Star Fox: Foundation

Over a year after first contact between the star systems Lylat and Sol, and Corneria's alliance with a few countries on Earth, a mysterious doorway is found in the subterranean Cornerian city of Tritari, Star Fox investigates out of boredom and permission from Peppy. Upon traveling through the doorway, they find themselves outside a rectangular rocky outcropping on Earth.

The galaxy in the story actually has been explored just about 4× more than we have. For example, the Lylat system has been using the real life exoplanet 55 Cancri E to mine diamonds over the course of 3 years. This pretty much removed all worth of diamonds in Lylat, but in turn caused specially treated diamond blades, among other things, They somehow managed to have not found Earth until a broadcast was received and a probe was sent and reached orbit of Earth on the Lylatian date of July 31st, 2468 as a friendly "Hello there, neighbor!" and it was discovered by humanity that by some interstellar miracle, a lot of the tech was interchangeable, such as USB cables, HDMI cables, data files, headphone jacks, etcetera. On top of all that, Lylat's inhabitants even spoke English.

Soon, the two systems allied and Humanity became a space faring civilization. This alliance entailed sharing resources and technology. Most small inventions and technological developments also made their way into the other system's possession. About a year in, with the help of the Lylatian G-Diffuser, American scientists completed the experimental TR-3B Anti-Gravity Craft, sharing the technology with Lylat as a gesture of good will, allowing small starships to have maneuverability like never before seen and paving the way for multiple other models of Anti-Gravity Craft. Approximately a year and a half in, this story takes place.
