An airplane had just arrived at the airport, which itself was covered in snow. As soon as the airplane had made a complete stop, everyone on board had departed, including a familiar black haired boy with a Pikachu on his shoulder.
Ash: Wow, the Prof was right, Miskoto IS really cold
After his clash with Leon, which resulted in his victory against the monarch, Ash went back to check up on his Pokémon over at the ranch. Professor Oak also took this opportunity to tell him that he had just found a new region called Miskoto. Miskoto is a region found just east of Galar, and is known for being a rather chilly place, thanks to it being so north up.
Ash: Well, I think it's time to let them out, right Pikachu?
"Pika pi"
The first Pokémon he let out was a bipedal jackal Pokémon with blue and black markings, along with a creamy torso, two black appendages, and spikes on his hands and chest: Lucario. The second Pokémon was a bovine with three tails and a pair of horn: Tauros. The third Pokémon was a large bat like creature with really large ears with patterns resembling speakers, large wings, and a long tail: Noivern. The fourth Pokémon was an armless toad with large bumps on it: Palpitoad. And the final pokemon was a large rock like creature coated in a shell of ice with rocky horns and blue eyes: Glalie.
Pokespeech On
Lucario: So this is Miskoto huh?
Palpitoad: Kinda chilly if you ask me
Glalie: I like it, I feel just at home

Ash: Alright guys, we got another region to tackle, hope you all are ready, now where are we
He then saw a sign that says that they are currently in Chois City.
Ash: Hmm, if memory serves, that's where Professor Pine's lab is, come on guys
As they head on over to the lab, they didn't notice a trainer in a black jacket and heavy duty white pants watching them.
?: So, you're the one who defeated Leon huh?
Right beside him was a bipedal hedgehog creature that was black with red markings.
?: Come on Necroyezh, kick some butt
"Necro"
Scene cut
A girl wearing a light blue parka dress, black leggings, and brown heavy duty boots was now at the Pokemon Center, where she was watching over a little light blue humanoid with a whitish skirt and blue tipped toes was being examined. After a while, Nurse Joy, and her partner, a Ceramother, came out.
Nurse Joy: Good news Anne, Your Tutwirl is just fine
Anne: That's a relief
As they were talking, they saw Ash coming into the Center, shivering.
Ash: I need to pick up a jacket
"Pika pika"
Nurse Joy: Welcome to our Pokémon Center, may I examine your Pokémon?
Ash: Sure thing
As he hands his Pokémon, he notices some jackets on display, and decides to buy one. He eventually decides on a heavy blue parka with a pokeball symbol on the side.
Anne: Excuse me, but who are you?
Ash: The name's Ash, Ash Ketchum, and this here is my partner: Pikachu
Anne: He's cute
She proceeds to rub Pikachu on the chin, which causes the mouse to squeal with delight.
Anne: Wait a minute, are you the same Ash that fought Leon and defeated him?
Ash: That's me, best not to spread it too much, I don't think I can manage all the publicity, especially after I became the Alolan Champion
Everyone froze and turned their heads to him, and immediately besieged on him with autograph and battle requests. Before Ash could disperse the crowed, a sudden cloud of smoke obstructed everything.
Trainer: Hey what's going on
Trainer 2: I can't see a think
Ash: Noivern, blow the smoke away
The semi-pseudo legendary did as it's told, and blew away the smoke. When the smoke cleared, everyone saw a familiar, and VERY annoying trio.
Ash: Well well well, look who decided to follow me all the way here
Jessie: Hey, back off twerp, I don't plan to freeze out there in that frozen rock
Trainer: Frozen rock!? why I never
James: Ugh, let's just get out of here
Jessie: Not before we get that Pikachu
Ash: Are you sure about that?
They then saw that Ash brought some backup with 5 more Pokémon, which caused them to feel 2 inches tall.
Jessie: The twerp brought reinforcements?!
James: I didn't expect that
The Pokémon under Ash's command fired their attacks, sending the pests flying into the horizon.
Trio: Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!
"Woooooooobuuuuu!"
And just like that, they're gone. Ash took this time to get out of the fan filled center with Anne right on his tail.
Anne: Does that always happen?
Ash: Well I guess it does when you basically become a celebrity, I can't believe Miskoto learned about this so swiftly
Anne: Maybe because the World Coronation is always on whenever it occurs, like the latest sporting events
Ash: Tell me about it, anyway, I'm heading to meet Professor Pine, wanna come?
Anne: Sure thing

Ash: Hello? Professor Pine?
Pine: Ah, you must be Ash, welcome
They saw a man with skin as white as snow, along with a bushy brown beard and combover, wearing a heavy duty lab coat.
Ash: Brr, you always keep your lab on freezing?
Pine: Heh, in Miskoto, there are as many ice types as there are water types in Hoenn, like my Trevenant here
Ash saw that it looked a bit more festive, with its eye looking like a christmas light, and its arms covered in ornaments.
Ash: I guess that's an Ice/Grass type
Pine: That's correct, now, would you like to see the starters?
Ash: Sure thing
Three Pokémon came out, they were a green wasp with leafy wings, a red and brown calf with a blazing tail, and a light blue squid with chibi eyes and a beak.
Pine: Meet Willasp, Hoofurn, and Tentaleg
Ash took out his Rotom Phone to scan them.
Willasp: The tree dweller Pokémon, a grass type, these Pokémon cannot fly, but instead glide with their lightweight wings. Their favorite foods are the sweet nectar that secretes from trees.
Hoofurn: The burning ox Pokémon, a fire type, these feisty Pokémon can run at a maximum of 30mph on their powerful legs. However, because they go so fast, they can't see where they're going.
Tentaleg: The cephalopod Pokémon, a water type, these friendly sea dwellers help fisherman with catching bounties from the water. Their main method of attack is to use their tentacles to slap attacks and go in with their beaks.
Ash: Wow, these guys sure are cute
Pine: Sure are, unfortunately, only natives can get a starter, but you can find them in the wild
Ash: I do that anyways
Suddenly, they heard the door open, and the boy that watched Ash from the airport appeared.
?: So you are Ash Ketchum?
Ash: Yeah, why you ask?
?: I, Boris, Wachovski, challenge you to a battle
