Kaguya was walking through the hallways of Shuchiin, paying no heed to the countless eyes laid upon her as she approached the student council room. Her face was an expressionless mask while she thought of her new strategy to make Shirogane confess his feelings for her. Lately, it seemed she was getting closer than ever to achieving her goal, especially now that she had acquired her ritual. Today's plan was particularly good, as long as nothing out of the ordinary happened, she would be able to finally corner the president.
Regretfully, when she was reaching the room she encountered a very uncommon sight. There appeared to be some sort of commotion at the doors of the student council room, as there was a group of 3 people trying to lift a brown haired girl that appeared to be unconscious. She had to analyze and solve this quickly, or her plan would fall apart before she even entered the student council room!
"What is going on here?" Kaguya asked the crowd that had gathered at the doors of the student council.
"It's nothing you have to worry about, Auntie" answered a girl Kaguya quickly identified as Maki Shijo, her second cousin twice removed.
"If there's an unconscious girl at the doors of the student council, it is my duty to help her" Kaguya answered crossly.
"Don´t worry Kaguya-san, she just… forgot to have breakfast this morning, we are going to take her to the nurse's office" said the second person, Nagisa Kashiwagi.
The third girl of the group, a black haired girl that Kaguya identified as another member of the Mass Media Club, appeared to be close to following her club member on the floor, so Kaguya didn't think letting her carry another person was a good idea. Fortunately, before she had to make a decision, Ishigami arrived and agreed to help the girls take their friend to the nurse's office, so she was finally able to enter the student council room.
Only the president was inside, and this made Kaguya instantly wary, as it meant Fujiwara could come in at any moment, and that could mess up her brilliant plan. And thus, she decided to wait for her to arrive so that she could get rid of her early on. Thankfully, she arrived after a couple minutes, but Kaguya noticed something immediately: She had brought something with her! This could destroy her plan!
"Morning, Kaguya-san!" Chika said brightly.
"Good Morning Fujiwara-san, what do you have there?" she asked tightly.
"Oh, you mean this notebook? I found it just outside the room, I was going to take it to the lost item's box later" answered the pink haired girl.
'This is perfect, I'll just tell her to take it now, and while she is gone, I'll implement my plan!' Kaguya thought
"Oh, shoot!" Chika said as she tripped and caused the notebook to get sent flying towards Kaguya.
Fortunately, Kaguya's quick reflexes helped her move out of the way before it could hit her and it fell to the floor right next to her. This allowed Kaguya to read the cover. President x Kaguya-sama Vol.5
Kaguya's eyes widened and quickly grabbed the notebook, just as Shirogane approached.
"Are you alright Fujiwara?" He asked
"Yes, I just tripped, sorry"
"Just be more careful next time. How about you Shinomiya, did you get hurt?"
"N-Not at all." Kaguya answered while hiding the cover from view.
"Great, then, could you give me the notebook? I will leave it in the lost item's box when I leave" the president asked.
"There's no need to trouble yourself with that, president. I'll just leave it there myself" she answered while thinking 'President x Kaguya-sama? What does that "x" mean? Also, volume 5? I have to research this right now, just in case it is important. I really don't want a repeat of the "first time" incident.'
"Are you sure? Aren't you busy?" Shirogane asked doubtfully.
"No, I actually just finished my work." she answered while standing up. "I'll just go leave it right now."
"A-Alright, see you later, then."
The moment she left the room, she started running towards an empty classroom so that she could read the notebook, but she failed to notice Ishigami returning to the student council room and crashed into him, causing the notebook to go flying once more.
"Ouch!" Ishigami exclaimed. "What's wrong Shinomiya-senpai?"
"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention"
"Don't worry about it, is this yours?" He asked as he reached for the notebook.
"Wait!" Kaguya shouted, but it was too late.
When he picked up the notebook, he noticed the notebook looked somewhat familiar, and after seeing the title, his eyes widened comically.
"Oh, shit."
