"Faster, Percy. You have to be faster than that if you have any hopes of killing her." Seraphine coached. Ducking quickly, Percy narrowly dodged away from a broadsword aimed to cleave his head clean off from his shoulders. "I can use some help here, Seraphine!" Percy yelled aloud as he backpedaled away from a rapier being thrusted towards his heart. "Watch for her footwork." Seraphine hinted.
Percy tried to study his opponent's movement whilst also attempting to avoid the lethal attacks.

[Special Bonus, Seraphine's Guidance: +10]
Percy understood what Seraphine was hinting at; his opponent had a limp, albeit the limp was quite subtle; Percy knew he could exploit his opponent's weakness. Weaving in between the onslaught aimed at him, Percy tried to push himself past his opponents' defenses. However, the woman had anticipated this as she thrusted her rapier towards Percy's heart.
[Dodge Chance: 14/100]
Percy attempted to sidestep the rapier's blade, but his opponent had hoped for this, "You've made your last mistake." The woman remarked, smirking as Percy had unknowingly stepped into her broadsword's downwards' ark. The sword slashed through Percy's [Ice Armor], shattering it into a million cold shards of ice as the broadsword embedded itself into Percy's shoulder.
[Damage: 14 (2d10), Slashing Damage]
Percy gritted his teeth as a searing hot pain erupted through his side. "Come on, Percy. You can do this!" Seraphine cheered. Fighting through the pain, Percy twirled his dagger in hand as it began oozing a thick purple substance. Seeing his opportunity, Percy stepped closer, passing through his opponent's defenses before thrusting his dagger forward.
[To Hit: 16, +2 Strength Modifier]
The dagger cleanly met its mark as it was plunged into the woman's abdomen, piercing its way through the thick armor.
[Damage: 3 (1d4) Piercing Damage, + 19, (3d8) Poison Damage)
The woman gasped as blood began seeping through her armor, grimacing as she felt the poison begin coursing through her system. "You've made your last mistake," Percy parroted back. Yanking his dagger back, Percy backpedaled as he wished to put a bit of distance between himself and the dangerous, dual-wielding lady. Thinking quickly on his feet, Percy turned his attention towards the water bottle strapped to his hip; commanding the water in the bottles, the bottles exploded with a tremendous force as water shot towards Percy's face, dousing him head-to-toe.

Knowing that the fight had turned in his favor, Percy smirked as he felt his wounds knit themselves together the as the water contacted his skin. Having been revitalized and reenergized, Percy threw his dagger into the air, catching it in a reverse grip before shooting forward toward the lady.
"You're just as annoying as that suit of armor," Percy shouted. Closing the distances between himself and his opponent, Percy saw the broadsword arcing its way down toward his head. Thinking quickly on his feet, Percy abruptly stopped as he jumped backward. The sword struck the ground where Percy once was, cracking the ground and leaving a small crater. "You seem tired; maybe we could call this fight a draw?" Percy taunted.
The woman growled, thrusting her broadsword downwards and embedding the sword into the ground. "I'm going to make sure you die a painful death." The woman declared, pointing her rapier at the young boy. Without another word, the woman blurred out of existence as she shot toward Percy at incredible speed, immediately placing Percy on high alert.
Feeling the air around him shift slightly, Percy instinctively swung his dagger in the general direction, managing to block a steel blade homing in on him. "Seraphine, what do I do?" Percy asked, slightly panicking as he began defending himself from the onslaught. "I've given you all the hints you need to beat her. You're on your own now." Seraphine stated cheerfully. "I hate you so much!" Percy screamed as he was forced to deflect another incoming strike.
Percy tried to defend himself as much as he could from the barrage of sword flurries that came directed at him. "Come on, Percy, think of something!" Percy shouted to himself. Narrowly avoiding another rapier thrust, Percy found himself backed into a corner.
An idea came to him; gathering all the energy into his right leg, Percy stomped the ground with all his might.
[Wrath of Sythaeryn]
The earth began to tremble under Percy's feet, tossing and turning. "You-" the woman started but was immediately interrupted as she was thrown into the nearby stone wall. "Impressive! I didn't think you'd managed that yourself." Seraphine playfully jabbed, "C'mon, let's head back; you have a—"
"You annoying child." A voice groaned out, "You're skilled, I'll admit, but you're still not good enough to put up a challenge." Percy felt a burning sting of pain erupt from his left thigh. Glancing down, he noticed a blood-coated steel needle protruding from his leg.
Percy didn't have enough time to react before the blade was violently ripped out from his thigh, followed by a powerful kick to his chest. For a brief second, Percy felt weightless as he flew through the air. The passing air almost felt serene. Almost.
The fleeting moment ended abruptly as Percy found himself crashing into the smooth stone wall, "Shit." Seraphine was extremely concerned for her host's wellbeing, "We have to retreat." Seraphine commanded. "Yeah." Percy agreed; reaching into his pocket, Percy retrieved a small stone.
"Oh no, you don't!" The dual-wielding woman growled out, "You're not escaping that easily!" Launching herself towards the prone Percy, the woman gripped her greatsword tightly. As the woman began swinging the massive sword in a downward arc, Percy managed to crush the stone in his hands.
In a bright flash of light, Percy found himself lying on his bed back in his dorm room. "That was close," Percy heard his companion start, "but you did great!"
"Really?" Percy started dryly, "Because it felt like I was getting my butt handed to me."
"You were, but you're still new to this." Seraphine comforted. "I could suggest bringing Nancy along next time; maybe she can help you train."
Percy immediately sat up, wincing from the pain caused by his injured leg, "Why should we bring Nancy? She almost died last time."
"True," Seraphine agreed, "but you're a better fighter when she's around." Seraphine playfully jabbed.
"I—" Percy was immediately interrupted as the dorm room door creaked open, "Perce, you in here?" a familiar voice resonated throughout the room. Immediately, Percy grabbed his pillow and slammed it down on his injured leg, hissing at the searing pain. "Yeah; what do you want, Grover?" Percy asked through gritted teeth, trying to put up a façade. "Are you still in bed? C'mon, you're going to be late."
"Late?" Questioned a very confused Percy, "Late for what?"
"The field trip; how late did you stay up last night?" Grover questioned back.
"Pretty late," Percy laughed slightly, rubbing the back of his head, "I'll be out in a bit."
"Fine, but don't take too long." Grover sighed before leaving the dorm, closing the door on his way out.
Groaning to himself, Percy grabbed the pillow, tossing it aside as he leaned over to his nightstand. Taking ahold of a nearby water bottle, Percy quickly uncapped it and immediately poured the contents over his injured leg.

The following hours felt like a blur to Percy; the wound on his leg knit itself together in the brief seconds it contacted the water. But he could still feel the lingering pain. Pushing past, Percy rushed to prep for his field trip to the museum with Mrs. Dodds and Mr. Brunner.
