Chapter 8: The Maiden of Nature

(Intro)

Agura was taking a nap in her bedroom after lunch with the team in Zeke's Diner. Just then, she started having a dream.

[Dream]

Agura found herself in a huge green field filled with flowers. "Wow! I've never seen so many flowers in such a huge field." She said in awe. Just then, she heard a melody being played on a harp. "Harp music? Where's it coming from?" She asked in wonder. She followed the melody as it led her to a small hill with a large tree. She walked towards the hill and up to the tree. Once she reached the tree, she saw a young, beautiful woman with long bright green hair and a green battle suit with beautiful flowers for decorations playing her harp as she sat on one of the tree's large roots. The woman didn't seem to notice Agura while she played her harp. Agura watched her for a moment before she started slowly walking toward her, trying not to alert her. "There's no need to be so alert, Agura." The woman said. Agura was caught off guard by this. The woman stopped playing and looked over at Agura with a smile. Agura was shocked to see that this woman's face is identical to hers. "Your time is coming." The woman said. Before Agura could ask, everything went dark.

[Dream End]

Agura woke up with a gasp. "Whoa. That was some dream. But that woman. She looked exactly like me. I wonder if she's my past life, Zodiac Virgo." She said. She looked over at her clock and saw it was 5 PM. "Huh. Evening will be in one hour. Maybe I should talk to Sage." She said, deciding to get up and go talk to Sage.

Meanwhile, Sage was in the deployment station, typing on her holo-computer, doing research, when Agura walked in. "Sage?" She called as she walked up to the Blue Sentient, getting her attention. "Agura. What is it?" Sage asked. "I was wondering if I could ask you about my past life, Zodiac Virgo." Agura said. "Why, of course. What would you like to know?" Sage asked. "Well, I'd like to know what her special talents were and what'd she do before she died." Agura said. "Well, I'd like to start by saying that Virgo was the most beautiful being in the entire Multiverse. She had the power to control nature and crystals. She was also known as the mistress to all animals, whether from Earth or anywhere in the Multiverse. Hence, why she's sometimes known as the Maiden of Nature." Sage explained. Agura was amazed to hear all this. She never knew her past life was so…amazing. Just then, before Agura could ask another question, Sage's eyes started to glow. "I sense a Stormshock opening." She said. "We better wake up the team." Agura said. Sage nodded, went over to her holo-computer and activated the P.A. "Attention, team. Stormshock opening. Prepare for deployment." She said.

The team jolted awake and entered the deployment station. They entered their vehicles and deployed out of the Hub. They drove out to the Salt Flats and approached the Stormshock. "Get ready, team. It's storm riding time." Vert said through his com-link. The team entered the Stormshock and drove right towards the opening of the portal.

As the portal opened, the team entered the Battle Zone that was based of a wild jungle. "Whoa. Look at this place." Talia said. "The soilage of this Zone must have quite an effect to make all of this grow so wild." Sherman said. "Okay, guys, let's find that key and lock down this zone." Vert said. The team started driving into the jungle. "I analyzed the Battle Zone and I found the location of the Battle Key. But there's something else with it and I don't know what it is." Sherman said. "Whatever it is, my guess that it's probably guarding the Battle Key." Olivia said. "A guardian? We never went up against one of those before." Stanford said. "Let's hope that it's the only thing we have to deal with." Vert said. Little did they know, as they continued down the pathway, they didn't notice a Sark Sentry hovering above the thick trees and spying on them.

As the team continued on the pathway to find the Battle Key, Agura was still thinking about what Sage told her about her past life as Virgo. How she was able to control crystals and nature, and being the mistress to all known animals. "Agura, you okay? You seem very quiet." Stanford asked through the com-link, snapping Agura out of her thoughts. "Oh. Yeah, Stanford. I'm fine. I was just thinking about something." Agura said. "What were you thinking about, Agura?" He asked. Agura was about to say, but Sherman cut her off through the com-link. "We're getting close to the Battle Key's location." Sherman said. When they reached the location, they saw that they were in a huge field filled with large plants. "Whoa! The gardeners in this Battle Zone must have great fertilizer." Rayona said. "I got the Battle Key in sight. It's on the top of that huge flower." Zoom said, pointing towards a giant flower in the middle of the field. The Battle Key was floating over it. "Alright. Let's grab that key and get out of here." Vert said. "Uh, Vert? I think we have a problem." Stanford said, pointing to something. The team looked over and saw the Sark coming their way with Zemerik leading his army. "Oh great. Figures the bolt heads would show up." Spinner said.

"ZURK! Bring me the Battle Key!" Zemerik ordered. Zug and the Zurk drove into the field towards the giant flower. "They're going for the key!" Olivia exclaimed. "Battle Force 10, don't let the Sark get the key!" Vert exclaimed. The team drove into the field to intercept the Sark. "Organics. Get them!" Zemerik ordered. Several Zurk pulled away and drove towards the team. "Gain way, boys! I'm about to cut in!" Ivan exclaimed as he activated the Dune Cat's chainsaws and bashed and cut through the Zurk. Stanford was being tailed by 2 more Zurk. "Oh, I hate it when they follow me." He said. He activated his rear cannon as the Zurk got close enough and blasted them. Talia came into contact with Zug. "Zug will crush puny organic!" Zug exclaimed as he fired up his Zendrill. "You wanna trade paint with me, Zug? Let's trade paint." Talia said as she activated her spiked pom-poms. They drove towards each other like they were about to play chicken. But Talia psyched Zug out and swatted the Zendrill with her left spiked pom-pom, sending him crashing into one of the big weeds.

Suddenly, one of the giant plants began to move, revealing itself to be a giant Man-Eating Plant! It gave off a loud roar, catching everyone off guard. "Uh, Vert? I think I see what else Sherman was detecting other than the Battle Key." Ivan said as the rest of the plants came to life and revealed themselves to be Man-Eating Plants! The plants begin to attack everyone with their big jaws, trying to bite into them and eat them. "Battle Force 10, evasive action!" Vert exclaimed. The team drove to evade the plants' mouths. As the Sark drove to evade the plants as well, some of the Zurk were unfortunate as the plants scooped them up into their mouths and ate them. "Sherman, Spinner, ready your ramps for Zoom!" Vert called. "Copy that, Vert." Sherman said as he activated the Buster's ramps. "Zoom, get that key!" Vert ordered. "Big air!" Zoom exclaimed as he drove up the ramp, activated his gliders and glided towards the giant flower and the Battle Key. He snagged the Battle Key, landed back on the ground and drove off as the Man-Eating Plants tried to bite him. "Vert! I got the key!" He called into the com-link. But suddenly, Zemerik came out of nowhere, rammed into the Chopper and snagged the key. "No. I have the key! Sark! Make for the Earth portal!" He ordered. The Sark regrouped with him and headed towards the portal to Earth. Unfortunately, Vert, Olivia, Agura, Stanford and Horace appeared and attempted to stop them from invading Earth. "Just try and stop me, organics." Zemerik dared.

Both teams drove towards each other while avoiding the Man-Eating Plants. But suddenly, Agura got swatted by a vine belonging to one of the Man-Eating Plants. She crashed into a big tree. The impact was so strong, she was knocked out cold. "Agura!" Stanford cried out in worry as he saw this before he got drilled by Zug. As the team struggled against the Sark and the Man-Eating Plants, an unconscious Agura started having another dream.

[Dream]

Agura found herself in the same field she was in from her dream. "Why am I here?" She asked. "You are here to accept your destiny." A voice said from behind her. Agura turned around to see the mysterious woman from her dream. "Are…Are you really Zodiac Virgo? And what do you mean accept my destiny?" Agura asked. "Yes. I am Zodiac Virgo. And your destiny is to accept your role as the new Zodiac Virgo. You must embrace the power and awaken it deep within your heart." Virgo explained. Agura was then shown a vision of the past.

[Vision]

Virgo fought against the forces of evil with her animal companions. Birds and beasts alike. Slashing, pouncing, mauling, ramming and carrying them away.

[Vision End]

As the vision ended, Agura remembered everything as the symbol of Virgo appeared on her forehead, glowing bright green as her past life awakens inside of her.

[Dream End]

Meanwhile, the team wasn't having any luck against the Sark and the Man-Eating Plants. Olivia and Horace were getting bashed left and right by the Zurk. Stanford was avoiding Zug and the Man-Eating Plants. Vert was fighting against Zemerik, trying to push each other back. "Face it, organic. Even with your Zodiac powers, you will never have the power to save the entire Multiverse." Zemerik said. Suddenly, one of the Man-Eating Plants grabbed Zemerik with its vines and tossed him into a tree. The team looked on in shock as the plants did the same to Zug and the Zurks. "They aren't attacking us anymore." Horace said. "But what changed their minds?" Olivia asked. "I'm thinking it was her." Vert said, pointing to someone standing on one of the plants. Stanford looked on happily as he saw who it was. It was Agura! And the symbol of Virgo was glowing bright green on her forehead. "No. It cannot be!" Zemerik exclaimed with disbelief and worry. "Get the Battle Key!" Agura ordered. The Man-Eating Plants snatched the Battle Key from Zemerik and began tossing it to each other. Just then, before Zemerik could say anything, the plant Agura was standing on grabbed him with its vine and brought him up to face her. "First rule of fighting against nature. Don't." Agura said. The plant threw Zemerik away, sending him off into the distance.

The other plants returned the key to the team, giving it to Stanford. "Nice Man-Eating Plant." He said nervously as he took the key. The Man-Eating Plant gave him a playful lick as Agura was brought back down to the ground. "Nice work, Agura." Vert said. "Thanks, Vert. Now let's go home and lock down this zone." Agura said. The Man-Eating Plant groaned as it nudged her. "Aw. Don't worry, boys. I'll come visit you as often as I can." Agura said as she petted the plant, who purred in response.

Later, the team returned to Earth and locked down the Battle Zone. After returning to the Hub, the team gathered around Agura and started praising her new powers. "Agura, that was so awesome what you did." Spinner said. "Yeah. Controlling those Man-Eating Plants was so cool." Rayona said. "Even I must admit. That was one of the best things even I've ever seen." Horace said. "Thanks, guys. I had an encounter with my past life, Virgo. She's the one who helped me unlock my powers and embrace my destiny." Agura said. "Agura is correct. She, along with Vert, Olivia and Zoom have embraced their destinies as Zodiac Guardians. And in time, I am certain that each of you will embrace your destinies as well." Sage said. "She's right. You all have the power. You just have to awaken it when the time comes." TRINA said.

Later, when Agura returned to her room, she received a surprise. There was a harp on her bed. Exactly like the one Virgo was playing in her dream. Brushing off her wonders of how it got there, she sat on her bed, picked up the harp and started playing the same song Virgo was playing. The song was heard by everyone throughout the entire Hub. Vert, Olivia and their slugs were fixing the Saber together in the garage when they heard it. Zoom was doing archery practice with his aura bow when he heard it. Talia and Rayona were cooking in the kitchen when they heard it. Sherman, Spinner and Ivan were in the Battle Key Room when they heard it. Horace was in his room, playing a video game when he heard it. Stanford was in his room when he heard it. Sage and TRINA were in the deployment station when they heard it. After she finishes the song, she looked at the harp with a smile. "I guess things are going to be interesting from now on." She said.

Well, how about that? Agura awakens her Zodiac powers and past life as Zodiac Virgo, the Maiden of Nature. And with her new powers to control nature, Battle Force 10 once again defeat the Sark and lock down another Battle Zone. But what other powers does she have? Will the rest of the team awaken their past lives as Zodiac Guardians soon? Leave a review if you'd like.
