Hello to everyone that is interested in my take on the Kenobi show. I will be basing my fic around the ideas presented in the first 2 episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi. I will be making a few changes to the original tv episodes. First being the inclusion of the inquisitor, Reva I will instead have the grand inquisitor be the one to explore chasing Kenobi.
Chapter 1: Hope in the Darkness
10 years after the events of Order 66 Darth Vader is on a Rampage searching for Obi-Wan Kenobi. Tasking the tormenting Grand Inquisitor to search across the galaxy in order to identify the last of the Jedi. All the while in the shadows Maul is looking for Kenobi himself while avoiding the suspicions of the Empire as he avoids inquisitors as the fifth brother is tasked with bringing in from the emperor himself.
Exiting the ship onto the land of Felucia where the Grand Inquisitor is tracking any possible Jedi remaining to eliminate the remaining remnants of the bygone era. Landing the ship on the planet, the Inquisitor reached into the force energy radiating from the planet feeling where this force user could be. The Grand Inquisitor for which he was sent to find any Jedi who could possibly point to the location of this rumored Jedi. This rumored Jedi was necessary as it was not only to the end of the Jedi but also was key to finding Kenobi. Since the Empire's establishment of controlling all the territories over the many planets that were a part of the Republic. Walking down the platform onto the planet looks like a prosperous planet, while the environment of the planet looked prosperous the people were a different perspective. The people were being stripped of their personal freedoms as there was an endless cycle of producing the felucian spice that was critical to the creation of medicine for the whole of the Empire. As the people who evidently despised the Rule that the Empire had over them, it was clear that the people wanted to revolt, but did not have any of the leaders in order to stage a revolt. This sort of approach could make it dangerous for the Empire in the case of runaway Jedi. As the Grand Inquisitor approached the people the assembly factory the stormtroopers ordered the whole work force together to be seen as he approached. Then he spoke to the whole of the people as he approached the community of Felucian's speak menacingly to all of the people.
"I have heard of Rumors of a Jedi that is on this planet. Whether you like it or not we will find this Jedi and anyone who hides him will suffer a terrifying death as all the Jedi suffered. If fear does not convince you then I will encourage anyone who reveals the location of this rumored Jedi to receive rations for their whole family for a year. Now who shall speak first to allow this Jedi to be punished for the crimes he has committed against the whole of the wonderful Galactic Empire."
As the entire imperial army witnessed, no one came forward to speak of such things as the location of the Jedi; it was clear that this was a sign of the people's revolution.
"If no one speaks then your rations shall be cut in half for this Jedi whether you believe him or not, the Jedi are a real threat to your peace. They tried to overthrow the emperor and he will try to overthrow your humble community and wreak havoc across the planet." Then walking off the Grand Inquisitor walked away channeling and calling upon the dark side of the Force to reveal the Jedi since the people were resisting the attacks of the Imperial interrogation. As he walked away something came to the inquisitor's attention as he saw a hooded figure who most obviously tried to blend in with the back of the crowd. Looking at him most he called out to the force to give a feel for how strong this person is in using the Force.
Sensing that he was indeed a force user as the fear of being probed most evidently expressed, revealed the way in which the man cowered in fear trying to hide his face. Then stopping with a smile, the Grand inquisitor turned and ordered his troops to stop.
"Jedi, please come forward and submit to questioning."
Then as he was interrogated the Jedi began to run away only to be halted as he froze in place like a statue. Without much effort or stress, the Inquisitor reached out in the Force to hold the fleeing Jedi in place to capture him as the troopers came up to the Jedi arresting him and pulling the young Jedi onto the ship to take back to the fortress inquisitorius. Leaving the planet with another Jedi captured hoping to end the last of the Jedi. While this progress was good for the empire, it was important to realize that the ultimate prize and reason for interrogation was crucial for the finding of Kenobi. It was a race among them to find Kenobi and get the permanent title of Grand Inquisitor. Inside the ship then he contacted the fifth brother to see how his search has been progressing.
"Fifth Brother, how is the progress of the Outer Rim explorations?"
"Grand Inquisitor, we are now entering the Tatooine system now."
"You are behind schedule now Fifth Brother, I need you to finish your progress of Tatooine quickly and return to the Fortress as soon as possible."
"As you wish Grand Inquisitor."
Hearing the reply from the Fifth Brother, the Grand Inquisitor abruptly ended the transmission that was connecting the two inquisitors. Now knowing the state of the Jedi hunt for the Fifth Brother, the focus now turned to the Jedi who must be interrogated to see what else he knows. As he called upon the Dark Side of the Force the Grand Inquisitor prepared as he entered the hold for which the Jedi was being held captive.
"Welcome to the Empire young Jedi Knight, would you be so kind as to reveal your name?"
"You won't get anything out of me!"
"We shall see about that, even though you seem to have aged, your powers with the Force seem to have not strengthened in your solitude. Neri is your name is it not?"
"How did you know?"
"A young Jedi such as yourself cannot resist the mind probe of a well-trained Dark Side user as myself." Then stopping the interrogation as they came upon the fortress in which they will be fortified.
"Lucky for you Neri, we have arrived at our destination."
"What is this place?" Neri inquired as he peered at the dark fortress.
"Your new Home, or your burial ground. Depending on your cooperation of course." As the inquisitor gave in a grave remark.
"You are not the first Jedi to have come here. Another came to steal a Holocron and killed the Second Sister for it while escaping into the ocean and off the planet. I will be watching you very closely to make sure that does not happen again." The Inquisitor left the room as the ship landed leaving the frightened young Jedi in his lonely captivity. The Jedi dwelled upon his impending trials at the Fortress Inquisitorius and realized one thing. His Jedi training while limited, will have to be his hope in this vast pool of darkness. Then he prepared himself for the challenged that lied ahead.
"Help me Master Kenobi, I need your guidance as you guided me in the halls of the Jedi temple. I am one with the Force and the Force is with me."
