's do it again!" I shouted. "Yeah!" my friends responded. "I will go pick up the ball." I said as I walked over to where the ball rolled to. We managed to play a pickleball rally that lasted for about a minute. I was impressed. I was so focused on the play as I picked up the ball when I suddenly heard a nearby twig snap. I looked around, but saw nothing. Maybe that was an animal. I thought. "Don't worry. I'm coming back." I said. I started to return to the court, but once again I heard another snap of a stick, but this time I also saw leaves rustling in a bush in the forest edge directly ahead of me. I caught a glimpse of something red- the same red I saw behind the bush near my house earlier! I then saw something silver glisten in the sun. I could have sworn that it was shaped like... a hook?!. " Eliza?" Lily asked, noticing that I stopped seconds ago. "What are you looking at?" However I didn't answer. I was still in deep thought over what I was seeing and thought That's impossible. Is the watcher really... THE Captain James Hook right over there?! Lily came right next to me and quickly noticed the figure who had been watching essentially the whole time from behind the trees. She froze. "EJ, is that figure WHO I think it is?" she asked fearfully. "We need to leave... NOW!" I spoke. We ran away from the brush and I continued to shout "Alex! We have to go! Somebody seems to have stalked us. I don't know why, but we must get away before anything bad happens. Pack the pickleball equipment. No time to explain, just do it!" My friends and I rushed to pack up our belongings and put the net away. "Now what?" Alex asked, with a confused look on his face. "We leave-" I started but was interrupted by sinister laughter, followed by an all too familiar male voice: "I am afraid you are not going anywhere, missy." We all jumped at the sound. I was wide-eyed, filled with terror. "W-who's there?" I stammered. At first there was no answer. Seconds later, we heard the 'tapping' of boots as the unconfirmed person approached us. We turned our heads in the direction of the sounds, but we still didn't see anyone. Suddenly, I felt something cold on my neck and goosebumps appeared on my skin. I felt myself being yanked backwards, away from my friends, who looked on with nothing but shock on their faces. Then I was forcibly turned around and forced to look at my captor's face. That was when I got the biggest scare of my life yet. I was staring into hazelnut brown eyes. Moreover, the man had straight, shoulder-length, greasy black hair and a thin black mustache. His chin was unnaturally long and angled. His eyes were deeply sullen. The biggest observation, though, was the silver hook that was in place of his left hand. My dreams seem to have come true. Standing, holding me before him was none other than Captain James Hook himself.
"Hello there... Eliza." he spoke with an eerily calm voice. "What? How do you know who I am?!" I asked, shocked. "I shall explain once we are on board the Jolly Roger. "We!?" I asked. "Of course, my dear." That's when I started to panic. There was no way that I would be whisked off like that. So I would try to do what any hero would do: resist. I wiggled and tried to hit him with my elbows to force him to release me, but he held my wrists, preventing any arm movement. "Sorry, dear. No can do." he purred. "You don't have a choice." "But my friends, my family, will I ever see them again? My family won't know what's happened-" I said, trembling at the thought, but was cut off yet again. "Don't fret, Eliza." I have written a note that is to be sent to your family." Hook interrupted, showing me a parchment of paper with writing on it. He looked around, but saw no one but my friends. "Well, the only other people I see are those two friends of yours." he continued. He glared at Lily and Alex. "You two!" the captain barked. My friends jumped at being shouted at. They looked fearfully. "Please pass this note to Eliza's parents and give them my regards." he hissed, but my friends did not budge. "NOW!" Hook suddenly shrieked, his face briefly turning red and his voice echoing out into the air. My ears rang from the pirate captain's sudden yell, so did my friends' ears. A shaking Lily finally stepped forward and extended her hand out to receive the note. Captain Hook placed the note in her palm. "Thank you." he whispered. "I must be going now, though… with your friend." he chuckled darkly. "Come now, Miss Eliza, I have much in store for you." "NOOOOO!" I protested. I felt being lifted from the ground and before I knew it I was hanging on something. I gasped. I realized Hook was carrying me… on his left shoulder, and away from my friends, family, and home as he walked from the pickleball court and down a path through the park, never to see them again, at least for a long period of time anyway. Soon we came to a wide clearing. I turned my head slightly and noticed Hook's ship, the Jolly Roger, floating a few feet over the ground. Hook suddenly broke into a run. I felt myself going up and down on his shoulder as he ran. He sprinted up a ramp and onto the ship deck. "Cast off, scurvy dogs! I have the girl!" he barked. Several crewmen raised anchor and the ship began its ascent into the air. Another turned the ship's wheel changing the trajectory and I took note of two bright stars in the sky… in the middle of the day! The second star to the right… and straight on till morning. I thought. I looked down to see the surface slowly fade from my sight. Suddenly I felt Captain Hook move again, this time toward a door that leads toward his quarters. After opening the door, he suddenly released me from his grip and dropped me. I hit the wooden floor with a hard thud. With no way to escape, I faced an uncertain future at the hands of a cold-hearted pirate of my dreams. But something inside told me to go with the flow. That this was going to be an adventure of a lifetime. But all I could think right now was a feeling of dread, for who knows what Captain Hook has for me.
A/N: I hope you enjoyed the first chapter. Don't forget to like and review!
