After first arriving at Inaba, Fuutarou's first day of school ends up being a hectic one after he meets up with 5 strange sisters.
It was a foggy day in Inaba, like it had been for a while. A train arrived at the station and out of it came a boy with blueish-black hair, blue eyes and a thin yet a bit tall complexion.
After leaving the station, the boy's attention was caught by a man with a little girl by his side. Without wasting any time, he approached them.
"Fuutarou wasn't it? Man, you're more handsome in person than in photos" - the man said while smiling - "Welcome to Inaba, I'm Ryotaro Dojima, I'll be looking out of you" -
"Uncle Dojima wasn't it? I'm glad to see you again" - the boy answered.
"So you do remember me huh? I like that, at least you didn't forget that I'm your mother's younger brother. Oh, this little girl right here is my daughter" -
From behind Dojima, a small girl with brown hair arranged in twintails took a few steps forward.
"Come on Nanako, introduce yourself to your cousin" -
"... 'lo" - and as fast as she approached Fuutarou, as fast she returned behind Dojima.
"Hahaha, what are you so shy for?" - he said, only to be slapped in the back by the girl.
All of this was watched by an amused Fuutarou.
"Well then, let's get going. My car's over there" -
As they started to head towards the car, someone else caught Fuutarou's attention, it was a girl with black short hair.
"Hey, you dropped this" - she held something in her hands, the note where Fuutarou had put the address of Dojima.
"Thanks a lot" - he answered.
"Whatever, all I did was pick it up" - she said before continuing to walk forward.
"What's wrong?" - Dojima yelled.
"Nothing, I just dropped something. Let's go" -
While on the road, Dojima decided to question Fuutarou about why he was sent there, to which the boy took no time to answer.
"Dad found a job abroad that could solve our money problems, but he was only allowed to take one kid, and he chose my sister. Since I couldn't go, he told me I'd come here and stay with my uncle Dojima" -
"Really? Well I'm glad for you guys. Last time I checked you weren't doing that good on the money department right? A bit of extra money must be pretty great" -
"Yeah, but I'm not too excited about moving. I checked to see what was interesting and all I saw was the Nakano Inn" -
"Hahaha, life here might be a bit slow but you'll get used to it. Who knows? Maybe the calm state of Inaba could help you find some friends" -
"Friends huh? Not interested, I'll just focus more on school like I've been doing so far" -
"Really? Well I won't judge, each one does things like they want" -
After a bit more driving, they had to stop by a gas station for more fuel, where Fuutarou was approached by the gas station attendant.
"Hey yo, you're in high school aren't you? You look confused" -
"Yes, I come from the Aichi Prefecture" -
"A city boy? Then you must be pretty shocked to see how small everything is here. With how little there is to do, you'll get bored fast, you'll either hang out with your friends or take part time jobs" -
"Is that so...?" -
"Hey, if you want we're looking for more people to help us here, doesn't matter if you're in high school" - the attendant then came to him and shook hands with him before leaving.
As soon as he left, Fuutarou felt dizzy and became pale for a few seconds, though the boy gave it no importance.
Today was the start of what would be a rather normal and quiet year, right?
