Classic sonamy Rosy super excited about her adventure tries to tell the other orphan kids about her time with Sonic. Everyone makes fun of her calling her a liar saying Sonic would never hang out with a freak like her. This upsets Amy and wonders when her hero will come back. As if hearing her Sonic suddenly shows up he makes a big show of them being friends now and she totally was telling the truth. Sonic doesn't take kindly to bullies picking on his friends. Sonic then invites Amy on his team.

Prompt:
Rosy stood on a rock and gave wild gestures and theatrical retellings of her adventures with Sonic, chasing after the famous blue hero who was the talk of the town, excited to share what she had experienced.
"And then-!" she jumped up and wobbled a bit on the rock but caught her balance expertly, doing a small ballerina spin into a dip, lifting a leg up, "He caught me from Metal Sonic's ropes being ripped apart by his super manly and healthy sharp spines! I was spindashed to safety and that's my story!" She jumped up and spread her arms out wide, "Sonic had to dodge a bunch of falling flooring and ran down the long, huuuugeeee chainlink with me clinging in his arms!"
Some children were sitting quietly in awe, leaning forward at her every word of Sonic's heroism and awesome feats of speed, but three in the back–admittably much older than the youngsters so enthralled by her story–smirked and rolled their eyes at her, folding their arms.
"A bunch of rubbish a silly little girl made up to feel special!" one boy, standing among the three in the front, walked through the crowd of kids to kick one over so he could approach her 'soapbox' rock. "Let me ask you this… how'd you even FIND Sonic The Hedgehog?" He rose an eyebrow, and Rosy knew exactly what snare he was trying to set up for her.
"He… I… Umm…" She wringed her little skirt… "I… I was playing with my cards, and umm…"
"Playing?" The boy laughed, then pointed directly into her face, almost making her fall off the rock she was on. "Witchcraft!"
She stumbled a bit before regaining her balance, but he held his finger in a 'paused-flick' motion, "You're nothing but a freaky fangirl who daydreams! You made the whole thing up, Witch!" he flicked her nose and the gang laughed as she tumbled off the rock and fell down on her side, squinting her eyes at the pain of being pushed around.
The kids gasped, getting up as one tried to hold the other, older boy's arm back, "Stop it, she's not harming anyone!"
He pushed the little girl off of him, "Heh, not yet! But if she keeps up those 'card readings' she's sure to cause trouble!" he nonchalantly walked over and picked Rosy up, as she kicked and squrimed, grabbing his wrists with both her hands.
"L-Let me go! I'm telling the TRUTH!" she tried to kick at him and spread her legs to try and make herself heavier, but to no avail.
"Would you quit the lying and decieving?" He shook her up a bit, and she pulled her limps in tightly, afraid of what he might do… "Get it through your thick, pretty little skull, Hedgehog! You're NOTHING. You'll always be nothing, and no one's gonna care about a sorry little freak that plays with magic like you!"
Her face shook as her lips trembled.
She wanted to say something… but being bullied about her 'fake tarot card readings' and being called a 'witch' really got to her this time.
Normally, she would let it roll off her shoulders like rain, letting it pelt all it wanted, and ignoring the rainy days…
But this time…
He was spitting these words right in her face, and yelling so loudly that it rippled through her whole body… this was true fear…
"I'm…" she couldn't look him in the eye anymore, "I'm not-AHh!" she dropped from his grasp and landed on the dirt, coughing as dirt had gotten up her little nose…
"You are." he stated, smirking down at her as he loomed over her tiny body, "And you always will be… Better start learning your place and give up on these ridiculous stunts for attention. No one likes your stories, anyway!" he kicked her back and she skid a bit on the ground, not rolling, but squinted an eye as she got back up.
"Better stay down, if I were you." A boy to the left of the main bully stated, as they turned to walk away.
Rosy, with her arms trembling under her… lifted herself up, gritting her teeth… "… No."
The boys all stopped, "She didn't just say that." The main boy turned back to face her, narrowing his eyes. "I know you didn't just say that."
"… I'm not lying…" She put one shaky, brave hand on her knee, then pushed off to wobble and stand up… her fists at her sides. "I did have an adventure with Sonic The Hedgehog… and I did read that I'd find him where I said I did… Nothing you do or say… nothing you threaten or tell me you'll do… no amount of pushing me around or hurting others is gonna change that truth!" she faced him with tears not daring to fall at her eyes, showing true strength of courage, spirit, and character. "I know what I lived through and saw!" she cried back to him. "And I know you're just jealous cause I'm gonna be Sonic The Hedgehog's girlfriend!"
The boys all froze a moment… looking confused.
Then they burst out laughing, as Rosy held her head back, not realizing why they weren't mad or retaliating.
"It's just so sad!" The older boy clutched his stomach, "You really are delusional!"
"She's pipin' mad!" the other boy stated, as the one on his right snickered into his hand.
"She's gone too deep in her fantasies..!"
Rosy's anger… was only rising…
She shook her fists by her sides… her face turning red.
"Ahhh~ There's no saving a freak like you, kid." The leader wiped a tear from his side, then disregarded her with a wave of his hand, "The sad fact is… you'll be alone and unloved the rest of your days… and there is never gonna be a hero to save you from that fate. It's the hard, cold truth that you keep psyching yourself out of. You're just like us, abandoned, forgotten, and left to fiend for ourselves… There are no heroes, princess…" he looked her dead in the eye, "And there never will be… especially for the likes of you, Witch!" he picked up a rock, and throwing his leg up, did a baseball-player's like stunt to throw the rock at her face.
Her eyes honed in on the moving rock, widening her eyes and shrinking her pupils… There are heroes in this world… And she did meet her favorite one…
That hope of being next to him again… strong enough to stand by his side… it was beginning to diminish in her heart as she felt that when that rock hit her… it may take away all her precious memories of Sonic The Hedgehog and her's adventure together…
But then she saw it.
A flash of blue.
A blur of light.
"Woah, throwing rocks at little girls now, are we?"
Her small whine cascaded like sparkling dewdrops falling off a leaf from a heavy downpour. "Sonic..?" She whined out, her heart beating once more as though new strength and life had been transferred to it.
Sonic tossed the rock up and down in his hand, carefree with a confident smile on his face.
"It can't be…" The leader fell back, landing on his bum. "It's impossible..!" he whimpered out, his own eyes and lips trembling now.
The little kids, who were bundled together at the orphanage, suddenly rose their heads in amazement, "It's him!" one cried out, "It's Sonic The Hedgehog..!"
Sonic caught the rock he had thrown up repeatedly and smirked, "That's right. I always appear when there's a bully afoot."
The other two boys on either side of the older boy suddenly started to back up. "W-what do we do, now..?" One asked, but the middle boy just lowered his trembling head… then, hit the ground.
"WHERE WERE YOU!?"
Sonic lost his smile, "Hmm…" he stood at a heroic angle to the boy… not fully facing him just yet.
"Where were you when I needed you, huh!? When those robots took my mother away… when my father lay in the mud motionless..!" He then rose up, charging to Sonic. "THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS HEROES!"
Before he could throw a punch, Sonic jumped up and flipped over him, kicking him in the back of the head.
He fell and skid by Rosy's feet.
Sonic landed, turning around and looking like he was going to finish this fight… the boy barely able to move when Rosy put a compassionate hand on his head lightly, and leaned over him to hold up a merciful other hand to stop Sonic from advancing. "Stop!" she declared.
Sonic paused, blinking his eyes at her command. "H-huh..?" He then folded his arms, "Wasn't he bullying you just a moment ago? Calling you a liar, Amy?"
Everyone muttered to themselves, they hadn't heard her real name in a while… But If Sonic knew it, it must mean they're friends!
"H… He knew her real name..!" the other boy on the right was panicking, realizing that this guy could really beat them up! "Let's bounce!"
"Neither of you two move." Sonic looked over his shoulder, "Amy hasn't finisned telling you our story yet." his stare was one not to be trifled with… and they immedately fell to their knees in obidence, shaking at his presence.
He turned his attention back to Rosy, unparting his arms and gesturing one towards her while he spoke, "What gives? Aren't you mad at him? Scared, even?"
"He's just sad… is all." Rosy's words made Sonic's head lean back.
Before this time, Sonic had been all justice. He'd never hold back his punches or swings at robots… but Amy… was reminding him that this was a person, and not some stonecold, unfeeling machine.
"… Hmm." He closed his eyes, "Well… I can't do anything about that… but he better start finding another way to deal with his sorrows… before his anger gets the better of him."
The older boy peeked up an eye at Rosy above him, "W… Why would… you spare me like this?" he asked. "I… I hurt you… and called you names."
She smiled sweetly, looking down at him and rubbing his head with strokes of forgiveness, "Are you okay? You look a little frazzled… Don't worry, we'll get you some help. Just rest, okay?"
His eyes widened.
Sonic's smile grew and he tilted his head, admiring his friend's true strength… the strength… of her heart.
He put a hand to his hip, "That's my friend, Amy, for ya." he looked to the younger kids, and then grinned, "She's unpredictable… and full of trouble, isn't she?" He beamed a reassuring grin and the kids all cheered and ran to him.
"Wha-ha-hey!" he looked as though he was 'drowning' in the crowd and zipped quickly up to the rock she was once on, and with his hands on his hips and leaning down to them, looked like he was scolding them a bit. "Now, now, how is this the proper way to treat somebody? AHH!" he was swarmed again and they dogpiled him down from the rock, all clammering to get an autograph or play with the famous, heroic boy.
The older boy got up and rubbed his head, looking ashamed, "I'm sorry, Wit-I-I mean-!… Rosy… Sorry." He looked down and she smiled, patting his head.
"There, there! At least now you know there are heroes in this world, right?" She gave him a smile before frowning… tearing up… and then a huge hug. "I'm sorry about your family… But-!" she looked up at him, filling him with hope in her sparkling emerald eyes, "Sonic's gonna take on that mean, old Eggman that hurt our families! He's gonna make sure he goes away and never comes back! No one's gonna be robotizied anymore!"
He did believe in heroes now…
He believed in her.
"Thank you." he stated, as Sonic kept trying to push off the kids, "H-hey! Amy! Ahh! Call off the hounds-OFFPH!" he was shoved under the crowd and continued to be loved and admired on,… such was the life of a hero…
He crawled under the crowd and then sighed, feeling at last free, before zipping up to Amy at lightning speeds, taking her wrist, "Come on, this scene blows." he smiled, showing her he just wanted to take her away.
She nodded, blushing, "Em!" she agreed, and he pulled her up to him–bridal style.
"Later, kiddos!" he winked his infamous, signature look to the crowd of kids.
"Aww, don't leave yet!" the little girl from before put her hands together, "What about Miss Rosy's stories?"
"I'll bring her back." He assured her, smiling from ear to ear. "And when she is back, she'll tell you guys all sorts of new adventure stories!" he lifted his head up and the kids all cheered.
"Yeeahhh!"
The other two boys remained on their hands and knees, "Is he gone yet?" One trembling stated…
"N-Not yet…" The other boy whispered, the two too afraid to move until Sonic had sped off with Amy Rose safely, tightly in his arms…
And off they went! To a whole new adventure..! It seemed like forever before Amy returned to the Orphanage, told her fantastical stories about a god of Destruction, a space colony abanonded by time, and many more with Sonic lazily yawning and sleeping by the side of her rock she could now sit on… and tell the newcomers and older kids their epic stories…
