Following Fluttershy's directions, Sonic walked down the hall looking for the Principal's office. With a look to the left, he found a small space with a door into the office itself in the middle, a pair of chairs on the right side, and a space with a bookshelf and a desk with a computer for presumingly a staff member to work.

Sonic snapped his fingers pointing at the door in front of him and approached it, "This must be the place."

Inside the office, Sonic's knocking could be heard and a female voice responded, "Come in."

Sonic opened the door into the office and walked inside. The first thing he saw was a woman sitting at a desk in the middle of the room working on her computer. The woman had bright pink skin with mauve purple eyes. Her hair's colour was in the mixture of chartreuse green, teal blue and taffy pink. She wore a golden-yellow overcoat with a sun badge on the left collar over a violet purple dress shirt. Along with this were violet purple pants, magenta purple bracelets on her wrists, and golden shoes for her footwear.

The woman slightly shifted herself to the left in her chair to get her full attention to Sonic. She let out a friendly smile to him as she held out her hand towards a chair in front of her desk, "Hello there. You must be another new student. Welcome to Canterlot High School. I'm Principal Celestia. Please, have a seat."

Sonic walked towards the chair and sat down in it, holding his hand out to Celestia for a handshake, "Nice to meet you, Principal Celestia. I'm Sonic."

Celestia smiled as she happily accepted the handshake, "A pleasure to meet you too, Sonic. I assume you have been transferred to Canterlot High and are here for an orientation?"

Sonic wasn't quite sure how to respond to the question; he didn't exactly come here to be a new student, he just happened to end up here by mistake. After a moment of silence, Celestia only let out a chuckle, "Oh, my apologies. Perhaps I should ask, are you here for a visit out of interest in transferring here?"

This time Sonic was able to come up with a response; he nodded to Celestia's question, "Yeah, that's pretty much it. I hope you don't mind if I were to visit here for at least a few days? Just to, uh, get to know the place and some of the students here?"

Celestia smiled with a nod, "Oh, you don't have to worry. I always like to make sure that my students know Canterlot High is not just a school, but a special, safe place for people to go and learn. And while you're here, I would like to ask if you're aware of the Fall Formal?"

"Fall Formal?" Sonic asked, his finger on his chin in thought, "Mmm, nope. Never heard of that."

Celestia stood up from her desk, approaching a calendar on the wall with a marker in her hand. She marked a specific day of the week as she explained to Sonic, "The Fall Formal is Canterlot High's big dance for this season. During this event, students select one of their peers to represent them as their Princess. She receives her crown at the Fall Formal."

The mention of 'the crown' caused Sonic to remember something, when Sunset was picking on Fluttershy; she mentioned something about 'ruling' and this Fall Formal could have something to do with it, "Okay…"

Sonic then noticed something that caught his eye; on the other side of Celestia's desk was a golden tiara crown with a light purple star-shaped crystal on it. This was probably the crown for the Fall Formal princess.

Upon seeing this crown, Sonic couldn't help but feel something was off; he could sense a tiny yet noticeable wave of energy coming from the crown. Furthermore, the crystal on the crown seemed to have a tiny glow coming out of it, "Huh, that's odd. The energy I'm feeling, it feels so… pure and positive. But… it doesn't feel like energy from a Chaos Emerald. Still, this thing's gotta relate to why I ended up outside the school of all places, right?"

Sonic asked as he pointed at the crown, "And I'm guessing this is the crown for the princess?"

Celestia sat back down in her desk as she responded, "Yes, it is. And my reason for mentioning the Fall Formal to you is because if you happen to be visiting for at least the week, I thought you would like to join my students. It could be a good chance for you to make some friends. If you wish, you can ask the head of the planning committee about it later."

Sonic gave a thumbs-up in response, "Sounds good."

"Is there anything else you would like to ask?" Celestia asked.

Sonic just shrugged, "Uh, nope. That's pretty much it."

Celestia gave a smile, "Well, if you do need anything else, my door is always open."

Sonic smiled back to her as he stood from his seat and turned to exit her office, until Celestia called out, "Oh, Sonic, just one other thing…"

Sonic stood and turned to face Celestia again. Celestia held her hands on her desk as she responded with an expression of concern, "I should warn you that there are a few students here who are a little… insensitive. So please, do what you can to avoid them. It's been a bit difficult to try and help them learn better."

Sonic gave a nod in response, "Yeah, don't worry. I'm pretty aware of that already."

Celestia's smile came back out as she gave a little wave to Sonic, "Very good. Have a nice visit at Canterlot High, Sonic."

Sonic exited Celestia's office and closed the door. After he did, he put his finger on his chin and thought about the crown, "Huh, if that crown in there is holding some kind of energy, then it must mean Sunset's after it. But what could she even want with that?"

A thought Sonic was going to have to figure out later, as he could hear the school bell go off. The clock on the wall aimed at 12:45; lunchtime. Classroom doors opened with students exiting and heading to their lockers to grab their items before walking in the same direction; probably heading towards the cafeteria. Though something that seemed a little off was that there were different groups of students with specific personalities or styles; musicians, fashionistas, athletes, eco kids, etc.

Sonic couldn't help but ponder at this, seeing the students in specific groups that weren't interacting with others. He had his finger on his chin, thinking about how and why this happened to be; it didn't quite seem exactly how Celestia described how she wanted her students to view the school, though he felt that what was in front of him wasn't her fault. Something else had to be the cause of this.

However, Sonic didn't get a chance to think about this further as he felt a tap on the shoulder. Turning around, he found himself face to face with three guys; all looking at him with expressions of possible hostility and distrust, but also interest. They all wore T-shirts with a sleeveless jacket, a spike collar around their necks, a pair of jeans and running shoes. Two of them were slightly taller than him while the third one was shorter by about a foot or two.

The three guys all stared at Sonic, arms crossed with their eyes locked onto him. Sonic glanced at the guys, raising an eyebrow for their random appearance and approach towards him out of nowhere. Sonic placed his fists against his hips as he addressed them, "Afternoon, fellas. Something I can help you with?"

The guy in the red sleeveless jacket approached Sonic and tapped his finger against the Mobian's shoulder with a bit of force, "I think that's something we should be asking you, pal."

Unphased, Sonic just responded, "Okay? Whatcha got against me?"

The red jacket guy answered, again tapping Sonic's shoulder with force, "We heard that some new guy at CHS just so happened to stand face-to-face with Sunset Shimmer. Only people who'd have guts to do that would have to be real tough. Like us. And you just so happen to be that kind of person."

The red jacket guy continued to push against Sonic's shoulder with his finger. Now a little annoyed, Sonic pushed the guy's hand away from him, "Yeah, so? All I did was simply stand up for a friend against a bully. What's in it for you guys? Who are you rock band wannabes even s'posed to be anyway?"

The other guy who was slightly taller than the one in the red jacket, answered with aggression in his voice, "You're looking at the Diamond Dogs, mate. I'm Fido, the guy who talked to you first is Rover…"

The little guy responded, finishing Fido's sentence, "And my name's Spot. Nice scar, by the way."

Spot happened to easily notice the scar over Sonic's eye. Rover added while pointing his finger at Sonic a bit close to his face, "We came to see you. We thought we'd ask if you'd have an interest in joining our group. My brothers and I have been looking for a new pal to join us, to show the world what we're capable of. Whaddaya say, Blue, ya want in?"

Rover held his hand out for a handshake, a smile on his face that said 'you know you want to', but Sonic arched his eyebrow at him, looking quite uninterested overall in the offer. He casually pushed Rover's hand away from him, "Nah. Sorry, fellas, count me out. Don't think I'm the right guy for your little band of thugs."

Sonic's words caused Fido's eyes to open wide, his teeth gritting in response to what he viewed as major disrespect. He grabbed the human-hedgehog by the jacket and pulled him close, putting his face a few inches away from Sonic's, "What did you say?! Was that disrespect I just heard from your mouth?! You better learn to watch your tongue!"

Sonic shifted his head away from Fido, an expression of disgust on his face, "Whugh, someone needs to take a mint. And a healthy combo of flossing and brushing your teeth sure would help to get rid of that nasty breath."

Fido's angry snarl only worsened in response to this, "Okay, pal. You're about to regret that and wish you accepted the offer."

Fido raised his hand behind him, the clenched fist tightening and shaking with the desire to punch Sonic's lights out. But before he could even get the chance to throw it, Sonic quickly looked past the Diamond Dogs and showed an expression of fear, "O-Oh! Principal Celestia!"

Rover, Fido and Spot all gasped as they turned around in fear. Rover quickly started talking, "Oh, Principal, we're weren't doing anything! We were just horsing around and… and…"

The Diamond Dogs' expressions went flat as they discovered that Celestia wasn't even there at all. Sonic tricked them, which only seemed to make them all look even angrier. They all started to turn back around towards Sonic again with Spot chuckling, "Hoho-kay, buddy, now you're about to–"

To their surprise, Sonic was out of sight. Their eyes were wide open with their mouths open and their arms dropped; one second they looked away from their target and the next second, said target, gone. Rover clenched his fist tightly at this, "Wherever you went, you can't hide from us!"

Shortly, Sonic managed to arrive at the cafeteria. Opening the doors, he could see all the students at different tables, each in the same kind of groups he saw earlier. All had their lunches along with their essential school and personal items; phones, instruments, computers, just about anything. A bit weird, indeed, but something that Sonic decided to just brush off his shoulder.

The sound of a grumble could be heard from Sonic's stomach; he apparently hadn't eaten in quite a while. He held his stomach as he thought to himself, "Oh, man, come to think of it, last time I ate was right before I went off to take down Eggman. Hopefully, they've got some good food here to eat."

Sonic was able to see the serving line just to his right and there wasn't really anyone else at the moment. Walking in, he grabbed a tray and started choosing his lunch. He chose two hotdogs each in a bun, a pack of french fries, an apple, a glass of water and a bag of chips. And along the way, he found some hot bowls each with different sauces and toppings to add and the one that caught his eye was the boiling, hot chili. Which made him smile. Grabbing the spoon, he managed to pour some on top of his hotdogs.

As Sonic walked out of the serving line with his lunch, he had a smile on his face, hardly waiting to dig in and eat. However he came to realize that he didn't know where to sit. There wasn't anyone else he knew here and he couldn't just go and sit wherever he chose. Maybe he could, but he didn't feel that'd be friendly.

Sonic walked forward, trying to see if he could find any available tables around. Luck didn't seem to be on his side as he couldn't find any empty spaces, at least not until he heard a familiar voice behind him, "Oh, hey, Sonic."

Sonic turned around to see it was Fluttershy who was sitting at a table with another girl. This girl had lavender purple skin and violet purple eyes. Her long hair with bangs was dark berry blue with two highlights; one violet purple and the other magenta pink. She wore an arctic blue and orchid purple plaid button up shirt with a magenta bow tie around her neck as neckwear and a dark violet purple panel skirt with the image of a pinkish purple starburst with small white stars. Her footwear were black dress boots with a lavender purple tongue and black laces. She also had a lilac blue backpack on her back with the same starburst logo.

Sonic gave a smile to his new friend, "Oh, hey, Fluttershy. Just passing through, looking for a table to sit. Don't let me bother you."

Fluttershy only let out a chuckle as she held out her hand over an empty chair right next to her, "Oh, it's alright, I was actually wondering if you were going to come by. Please, come sit down."

Seeing there were a few empty chairs at her table and nobody else was around other than this other girl, Sonic just casually shrugged and turned to come to the table, taking a seat in the chair next to Fluttershy, "Sure, why not. Thanks. Didn't think I'd get offered to sit at anyone's table on my first day."

Fluttershy smiled, "Oh, this is just to repay you for how nice you were when Sunset Shimmer was picking on me again. Besides, why would I want a friend to be left alone without knowing his way around?"

Sonic scratched his head with a smile, "Heh, thanks."

The other girl across the table spoke, "You must be Sonic. Fluttershy's told me about how you had her back when Sunset was picking on her again recently."

Sonic gave a friendly salute to the girl, "Yeah, and there was no way I was just going to stand there and do nothin'. Helping someone you don't even know can make a difference."

Fluttershy held her hand out to the other girl as she explained, "This is Twilight Sparkle. She's the one I told you about before who got Sunset away from me earlier this morning."

"Ah, so you're Twilight," Sonic said to the girl, "Well, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only person who decided to help out a friend."

Twilight smiled at Sonic, "Me too. It's nice to meet you."

Sonic nodded in response to her before turning to Fluttershy, "Hey, Fluttershy, I know that we've just met, but I was actually hoping to ask you for a little help on something."

Fluttershy answered with a smile, "Of course."

Sonic explained his quick conversation with Celestia earlier after having some of his fries, "Principal Celestia told me about this dance thing that's happening in a couple of days, the Fall Formal. She said that I could take part in it so that I could meet other people and maybe even make other friends there. So I was wondering, do you know where the head of the planning committee would be? Cuz they could give me some better idea of what it'll be like."

"Actually, that's what I was going to tell Twilight," Fluttershy answered, "She's going to be in the gym, she does all the decorating and organizing herself."

"Really? By herself, huh?" Sonic asked, an impressed whistle following afterwards, "That's impressive. Never really knew anyone who could do that."

Fluttershy turned to Twilight with a sudden expression of worry, "Twilight, are you sure you want to do this? I'd be worried about what Sunset would want to do to you for it."

Twilight nodded in response with a fist in the air, "Absolutely."

Sonic arched an eyebrow at this as he happened to be eating a chili dog, "Do what? What's going on?"

As Sonic ate his first chili dog, Twilight answered with a confident smile, "I'm going to run against Sunset Shimmer for Princess of the Fall Formal."

"Really?" Sonic asked, "A new student challenging a bully? That's one way to show what kind of a person you are."

Fluttershy flicked her hair a little bit, the concern was clear in her voice, "Oh, I'm still not sure if it's going to work."

Sonic turned to Fluttershy, confused at this statement, "Why? Hasn't Sunset ever had any other rivals? Look at Twilight here, she's committing to this."

Fluttershy shook her head at this response, "Oh, I don't think you understand. Sunset Shimmer wants to be Princess of the Fall Formal, and when she wants something, she gets it. And she'll do anything to get it, even make life awful for anyone who stands in her way. Just ask the girl who ran against her for Princess of the Spring Fling. The only way Twilight's going to have a chance is if she can convince everyone to vote for her instead of Sunset."

Thinking about this for a moment while drinking his water, Sonic took another look around at all the groups in the cafeteria, remembering their different items and essentials. He asked, turning back to Fluttershy, "Uhh, this might not really make sense, but… does Sunset have anything to do with all the students being in these… groups? The students in them are all chit-chatting with each other, but not with anyone outside of their table."

Fluttershy answered after eating a piece of her fruit salad, "It was probably different at your old school like Twilight's, but at CHS, everyone sticks to their own kind. One thing they do have in common is that they know Sunset Shimmer is going to rule this school until we graduate."

Before either Sonic or Twilight could get a chance to say anything else, there was the sudden sound of the cafeteria doors slamming opening and an angry voice loudly shouting, "WHERE IS HE?!"

Every student in the Cafeteria was quiet as they all turned their attention to where the voice came from, and whoever was at the door made Sonic's expression go flat as he knew who it was; the Diamond Dogs, "Not these guys again…"

The presence of the Diamond Dogs made everyone stand still frozen, especially Twilight and Fluttershy. Rover angrily asked out loud as he aggressively stomped his way through with Fido and Spot following behind him, "Where's the blue guy?! I know he's here! You kids better not be hiding him from us!"

Sonic sighed in annoyance, "Ugh, I was really hoping I could avoid seeing those guys a second time today."

Fluttershy was surprised to hear this, "You know the Diamond Dogs, Sonic?"

"Unfortunately," Sonic answered, "These guys tried to recruit me into their group and I said no. Guess they wanna beat me up now."

Spot continued jumping from table to table, looking around for Sonic, "Come out, blue boy! Or these puny students are gonna get it!"

Fido pounded his fists loudly making the students closest to him shift away in fright, not wanting to get in a fight. Rover snarled loudly, "Stop hiding and come on out, you runt!"

Knowing that this could escalate in a bad direction, Sonic stood up from his seat, grabbing his other chili dog in the process. He called out to the Diamond Dogs, one hand against his hip and the other spinning the chili dog in circles, "You guys looking for me?"

All eyes were focused on Sonic, the Diamond Dogs especially. Sonic slowly walked forward into the middle lane of the cafeteria, spinning the chili dog in circles in his hand. Sonic gave a snarky smirk towards the three spike-collared guys, "I dunno what makes you guys the way you are, but I'll tell ya this; you have some serious attitude problems."

Rover snarled as he, Fido and Spot all started walking towards him, all gripping their fists tightly and gritting teeth, "Don't you get all snarky with us, blue boy! You shoulda accepted the offer to join our group, but now we're gonna make sure you regret makin' us mad!"

Sonic just casually shrugged as he rolled his eyes in response, still spinning his chili dog in his hand, "Doubt it."

All of the other students watched and waited for what was going to happen. Twilight and Fluttershy were both looking worried for Sonic's safety. Rover cracked his knuckles with an aggressive growl, Fido pounded his fists repeatedly hard and Spot rubbed his hands excitedly. All three of them were ready to give Sonic a good beating.

Sonic tossed his chili dog up before catching it and then quickly putting it into his mouth, easily biting and fitting it all in before swallowing it. He then licked little bits of chili off of his thumb and finger before licking the side of his lip to get any tiny bits off. The students around looked surprised at how Sonic managed to eat his chili dog within seconds; some of which felt a little bit disgusted and others were just flat confused as to how he could do that. A few students decided to grab their phones and started recording the situation, deeply intrigued to see the escalation. Who was going to win; a fight between one new student and three brutes? The fascination couldn't vanish from the sight.

As soon as the Diamond Dogs stopped just a few feet in front of Sonic, Fido aggressively asked, the hostility clear in his voice and the desire to attack noticeable in his eyes, "Ready to take the beating of a lifetime, outsider?"

Rover stood in front of Sonic while Fido got on his left side and Spot got on his right, the three Diamond Dogs all standing around him like a narrow triangle, leaving him with barely any room to get out. The athletes were looking excited for action while other groups like the drama students or rockers were looking unsure of what they were witnessing.

However, the sense of excitement and danger was halted as a stern voice spoke out of nowhere, "What is going on in here?"

Sonic, the Diamond Dogs, and everyone in the cafeteria turned their heads to see where the voice came from. It was a woman with light blue skin, cobalt blue hair with a lighter highlight, and aqua-blue eyes with lilac purple eyeshadow. She wore a lilac purple fleece with a white collar which had the logo of a denim blue moon on the left side, denim blue pants with a white belt around her waist, and white shoes with violet purple tongues for her footwear.

The woman sternly spoke towards the Diamond Dogs, her voice clearly filled with distrust towards them, "Rover, Fido, Spot. You leave the new student alone and come with me into my office."

The Diamond Dogs, however, seemed unphased as Rover aggressively squinted his eyes towards Sonic while responding with his teeth gritted, "No can do, Vice-Principal Luna. We need to teach this idiot some manners."

Everyone was silent; a student just brushed off the vice-principal of a school. One… bad… move. All the other students were now starting to get a sense of fright shivering down their spines. Fluttershy shuttered in fear as she whispered to Twilight, "I really hope Sonic makes it out okay."

Twilight nodded in response to this; she had to agree. Rover, Fido and Spot all stared down Sonic, inhaling and exhaling like aggressive, snarling stray dogs. Usually, Sonic would act snarky and confident to his enemies, but due to recent events, especially with what happened on Mobius, he wasn't in the mood for his usual carefree attitude.

Sonic sternly looked Rover in the face as he spoke, "Okay, look, guys. I'm sorry for what I did back there in the hall. But I'm not interested in joining your little group, I've actually had a pretty messed-up twenty-four hours, and I'm seriously not in the mood to have some stupid fight with you grumpy goombas right now. So you three back off right now and I don't introduce my foot to your face. Deal?"

Unfortunately, Sonic's offer only seemed to anger the Diamond Dogs further. All three of them stretched their necks out with a few cracks, and their growling intensified, "You're dead."

Rover raised his fist, and slammed it on a nearby table. In the process, someone's radio player was knocked over and somehow turned on, playing a familiar song.

(Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk)

Sonic glanced down at the radio player, recognizing the song. Questions how this existed in this dimension aside, he saw that the only way he would be getting out of this was through them. And since they only looked more brawn than brain, he was going to have fun with this. He gave a smirk as he simply crossed his arms, "Don't say I didn't warn you."

Rover snarled as he thrust his fist forward, throwing a jab. But right before the blow could even land, Sonic suddenly vanished from sight. The Diamonds Dogs' eyes went open wide in surprise, "What the– where'd he go?!"

Following the sound of a taunting whistle, the three greedy guys turned to see Sonic just a few feet away from them. Everyone in the cafeteria was surprised and in wonder at how Sonic managed to do that. Then, without thinking, Fido started running at him with a raised fist and an aggressive growl, right in sync with the singer in the song making a shouting sound. As soon as he reached him and the first lyrics sang, he started throwing jabs and uppercuts at Sonic with speed and force. Yet every attack he threw just ended up missing as Sonic was quicker; he casually dodged every attack with his hands behind his back and his eyes closed.

Fido then tried throwing another uppercut at Sonic with effort, but the Mobian just jumped backwards and landed on his hands on the floor. He was quick to kick right back onto his feet with no effort, all while going right over Fido who tried jumping at him and ended up hitting the floor and sliding across before he hit and a chair and the seat fell right onto his head. Sonic showed a cocky smirk at Fido before he glanced behind him through the corner of his eye to see Spot running at him. He leaped into the air and lunged at Sonic, but his target was quicker as Sonic just shifted to the side and Spot ended up face planting on the floor with a painful yelp.

Sonic let out a cocky smile as he ducked his head to dodge a punch from behind him by Rover and side-stepped with a spin. The Dog tried throwing a hook at him, only for the speedy Mobian to duck down again and shoulder roll around him. Standing up, he swiftly moved his head left to right, dodging the angry Rover's punches with ease, much to the angry Dog's annoyance. He then quickly glanced behind him to see Fido charging towards him with a raised fist. Noticing that Rover was about to throw another jab at him as well, he tilted his head to the left, and the punch moved past by just a few inches, ending up in both Rover and Fido accidentally hitting each other in the nose instead.

Both Rover and Fido let out a shout of pain covering their faces with their hands, "OW! Watch it!"

Rover then lunged forward without opening his eyes and just ended up colliding with Fido. Both of which fell onto the floor with a thud and a grunt. Sonic and the students in the background chuckled at their clumsiness. Then an angry snarl was then heard from the Mobian's left. Sonic turned slightly to see Spot running at him again with his hands out. Looking forward and seeing one of the two pillars in the middle of the cafeteria to support the ceiling, Sonic, without using his super speed, ran forward towards it with Spot following him close behind. The moment he reached the pillar, Sonic placed his foot on it and jumped off with a back flip right over Spot's head as the little Diamond Dog ran right into the pillar face first. Again.

The students all started laughing at how Sonic was taking on the Diamond Dogs, making them beat each other up. Almost everyone was recording the show on their phones, wanting to post this on the Internet. When Sonic landed on the floor, he quickly twisted his body to do a cartwheel dodging a double hammerfist from Fido. With a quick jump, he was up in the air with another backflip, going over Rover who slid across the floor trying to grab his legs and ended up colliding with Fido's legs instead, causing him to fall onto his buddy.

Sonic cartwheeled into performing back handsprings before he jumped in the air with a pair of backflips as he reached the very middle of the cafeteria, between two tables at the pillars. As soon as he reached it and right in time with the music, he began to breakdance, performing flares effortlessly. As the Dogs got up, they watched Sonic just dancing without a sign of fear on his face and the students in the tables surrounding him were complimenting the blue boy while laughing at them. Sonic then did some quick poses while taunting the dogs and quoting a lyric from the song in sync with it, "Don't believe me, just watch!"

Fido snarled as he started charging at Sonic again, "I swear to God I'm gonna get ya if it's the last thing I do!"

Sonic just smirked with an arched eyebrow as he shrugged, "Yeah, whatever."

Fido rushed up to Sonic and jumped in the air, attempting to body slam on top of him. All Sonic did was just casually roll away, resulting in the Dog face planting on the floor with a loud shout of pain. The Mobian then rolled into a handspring and lept onto his feet, just in time to see Rover coming at him with his hands open like claws while Spot was following by running across a row of tables, knocking over students' food in the process. Quickly yet slightly, Sonic shifted to the side and extended his leg out. Rover didn't see this coming and tripped right over Sonic's foot, falling to the floor and face planting just like his buddies did before. As Spot was running at him across the tables, the Mobian picked up an apple core by the stem and tossed it across. As soon as it came right in his path, Spot stepped right on top of it and started sliding across uncontrollably, "WHAAAAA!"

As Spot slid across, his foot reached the end of the table and he ended up falling forwards. Sonic simply stepped to the side with his fists on his hips and the Dog flew right past him. As Fido was sitting up and scratching his head, he took a sudden blow to the head from Spot flying right into him from behind and knocking him back down on the floor face first.

The students all continued to laugh at the Dogs' failed attempts to even catch Sonic as they still recorded the whole scene. Some even started chanting the Mobian's name in sync with the music. Rover snarled as he stood back up and turned to face Sonic, growling with his teeth gritted. He then glanced around to see everyone was laughing and pointing at him, mocking him and his buddies for how their clumsiness kept getting the better of them. His anger only built up faster as his face started turning red with steam hissing out of his ears.

Rover reached forward and tried to grab Sonic, but the speedy Mobian just shifted to the right, cartwheeling over the end of a chair and sitting on the table with one leg over his knee. The dog then raised his fists and tried to hit with a double hammerfist, only for the Mobian to once again dodge the attack by simply rolling backwards off the table and onto the other side. In the process of hitting the table, Rover knocked a bowl of hot mushroom soup in the air. As Fido and Spot were getting up, Fido immediately shoved Spot away from him, "Get off me!"

Within seconds, the same bowl of soup Rover knocked over ended up landing on top of Fido's head. Upside down with the soup itself pouring all over his head and jacket. Immediately, he shouted in immense pain from the heat and started blindly running wildly around the cafeteria, leaving a trail of dust behind his feet and wailing his arms out, "AIIIIEEEEEEEEEE! IT BUUURRRNNNSSS!"

Rover and Spot climbed across the table and prepared to attack Sonic once more. The Mobian simply stood confidently, casually sitting against the table behind him. As the two Dogs prepared to lunge at him, Sonic simply smirked as he pointed to his right with his thumb. Rover and Spot looked over to see the blind Fido running towards them, still wailing from the burning soup and the bowl on his head. As Sonic cartwheeled to the side, they both panicked and screamed in fear right before they collided with Fido and the three dogs all fell onto the floor once more. The Mobian began performing back handsprings away from them.

The Dogs all got up with Fido finally taking the bowl off his head and they all started running after the Mobian. Sonic did his back handsprings until he came to a sudden stop and jumped up with a b-twist in the air, spinning quickly before landing on the table that happened to have the rocker students. The rockers were already quick enough to move away from Sonic landing on top of it. Following his landing, he started doing a windmill spinning around just to further taunt the Diamond Dogs. Speaking of, the Dogs all suddenly stopped themselves when they saw Sonic breakdancing on the table. All they could do at this point was watch their target taunting them and humiliating them further. All the other students watched with "oohh's" and "aahh's" at Sonic's dancing.

Spot just stared at Sonic, looking quite flabbergasted at what he was seeing, "This guy's just too quick! How's he so fast?!"

Rover, however, just snarled in annoyance, "Quit dancin' around and fight us like a man!"

Sonic's windmill swiftly changed into a handstand while balancing on one hand with the other in the air and both legs making a perfect split, causing the Diamond Dogs and students' mouths to drop in surprise. If anything, any athletic students at CHS couldn't do this so easily before, if they could even do it at all. Before long, the silence was quickly broken when the same guy with the blue hair from before gave a clap to Sonic, "Yo! Awesome, dude!"

Sonic gave a chuckle in response while holding his hand to the guy for a high five, "Name's Sonic."

Fido growled as he reached out behind him, grabbing an empty tray from a table. The guy accepted Sonic's high five with a smile, "Flash Sentry."

Sonic snapped his fingers at Flash with a grin while clicking his tongue, "Nice name."

Flash gave Sonic a thumbs-up in response, before he turned his head towards the Diamond Dogs and suddenly yelped in surprise while ducking his head, "Whoa, look out!"

Sonic looked in the direction of the Diamond Dogs and quickly reacted to a tray flying right at him. He swiftly dropped from his hand and landed on his feet while catching the tray with ease. He then saw the Diamond Dogs all grabbing students' trays and starting to throw them at him. Some of the food and drinks went flying off the trays with the dishes hitting the floor and breaking from the impact.

Sonic swiftly b-twisted off the table and landed on the floor with his feet. Using the tray he caught as a shield, he blocked the other ones flying at him. The students all started ducking their heads and hiding under the tables, not wanting to get hit.

The Diamond Dogs continued to throw trays at Sonic, all huffing and puffing from each throw, showing clear signs that they were getting tired. Sonic continued to block the incoming trays with his own. Having had enough of this, Rover snarled as he ordered to his brothers, teeth gritting tightly, "No more playin' around, punk! Let's see you stop three at once!"

Rover, Fido and Spot held a tray behind them, and then threw all three of them at once. They spun in circles at high speeds towards Sonic. Sonic, however, wasn't afraid. He swiftly turned three-sixty degrees and whacked all three trays upward with his own, making them all spin and fly up into the air. He then dropped his tray before side-rolling onto another table, did a single breakdance flare, jumped up in the air and did a swift roundhouse kick, knocking the three trays back towards the Diamond Dogs.

Rover, Fido and Spot were unfortunately not as fast as Sonic, as the three trays hit them all right in the face at the very same time with a loud WHACK! All three of the Diamond Dogs were left standing stunned with a red nose and disoriented expressions. And right after Sonic landed on the table on one foot and knee, all three Dogs bent backwards and fell onto the floor unconscious with a thud.

Following the Diamond Dog's defeat, all of the students suddenly came out from their hiding spots and started cheering for Sonic's victory over the bullies. The guy athletes all chanted his name in a rhythm while the girl athletes hopped up and down clapping and whooing, the fashionistas and eco kids all took photos with their phones, the rocks raised their hands in the air letting out a cheer of praise, etc. The apparent owner of the radio player, DJ musician Vinyl Scratch, turned the player off the moment the fight ended.

Sonic stepped down from the table and brushed his hands whipping off small clouds of dust. A small groan of pain could be heard from Rover as the Diamond Dog held his face where he was hit. When he shifted his hand to see, he saw Sonic looking down at him with a cocky smile while wiggling his finger at them. He snarled as he, Fido and Spot all started to stand up slowly, struggling as they had to pull themselves up using chairs and the legs of tables.

The three Diamond Dogs all looked at Sonic with angry expressions, gripping their fists and gritting their teeth with snorts of hate from their nostrils. Sonic just stood where he was with his arms crossed and an arched eyebrow, "Ready to call it quits now, guys?"

Rover's head shaked with his face turning red, steam hissing out of him. He raised his fist in the air as he opened his mouth ready to say something, only for… "Enough!"

The voice that shouted caused everyone in the cafeteria to go silent; Rover stood there with his expression suddenly turned to wide open eyes of fear. The Diamond Dogs all slowly turned around to see that the voice came from none other than Principal Celestia.

Every student in the cafeteria didn't speak at the sight of the principal's presence. Celestia crossed her arms, sternly glaring at the Diamond Dogs. Fido started yelling out excuses to try and avoid getting in trouble, "Principal Celestia! The new guy here just beat us up! We were just tryin' to–"

Fido was silenced when Celestia spoke out loudly, the anger clear in her voice, "Save it, Fido. I saw everything, including you three attempting to attack Sonic. And while I disagree with what Sonic had just done, I'm more than confident that it was an act of self-defense."

Knowing that he definitely went against what he was told by the principal, Sonic held his arm in embarrassment, "I'm sorry, Principal Celestia. I know I should've done better than what I did. If you don't think I'm a fit for coming here, I totally…"

Sonic was quiet when Celestia simply raised her hand, letting him know that he didn't need to say anything. She gave him a smile in response, "Oh, Sonic, I know you tried your best not to get physical, and I appreciate your honesty. You're more than welcome to be an official Canterlot Wondercolt if you're ever interested in transferring."

Sonic gave a small smile in response. Celestia smiled back at him, before her eyes focused on the Diamond Dogs and her angry expression returned to her face, "As for you three…"

The Diamond Dogs all stood frozen in fear with a gulp in their throats, sweat dripped down the side of their heads. Celestia pointed at the three finishing her sentence, "For attacking a visitor to Canterlot High, ignoring a vice-principal's orders and deliberately leaving a mess in the cafeteria, starting tomorrow, you three will all have detention and work as janitors for one… whole… month."

That was one, big punishment that caused the Diamond Dogs' mouths to all drop straight to the floor, and the response from all of the students was a savage jeer, "Ooooooh!"

Rover's teeth gritted as his eyes locked on Sonic, his fist vibrating from how tight he gripped it out of wanting to punch Sonic so hard; not only was he refused and beaten, but now he was humiliated in front of the entire school. Sonic smirked as he gave the Diamond Dogs a cocky "bye-bye" with his hand. This only made Rover's face turn really red at this with steam hissing out of his head, but knowing how much trouble he was already in, all he could do was say, "I hate you!"

All Sonic did in response was just casually shrug as he watched the Diamond Dogs walk away with the principals. With all that's been going on today at this place, Sonic couldn't help but smile; he was actually starting to like this place, though the question remained; how long was he going to be here? And how was he going to get home? Speaking of which...

On Mobius, reporters, both human and Mobian on television were all asking the same question, "Sonic and the heroes of Mobius went head-to-head with Dr. Eggman, and the battle went down with a blast! But both Sonic and Dr. Eggman are nowhere to be found! Did they perish? Did they survive? Where are Sonic and Eggman?!"

Before anything else could be said from any reporter, the screen was suddenly turned off. Cream was watching the news on Tails' Miles Electric, but Amy had just turned it off so that she didn't have to watch anymore; she seemed to be too engaged in the news. Amy put her hand on Cream's shoulder with reassurance, "We'll find a way to get him back."

Cream didn't say anything, all she did was nod in response. The group, along with GUN agents, were on Angel Island. They had already managed to bring the Master Emerald back after the battle and restored it to the island. With Knuckles' permission, GUN brought as much as of what remained of Eggman's dimensional teleporter to see if they could replicate the same dimensional rift to locate Sonic.

At the top of the ruined temple, Knuckles sat on top of the Master Emerald watching everyone do their work on studying the teleporter and its design. He saw Amy and Cream sitting at the top of the stairs with Cheese, watching on the Miles Electric. Shadow stood on one side of the temple looking out into the distance, his finger on his chin in thought. Silver and Blaze were on the other side talking privately about the situation. Tails and Rouge were talking with the Commander at the bottom of the stairs next to the dimensional teleporter. Everyone in the area was unable to come up with a clear answer to the only question in their minds; how could they get Sonic back?
