Thank Schaffrillas Productions for triggering my dormant Total Drama fandom hype that I re-edited this story from the ground up. So, for those following the story, hope you may bear with me.
"Forty participants. Twenty teams. Twenty-two cities. Six continents. Four years out of incarceration. And one race to declare my comeback! And also a new format for our returning Total Drama aspirants…"
That is notorious Total Drama host Chris McLean taking his cues at the heat of the day, with the production crew set, the tasks lined up, the audiences stand in anticipation and the contestants en route to their location.
"I am Chris McLean, also known as Canada's 3rd best good-looking alpha male. (The other two are taken by the two Ryans.) But, this time, your host for this version of Total Drama Presents The Amazing Race." After enunciating his lines, he whispers one glaring plot hole to the producers. "So why is this not another season of The Ridonculous Race?" (The reason turns out to be corporate synergy since this season is produced by Fresh TV, CBS and HBO Max.)
There is then a preview of a drone shot of Place Jacques-Cartier of Montreal, Canada before it switches back to McLean. "Welcome to homegrown Montreal! Host of one Olympics games, one Formula One and more Just for Laughs festivals. And on the next forty minutes comes the same quality of sweat, action and laughs you expect for the past ten years!" And of course, he has to sneer in front of the camera. McLean never changed.
"But right at this point in Place Jacques-Cartier, forty players from different seasons of Total Drama – but not the one they called DramaRamama or something – will be arriving for an around-the-world quest for $1,000,000!" With the crowd roaring, McLean continues, "And now, Canada and the whole world, here are Total Drama's Not-So-Ready for Primetime Players!"
At that announcement, Chris McLean introduces the contestants. "Here's the batch from Revenge of the Island! Returning favorites Scott, Sam, Mike, Zoey and Lightning!"
The four show up on a foot race, with Lightning heading first and pushing the rest out of the way.
"Out of my way! Lightning strikes twice as Total Drama champ!" he brags.
"This ain't Total Drama," Zoey corrects him.
"Let him be dramatic," Mike replies. "He ain't ready for action yet."
Sam laughs in the same way Seth Rogen laughs (obviously). "Good one!"
Zoey is the most impressed. "Yeah. I think I am getting used to this new persona."
"Oh, the quippy persona?"
"Yeah!"
After the four arrive by the starting line, McLean continues, "Also from of the Revenge Island, gander the return of army man Brick, social climber Anne Marie and fan-requested Dawn!"
The three skip on the pavement, stopping at the line where they meet the rest.
"Well, well, look who's here?!" Anne Maria greets Zoey threateningly.
"I thought you don't need a million," Zoey thinks.
"Not really," the Jersey Shore reject replies. "You can take the million. I take all the publicity."
"Definitely not honorable," Brick replies, recalling how we got eliminated from the show.
"I can sense it from your tone, peaceful acquaintance," Dawn reacts to him.
"Thanks, but I would not call you a peaceful acquaintance."
Dawn takes Brick's grudge lightly. "Still not over from when I last showed my face? Understood."
Only Zoey waves back at her.
McLean continues, "Alright! From Revenge, we also got folks from Pahkitew Island! Fairytale princess Ella! Do-not-know-if-it-is-the-other-one Samey! Athletic Sky! And the pathetic Dave."
Dave takes offense, "HEY!"
At his pronouncement, Ella struts to the line in poise, Samey waves to the audience lined up, and Sky and Dave stumble at each other awkwardly.
"Oh…you…" Dave utters.
"Yeah, hey…" Sky replies. Her words are short of note, still held back from what happened in Pahkitew Island. "So, you're here too?"
"Yeah…"
But Ella disrupts the moment, "Why can't your spirits be so enlightened? It's such a wonderful day!"
Meanwhile, McLean finishes, "And lastly, semi-finalist Jasmine, the fan-favorite Beardo and, unfortunately, Topher."
When he hears McLean mentions his name, Topher sprints towards him. "Ha! Knew it! I knew you, Chris McLean! You wouldn't waste this talents! Now, where are the cohost's cues?"
"Only if you are in the after show, which there is not." McLean then commands his PA's to bring him back to the starting line.
Chuckling, Beardo creates a "wa-wa-wa" trombone sound.
"Glad you're back at the pack, mate!" Jasmine greets Beardo.
Beardo gives off a record riff cue.
"Nice!" McLean remarks. "Alright, of course we can't forget the overused contestants from the original Total Drama! Starting with the really overexposed ones: Heather, Duncan, Courtney, Gwen, Sierra, Harold, Leshawna, Lindsay and Alejandro!"
The nine of them enter from a tough-as-nails foot race (also a slap fight), given the amount of apprehension from the group. But Harold and Leshawna emerge from the chaos, followed by a discomforted Gwen.
"We came! We saw! We kicked out last!" Harold proclaims.
"Easy there, we aren't in the finish yet," Leshawna says. She then looks back at the scuffle, where she sees Alejandro. "Wait, Alejandro?! I'm coming for you!" She then dives back to group.
Harold is stunned.
Sierra emerges as well. "Wow, I never would have thought that the competition will roughly start in the hotel. I need to note that on my blog."
McLean then continues, "Okay, let's catch them up later on. Here's the next batch from the original: nature-loving DJ, the ripped Eva, the excited Katie, the heartthrob Justin, the sweeter heartthrob Trent, fan-favorite Noah and World Tour semi-finalist Cody!"
But as the five enter the scene, they stop to see the scuffle ongoing.
"Uhmm should we continue?" DJ asks.
Taking control, McLean blows a whistle, finally signaling for the nine to stop. The nine of them finally set sight on their former teammates.
"Gwen?" Trent utters.
"Trent?" she replies.
"Gwen!" Duncan takes offence.
"Duncan!" Courtney shouts at him.
"Duncan?" Trent reacts.
"Gwen?!" Cody reacts.
"Cody?!" she reacts back.
"Cody!" Sierra hollers.
"Sierra?!" Cody reacts.
"Justin!" Sierra screeches.
"Sierra?!" Gwen retaliates.
"GWEN!" Courtney shouts at her.
"Tyler?" Lindsay joins in, though awkwardly.
"He's not here," Noah corrects her. Her habit is restored.
Katie reacts, "Did we come up in an awkward time?"
Heather groans at the sight of her despised teams. "Can't you get it off with your drama?"
"You never get off from our drama," Alejandro woos her.
"Stop being dramatic!" Heather chastises him as a subtle tease. And just like that, the drama in Total Drama is brought back from previous seasons.
"Seemed to have drama with him," Eva reacts sneeringly.
Heather threatens her, "One more mention of drama, and I'll…"
"And you'll what?!" Eva replies with a tougher fist.
Heather then backs off. "Just enough drama."
Meanwhile, Justin is waving to several of his fans. He also winks to Anne Maria, who is so smitten.
The contestants from the other seasons just stand cumbersomely, unable to utter a sound.
"Just the kind of dramatic tension needed," Topher remarks.
"Not a good sign," Sam adds.
Scott then snickers, "Heh! Things are getting better."
McLean agrees, "Now that's the heat we needed for the ratings! And now the commercials!"
Cue dark screen.
McLean suddenly realizes, "Oh right. This might go to a streaming platform. My bad." He simply laughs it off.
He soon continues with the last badge, "Okay, last but not the least, your contestants from The Ridonculous Race! The genius Ellody! Fashion blogger Tom! The law graduate Emma! Fan-favorite goth Ennui! Gym buddy Ryan! Rockstar…Rock! The lovely Carrie! The runner-up Officer MacArthur! And lastly, the 3rd place Josee!"
Josee takes offense at that, "STOP SAYING I'M 3RD PLACE!"
When the nine of them enter the scene, they show their own gimmicks on entrances. Most notable of which is Josee, who cringed after Chris McLean labels her as 3rd place. They certainly do not feel the tension that has mounted from the original Total Drama contestants.
"Isn't this exciting? We're gonna race with original contestants of Total Drama! I can almost feel the chills!" Carrie expresses her excitement.
"Calm it there, Bradshaw," MacArthur says gruffly. "Excitement is just a distraction!"
"Oh, I know excitement when I hear one!" Rock says. "This crowds rockin!"
"I bet this guy knows excitement all his life," Tom is sarcastically referring to Ennui.
To his surprise, Ennui monotonously replies, "Excitement – it runs in my soul."
Tom can only snicker.
"Just not the time for excitement," Emma assures. "Time to be cautious..." She then pauses when she spots Noah. "And also something else…"
"Oh, if you are thinking of something else, I think it's time for toughness," Ryan reacts.
Emma passively reacts, "Right…"
Tom interrupts, "I heard rumors that there are still bad blood among the originals."
"No matter. I read about the previous Total Dramas. And I learned that Chris McLean can be tough on challenges and on his players," Emma warns them.
"Well, being cautious is natural, if you regard the uncertainty of another worldwide race like this," Ellody expounds.
Tom again interrupts to compliment Ellody, "Hey, glad you made it here!"
"Thanks! Mary and I evaluated our leg in Ridonculous Race. And there are definitely many takeaways that we scientists need to take in heart," she replies. "At least we studied how contestants in reality shows like this know how to feel like a victor."
"Hah! As long as this race has a victor. And that is me!" Josee boasts.
"Calm down, guys! A little tough there," Carrie intervenes (or tries to), "Let's just have fun for the first part. We're in an 'Amazing Race'. So, let's make the best out of it!"
Her random intervention draws a mixed bag of reactions from the Ridonculous Race competitors.
The competitors line up on the starting line, waiting for McLean's next instructions. The tension heats up as allies glance at each other, and enemies snarl at each other. "Okay, Race contestants (as I am contractually obligated to call you) hope that Continental breakfast got you ready."
"I wasn't a fan of their blueberry muffins," Dave mutters as he tries to hold his stomach.
"Is everything okay?" Samey asks.
"Okay, eyes and ears on me. Though the race starts here, you won't find your clue nor personal bags here." The players are shocked, actually answering the question where were their bags when they surrendered them to the baggage counter. "You will still find them under Nelson's Statue. First task: find your bag, now color-coded, and find your pair with the same color to get your next clue. We anonymously grouped you. And unless authorized, your partner will be your partner till the end. Once you find your partner by the column, take a tandem bike and travel to the other side to the Olympic basin where your next clue is floating by. Important note when getting there: BOTH PARTNERS MUST TAKE THE CLUE. That means you both will need to get your clue. Are we clear?"
The players begin whispering to each other. And the tension rises.
But McLean, being arrogant, leads the players to their attention. "Hey! Yapping later! There are more!"
Let's get this race started!"
With that, the racers ready themselves on the starting line. Bystanders cheer on from the sides. And the camera crew is set. "Okay, at my signal, race to the bike stand right at that road. The world is watching! Travel safe…or not! And good luck…to the deaths!"
"Did he just say to the deaths?" Cody gulps.
"Oh, I wish…" Gwen utters.
The anticipation is boiling for each player. Their feet are firm to the concrete. Their eyes are set on the column. And their fists are clenched.
"GO!" And all give chase towards Nelson's Statue.
At this tense of a foot race, some contestants unleash their obvious competitive sides. Heather, Lightning, Scott, Mike, Sky, Jasmine, Duncan, Courtney, Eva, MacArthur and Josee – they lead the pack and keep pushing each other. The rest just keep on with the high-speed chase to the column.
The crowd cheers as the Total Drama players stampede on their way.
Duncan arrives on the column first and scrambles through the pile of bags. Even as few others arrive, he finds his bag, though with a tiny grudge. "Cyan?"
Confessional #1
Duncan: (v.o.) This edition of Total Drama is not my choice. (t.h.) Joined a band, moved on with my life. This time, it's just redemption.
The rest dive onto the pile of bags. And once they find their own, they try to find their partners.
But on the back of the line, Samey trails last, trying to catch up.
Confessional #2
Samey: (v.o.) I was a little nervous at racing along. (t.h.) But ever since standing up to Amy, I feel good about myself. I think I can show that in this race, I can be better. But baby steps.
Eventually, DJ notices her. "Hey, you okay up there?"
"I'm cool! I just need an extra time…to breathe," Samey replies as she pants.
Meanwhile, thanks to the unexpected scrambling of the players, it takes a while for them to find their own bags. The first ones to partner are Courtney and Brick.
"Well, guess we are partners…" Courtney passively concludes.
Brick introduces himself, "Cadet Brick McArthur, at your service!"
Courtney is shortly impressed. "Army man, I presume. That will come handy on the way."
They find their assigned tandem bike and leave the site.
The second place partners are Gwen and Ryan. The latter finds her first, "Hey, Silver too?"
"Yes, yes," Gwen confirms.
"Yes! Come on!"
"What's your name?"
"Ryan. Gym buff."
"Yeah…kind of obvious."
"And yours?"
"Gwen."
"Gwen? Goth girl?"
"Yeah…that too obvious."
"Great!"
And the third partners to huddle are Duncan and Zoey. The two previously crossed paths in All Stars. And each of them has his or her outcomes.
Zoey finds Duncan's bag with the matching color. "Duncan, you're bright blue?"
"It's actually cyan," Duncan replies.
"Let's roll!" Zoey responds.
The two then sprint to the bikes.
"So, how was reaching the end of All Stars?" Duncan asks.
"Not much, apart from a million dollars," Zoey replies, panting.
"And you're here?"
"It's for charity."
Duncan simply nods.
Now on his chopper, McLean relays the happenings, "We have our first three times on their way to the basin! Let's see if the rest can catch up!"
Back on Nelson's Column, Alejandro and Heather take a brief glance towards each other. Their eyes have the looks that they are intentionally resuming their rivalry.
Alejandro eventually finds his partner in the form of Emma. They are Team Lime.
"Well, well, isn't it an aspiring lawyer right in front of my eyes." Alejandro tries to woo Emma, but she slaps his face in disgruntlement.
"You can't make me by those looks," Emma raves. "If you think you can outsmart, then try a different way, Alejandro Burromuerto!"
Confessional #3
Emma: (v.o.) Noah told me stories of Alejandro being a villain. (t.h.) Glad he told me firsthand, for I swear I would quash him in the race!
Afterwards, Noah approaches her. "Alejandro is your partner?"
"Yeah, unexpectedly," Emma utters.
"Remember what I told you about him…"
But Emma reassures to him. "Don't worry. I got him covered. You know me."
Noah then gives her a kiss before he leaves to find his partner. (He eventually finds his partner: Lindsay for Team Blue.)
On the other hand, Heather finds her partner in Scott, her All Stars teammate.
"Oh Heather, you again," Scott reacts in dismay.
But Heather guarantees to him, "Zip it! Save the villainy for last. I come here for a noble cause."
"Oh yeah, what noble cause is that?"
"It is the 'Stop Pricks Like Scott From Causing Me To Lose'!"
"Well, I'm not gonna lose this time because I have a grudge with anybody, especially…" He just grunts before finishing.
Heather quickly deduces who he is about to mention. "Still feeling the wounds of last season?"
"And that person has to show her face!" Scott grunts, answering Heather's deduction.
Confessional #4
Heather: (v.o.) I simply watched some Total Drama episodes, not by choice. (t.h.) But thank goodness that I know about some bad bloods that still shed. Time to put that into practice!
Meanwhile, Dave, who is still has bad blood over Sky, begrudgingly takes his gray bag and eventually finds his partner – Olympic skater Josee.
Frustrated that it nearly takes her a long time to find him, Josee takes his arm and sprints to the bikes. "We have to make it from the rest!"
But as they make it there, Dave drops her hand and makes her stop. "No way I am going to pummeled again by mediocre people in a mediocre show!"
Josee attests, "Well, I don't want mediocre! That word doesn't exists!"
"But it does," Dave vehemently replies.
Josee tries her best to get him going. "Look, the stupid people who designed this show made us partners. And like my skating partner, we need to coordinate if we do not want to be a laugh of the laughingstock."
"You don't know what it is like being in a laughingstock."
"Do I? Now tell me, what is one trigger that makes you want to prove that laughingstock wrong? Go on. Think. No need to rush. But rush now!"
With that reflection, Dave has Sky appear in his mind. Surely enough, at a distance, he sees Sky teaming up with Ennui as Team Pink. He clenches his fist, and his blood boils.
"Let's go!" He then takes the front seat of their bike and hurtles their way to the pack. Josee takes the backseat for more inertia. And she is kind of impressed that an average boy like Dave has triggers that she can convince (or manipulate).
Right now, those who are on their way to the Olympic Basin are:
Brick & Courtney (Team Red)
Ryan & Gwen (Team Silver)
Duncan & Zoey (Team Cyan)
Alejandro & Emma (Team Lime)
Dave & Josee (Team Gray)
Scott & Heather (Team White)
Meanwhile, the rest are playing catchup, but more teams are converging.
The moonchild Dawn taps Trent on the shoulder. "I sense that we will become teammates."
"You're Maroon too?" Trent asks, to which Dawn shows her bag. "Wow, that was a lucky deduction."
"It's a living," she replies.
"You're a psychologist?"
"I can read the auras of other souls, just by examining your irises and your expression."
"Very unusual…"
"I can see your half-impressed and half-surmising 'Been there'."
They then run towards the bikes.
Best friends Cody and Sierra assure each other before parting ways.
"So, café break after the first run?" Sierra asks him.
"Absolutely!" Cody vows. "Hopefully the café this time has actual coffee."
"Awww! Such a warm feeling!"
Suddenly, Trent and Dawn accidentally nudge Cody on his left side. "Hey!"
"Oh! Sorry Cody!" Trent apologizes.
"I too. You'll feel well," Dawn follows.
Just at that moment, Cody sees something different on the blond girl that passed by. Quick pulses suddenly cover his skin. And a rosy picture is painted over her. Little did he know that this will be a passing theme.
"Cody? Cody?" Sierra tries to snap him back to reality.
As soon as she shakes him, Cody wakes up. "Oh right!" Cody jitters. "Uhhh yeah…see you there!"
The two then part ways.
Sierra soon finds her partner in Beardo.
"Oh, you must be the sound guy!" she greets him.
Beardo gives off a hip-hop record screech effect.
"Let's team up?"
They then quickly get to their bike.
On the other hand, Cody tries to remove Dawn from his head when Jasmine spots him. "Mate, you also have a beige bag?"
"I do," Cody replies, showing his bag.
"We gotta run!" Jasmine tells him.
Confessional #5
Cody: (v.o.) I am grateful that I'm back in the reality show business. And Sierra and I are back. (t.h.) But there's some kind of "hidden feeling" I am sensing.
The rest of the players and their standing are as follows:
Ennui & Sky (Team Pink)
Lightning & Leshawna (Team Black)
Trent & Dawn (Team Maroon)
Topher & MacArthur (Team Purple)
Cody & Jasmine (Team Beige)
Justin & Anne Maria (Team Brown)
Beardo & Sierra (Team Violet)
Rock & Eva (Team Gold)
Others are falling back, either due to balancing the tandem bike or looking for directions to the basin. The three teams that are falling back are Harold & Carrie, DJ & Ellody and Mike & Samey.
On Harold & Carrie's end, Harold is asking for directions from a group of locals. "Hey there, can you tell us where is the Olympic basin?"
The nerd can only hear gibberish from them. Those locals are actually Bulgarian tourists.
Confessional #6
Carrie: (v.o.) It was my first time away from Devin after a week. (t.h.) So, it was rather hard to meet new people and make new friends. But, let's see where this race goes.
Overhearing them, Carrie intervenes and talks to them in their native tongue. The Bulgarian tour guide helps.
"Woah, you talk in their ancient language?" Harold asks, amazed.
"It's Bulgarian," Carrie clarifies.
"It's still cool! You get to talk in a difficult language!"
"Bulgarian is not hard." The two then talk on their way.
For DJ & Ellody, their tandem bike breaks down. DJ checks it. "Oh no, our chains loose."
"I can do it!" Ellody volunteers to fix it. "Practice more than planning." She then puts her newfound knowledge in repairing items.
"Are you sure you can do it?" DJ asks.
"I lost it on the last race. Need to fix it on this race," Ellody says.
DJ is assured on that.
And lastly, Mike & Samey lag behind, due to Samey trying to sustain the balance of the bike.
Mike soon notices. "Samey, are you fine back there?"
"No, not really a bike person," she replies, nearly whimpering.
Mike assures, "Hey look, I suck at riding back too when I was a kid. And I had episodes while riding one with training wheels. But what I do is never shake. Never shake. Just think you're in control."
Taking his word, Samey holds the handle bars firmly and visualizes on taking control over the bike. "Okay, I'm set." But she slightly wobbles.
"It's okay to shake. Just don't lose it," Mike advises her.
With that, they take off, making all teams on their way to Montreal's Olympic Basin.
The final teams are:
Tom & Katie (Team Magenta)
Sam & Ella (Team Yellow)
Noah & Lindsay (Team Blue)
Harold & Carrie (Team Green)
DJ & Ellody (Team Bronze)
Mike & Samey (Team Orange)
The first six teams are now on Jacques Cartier Bridge. Alejandro tries to intimidate Zoey. "O senorita, you are pedaling too slow." He eventually exceeds her.
"Alejandro! You have no right to call me that!" she responds. Zoey then speeds up her bike, which showered some dust to Duncan's eyes.
"Zoey, maybe save the anger for later!" Duncan hastily pleas.
Eventually, Brick & Courtney arrive on the Olympic Basin. There, the clues are actually stored inside orange buoys all scattered over the water.
"So, one of us just has to swim to get one of the clues," Courtney says.
"I'll handle it!" Brick volunteers, then dives to the freezing waters.
"Well, there he goes." Courtney can only witness Brick shivering heavily on the basin.
Ryan & Gwen and Dave & Josee arrive as well.
"We have to swim in there?!" Gwen gasps.
"I don't think it means that we both should dive in there," Ryan surmises.
"Yeah, but Chris said that both partners must take the clue," Gwen raises.
But Josee defies that, or so. "Divers dive! Losers stay!" She then jumps to the water and obtains one buoy immediately.
"Yes! Go Josee!" Dave cheers for her.
"Wow, that's impressive," Gwen reacts.
"Yeah, not as impressive as stumbling on you!" Courtney chastises her.
Fed up, Gwen rebukes her, "Courtney, can you at least not bring your overgrown vendetta to my face every time you see me?!"
"Oh, I am counting on it," Courtney rebuffs.
Josee arrives on the platform with the buoy. Dave assists her out.
The buoy has four handles to unlock. And the clue is contained inside.
"How to get the clue out of this thing?" Josee examines.
Dave then studies the buoy and deduces, "I think I'm getting what Chris is saying: Both partners must take the clue." He holds two handles near him and feels a long button behind. "Josee, take the two other handles!"
She follows Dave's instructions. And cooperatively, they lift the buoy chamber off, unveiling the clue, much to their joy.
"We got the clue! So that was Chris' saying!" Dave cheers.
"Open it!"
Both Dave and Josee then read the instructions from the clue.
Teams must now travel 4,000 miles to Anchorage, Alaska. Once they land, they must find the airport's North Face store and claim their winter gear and their clue. But get to the airport quickly, the first ten teams will get to the quickest flight to Anchorage.
"Let's go!" Dave and Josee quickly leave the venue and take a taxi.
"You did a good work back there," Dave praises Josee.
And Josee returns the compliment. "No, you did best there with your biking, just like an Olympiad!"
"Really?" Dave is just enthused of being ahead from the rest.
Confessional #7
Dave: (v.o.) Josee is a surprisingly good teammate. (t.h.) And I can't wait for us to claim every victory of the race. (v.o.) I can't wait!
Confessional #8
Josee: (v.o.) I can't believe that guy sucked up to me. So easy to do! (t.h.) Let him praise all he wants. But if there should be a winner in this, it is me!
Back to the rest, Brick is still freezing in the water, Ryan takes off his shirt and dives to the water, and other pairs like Alejandro & Emma, Duncan & Zoey and Scott & Heather arrive. Others observe that the buoys are gradually drifting away from the platform they are standing on.
"We have to both swim to get them?" Scott grumbles.
"Can't Chris get more insane?!" Heather adds to the grumbling.
Zoey guesses, "Maybe not. Maybe one has to dive and another has to get a buoy."
"Good call. I'll get one. Need dust off me," Duncan volunteers and dives to the freezing basin.
Gwen tells him loudly, "Duncan, be careful from the cold!"
Courtney obviously derides that. "Of course you have to care."
"Can't you be more civil?!" Gwen protests.
Alejandro, on the other hand, permits himself to Emma, "Shall I, senorita?"
But Emma insists bluntly, "You had your fun. You stay here." She then dives to the water.
Scott, meanwhile, cowardly asks Heather, "So, shall we pick 'heads or tails'?"
"Maybe you head to the water!" Heather quickly pushes Scott to the water.
With Brick, Ryan, Duncan, Emma and Scott on the water, Alejandro takes this time to interact with the rest. "Feeling nerve-wracked are we, Courtney?"
She replies begrudgingly, "I just don't know Al. Every time I join Total Drama, I've been followed by a drama goth queen who turned my life into a drama!"
He "calms" her down. "Easy Courtney, you don't need to stress out. Maybe you need to release them. And I mean release them now."
That is enough to trigger Courtney to grab Gwen by the hair and pettily beat her up. Gwen tries to restrain her. But the A-type girl just wants to release her anger.
"Will both of you children stop?!" Heather calls them out, but she gets pulled into the mess. Their scuffle turns into a fight cloud.
Untimely, Brick arrives with a buoy. "Courtney, I got our clue!" But a foot knocks the buoy back to the water. "What?! NO!"
Emma arrives on time with a buoy.
"Right on time, mi amiga," Alejandro praises her.
"Not an amiga, yet," Emma insists. After reading their clue, they quickly take a taxi to Montréal–Trudeau International Airport, but not before Alejandro winks back at Heather (to which she finds insulting/amusing).
Confessional #9
Alejandro: (v.o.) Just pulled off a tough experiment. (t.h.) Turns out nothing changed from All Stars. Same old race to millions.
As the fight escalates (and as more pairs like Ennui & Sky, Lightning & Leshawna and Trent & Dawn arrive), Zoey intervenes by repelling them from beating each other. "Okay girls, you gotta stop fighting!"
"This is Total Drama! Why no fighting?!" Heather growls.
Leshawna intervenes by restraining. "Okay Heather, I still despise you. But you gotta stop." She then asks Zoey, "What has gone into them?"
Zoey answers while restraining Courtney, "Courtney got a little mad."
Confessional #10:
Zoey: (v.o.) If there's something I learned in Total Drama, it's that fighting will happen. (t.h.) But I hope to turn that around.
Sky stumbles upon the girls while her partner Ennui catches their clue. "What's happened here?"
"Just Total Drama…drama," Zoey says while holding Courtney tightly. "Trying to chill them down."
"Yeah, I know the feeling," Sky relates. Quickly, Ennui carries their buoy back to the platform without staining his goth makeup. They both open the buoy, catch their clue and head for a taxi.
Meanwhile, Trent catches a worn-out Gwen. "You alright?"
"How it would be alright if there are still bad blood around me?" Gwen mopes.
But Trent just simply pats her shoulder, not wanting any malice around them.
"Trent, how could I wrong so many people?!" Gwen keeps moping but recedes. She just wants her head lean closer to Trent's shoulder. The latter can only sit still to help a good acquaintance.
With Brick, Ryan, Duncan, Scott, Lighting and Dawn still in the freezing water, and more pairs like Topher & MacArthur, Cody & Jasmine, Justin & Anne Maria, Beardo & Sierra and Rock & Eva arriving in the scene, the stakes are high for the teams of the Tres Marias (Gwen, Courtney and Heather), as one or more of them has to miss the first plane.
Current Standings:
1. Dave & Josee (Team Gray)
2. Alejandro & Emma (Team Lime)
3. Ennui & Sky (Team Pink)
(-) Beardo & Sierra (Team Violet)
