One Monday, a few months after Howard's visit to Cambridge, Raj got a message from his wife mid afternoon. After work they met at their favourite Indian restaurant.

"Sit down Raj, I have some news." They sat down at their usual table and Samina took hold of her husband's hands.

"Raj, I am pregnant! I felt rather strange when I woke up this morning so I bought a pregnancy test from the pharmacist when I got into the city centre. They confirmed the result of the test at the doctors surgery this afternoon."

Raj sat there with a stunned look on his face, he tried to speak but all that came out of his mouth were some high pitched squeaks!

"Come on Raj, this is not a time for selective mutism."

Raj took a deep breath, drank some water and finally spoke.

"Wow, fantastic news. How many months are you into the pregnancy?"

"According to the doctors surgery I am two months gone, seven more to go."

Then Sunil the waiter appeared

"Hello Samina and Raj, how are you today?"

"I am pregnant Sunil, I just found out today!"

"Congratulations, shall I bring your usual?"

Raj said "please do that Sunil."

5 minutes later Sunil brought the Naan bread which Samina immediately started to eat, Raj hardly got any of it. In between bites of Naan bread Samina was talking non-stop about what was going to happen. Raj sat there and held his wife's hand as she did it. When Sunil brought their usual curry and rice Raj enjoyed his food but Samina hardly ate any of it.

Sunil came along later "So how is the food? Is there a problem Samina, you have hardly touched your food, is there anything wrong?"

"No Sunil, the food is as great as ever, you know how we pregnant ladies can get with our eating habits."

"Ah yes, when my Anita was pregnant she didn't eat any rice for months."

Raj said "can we have the bill please Sunil, it has been quite a day. I think we need to get home."

"No problem."

30 minutes later they were back home in Grantchester.

Samina said "OK lets tell relatives, first we will do a video chat with your parents, can you order us a Pizza Raj, I fancy some Italian food tonight."

5 minutes later Dr. Koothrappali appeared on the screen

"What is this Rajesh, it is 1.00am in the morning. When is the baby due Samina?"

Raj said "How did you guess."

"You don't normally call in the middle of the night unless the news is very urgent or important. When I saw Samina I knew why you called, after all these years I know what a pregnant woman looks like. Tell me everything Samina and give me the name of your doctor in Cambridge. Do you want me to come out and help with delivery…."
