Please Feel at Ease Mr. Ling What if ...
I do not own the story Please feel at Ease Mr. Ling. I am only writing for entertainment purposes. This is truly fiction.
Beware of Spoilers for at least episode 7-8.
Although I love this story and Ling Yue I have thought too much about if I would forgive him or at least so easily. What if Anxin found out about his secret earlier on? How would it change the dynamic?
This is my what if story...
Please Feel At Ease Mr. Ling Chapter 7
Anxin can't help but jump from surprise at herself and her position kissing the man who broke her trust. She breaks away from Ling Yue feeling so embarrassed her face feels hot as a flame and her heart is pounding so fast. What is she doing? As she pulls away she notices he strokes her hand absently as if to say I'm here. Don't think this is done. "Anxin.." He says a big smile coming on his face. "What just happened..." he says teasingly. "No no!" Anxin cries. She rushes away pushing past him. Ling Yue still looks slightly dazed and she escapes easily. "We are not discussing that. It was a mistake." She reaches for the container and pushes his food inside angrily. "That was no mistake." he says his steps confident yet slow. He goes to try and corner her again but Anxin stops him quickly. "I think it is time for you to go, Mr. Ling." Anxin chides herself for the distancing language, he catches it with raised eyebrows but allows himself to be rushed towards the door anyway.
"One question first." He sticks his hands in his pockets. She sighs and nods. "Go ahead." Anxin replies warily. "Did you enjoy the other food I sent you?" He asks casually. "What made you think I ate it?" She asks quickly. "I noticed the food I sent was gone and the containers are there." Ling Yue points to the corner where they have been washed and shoved into a corner where she didn't have to think about them and it had worked, she had forgotten they were there. Anxin turns bright red and says "You think too highly of yourself." She then opens the door, harshly shoves him outside and hands him his food. " Good night Ling Yue. I will send you money in the future..." Anxin then slams the door and locks it. Later that night after putting away dishes she notices he left his watch by the sink. She wonders if it is an accident but knowing Ling Yue it isn't. He probably is planning to come back here using the watch as an excuse.
Anxin plans on sending it through the courier with the rest of her plan. She wishes she could do it in person but decides after tonight she can't do it. She debated for a while if she even should but she has to know. She wrestles between her heart and her head. Her or the shares. Her or the shares. That night she chews over the contract and finally comes up with this:
"I, Gu Anxin will pledge to back Mr. Ling Yue as President of his fathers company with my 5% of shares . In exchange Ling Yue will cancel the debt between them in the previous contract. Also Mr. Ling Yue will cease from contacting Gu Anxin further in person, mail or online. The only exception would be mandatory board meetings and focus on strictly business. If either party breaks the agreement then the contract would be void." She wondered if he would behave himself. She had no idea how often these groups met. Surely it couldn't be more than every two months or so right? They had other important business things to do. Anxin decided she should ask her brother the next time she spoke to him, but she couldn't wait any longer.
Before she can second guess it she puts it in an envelope with his watch he left behind. She will send it when she gets to work. Before that she does what she couldn't forget and has been dreading: paying rent. Anxin can't help but regret slightly the money she had given Ling Yue which he didn't need. Even the harsh reminder that he was only her creditor hadn't stopped him and had even seemed to encourage him. She had only a little money left and payday was a while away. She would make it work though. Anxin always did. Her landlady looked almost disappointed and Anxin chided herself. She couldn't get so late again. Her landlady really did seem as if she would find new tenants even with the higher price and leave Anxin without her home she had worked so hard for.
Anxin has an ordinary day at work. She had a moment of indecision about whether sending this to his work was really the best idea, but it was the only option she had as she didn't know Ling Yue's home address and didn't wish too. She wasn't sure of specifics but was confident in the skills of the courier she had chosen. She was in no way taking this one herself. She pointedly ignored a text from Ling Yue asking how she slept. Really one measly kiss and he seemed to think... but she decided she must focus her thoughts elsewhere.
Anxin loses herself in her work only during a few slow periods does she allow her mind to wander and she cautiously checks her phone. So far nothing. Maybe he hadn't received it yet. He did say he had a lot of catchup to do. Perhaps he had seen it and was debating about it. Anxin didn't know which outcome she hoped for. It would be easier if he simply left her alone. He was complicated and had lied to her and...then she sees it. She is stepping out of work when she sees the text from Ling Yue. "We need to talk." Anxin bites her lip and fumbles with her bag a moment. She ignores the text and makes a call to Youyou instead beginning the walk home. She would grab some things and stay with Youyou.. If she hurried she bet she could make it before Ling Yue got off work. Hopefully he was as busy as he claimed. It was only past 5 now. It had been past 6 when she had first seen him waiting outside her house yesterday.
"Youyou... can I stay with you for a bit? I will explain when I come..." Youyou being Youyou tried to press for details right away " Is Ling Yue still bothering you? Have you tried my plan yet?" Youyou asked quickly. " He is. Ling Yue waited by my house and barged in claiming some nonsense about borrower appreciation day. He is impossible and it doesn't seem he is going to give up easily so I sent over the agreement today. He saw it and wants to talk but I am worried for what he will say and need a break." Anxin confided. "It has all been so much so fast." "Of course you can stay my friend. We can make a plan for either way and maybe he will just send his decision over the phone instead of you having to see him in person." Youyou suggested hopefully. "Maybe... I will pack a few things and be there soon. You're the best Youyou." Anxin replied ending warmly. Anxin couldn't see her friend but she could just tell that she was beaming.
As Anxin walked partly she thought a bit about what he had said about her art. Perhaps it was from Youyou talking about making a plan. She did want to continue to be independent either way.. Could she do work with her art? Anxin decided to think about it. She was fine working many hours now but she wasn't sure she wanted to plan on running deliveries forever. Anxin was in good health but she didn't want to put all her eggs in one basket of being able to run around making deliveries. What if she had another accident like Ling Yue had... She moved on. She would be in trouble and she didn't want to burden other people. Anyways it was other skills and what she loved to do. She liked baby steps. Anxin loved her art and really did want to do more. If it went well maybe she could cut back on her hours. She could try contests and maybe work in as a substitute and hopefully get something more substantial. She didn't want to give Ling Yue credit as it was what she had partially studied and loved. If it also could help her pay off Ling Yue if he refused her agreement...all the better.
Anxin was so engrossed in her thoughts she didn't see the shadow behind her following her.
