Although I love this story and Ling Yue I have thought too much about if I would forgive him or at least so easily. What if Anxin found out about his secret earlier on? How would it change the dynamic?

Please Feel At Ease Mr. Ling Chapter 14
Anxin took a moment to take in his words. "When I wrote that contract it was after you had barged in my home. From what happened with my family I had to know if you were spurred on to like me about knowing about the shares or acting the whole time. I didn't think I could take it if I were wrong. Also I had to figure out my feelings." she paused again after having to shush Ling Yue who had tried to break in the middle of what she was saying." I honestly didn't want you wearing me down so I was trying for distance." She admitted shyly. He smiled looking smug a second. "So my charm isn't wasted on you?" He pressed hopefully. She smiled and shook her head. "You are relentless." Anxin paused to take a deep breath and forged on. " But I think you were right. Before I wasn't sure. I have been seeing who you are in Eightie. I wish you had told me earlier. Especially about my role and looking into my family without telling me." Ling Yue looked very guilty his eyes downcast as she said this part.
"I still insist on paying you back understand but I see more of your side. You did have a lot going on. I have made decisions I wish I could undo. I know things can be complicated. I just couldn't take more insincerity from people but now I believe you are telling the truth Also I want to put out there this change of heart is not just because you saved me though of course I appreciate it, it's you. You are still the one who worries and fusses over me. To push me to want better for myself but also to remember to take breaks and not to work too hard. Who has helped me feel less anxious in the dark. I do want to take it slow, so consider it a trial to try again with you. No more secrets no more hidden agendas though." She added warningly. "Also know Youyou's wrath will not be so easy to escape if you play anymore tricks. Or mine."
Ling Yue looked shyly optimistic. "Anxin I can promise you no more secrets or tricks." Ling Yue said as he held out on his thumb for a stamp which she pressed her tiny thumb to his long one. "Anxin I am happy you are forgiving me …but how do you want to start? " He asked anxious as if he didn't want to scare her away . Anxin thought a minute. "Let's start by I will keep you updated on my job search and you can tell me about these shares and hopefully I can retire one day. " She smiled and he laughed. And that's what they did. He kissed her cheek as he left.
Over the next week she started introducing him to some of her favorite hole in the wall restaurants on the weekend. When Ling Yue had a hard day with the company and board members stuck in long meetings unable to make a decision that even had made his father testy she'd taken him to her favorite place for shrimp which he had enjoyed.. After he noticed Anxin seems anxious walking the streets at night ,he had him and Ai Li help teach her some basic self defense. She had felt awkward trying to get the movements right. It helped that Ling Yue and Ai Li demonstrated first. Ai Li was clearly the superior fighter. Ling Yue saw her jaw drop and smiled. "Ai Li has been working at this for years and for a long time it was her job. Don't compare yourself to her." He reminded gently before continuing after a sip of water. " Just do the best you can. Remember it is also important to show confidence to others and being aware of your surroundings.. This is about getting some skills to have in your arsenal should the time come to use them which hopefully you won't. Hopefully I will be with you." He grinned at her which made her turn pink slightly. "Unless you want to start a new style of art fighting instead of delivering." He teased which helped relax her. She still didn't plan to go looking for trouble but it was reassuring she had a bit of a plan in case anyone tried to hurt her again.
This helped placate Youyou who had been silent at first when Anxin told him she was giving Ling Yue a second chance. Anxin arranged a coffee meeting to help her friend understand. "Don't screw up again and hurt my friend" she had warned him sternly. "I don't plan on it." He reassured her and smiled at Anxin. They had talked of future plans and Ling Yue was interested to know what technology trends Youyou would like to see. Youyou had been curious afterwards what the relationship was but Anxin had to admit she didn't have a label for it other then dating. He didn't kiss her but hugged her when he saw her or left. They saw another movie and he held her hand which was nice. He had been close to kissing her she felt afterwards but he had again only kissed her cheek. He was teasing and a little flirty but mainly they were just themselves.
She was just beginning to wonder if she should say anything as it seemed he was waiting on her when he beat her to it. He was celebrating with Anxin as she had gotten a new job at a small start up company to draw for them. She had thanked Ling Yue profusely for his help but he reminded her she deserved the credit. All he had done was help word her interest and experience to the jobs. He had brought a balloon and flowers which was very sweet. Anxin had been so excited talking about all she had to do to finish at her notice period to getting ready for her new job her smile infectious.
"Are you happy Anxin?" He questioned looking at her intently. She nodded. "Good." Ling Yue smiled before he cleared his throat looking nervous. "Are you happy with us?" She smiled and said. "Yes." "I really like you Anxin and I want to be with you. You make me less anxious and happy too. Have I passed the trial?" He paused a nervous smile on his face as he hopefully looked at her. " Will you be my girlfriend officially? I don't want anyone else trying to steal you away." Anxin thought a moment. " With how busy interviews work and you keep me how could anyone else have time to steal me away?" she asked laughter in her eyes but quickly added "Yes. I will be your girlfriend."
He was so happy he came and picked her up and swung her around and kissed her. His mouth was warm but not too harsh and she was happy to enjoy the bliss. It felt right, like home. Anxin was happy knowing it was just the beginning of their adventures together.
