Senran Kagura: After Arkanum – Ange Ark Nova – Chapter 0: Prologue Part 5: Origin: Past to Present Part 3.

Years ago:

I was struggling with myself as I tried to fight back the transformation with all my might. I was not going to become what that monster wanted me to become! The corruption was flowing through me, and I could feel it all in my veins. This corruption, I could not allow it to change me into what I would become. I could not allow it to turn me into the very thing I swore to destroy! I struggled against my transformation as I staggered around struggling to stand properly for a moment until I fell onto my knees before I quickly took something out of my pocket. What I took out was an antidote of sorts which, though it cannot cure me completely from the transformation, it can at least halt it until I could either find or make a proper cure for it. I pressed the button to project a needle before I then stabbed myself at the area where that monster Ambrose had bitten me before I then injected the antidote into my veins. The feeling of its divineness was causing me intense pain due to my transformation as I screamed out loud in pure agony from the holy antidote entering into my bloodstream. It was so painful, so much so that I had to grab onto something to hold tightly as the antidote entered my veins, and I was gripping so, so hard that my hands felt like they were turning white. I then bite my lips to stop screaming in pain as I kept holding onto myself to fight this transformation.

Eventually, the pain had subsided, and I began breathing with a raptured voice until I was able to breathe normally again as I slowly got up on my feet before I took the syringe off my neck and dropped it on the ground as it was already empty. It worked for now, and it'll hold my transformation long enough until I can cure myself from this somehow, but if I'm not careful, if I somehow lose it with sheer anger, the antidote will weaken and I could easily turn to my transformation again, and that was something that I could not allow to happen. Once I regained my bearings, I slowly walked towards the corpse of the hunter who bitten me and stared at it for a moment before I picked up his shotgun, checked and saw that it only has one round left, cocked the shotgun, then aimed towards it right at his face and said in a cold tone, "I will not let you turn me into a monster…!"

I pulled the trigger and fired at his face, blowing his head off his corpse, then I dropped the shotgun onto the ground. Then I stepped back and sat on a nearby rubble to take deep breaths as I sighed, relieved that it was over and that I didn't have to see that monster's face anymore. But then I remembered about Mizuki and that she needed to be saved before something bad happens to her as I quickly got up and turned on my comms to communicate to anyone from the Good Shinobi Council as I said through the comms, "This is Ange! General Ambrose has been eliminated! Requesting permission to withdraw from the battlefield, as well as requesting for an evacuation team, immediately!"

I waited for a response from them for a moment until someone on the line said, "Granted! Go and meet up with the rest of your unit! Tell them to hurry and get to another location where an evac team will be on their way! I've marked your location on your GPS map, so don't be late!"

"Understood!" I said before I turned off my comms, then I whistled out as I called, "Shirou!"

Upon my whistle and my call, my horse Shirou arrived to me before I quickly hopped onto my horse and gave him two spurs, and we began hurriedly galloping back to meet up with my father and the rest of our Good Shinobi brethren. I had to hurry and head back so that I could go back and save Mizuki!

Meanwhile, Mizuki was hurryingly running with both Wakana and Umeko following behind her until she saw Akane talking to her father.

"Thank you, father, for letting me know that." said Akane, "It's good to know that General Ambrose is finally eliminated. With him gone, his army will now be at a disarray, and we may have the advantage of winning this war for good, however little the victory may be."

"Indeed." said Councilman Shiraishi, "And perhaps now that the fight to eliminate Ambrose is over, we may as well convince Councilwoman Leo to give up her position as a member of the council now as we may no longer need her anymore."

"That's true." said Akane, "It's thanks to her that the information she provided about Ambrose and his army that we were able to secure this victory for now." Akane looked down in wonder as she said, "Still, though, why would Ange request permission to withdraw from the battlefield and for an evacuation team?"

"Perhaps we'll know once she returns." said Councilman Shiraishi, "For now, I shall go and let the other council members know while you let your friends know about Ange's success. And once you're done, I want you to meet up with Councilwoman Leo and let her know about Ange's success as well as convince her to give up her position as the council member on the Shinobi Council's behalf right away."

"Yes, father, I will." Akane bowed to her father.

With a nod, Councilman Shiraishi left to inform the other council members.

"Akane!" Akane heard Mizuki called, and she turned to see Mizuki as well as Umeko and Wakana hurriedly rushing towards her until they stopped to catch her breath.

"Ah, Mizuki!" said Akane, "Just in time for the good news!"

"Akane…" said Mizuki, panting for breath, "Listen…I-I…I…I don't…I-I need…"

"H-hey, easy there." said Akane, "Are you okay? You look like you just ran a marathon."

"Yeah, we don't know why, either." said Umeko as she finally caught her breath, "She was already running mad the moment we saw her leaving from the Councilwoman's office."

"It was very strange." said Wakana, "We don't even know why, she just said there was something urgent to tell you and the others."

"Something urgent?" said Kazuki, who came in with Yuina walking next to him.

"Well, whatever it is, that can wait." said Akane, "You can tell me once I've brought out the good news."

"What is it?" Yuina asked.

"Well," said Akane, "The good news is that we just got word that Ange has finished off General Ambrose and is preparing to return home as soon as she meets up with the rest of the army and her father. And with Ambrose gone, we are one step closer to make sure peace is made to the village next to the Golden River."

"Really?!" Umeko brightened up in excitement, then cheered out, "Yay! Woohoo! That's great!"

"That's wonderful!" Wakana smiled.

"Alright, about damn time!" said Yuina.

"Yeah!" Kazuki nodded, "I expected nothing less from our best."

"Yup." Akane nodded, "Anyway, I'm planning on going to go meet up with Councilwoman Leo and inform her about the news. And hopefully, with any luck, I'll be sure to convince Councilwoman Leo to give up her position as a member of the Shinobi Council once I meet up with her right way."

"No, wait, don't!" said Mizuki, after she finished catching her breath and faced Akane, "Leo won't give up her position as a council member! I just learned a terrible truth about her!"

"Huh?" said Akane, surprised and confused, "You…did? What is it?"

Everyone looked at her just as curious and confused as Akane was before Mizuki then said, "Leo…she's…you were right about that terrible woman! Leo's an Evil Shinobi infiltrating within and trying to gain information about us from the inside!"

Everyone was shocked by this as they shouted, "What?!"

"An Evil Shinobi?!" said Akane, shocked.

"Yes!" Mizuki nodded, "When I came to see her, I eavesdropped on her once I overheard her conversation when she was talking on the phone! She was talking to an enemy she was associating with, a hunter going by the name Johnathan!"

"She's working with a hunter?!" said Kazuki, shocked.

"Are you sure that you heard her conversation correctly?!" Akane asked, "That she's with a hunter or a group of hunters?!"

Mizuki nodded and continued, "Yes, absolutely! But that's not all! I also learned that Leo had planned all of this to happen! She separated Onee-chan from us so that Leo could manipulate me to join their side! She was setting everything up to get to me!"

"Wait, what?!" Yuina shouted in shock.

"A set up plan?!" said Umeko, shocked.

"And a separation one to boot!" said Wakana.

"And she has our mothers and father in her control!" said Mizuki.

Shocked by this, everyone shouted, "WHAT?!"

"Your parents?!" said Kazuki, shocked and horrified, "No…not them…!"

"Dammit!" Akane cursed, "Then our worst fears have been realized!" She looked up to everyone with a determined look and said, "I'll prep a security team so that we can capture and detain Councilwoman Leo right away! Everyone, take Mizuki to the council chamber and keep her guarded and safe, in case if I don't come back!"

"Yes, ma'am!" everyone saluted.

"Mizuki, for your own good, you need to stay at the council chamber where you'll be safe." said Akane, "I'll go and deal with that wretch fake council member Evil Shinobi Leo."

"Wait!" said Mizuki, "But I can help you!"

"No, Mizuki!" said Akane, "I don't need your help on this! It's too dangerous for you! You need to go and stay at the chamber!"

"But I can-"

"I'm NOT asking you, Mizuki, that's an order from your leader!" said Akane in a serious tone, "Leo as an Evil Shinobi could be dangerous, and we don't know how dangerous she can be when in battle! If you came with me right now to deal with Leo, you'll only be put at risk! And it's a risk I'm not willing to make when your safety is on the line here! And besides, it's you that she and whoever she's associating with after, and if she gets to you then it's over for the Good Shinobis, and our enemies will win, and I'm not going to let that happen! You're our only hope for the Good Shinobis to end this war and we're not going to lose that hope, not now and not ever!"

"B-But…!" Mizuki tried to say.

Akane sighed and said to Mizuki with a gentle tone, "Look, Mizuki, your safety right now is our priority. If we lose you and you fall into the wrong hands, then everything we've done up until now will be for nothing. We can't let that happen, so we're doing this to make sure nothing happens to you. I'm doing this to protect you, not just because it's my job as a leader of this squad, but because you're my friend. And I know that if Ange was with us right now, she would've done the same for you." Mizuki looked at Akane as she continued, "And, if what you told me about Leo is true, that she is an enemy to the Good Shinobis that needs to be stopped for good, then you, Mizuki, as the Chosen One, have gained my trust. But for now, I need you to trust me, as a friend, please."

Mizuki became silent as she thought about it for a moment before she nodded to Akane and said, "Okay, I'll trust you on this."

Akane smiled and said, "Thank you, Mizuki." She then embraced her and added, "And don't worry. I promise, you're doing the right thing." She let go of Mizuki and said, "Now, go and wait at the council chamber, and whatever you do, do NOT leave. I'll be back."

With that, Akane left to prepare a security team to capture and detain the woman Leo who was infiltrating as a councilwoman of the Shinobi Council. Mizuki watches Akane leave her and her friends out of sight before Wakana patted her shoulder, getting Mizuki's attention, and then nodded to her, signaling her that they needed to take her to the council chamber now. Mizuki nodded back before she followed her friends as they take her to the council chamber for safety. Once they were inside, all they did, or at least could do for the moment, was wait for Akane to return.

As they waited for Akane, Mizuki, who was sitting on one of the council members' seats, thought back about Ange who was still out on a mission with their father and Ange's mother, then about Leo and the conversation that they had before she discovered who she was and her true intentions, and finally about her mother, who she last saw talking to Leo and the hunter associate Leo was working with. Meanwhile, Kazuki was at the door being on the lookout outside the chamber, Umeko was expressing concern as Wakana comforts her, while Yuina was pacing around in circles.

"How…?" Mizuki thought in distress, "How could this be happening? First father and Ange's mother…now my mother…and now I'm next? What'll we do?"

Kazuki stopped looking around outside for a moment and looked at Mizuki who was in distress, then he sighed before he muttered, "Augh, fuck it!" He then approached Mizuki before kneeling right next to her and held her hand, getting Mizuki's attention as she looked at him, before he gave her a reassuring smile and said to her, "Hey, Mizuki, don't worry, it's gonna be okay. Akane will handle everything and return to us. And when she returns with Leo in hand, she'll explain everything to the Shinobi Council for us and they'll understand." He placed his forehead onto hers and said to her, "It'll be okay, because we're here for you, to protect you, Mizuki."

Mizuki couldn't help but felt comfort in his words as well as relief in them because for her, his words felt genuine and truthful, as if they had meaning to her, and she couldn't help but smile at that before she sighed blissfully and said to him, "Thank you, Kazuki."

As they stayed as they were, their foreheads pressed against each other, Yuina, Wakana, and Umeko watched the two lovers being in their own little world together. Wakana and Umeko gave out smiles for them as if they were happy for them while Yuina gave out a frustrated pout as if she was being jealous.

Umeko looked at Yuina before she giggled and asked, "Jealous?"

Yuina gave out a comical angry look and yelled out. "HELL NO!"

Umeko and Wakana laughed at that.

However, as soon as their laughter died out, Umeko gave out a solemn look and asked, "Hey, do you guys…think that everything'll be okay?"

"Huh?" said Yuina, confused, "Whadaya mean?"

"Well, I mean, you know, with everything that's going on?" said Umeko, "Councilwoman Leo being an Evil Shinobi infiltrating inside the council, Ange and the rest of us being setup to be separated, and both Ange's and Mizuki's parents being lied and manipulated by the people we're fighting against? This whole thing has been really crazy. Plus, we would've lost Mizuki if Leo kept manipulating her like she did with her parents."

"That is true." said Wakana, "Plus, there's also the fact that Ange's and Mizuki's family have likely sided with the enemy that Leo is associating herself with. There's no way we can go to their family home and convince them not to join the enemy that we're supposed to be fighting against. Even if we did go to Ange's and Mizuki's home now, who knows how much lies that they had taken by them or how far that they had gotten to wanting to side with them. For all we know, they could be too far gone to even want to stay with the Good Shinobis anymore."

"Damn…!" Yuina cursed, "I can't believe that Leo was tricking us the whole time! We had an Evil Shinobi right underneath our noses and we didn't know it!" Yuina then slammed her fist on the wall and said in anger, "Dammit all! We should've seen this coming!"

Kazuki sighed before he got up and said, "Well, no use on dwelling on it now. All that matters right now is protecting Mizuki and keep her away from Leo, or anyone else who could be possibly working with her, as much as possible. Which also means that we can't take Mizuki home. For all we know, her mother could feed her lies just as those bastards did to her parents."

"Y-Yeah." said Umeko.

Mizuki looked down solemnly as if she had been hit with a dark reality of the situation, as well as whatever Leo had been telling her up until now, and what would've happened if she started believing in them and followed through them. Then she remembered Ange and both their parents, who have now sided with their enemies.

"Speaking of lies," said Wakana as she looked at Mizuki, and the others did the same, before she asked, "Mizuki, what kind of lies that Leo had been telling you? You've been the one who's been keeping an eye on the fake councilwoman for a long while. Was she really trying to manipulate you with lies? What exactly has she been saying to you?"

As everyone looked at her, Mizuki thought about the things Leo had been telling her up until now, then thought about whether to tell them or not for a moment before she sighed and thought, "Might as well tell them what I know." She looked at her friends and then began explaining everything that Leo had told her up until now. After she finished explaining everything to everyone, the others became silent as they thought about what Mizuki said.

"Unity between shinobis and hunters…?" said Umeko, "That's…crazy…"

"Yes." Wakana agreed, "As if it's something out of a fairy tale."

"Yeah, a pretty bad one, if you ask me." said Kazuki bitterly.

"A very bad fairy tale." Yuina agreed, "Like, really, there's no way shinobis and hunters could get along with each other! I mean, have you SEEN the way we interact with those monsters?! Plus, shinobis and hunters marrying each other?! Ugh, really gross! And who in their right fucking minds would even continue that so-called tradition?! As far as I'm concern, their planning on having a death wish or something!"

"Plus, marriage among enemies is forbidden." said Wakana, "If such acts were committed, it could lead to severe consequences, such as death, or worse."

"Yeah." Umeko nodded, "I mean, it happened to some of the people who did commit such things and they did not have a very good ending. I'm glad we're not one of those people. If we were, the Good Shinobis, or even our parents, would kill me. Or worse than kill me, and I don't even know what's worse than killing me, and frankly, I don't even wanna know!"

"Indeed." said Wakana, "After all, humanity and monsters could never coexist with one another. It's just not possible to do so, not with the war going on outside the world. Not now and not ever."

"Also, bad people among Good Shinobis and good people among Evil Shinobis and hunters?" Kazuki scoffed, "What a load of crappy bullshit! Who in their right minds would even BELIEVE that?! The Good Shinobis have been protecting innocent people since the Yōmas, Evil Shinobis, and hunters continued to exist to attack, hurt, and destroy people in their way, so we're the good guys here! Guys like them, the REAL bad guys?! They're heartless monsters who care about nothing but killing innocent people, bring chaos and destruction, and not giving two shits about the consequences that they made throughout their path! And they certainly don't care about us! They don't care about any of us Good Shinobis or what we want! All they do is lie to people, including us Good Shinobis, and manipulate us into doing whatever it is that they want us to do! And they keep using us and using us until they would have no use for us, and then they'd stab us in the back and leave us to die!" Kazuki looked down solemnly and said, "Believe me, I'd know. Because it happened to both my parents who were both in the same squad as Master Hanzo's daughter, who hasn't been the same since she was stabbed in the back by the hunters who she thought she could trust." He looked to Mizuki and said, "Mizuki, it's better for you if you don't believe in the lies that Leo said to you. Trust me, Leo is an Evil Shinobi, and she and whoever she's associating with are very bad news. Nothing good will ever come from whatever lies and manipulation they give you."

Mizuki looked down solemnly as she knew Kazuki was right. She had heard many times from Kazuki about what had happened to Kazuki's parents, who were killed by hunters after they were tricked and manipulated by them, and the event that caused the death of Kazuki's parents and their squad members left Master Hanzo's daughter traumatized for a very long time before she met her beloved husband, who had helped her get through her trauma and had a child together. Of course, she had fully recovered from the scars of the event, but she was never the same again after that event and could never fight as a Good Shinobi like she used to and was afraid to go out and venture outside the world for missions. Because of that, Evil Shinobis and hunters could not be trusted and must be eliminated at all costs before they could even lie and manipulate more innocent people, including Good Shinobis. Mizuki knows that she cannot trust any lies that Evil Shinobis like Leo, as well as hunters, that they make up to manipulate the Good Shinobis such as her. Mizuki knows that if she were to fall into their hands, the wrong hands, then their enemies would win and destroy the Good Shinobis, the only people who could fight and protect all of humanity, from the world. She knows all of that.

However, even a very small part of her, a part of doubt, couldn't help but wonder if…what Leo said to her really was a lie. Perhaps her words may have been just to get to Mizuki and trick her into joining their sides, but…why? Why her? Why would they want Mizuki specifically to join them? Why would they want her to switch sides with them if they have lots of Evil Shinobis and hunters at their beck and call? Why would they want her when they could use anyone from their side? What would they want with her? What kind of plans to they have with her? And how is it even related to the prophecy that she as the Chosen One has connections to? And…could they really bring her to her Destined One? The one who would help her save the world from darkness and bring balance to the world? And what's more, could they really be trusted? Of course, the Good Shinobis are indeed good people as they have done everything for them since she was brought in by them and have raised and trained her to be a shinobi who will defend the world, but…what if there were also good people in the evil side?

Mizuki thought back to the last words Leo had said to her, "Not everything we say to people is full of lies and manipulation. Everything we say is the truth. Just remember, any chance of finding the Destined One and any chance of protecting your friends and loved ones will all be gone along with me."

"Chances of finding my Destined One…and saving my friends…" Mizuki thought, "All will be lost with her…" Mizuki contemplated as she thought about the situation at hand and what to do. On the one hand, it could've been a trap, a ploy from Leo just for Mizuki to fall into and be brought in to the hands of the people she was associating with. One the other hand, what if it isn't a ploy? What if…?

"What if it isn't a lie?" Mizuki finally spoke up, getting everyone's attention, "What if Leo was actually telling the truth? What if everything she was telling us up until now was actually all true?"

"Mizuki?" said Wakana.

"A-Are you serious?!" Yuina asked incredulously, "You can't be serious right now! Are you serious right now?!"

"Mizuki?" said Umeko, "What are you saying all of the sudden?"

"Look, just…think about it for a moment." said Mizuki, "What if everything that our enemies have been saying to us up until now have not been lies, but truths to what is happening? What if they were telling the Good Shinobis who sided with them were the truths and that was the reason why they sided with them? I mean, why would they go through the trouble of bringing Good Shinobis to the side of the enemy without a good reason? What if there was actually no point in us Good Shinobis fighting against Evil Shinobis and hunters when we could just work together for a common cause? What if…there was no need for us to fight amongst each other anymore?"

"Mizuki, stop!" said Kazuki, "Do you even realize what you're saying?! You're talking nonsense to us right now! What do you mean 'what if'?! There is no 'what ifs' when we have the world at stake because of the enemies we're fighting against! Right now, we have a war against our enemies to finish, and you're saying that we should stop and try to work together with the very bad people who've been doing very bad things to every innocent people in the world?!"

"Kazuki, just think about it for a moment!" Mizuki got up from her seat, "We can't have a reason to fight amongst our enemies when we don't even know what their true goals and intentions are! And we don't even know what the people in the Good Shinobis are truly thinking if we don't even know if what they're doing is actually right or not! We need to at least think about the truth, start seeing reasons as to why they do these things, and question those reasons and whether it is right or wrong!"

"Question?!" said Kazuki incredulously, "Are you saying that we should question the Good Shinobis on what they're doing is right or not?! Don't be ridiculous, why in the world would we ever question them?! They're good people doing good things in the world, and you're suggesting we question our people?! That's stupid and illogical! We don't question our people or our allegiance to them! We just follow their commands and do our jobs as Good Shinobis and do good for everyone, we don't question the people who took us in and raised us!"

"Kazuki, listen to me!" said Mizuki.

"No, Mizuki!" Kazuki argued, "You need to stop! You have no idea what you're saying at all! In fact, this isn't you talking! You're just saying those things because Leo has been feeding you lies, and Evil Shinobis and hunters DO NOT tell truths! They just tell you what they want you to hear so that you could be put to their side! Guys like them, they don't care about you! They don't care about any of us!" They both became silent as the atmosphere soon became tense before Mizuki looked down on the ground away from the man she loves while Kazuki just stood where he was with a sigh. He then placed both of hands onto her shoulders before he said to her, "Look, Mizuki, what the Evil Shinobis and hunters say to us and what they do, they're all nothing but full of lies and deception. And what Leo's been doing and what she's been tell you…they're no different from what our enemies have been doing, and she's someone who can't be trusted. No matter what, Mizuki, you can't listen to the things she said to you until now. Just…please, don't believe it all. Let Akane handle things and put a stop to what she's doing once and for all. Then, once everything settles down, we'll find a way to bring back your parents."

"Kazuki…" said Mizuki.

"Mizuki, please." Kazuki softly pleaded, "Just…trust me. Trust us."

Mizuki was silent for a moment as she looked at Kazuki's pleading face as if he was silently telling to her to listen to him, believe in him, and trust him, before she looked at the other three companions of hers who were all giving out similar expressions, asking her to trust them, before she looked down on the ground as she contemplates on what she should really do for a moment. Then, after some time thinking, she looked up at Kazuki with a sad smile and said to him, "I do trust you, Kazuki. I truly do. All of you."

Upon hearing that, Kazuki and the others began to smile expectantly at Mizuki, believing that she had listened to them, before her smile suddenly turned into a serious expression and said, "But I can't let this all go away!"

With full force, Mizuki pushed Kazuki away from her before drawing out her sword and stabbed onto the ground, as ice began to form on the ground and spread throughout the chamber to create and icicle wall to prevent the other Shiraishi Squad Members to reach to her and stop her. The others, shocked from what Mizuki was doing, tried to reach out to her but were too late to get to her to stop her as the icicle wall was already formed right in front of them, preventing them from getting any further to Mizuki.

"NO!"

MIZUKI!"

"MIZUKI, NO, DON'T!"

"HEY! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"

"I'm sorry, everyone." said Mizuki with a sad apologetic expression before she turned around and said, "But…I have to find out the truth. I have to stop Akane from either capturing Leo or killing her…before it's too late, for me to find my Destined One."

With that thought made up, Mizuki went off and ran to stop Akane from doing anything that would be unthinkable, praying and hoping that she would not be too late for her to get her chance to find the Destined One and save the world from darkness.

Akane, with a security team of Good Shinobis right behind her following her, marched her way to the office that belonged to the Evil Shinobi infiltrating as a Shinobi Council Member, Leo. Once she made it in front of the door to her office, Akane stopped on her track to feel the presence of the Evil Shinobi inside the office room, and it felt dark and ominous to her. Akane gripped both her hands into fists in anger upon feeling the darkest presence surging in the room, which confirmed her suspicions as well as Mizuki's proof.

"This feeling…this presence…!" Akane thought, "So then, Mizuki was right; that false Shinobi Council Member Leo is indeed an Evil Shinobi after all. There's no question about it. She needs to be stopped now before she gets to Mizuki!"

Akane turned around to face the security team and said, "Listen up, our job right now is to capture and detain Councilwoman Leo and bring her in for her arrest and be brought to justice! You're free to use any force to capture her and bring her in alive but remember to be on guard! We don't know how dangerous Councilwoman Leo is! Understood?!"

"Yes, ma'am!" the security team saluted.

"Good." Akane nodded before she ordered, "Now let's move!"

Akane turned around to face the door before she forcefully opened the door and entered the room where she found Leo sitting at her desk as she turned around in her chair to face Akane and her security team while drinking tea.

"Ah, Akane!" Leo greeted, "I take it that General Ambrose has finally been destroyed, then?"

Akane remained silent as she gave out a stoic yet angered expression.

"You know, I must say," said Leo as she placed her empty teacup down on her hand, "You're actually here much sooner than I would've expected."

"You can drop the act, 'Councilwoman' Leo, or should I say 'Evil Shinobi' Leo?!" said Akane, "I know who you are, and I know what your intentions are!"

"Oh?" said Leo.

Akane took out her transformation scroll and chanted out, "Shinobi Tenshin…!" Upon her chant, she crushed her scroll and was enveloped into pure light before she was changed into her shinobi outfit, before she then drew out her two swords as the rest of the security team did as she said, "In the name of the Good Shinobis, the Shinobi Council, and the Japanese Government, you are hereby under arrest, Leo!"

"Oh, my." said Leo as she placed her empty teacup on the table while looking at Akane with a sly smile, "Are you threatening me of all people, Master Good Shinobi Akane?"

"The Shinobi Council will decide your fate!" Akane stated.

"Oh, but, Akane." said Leo, "I AM a part of the council."

"Not anymore, you won't be!" said Akane, "Once I explain EVERYTHING to the council who you really are!"

"Is that so?" Leo asked, "Hmm, well then…" She got up from her chair standing and facing against her enemies intending to capture her before she brought out her shinobi transformation scroll from her right sleeve and then said, "I suppose it's…treason, then."

"Yeah." said Akane while pointing her sword at Leo, "For you!"

Leo smirked and said, "We shall see." Then, with her hand holding the scroll up high, Leo loudly chanted, "SHINOBI TENSHIN!" Upon her chant, she crushed her scroll and was enveloped into pure light, blinding everyone in the room and catching them off-guard before she was changed into her shinobi outfit as she charged at them. Her shinobi outfit consisted of a headwear which consists of a yellow headdress decorated with red roses and white frills. She also wears a high-class yellow dress to match that has fur around the neck and a white ascot decorated with another red rose. She also wore a white dress under the yellow dress that is slightly longer and has feathered frills. Her legwear consists of white tights and yellow boots decorated with white fur and red roses to compliment her both her headdress and her dress. And in her right hand, she was wielding a shining burning sword, a laser blade, which she stabbed a close by security guard with right in the chest once she got close.

The security guard who got stabbed by Leo's laser blade screamed in pain before she sliced him vertically, cutting him in half as he falls to the floor and dies.

"What the hell?!" one security guard shouted in shock, "A laser blade?!"

"Everyone, stay in formation!" Akane ordered.

"Lookout!" another security guard shouted.

Within light speed, Leo charged at Akane and the rest of the surviving security team before she slashed down two security guards standing on both her sides, one on the neck and the other around the chest area, killing them both instantaneously as they both fell easily by Leo's hand. Akane and a few surviving security guards kept their guards up as they faced Leo before Akane charged at Leo, powering up her swords by igniting flames on one sword and freezing icicles on the other. As soon as she got close to her, Akane swung both her swords on both sides for a strike, but Leo, with light-speed, quickly and effortlessly blocked and parried both her attacks before she twirled around and kicked Akane right in the chest when she was left opened, knocking her back away from Leo. Akane, using the momentum of being pushed back and sliding on the ground, pushed herself off and began backflipping a few times until she stopped and stood up to regain her balance as two security guards passed her to charge and attack Leo, who blocked and parried many of the guards' attacks they threw at her with their weapons with speed as fast as lightning while moving elegantly before she finished off the guards one by one as they fall to the ground dead.

"O-Oh, God…!" the last guard began to panic, "Oh, my God, this is WAY worse than we thought!"

"Stay strong!" said Akane, "We can still take her down! We just need to-!"

Before Akane could even finish, the scared and frightened security guard turned around and tried to run away from the fight that was happening in the office, only to be suddenly cut down by Leo from behind and he falls to the ground now motionless.

"Ugh…Goddammit!" Akane groaned.

"You know," Leo chuckled, "You really need a better security team than this."

"Oh, screw you, bitch!" Akane yelled before she charged at the smirking Leo with her fire and ice katanas and clash her swords against her laser blade.

Meanwhile, Mizuki was running fast as she could in the hallway, hurryingly getting to Councilwoman Leo's office before something terrible happens and she loses her chance to find her Destined One and save the world.

"I have to hurry…to stop Akane and save Leo!" Mizuki thought as she ran, "C'mon, hurry!"

Akane and Leo were clashing their swords against each other, Akane's twin swords against Leo's laser blade, trading blows after blows onto their swords and sparks flew between them, and neither one of them took any hits as they blocked their attacks while trying to attack their openings. At the moment, they were both evenly matched with each other in speed and mobility. The difference was that Akane was struggling to keep up to land a hit with both her swords while Leo was effortlessly blocking her attacks with just one sword.

"Dammit…!" Akane cursed in her thought, "I'm not getting anywhere at this rate! If I don't do something about this now…!"

Akane raised her left foot for a kick, but Leo saw this and raised her right foot for a counter kick, and the two of them kicked each other's attacks before pushing each other away, making them backflip away from each other before Akane placed her swords together in a cross before she yelled out, "Secret Ninja Art: Twin Dragon Breathing Slash!"

Upon chanting her Secret Ninja Art, Akane slashed and unleashed a cross slash of fire and ice and directing the attack towards Leo and it hit her upon impact, causing smoke to be formed upon the explosion of the attack. Akane landed on the ground and stayed on guard as she watches the smoke began to dissipate. But then, with a swing of her blade, Leo, who survived the attack, blew away the smoke with the wind to reveal herself, before she smiled at Akane and said, "Not bad. Not bad at all. I have to say I'm impressed. That attack you made would've killed me had I not guarded myself, you even burned off my favorite sleeves. Though then again, I suppose I should expect nothing less at all from the daughter of Councilman Shiraishi."

"Compliments and flattery will get you nowhere, Leo!" Akane declared, "One way or another, I'm going to finish you and turn you in to the council where you'll be judged and be placed into imprisonment for infiltration, manipulation, and attempt to control everything from the inside for your personal gain, as well as trying to manipulate and control and turn our Chosen One against us!"

Leo laughed at that before she said, "Oh, dear, you make it sound like I'm doing a bad thing. Me? Manipulating and controlling everything from within the council? Turning the Chosen One against you? You actually got it all wrong. If anything, I'm actually doing a good and righteous thing, by getting the girl off the wrong and dirty hands of corrupted people, like the council."

"What?!" Akane glared.

"Come now, do you really believe that you and the rest of your Good Shinobi friends are protecting her?" said Leo, "That you're actually keeping her safe from the evil people who would dare to try and corrupt her, or use her for their own benefits?"

"Shut up!" Akane growled, "You don't know us! You don't know what you're talking about!"

"Oh, but I think I do." Leo smirked, "I know that the council are nothing but men who are filled with nothing but greed, that they are people who wants nothing more than to change the world and make profits for their own benefits, and that they use Good Shinobis like you as nothing but expendables, that you're all nothing to the council. In other words, tools to be used and then thrown away, not caring nor missing you." Leo smiled a more as she added, "Just like your mother."

"Shut up!" Akane growled, "You're lying! You have no idea what you're talking about at all, you lying killer!"

"Don't I?" said Leo, "I've watched you from within and have seen how you've been protecting and guarding your friends from the truth about the Good Shinobis, keeping them from knowing what you know about the corruption of people who want nothing more than to drown in their own fame and glory, struggling to keep others safe and to have everything you've ever wanted, while every terrible things made by your people happen from within the shadows, while the world around all of you make you choose. Or rather, you never had any choice, you only chose what others chose for you."

"You shut your damn fucking mouth right now!" Akane growled even angrier, "You don't know me, you don't know us, you don't know Mizuki, you don't know what we've all been through, the tough choices that we had to make! You're an Evil Shinobi who knows nothing about us, and you only associate yourself with the very monsters, the hunters, who are trying to destroy the world and end up wiping away all of humanity! You people are not humans, you're all killers and monsters who have NO heart nor soul! You can't even feel anything like we do! You're all beyond human beings who don't care about anything or anyone, and you have to be destroyed!" Akane looked down with a solemn expression and said, "You take everything from us Good Shinobis for your own purposes and for your own benefits, not even giving a damn about how others feel on what you've taken! You lie and manipulate our people and use them until they become worthless to you, and you kill our people just for the joy of it! Just like you took away my mother! Father told me that my mother was killed off by hunters during a mission and that she never came back, and that we could never see her again! That's why I dedicated my life as a Good Shinobi so that one day I could avenge my mother's death by killing the hunter who did it to her!" Akane then looked up and pointed her sword at Leo and declared, "That's why I stand by with the Chosen One so that one day, all of us Good Shinobis would be free from all of this, from all the pain and sorrow that you've caused and inflicted upon us! And as long as I'm still breathing, I will keep on fighting for what is right and end this war once and for all! And I'll do so by stopping you and turning you in to the council, and once I turn you in, and explain everything to the council, you and your associates are finished! We'll find the people you are working with and put you all in trial for your crimes and then put you all in execution, where you'll all be killed off for all the terrible things that you have done to the Good Shinobis and to innocent people! And I promise you, when you and your people die, no one is going to remember you ever again!"

Leo chuckled as she got into a fighting stance and said, "We shall see."

Akane growled angrily before she charged at Leo and clashed her swords against her laser blade as they resume their fight.

Meanwhile, Mizuki was already getting closer and closer to the office of Councilwoman Leo as she stopped to catch her breath. She inhaled and exhaled slowly to get the air in as she thought, "I'm…almost there…I just…have to…hurry and…get to them!"

As soon as she took in all the air into her lungs, Mizuki looked up and could hear the sound of swords clashing with each other, indicating that there was already a fight going on inside the office.

"Oh no!" Mizuki thought, "I…I have to hurry!"

"Secret Ninja Art: Twin Dragon Breathing Slash!" Akane shouted as she unleashed the cross slash of fire and ice at Leo, who quickly dodged the attacks as they instead hit and shattered the glass windows behind her, causing all the glass pieces to fall apart and fall to the ground outside. Akane charged at Leo and clashed her katanas with her laser blade, causing sparks to fly in-between their blades as they pushed against each other.

Amidst their fight, Leo sensed Mizuki was drawing closer to the office, then she gave out a quick smirk before looking back at Akane, who pushed her swords against hers much harder than before, bringing Leo close to the shattered window and making her lose her balance as she dropped to the floor as she was disarmed of her weapon, then faking to fearfully back away to the corner from Akane who points one of her swords at Leo, declaring herself the victor as she said with a stern look, "YOU are under arrest, 'my lady'!"

Akane then noticed Mizuki who came in just in time to see what was happening, she said surprised, "Mizuki?!" But then her expression quickly became serious once she realized what Leo was planning, before she brought a hand up and stopped Mizuki, signaling her to stand down.

"M-Mizuki!" said Leo, acting on her panic, "I-I knew! I knew it would come to this! I-I was right! The Good Shinobis! They're trying to take over everything!"

"SHUT IT!" Akane shouted, "Your plan to take control of us from the inside will NOT happen! YOU have lost!"

"Akane…" said Mizuki.

However, before Akane could take any further action in taking her in, Leo, rather than being intimidated by Akane and her threats, was actually chuckling to herself as if what Akane was saying to her was funny before she looked up at Akane and then suddenly, Leo looked up with fury in her eyes as she brought her right hand up and then moved it straight towards her as she shouted, "No…YOU WILL DIE HERE!"

Out from the palm of Leo's hand came out a large golden lion head that roared and charged at Akane, who quickly blocked the incoming attack as her two guardians, the twin dragons, a red and blue, appeared from both her sides and covered their master as they protected her from the golden lion that attempted to strike at her with a large bite attack.

"N-No way…!" Akane thought, "This is Leo's guardian…a lion?!"

Mizuki stood where she was as she watched the whole thing that was happening right in front of her; Leo defending herself by unleashing her guardian and attacking, while Akane guarded herself with her two guardians from the attack unleashed by Leo. Mizuki didn't know what to do in the situation that was happening. She knows that Akane was just doing her job, her duty as a leader, to protect her as the Chosen One, destined to save the world, and understands that she should just do as she's told by her leader and not let the enemies take her and use her for their own benefits. On the other hand, however, Leo was the only one who can lead her to what she needed to know, to the truth, to her Destined One, to her only chance of saving the whole world from the darkness that was happening outside. Mizuki didn't know what to do as two women fight against each other right in front of her eyes.

"MIZUKI!" She heard Akane yelled, snapping Mizuki out of her thoughts as Akane shouted, "GET AWAY FROM HERE! YOU NEED TO RUN AWAY, NOW! GET HELP!"

"NO, MIZUKI!" Leo shouted while pushing her guardian further, "SHE'S THE ENEMY!"

"SHUT UP!" Akane shouted angrily at Leo, while pushing back with her guardian dragons, "YOU ARE THE ENEMY TO THE WORLD! YOU AND THE HUNTERS! ERRRAAAHHH!"

Mizuki stood where she was as she looked back and forth from Akane to Leo, looking confused as if unsure of what to do in the situation that was right in front of her, unsure of to decide whether to help her closest friend and ally to turn in the criminal that threatens to destroy the Good Shinobis from within or to help the very enemy who may be her only chance at helping her find her Destined One and to save the world from darkness.

"MIZUKI!" Leo shouted, "PLEASE, HELP ME! I-I HAVE WHAT YOU NEED! I CAN BRING YOU TO HIM! I CAN HELP YOU SAVE THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE! PLEASE, YOU MUST CHOOSE!"

"NO!" Akane shouted, "DON'T LISTEN TO HER, MIZUKI! SHE'S LYING!"

"P-PLEASE!" Leo shouted while sounding as if she couldn't push back any longer, "D-DON'T LET THEM HAVE ME! DON'T LET HER KILL ME!"

As Akane used her guardian dragons to push Leo back, Leo's lion guardian was slowly starting to dissipate as Leo pleaded, "P-Please, j-just help me…I-I can't…hold on…any longer…I-I'm…I'm weak…I'm getting…too weak…Mizuki…!"

With a yell, Akane managed to break of Leo's lion guardian with hers, dissipating it for good and leaving Leo unguard and on the ground now defenseless as she cried out, "Help me! HELP ME!"

After breaking off her guardian, Akane pointed her katana at Leo, who lied on the ground now weakened as she pleaded, "P-Please…I-I can't…I can't…hold on any longer…"

"Shut it!" Akane shouted, "I'm done with all your lying bullshits and manipulations! I'm going to put an END to you, ONCE and for ALL!"

"Wait, you can't!" Mizuki called out to Akane to stop her, "We can't kill Leo! She needs to stand trial!"

"Mizuki, we can't, it's already too late for that!" said Akane, "We need to stop her and end her now! If we don't do that, she'll have control over the council and the court! She'll be too dangerous to be left alive!"

"No, no…!" Leo pleaded, "Don't kill me…please…!"

"But…Akane-!"

"Listen to me, Mizuki!" said Akane, "We can't let the enemy that she's associating with have you! If you go with them, if you fall into their hands, they'll use you and will doom all of us humanity! Mizuki, whatever she's told you, don't believe in them! She's just trying to manipulate you! If we don't end her now, she'll do more harm to everyone than good!"

"But…!" said Mizuki.

"Mizuki, I'm trying to protect you!" said Akane, "Please, you have to believe me and trust me and my words! I know you can trust me on this! Believe me!"

"Akane…!"

"Please, Mizuki!" Akane pleaded, "Trust me!"

Mizuki looked to see the pleading face of the leader of her squad who she also called a friend, pleading to Mizuki to listen to her words and trust her, to let her do the right thing or else the situation worsens than it already has. And Mizuki knows, she knows that Akane means well to her and all her squad mates and friends, that she deeply cares for them and everyone in the Good Shinobis, and that she should listen and trust her on what should come for the Evil Shinobi standing before them. Even still, however, Mizuki needs to find out the truth about what was truly going on and that if there are truly good people within the Evil Shinobis and if there are bad people within the Good Shinobis or not, and if her Destined One was within the Evil Shinobis or hunters, and whether she liked it or not, Leo was the only one who could lead her to them.

Mizuki shook her head as she looked at Akane and tried to reason, "No, we can't, Akane! This is NOT the right way! Leo…she has to live! She must live!"

"No, Mizuki…" Akane said quietly to herself, shocked and horrified at what was happening to the Chosen One. She saw that Mizuki was already beginning to fall to the dark side, the side of evil that was tempting her to side with them for the lies that they were feeding to her, for the manipulations that they were putting onto her, and Akane knew that if she doesn't do something to stop it now, everything that she and the Good Shinobis have done along with Mizuki will all be for nothing! They'd lose their Chosen One, and by extension, any hope that they have to end the darkness, the Evil Shinobis, hunters, and Yōmas, once and for all.

"I…I'm sorry, Mizuki!" Akane thought as she looked away from Mizuki, before she looked and glared at Leo and thought, "But, I promise, this is for your own good!"

"N-No…p-please, don't!" Leo pleaded.

"I NEED HER!" Mizuki shouted.

Akane raised her sword up high above her, ready to strike the finishing blow onto the Evil Shinobi disguised as a Shinobi Council member, ready to finish her off before it was too late, before she could do any more damage than good to everyone and taking the Good Shinobi's only hope away.

"N-NO, PLEASE!" Leo screamed in a panic, "PLEASE, DON'T!"

"DIE!" Akane yelled as she swung her sword down from above to strike down and finish off Leo for good.

"NOOOOOO!" Mizuki screamed and, in a panic and desperate attempt to stop her, she drew out her sword and swiftly stopped Akane by striking and injuring Akane's hand holding onto a sword that was about to strike down Leo, causing Akane scream out in pain as she held onto the severe wound while she dropped her sword onto the ground.

Mizuki, realizing what she had just done, looked on at what had happened with a look of shock and horror on her face as she slowly back away from what she had caused to the friend and leader that was trying to protect her. Mizuki couldn't believe what she had just done: hurting a friend who was trying to protect her all to protect the Evil Shinobi disguising herself as a council member. And all the emotions she was feeling were shock, horror, fear, and guilt, as her thoughts were, "Oh, God…what have I done?!"

Akane, fighting through the pain as much as she could, looked up at Mizuki who was terrified at what she had done to her just to protect Leo from death. And as much as she could, Akane gave Mizuki a comforting and reassuring smile to her, knowing that she didn't mean to hurt her and that she was only trying to protect a life, and that she doesn't blame her for doing this to her. Before she could say anything else, however, Leo, now having an opportune opening to strike, unleashed her lion guardian at Akane to attack her as the large golden lion head roared and charged Akane before it bites her around the center, causing Akane so much immense pain as she screamed out loud in agony from the bite of the large lion. At that, Mizuki gasped in shock and horror from what was happening right in front of her, of what was now happening to Akane, her friend and leader, of the consequence of the action that she had made to save the false councilwoman Leo.

Leo gave out a chuckle before she said with a grin, "You should've listened to your friend, your precious 'Chosen One', when you had the chance. And…you should've stayed away from our business…!"

With those final words to her, Leo, with her lion guardian, pushed and threw Akane out the broken window and, with full power and strength, far and far away flying out and then falling down into the city, with the last thing that was heard from her was her screaming until she fell all the way to the ground, and likely to her death. Mizuki stood in shock from what she had just seen right in front of her. She had just seen her closest friend and ally, as well as leader of her squad, thrown out of the building and to her death by the very woman she had just saved. And she herself had caused her death to happen, all because she interfered in her attempt to put an end to the Evil Shinobi before things could get out of hand. The shock of what happened in front of her, and knowing that she was the one who caused all of it to happen, Mizuki was brought into tears of distraught as she was brought to her knees and began to cry and wail in guilt and despair for letting all of it to happen to one of her closest friends.

"WHAT HAVE I DONE?!" Mizuki cried and wailed out, as it was all she could do as she covered her teary face, "WHAT HAVE I DONE?!"

Then suddenly, the door busted open as Kazuki and the others came inside to stop Mizuki and help out Akane, only for them to see what was going on right in front of them before they realized that it was already too late, as they saw Mizuki crying in tears and Leo was still alive as she was getting up, and they were all shocked with wide eyes of what had happened.

"What…in the world?!" said Yuina, wide eyed in shock.

"Oh my God…!" said Umeko, shocked and horrified.

Wakana held Umeko in an embrace as she said while trying to hide her look of shock and horror as she looked around, "Akane…? Where's Akane?!"

Kazuki, while horrified of what was happening right in front of him, watched Leo getting up on her feet while Mizuki was on the ground in tears, and quickly managed to connect the dots on what happened before he glared at Leo in anger as he stepped up and yelled out at her, "You BITCH! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?! WHAT DID YOU MADE MIZUKI DO TO AKANE, OUR LEADER?!"

Leo chuckled before turning to Kazuki and the others and said, "I haven't done a thing. I was merely helping her fulfill her destiny as the 'Chosen One', by having her protect an innocent life."

"You…?!" Kazuki growled in anger, "Fulfill her destiny…?! Protecting innocent life?! YOU?!" He then drew out his weapon and shouted angrily, "DON'T YOU GIVE ME THAT BULLSHIT?! TELL US, WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE, TO MIZUKI, AND TO AKANE?!"

Yuina joined in with Kazuki as she drew out her weapons, ready to fight the Evil Shinobi standing before them while Wakana stood up with caution while guarding Umeko who hid behind her sister figure. Leo stood calmly as the others prepared to fight against her before she smiled and said, "Are you sure you want to fight against me? I doubt you would've lasted even a minute if you tried to. Besides, I already gotten rid of Akane before you got here." She turned to the window where she threw Akane away and said, "Although, it's a shame I had to do so. I'm sure she would've made a value ally to my associates if she were properly explained about everything."

"DON'T YOU GIVE US THAT BULLCRAP!" Kazuki shouted.

"YEAH, AS IF AKANE WOULD EVER BELIEVE IN WHATEVER LIES YOU FEED HER!" Yuina shouted in agreement.

Kazuki looked to Mizuki, who still had a horrified look in her eyes from the action she had made and the consequence it brought, before he told her, pleading to her, "Mizuki, c'mon, get up!" When she did not respond, he pleaded to her more, "Mizuki, c'mon, you have to get up and fight back! You know what Evil Shinobis are capable of when it comes to lies and manipulation! If you don't get up and fight back, she'll keep manipulating you until she gets what she and whoever she works with wants! She'll destroy all of us Good Shinobis!"

"Is that what you truly think I would do?" Leo asked, "Or is that what you were all told to believe by the people you're aligned with?

"SHUT UP, EVIL SHINOBI!" Kazuki yelled at Leo, "You're a villain, a bloody monster who's taken everything from us! You and every Evil Shinobis and hunters all around the world! You damn people took EVERYONE and EVERYTHING from us! You even took away my parents, turned them against our people and used them until they were of no use to you, and you killed them along with everyone in their squad! We've lost TOO much because of you!" Kazuki then stepped up and readied himself as he said firmly, "And I refuse to lose anymore! I won't let you take Mizuki from us!"

"Yeah, I'm with Kazuki!" said Yuina, also with a determined look on her face as she readied herself, "Because I'm gonna avenge out leader that you just made Mizuki killed!"

"Everyone…" said Mizuki.

"Mizuki, please!" Kazuki pleaded, "Get up and help us stop Leo! If you do, once we're done with her, we'll explain everything to the Shinobi Council about this and tell them exactly what happened, and I'm sure they'll understand and they'll forgive you for what you did under Leo! So, please-!"

"Is that what you think is going to happen?" Leo asked, "Do you really think the Shinobi Council will listen to what you said, understand the situation and forgive you? Do you really think the Good Shinobis, the Council, or even the Japanese government are one your side? Do you really think they care about any of you?"

"SHUT UP!" Kazuki shouted, "The Good Shinobis have raised and trained us all to fight against evil, bad and terrible people like you! They have given us everything and gave us purpose to our lives and meaning to keep fighting! Everything we fought for, everything we stood for, everything we've done for peace and tranquility, we…we won't let you…TAKE THAT AWAY FROM US! AND WE WON'T LET YOU TAKE MIZUKI, OUR CHOSEN ONE, AWAY FROM US!"

Leo chuckled and said, "Well, then…come at me, because I'd like to see you try to stop me."

"Stop…" Mizuki silently muttered.

Kazuki and the others readied themselves to attack Leo as they readied their weapons.

"Stop it…"

Kazuki and the others readied themselves to strike at Leo. However, just when they were about ready to charge at her, Mizuki suddenly screamed out loudly, "STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPP IIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTT!"

This caused everyone to stop what they were about to do as they looked at Mizuki, who was now looking up with sadness and tears in her eyes as she silently and tearfully said to everyone, "Please, just…just stop it…!"

"Mizuki…?" said Kazuki, shocked at what his love was saying.

"Please, just stop…!" Mizuki tearfully said, "I…I don't…I don't want anyone to fight…to hurt or kill each other anymore…!"

"Wha…but…Mizuki-"

"What's the point in all of us fighting?!" Mizuki tearfully said, "What's the point in doing all of this when all we see are our loved ones just killing or getting killed?! I…I don't want this…I don't want to fight anyone, especially if our enemies are just like us: people!"

"W-What the hell are you saying?!" said Yuina, "If we don't fight against the Evil Shinobis and hunters, then-"

"THEN WHAT?!" Mizuki tearfully shouted, "WE JUST HAVE TO KILL THEM SO THAT THEY DON'T KILL US?! THAT'S WRONG!" Mizuki toned down her voice as continued tearfully, "I…I don't want this…I don't want this fighting to go on anymore…I want peace to be made, for everyone to live in peace and have happiness, not end up having things to end in violence…!"

Mizuki got up and turned around as she walked towards Leo, much to everyone's shock and worry, before Mizuki knelt in front of Leo as she tearfully pleaded, "Please, Leo…I'll…I'll do anything that you ask…"

"Mizuki…!" said Kazuki.

"Mizuki, no!" Umeko cried out.

"Do you even know what you're doing?!" said Wakana worriedly.

"Yes…I do…" Mizuki said to the others before turning back to Leo as said, "Just…just please, take me to my Destined One…I-I want this whole war to end…I can't let it keep going like this…! I can't bring peace if this goes on forever!"

Leo was silent for a moment as she watched Mizuki plead to her before she smiled, seeing that Mizuki was being honest, and said as she brought her hand out for her to take, "Of course, Mizuki." Mizuki took her hand as Leo pulled her up before Leo said to her, "I can help you find your Destined One."

"You know where my Destined One is?" Mizuki asked.

"Of course." Leo nodded, "He's with a group of hunters that hired me to be sent for you, and I can take you there to him. But first, we need to leave this place now." Leo looked at the others and said, "Of course, you're all coming with me as well."

"What?!" Yuina shouted, "Why us?! Why the hell should we come with you, Evil Shinobi?!"

"Because it's not safe for you all to be here, either." said Leo, "If you all stay here and not come with me with Mizuki, you'll all be in deep trouble, and trust me, you won't like what'll happen."

"No way!" said Kazuki, keeping his guard up, "We're not going anywhere with you, and neither is Mizuki!" He then held Mizuki by her hand and said to her pleadingly, "Mizuki, don't go with her! She's an Evil Shinobi and she can't be trusted! If we just stay here and explain everything to the council, they'll-"

"Kazuki, stop!" said Mizuki as she pulled her hand away from him, before she turned to look at him with a serious expression as she said, "I've already made up my mind. I'm going with Leo to find my Destined One, and I'm going to stop this war!"

"M-Mizuki…" said Kazuki.

"I'm going." said Mizuki as she looked at each of her friends, "Are all of you coming?"

Kazuki and the others were silent for a moment as they contemplated on what they should do now, as at this point, Mizuki could no longer be convinced to stay with them now so that they could explain everything to the council in her defense, as she has already made up her mind to go with Leo, to the Evil Shinobis and hunters that she's affiliating herself with. So, it was either stay where they were and let Mizuki go and let her be known as a traitor to the world or go with Mizuki to go with Leo, an Evil Shinobi who would likely send them into a trap to their end. It was a very tough decision to make, especially when they could not dare to trust an enemy of their kind. But in the end, what other choice did they have in the matter? Even if they explained everything to the council, without her present with them, they'll never be able to prove her innocence.

And so, Umeko stepped up and said as her mind was made up, "Yeah, I'm coming with you!"

"Umeko…?" said Wakana worriedly.

"Look, if Mizuki's going, then we might as well go along with her." said Umeko, "It's not like we can change her mind right now. And besides, we can still protect Mizuki as long as we're with her, and if it's a trap, then we'll just have to turn back and run."

"Well, that is true, but…are you certain?" Wakana asked, "We don't know if we'll be able to turn back or not, let alone return back to the Good Shinobis, to our families."

"Maybe not." said Umeko, "But we'll just have to see where this goes for us. Plus, I…I also wanna know what's really going on, too."

"Umeko…" said Wakana as she looked at her little sister figure for a moment before she sighed and said a smile, "I could never take my eyes off of you for even a moment." She then approached Umeko as she held her hand and said, "Very well. I'll come with you as well. Where we'll go, we'll go together."

"H-Hey!" said Yuina, stunned by the two's sudden decision before she grumbled and yelled out, "Arugh, DAMMIT, FINE! I'm coming with you too, Goddammit! Seriously, why do I have to get stuck with you people…!"

Umeko and Wakana laughed as Yuina crossed her arms and looked away from her friends with an angry tsundere expression.

Mizuki smiled at the three girls for a bit before turning to Kazuki, who was having mixed emotions swirling in him, most of it being anger and distrust towards Leo, others being shock, distress, worry, and fear for his squad mates and Mizuki herself, and she could see why. Mizuki approached Kazuki before holding onto his hand in a sign of comfort and told him in a way of reassuring him, "Kazuki, it's okay. Whatever's left of us, we'll still stay with each other and be together. All we need to do is stick together."

"Mizuki…"

"I'm sure it's what Akane would've wanted us to do." said Mizuki, "And besides, if you're with me, I'm sure I'd feel much safer."

Kazuki was silent for a bit as he took his lover's words in before he sighed in defeat, knowing that he couldn't say no to her once her mind was made up, and said to her, "Okay…alright. I'll go with you, Mizuki. Just to make sure that you're safe with us." He then turned to Leo with a serious and angry expression as he said to her, "But, let me make this clear…! If you're lying to us and you're tricking us into a trap, I swear, I'm GOING to KILL you!"

Leo smirked and said, "I'd like to see you try. But, if I'm not, then you'll have a reason to side with us."

Kazuki looked away with a scoff and said, "Like hell I would…!"

"Now, let's go." said Leo, "To the train station. Your mother and my colleague are there."

Then, with no time to waste, Leo ran off and made her escape through the shattered window to head to train station, with Mizuki and the others following her to meet up with Miyori and Johnathan.

The battle with the army of hunters continued on as our Good Shinobis soldiers and Ambrose's army of hunters continued to engage one another, although the army of hunters were already weakening by strengths and by numbers as their general of the army was nowhere to be found as he was already dead by the time I got back to the battlefield, and the Good Shinobis were already pushing the enemies back, forcing the army of hunters to retreat, scattering and running away in complete disarray without their general leading and giving out commands for them.

I galloped with Shirou with my sword drawn and quickly took out nearby hunters who were trying to escape down before I stopped to see one of our Good Shinobi soldiers, Shiori, as I commanded, "Shiori, tell everyone to regroup right now! We don't have much time! We need to regroup and get to the rendezvous point for withdraw and evacuation!"

"Yea, ma'am!" Shiori saluted before she asked, "But why withdraw and evacuate, ma'am?!"

"Because this is not a mission!" I said, "This whole thing was a diversion set up by Councilwoman Leo to draw us away from the Chosen One! We need to return now and save Mizuki before it's too late! Tell everyone to gather and regroup the rest of our men to the rendezvous point for withdraw and evacuation, we need to move now!"

"Yes, ma'am!" Shiori saluted.

I then looked around at my surroundings and noticed something was wrong before I asked, "Wait, Shiori, my father is missing! Where's my father?!"

"What?!" said Shiori, "I-I'm not sure! Last I saw him, he was following some of our soldiers to the village that's close to the Golden River!"

"What?" I said as I thought to myself, "But…why would he follow our soldiers that's heading towards the village? Doesn't he know that those men are going there to protect the villages from the attack?"

"I-I'm not sure why he'd go there either." said Shiori, "Maybe he must be going there to provide back-up for our Good Shinobi men?"

"What?" I thought, "But, why would father go to the other Good Shinobis at the village to provide his assistance? Surely, there was no need." No…no, that cannot be it. There's no need to back up the Good Shinobis that're protecting the village near the Golden River, because their numbers and strengths together are enough to hold off the army of hunters should they try to come near the village, even some of the powerful ones we face. Even father should know that by now, so he has no need to go to the other Good Shinobi soldiers at the villages to help them! Unless…

"No…" I said as I realized something was wrong, "No, something doesn't seem right…!" I looked to Shiori and ordered as I handed her the GPS map with the rendezvous point marking on it, "Shiori, go hurry up and gather and regroup all of our soldiers now! I'll go to the village and see what my father is doing there! Head to the rendezvous point to meet up with the evacuation team, immediately!"

"Y-Yes, ma'am!" Shiori saluted before she said to all the Good Shinobis in the field through her comms, "All Good Shinobi Soldiers, these are our orders from Ange! Fall back and regroup! We are…!"

As Shiori gives out orders to all the Good Shinobis in the field, I turned Shirou around before I gave him two spurs and we began hurriedly galloping to the village near the Golden River where my father was heading. I didn't know why, but I had a very bad feeling about what was going to happen. Surely, father wouldn't dare to…!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"

I gasped at the distant sound of someone screaming, and suddenly, to my utter horror, I saw that there were bodies of Good Shinobis lying still on the ground as blood was slowly seeping from their bodies from cuts and slashes around their bodies. Right in front of me, the Good Shinobis…our brothers and sisters, were all dead on the ground. Or rather, they were all being killed one by one. In fact, it looked almost none of them have even made it to the village that they were supposed to go and protect. As I got off of Shirou and looked around in utter horror, I slowly walked and moved forward to see more dead bodies of killed Good Shinobis, more blood spread everywhere around me, until I stopped as I heard screaming and saw blood that was just splattered right in front of me, and I looked up to see, and my eyes widened as my worse fears came true. Right in front of me, the Good Shinobis who were fighting to protect the village were all being killed off…by none other than my own father!

Right in front of me, father was fighting and killing off Good Shinobis who were trying to get to the village to protect it from any threats from hunters. And right around the corner, my mother was watching all of what was happening unfold right in front of her, but she didn't look horrified of what was happening in front of her. No, her expression was completely neutral, as if she was accepting what was happening and what her husband was doing to the Good Shinobis.

I was horrified at what was happening…I couldn't even believe my own eyes! My father…my father, the very man of the Good Shinobis, was killing off his own brethren! He was just killing them! He was just killing them! He was just killing them! He…He…HE WAS JUST KILLING HIS OWN FELLOW GOOD SHINOBIS WHO'RE TRYING TO PROTECT PEOPLE! AND MY MOTHER WASN'T DOING ANYTHING TO STOP THEM! MY MOTHER, WHO I GREW UP WITH FOR A LONG TIME, WAS ALLOWING ALL OF THIS TO HAPPEN TO OUR PEOPLE! WHY?! WHY?! WWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYY?!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"

The scream of the Good Shinobi snapped me out of it as I saw a female Good Shinobi was cut down by my father as she fell and rolled around until he stopped close to me, and I looked in horror as she looked up at me, with blood covering all over her body, with an expression as if she was pleading to me as she said to me pleadingly with her dying breath while reaching up her shaking hand to me, "A-A-A-A-A…A-Ange…h-h-help…p-please…h-h-help…us…" Then, she became limp as her hand fall to the ground and her head went to the side as her eyes soon became lifeless, and her whole body became motionless.

I was horrified of what just happened to the Good Shinobi right in front of me before I looked up to see that father was approaching towards the last Good Shinobi left standing. He was on the ground, shaking and cowering in fear as father approached him with his sword ready to strike him.

"N-No!" he screamed at my father, "No, please! Please! Please, no! D-Don't kill me! Please, don't kill me! I'm a Good Shinobi like you! I'm trying to protect people! Why're you doing this?! We're on the same side!"

"No…no, we're not!" my father said coldly, "Not anymore!"

"N-No, please!" the last Good Shinobi screamed, as he saw my father about to go for the finishing blow, "Please, no!"

"FATHER, STOOOOOOOOOOPPPPP!" I screamed out to him.

Upon hearing my voice, my father stopped what he was doing before he looked at me with the look of shock on his face. He turned around to face me as my mother slowly moved close to my father while also looking at me with shock. I look at them with a horrified expression as tears started flowing down from my widened eyes as I felt betrayed from what was happening right in front of me. I looked at them tearfully as I didn't want to believe what was happening right in front of me, but everything was shown to me. My father, the Good Shinobi, was betraying and killing off the very people he swore loyalty to, and my mother was joining him. We didn't even noticed the Good Shinobi scurrying away to go behind me nor did we even noticed Shiori and the rest of the Good Shinobis approaching from behind me.

"Why, father…?!" I said to him tearfully, "Why are you doing this?! Those were the Good Shinobis, our brethren, the very people we've been fighting with, the very people we've sworn loyalty to, THE VERY PEOPLE YOU'RE KILLING! WHY?! WHY ARE YOU KILLING THEM?! WHY?! WHHHHHHHHHHYYYYY?!"

I gasped and panted out from screaming so much to my father as I looked up at him, slowly seething out anger towards him as my expression slowly went from the look of horror to pure rage.

"Ange…" father said to me, "There are things you don't understand…!"

"Dear…!" mother said to him, "We-!"

"She needs to know!" father said to my mother before he said back to me, "Ange, we were just trying to protect the village from-"

"No…!"

"What…?"

"Ange…?"

"NO…!"

As I said that, I felt my rage boiling inside me, which was causing my transformation to begin as I felt powers of darkness flowing through me. But I didn't care about that! Because I was angry at my father for what he had done to our Good Shinobi brothers and sisters! I became angry at him for killing our people! I became angry at him for betraying US! Yes! YES, that's right! He was a…he was a…!

"Traitor…!"

"Ange…?"

"TRAITOR…!"

"Ange!"

"Ange, no!"

"…TRAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTOOOOOOOOOORRRRR!"

I screamed our in pure rage as my transformation began drastically. I was bearing razor sharp fangs from my teeth, extending out razor sharp claws from my fingers, growing out three dark long tails from behind, sprouting out six dark devil wings from behind my back, sprouting out smaller devil wings from my forearms and legs, turning my skin into darker reptilian scales, growing dark horns from the top of my head, and my screaming voice was turning to a roar of a wild monster. I was as if I was becoming a devil myself. But I didn't care about any of that at all. There was only one thing that mattered to me as I looked at the very people who betrayed me, betrayed all of us!

Killing off the traitors!

"TRAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRR!" I roared out to them before I began charging at them as I began my attack.
