Akihito, Bringer of Death
Summary
Asami Ryuichi as Hades ~ King of The Underworld and Akihito as Persephone ~ Queen of The Underworld. Sudoh will be Minthe because I hate her.
Asami and Akihito are Destined Ones. Demeter, Akihito's mother and Goddess of Harvest, does not approve of Akihito's Husband-To-Be.
A/N
Happy Asami Ryuichi week!
I decided to write this fic because I don't know many Asami as Hades and Akihito as Persephone fanfics. In the discord server Club Sion, I decided to propose Mythology x Finder Series and to my surprise, this topic was popular.
Anyways, my take on Asami Ryuichi as Hades and Takaba Akihito as Persephone. Akihito will be referred to as "Queen" and "Goddess" but he is still male.
This is a work in progress. I'm still new to fanfic writing, so please be nice.

Chapter 1: A Meeting with Fate(s)
Akihito sighed as his mother, Demeter, gave him strict instructions to return to his room immediately. He knew his mother had a "special" visitor, which is why he wasn't allowed to stay in the greenhouse any longer. Normally he would spend almost all his waking hours in the greenhouse because it was his sanctuary. It was the one place where Demeter wouldn't control him, and he could fantasize about freedom. As he walked away from the greenhouse, he noticed some of the plants seemed to wilt and others would close themselves up as though they had never been in bloom. The Sakura tree, Akihito's first plant grown using his magic, seemed to curl in on itself as if saddened by Aki's departure.
Demeter had always been adamant that her precious Akihito needed to be shielded from the dangers of the world. He had been restricted to certain pre-approved areas where he was least likely to run into other immortals. Ever since he turned eighteen, she had been rejecting suitors left and right. She never told him who they were, because in her mind it didn't matter. Now at the age of twenty-one, Akihito was exhausted of his mother's protection and her insistence to keep him a pure maiden. Akihito sometimes overheard the nymphs gossiping about several Gods and Goddesses who considered him a prize. Because Demeter had shielded him from Olympus and kept him in the Mortal Realm, several Olympians believe he was an exquisite treasure. They perceived marrying him was a challenge…an amusing game to claim Demeter's precious heir Akihito as a prize. Akihito scoffed at the idea of himself being a treasure. He believed he was just an ordinary minor Goddess and there was nothing special about him.
As he trudged slowly on the path from the greenhouse to the special side entrance just for him, he noticed three cloaked figures exit the horse drawn chariot and walk up the path to the front door. Akihito was rather surprised to see several visitors at his house. His mother hated crowds and just wanted her precious Akihito to be left alone. From his viewpoint, he knew it was pointless to try and catch a glimpse of their faces.
While Akihito retreated to his room, Demeter greeted her guests with tea and finger sandwiches. She sat tensely in the cushy armchair in her living room across from couch where the three figures lounged. Her back was ramrod straight as she faced The Moirai, also known as The Fates, and tried to remain calm.
"Demeter, you're looking well" Clotho said with a little cackle as she and her sisters sat down.
Atropos asked, "How is little Akihito?"
"Your precious son who we blessed you with." Lachesis reminded.
Demeter wanted to retort, 'You mean the son who I begged for, and you gave me the choice between a life of loneliness or bearing Zeus's offspring?' Instead, she held her tongue. She loved Akihito with all her heart despite the fact that Zeus was his father.
The Moirai continued to tease her. Clotho asked, "How is his life in the Mortal Realm?"
"The precious son who has yet to be presented to all of Olympus" Lachesis said.
"He is fine." Demeter replied stiffly. It felt like her words were caught in her throat and she felt like crying or puking. She tried to think about what The Fates wanted with her, but she felt uneasy…as if the visit wasn't about her. The last time The Fates had visited her was when they announced that they had granted her wish for a child. Although they had brought joyous news about the conception of Akihito, they had reminded her that Zeus, the conniving cheater, was the father. The arrival of The Fates meant she was likely about to receive news that she wouldn't like.
Skipping straight to the point, Lachesis was blunt as she asked, "Akihito has turned twenty-one recently, correct?"
Atropos nodded her head as if Lachesis had addressed her instead of Demeter. "Yes, he is of age and has been alive for more than two decades. Which is why we've come to talk to you Demeter. It's about his Red String of Fate."
Demeter wanted to throw her cup of tea at The Fates. She would rather give up herself to protect her Akihito. Instead, she repeated "Red String of Fate," as though she didn't know what it meant. She knew very well that this conversation was heading toward to marriage of her beloved Akihito.
Clotho smirked, "Yes, the thread that connects him with his counterpart. His soulmate. His other half. The darkness to his light…."
"His partner is Asami Ryuichi, King of The Underworld" Atropos said, cutting Clotho off.
Demeter sucked in a harsh breath before exploding, "YOU MUST BE MISTAKEN! Not Asami! The brooding devil incarnate?! Akihito will never last in The Underworld!"
Atropos shook her head at Demeter's outburst, "I'm afraid you don't understand your son's capabilities. It is true that he lives in the Mortal Realm with you, but he will be able to thrive in The Underworld."
"He will become Ryuichi's equal. We know because we connected the Red Thread ourselves. Of course we are not mistaken. Akihito will be Queen of The Underworld" Clotho stated.
"Also known as the Bringer of Death" Lachesis added.
Gritting her teeth, Demeter thought about where she was going to hide Akihito. She started to fret because the Red String of Fate would attract the King of The Underworld like a moth to a flame. He would long to meet his Queen and the String would cause him to seek out Akihito. Once he caught side of his partner, Asami would never let his lovely wife outside of his sight.
Akihito's beauty already attracted people in Olympus to visit Demeter in the Mortal Realm. He was stunningly beautiful with a golden halo of hair that made him rival Helios, God of the Sun. Akihito's hazel, almost blue, eyes were as stunning as the purest water that Demeter had ever created. Whenever he was upset it was almost like Zeus's thunder was present in his eyes. He was perfection. Mesmerizing. It was hard enough protecting him from current suitors, but to keep him away from Asami Ryuichi would be practically impossible.
"I wouldn't try hiding the King of The Underworld's bride, Demeter" Atropos warned.
Clotho added, "He might be passive now, but he's just waiting for the proper moment to strike."
"And if you try to hide his wife, he'll probably kidnap Akihito and hide him from you" Lachesis concluded.
"Akihito isn't a possession! He deserves to live his life unburden by the duties of an unwanted marriage!" Demeter protested.
"Have you ever—"
"—asked him what—"
"—he truly desires?"
Demeter wanted to continue to argue that she knew what was best for her son. Akihito needed to be protected from the Gods, particularly Kronos' offspring. Everyone knew that Poseidon and Zeus were chronic cheaters. Although she had never heard any rumors about King Asami's affairs, Demeter was certain that he was just too cunning and made sure to never leave any witnesses.
"Why out of all immortals did you choose to pair up my Akihito with Asami Ryuichi?"
Atropos laughed before replying, "We had been asked by Hecate, also known as Kirishima Kei, to create a queen for The Underworld around the same time you begged for a child."
"We thought it would be fitting have your precious heir that you begged us for to be tied to one of the Gods you despise most." Lachesis continued.
"We gave you the child you wanted, but we had warned you that any requests you made of us always came at a price" Clotho finished with a cackle.
Demeter felt like destroying The Moirai as they laughed gleefully over her misery. The mere thought of her Akihito finding out his Destined One was King of The Underworld made her want to scream. Her poor Akihito would be turned to a withered husk of his glorious self.
Asami Ryuichi was known for his stern face and harsh hazel eyes that often looked golden. Although he was as handsome and debonair as his brothers Zeus and Poseidon, he was the most reserved out of all of them. Demeter began to despair that Akihito lose all hope if he was trapped in The Underworld. He had never been outside the Mortal Realm due to Demeter's protection and love. The Underworld was known for having dangerous criminals, drugs, prostitutes, crime lords, and everyone that Demeter feared would hurt her precious Akihito.
Interrupting her thoughts, The Moirai spoke in unison, "Either you shall present Akihito to Asami Ryuichi by the end of the week, or we shall tell him where he can find his Destined One."
Clotho added, "Remember that our loyalties lie with the King of The Underworld."
Lachesis continued, "At the end of the day, the King will need his Queen."
Atropos reminded, "There will be no hiding from the Fates, Demeter."
After warning Demeter, The Fates stood up and walk to the door. They knew Demeter would be too shocked to show her guests out.
It was only a matter of time before the King of The Underworld knew about his Queen.

"Asami-sama! King of the Dead! Where are you?"
Asami growled as he heard Sudoh Shuu cry out his name. He already felt a headache coming on.
Kirishima, his ever-faithful secretary, responded in his stead. "Sudoh-kun, I'm sure you're well aware the King of THE UNDERWORLD is very busy. Furthermore, he despises being call King of the Dead. I insist that you run along to your Destined One, Nymph Sakazaki. The Moirai have already blessed you with a Red String of Fate and Asami-sama is waiting for his own Destined One."
"Ugh, but that bore Sakazaki has nothing in common with me! I'm stunningly gorgeous and he's an old creep" Sudoh protested.
"Regardless of your situation, you need to respect that King Asami is looking for a queen and because you are a nymph with a Destined One, you are not qualified." Kirishima said calmly.
As Sudoh continued to argue with Kirishima, he didn't notice that King Asami had slipped away.
"I should pay a visit to The Moirai," Asami said aloud to himself, "especially because I feel my Red String of Fate tugging at me more every day. It would be lovely for The Underworld to have a Queen."
