Gorilla Clan Cave: Ka'an vs Beast-Warrior II
I recounted the events after Moonlight had suddenly taken off from the campsite we had established.
"I was sitting next to the fire, slowly stirring the pot so the food wouldn't burn. I was just about to get out a bowl and start eating when the beast-warriors suddenly stepped out of the trees," I began my tale.
"Human! You're coming with us!" One of them, the leader I surmised, said aloud.
"And what makes you think I would do that?" I asked flatly.
"You're on our world! You do what we say!" They demanded.
"Negative. I have it on good authority, that you are wrong," I plainly stated.
"You know nothing human!" It spat back, "now come quietly or we will be forced to make you!" It spoke as four of them activated the makeshift duel disks they were carrying simultaneously.
"I'd like to see you try," I countered as I activated my duel disk as well, "since it's four to one, I'm going between each of your turns," I demanded.
"You're dead human!" One of them countered, but none disagreed.
"Duel!" We all said together.
"I'm first, I draw!" I started. "I summon Cyber Valley in attack mode!"
A serpentine metal monster with red gems decorating its middle, formed on the field.
"Then I set one card facedown and end my turn," I finished.
"I draw!" Beast#1 started, "I summon Rhinotaurus in attack mode!"
A rhino-like monster, purple with spikes on its wrist, formed on the field.
"Then I set three cards facedown and end my turn," it finished.
"Huh, interesting. Beast-warriors, using beast-warriors. Ok, I draw!" I remarked, "I summon Thunder King Rai-Oh in attack mode!"
A blue monster with yellow bolts of electricity forming two conduits on either side, formed on the field.
"I think that will do for now. I end my turn," I finished.
"I draw!" Beast#2 started, "I summon Rampaging Rhynos in attack mode!"
A yellow rhino creature with blue armor and wielding a battle ax, formed on the field.
"Then I set three cards facedown, and finally I activate Card Trader. That ends my turn," It finished.
I whistled, "Well now, that's more like it. My turn! I draw!" I started, "I summon Engraver of the Mark in attack mode!"
A dual sword wielding monster with gray clothes, formed on the field.
"Then I activate Double Summon which allows me to summon again this turn. So I summon Bull Bladder in attack mode!"
A mechanical bull with large red horns and massive broadsword, formed on the field.
"Now I activate Engravers ability and target Rampaging Rhynos, now during the next end phase it will be destroyed!"
Engraver slammed forward, slashing across the chest of the rhino leaving a Z on its chest.
"That ends my turn," I finished.
"Tch!" Beast#2 grunted.
"My turn now! I draw!" Beast#3 started. "I summon Leotaur in attack mode!"
A lion's body, a human torso with a lion's mane covered in armor and wielding a sword, formed on the field.
"Then I set one card facedown and end my turn," It finished.
"And now my Engraver's ability comes to fruition and destroys your Rhynos!" I pointed out.
The Z flared bright and cracks formed across the monster's chest, resulting in an explosion.
"Ok, now it's my turn. I draw!" I started, "let's see where this goes. I activate the Monarchs Stormforth, allowing me to use any one of your monsters for a tribute summons this turn," I said.
"What good will taking just one of our monsters do you? You face four opponents!" The leader stated.
"Oh I'll show you. First I activate Engraver's ability and target Leotaur on your field. Next I sacrifice two monsters from my side of the field, Engraver and Bull Blader, then your Rhinotaurus will serve as the third and final sacrifice I need. Now rise up in attack mode and show your mighty powers, Obelisk the Tormentor!"
Dark storm clouds formed overhead with lightning flaring across the sky. Then the ground began to tremble with an unsettling earthquake. When suddenly a bolt of lightning slammed down with tremendous force, cratering the ground, then he stood. A mountain of a shadow with bright red glowing eyes and a presence that could squash any lesser being. His blue features finally showing through after the lightning slowly began to ebb away.
"No! No! No! How could you have gotten your god card already!?" Beast#2 screamed.
"Oh no! He's nearly emptied our fields of all our monsters!" Beast#3 added.
"What are we going to do now!?" Beast#1 queried.
"You're lucky I'm forbidden from attacking any of you this turn, or I'd wipe you all out right now!" I stated, "I end my turn. You have one more turn then the torment will commence!"
"We'll see, I draw!" Beast#4 started, "I set one monster in def mode, then set two cards facedown and end my turn," It finished.
"And now your Leotaur is destroyed due to my Engraver's ability!" I declared.
The Z glowed, forming cracks across the monster until it exploded.
"I draw! Now to unleash Obelisk!" I stated.
"No!" Beast#1 shouted, "I activate Threatening Roar, you can not declare an attack this turn!"
"Hm, very well. I summon Pandora's Jewelry Box in attack mode," I said.
A white jewelry box with gold trim, formed on the field.
"That ends my turn," I finished.
"I draw!" Beast#1 started, "Now to get rid of your Obelisk! I summon Rampaging Rhynos in attack mode! Next I activate Wild Nature's Release! This gives Rhynos attack equal to its defense raising him to 3000 attack!" It stated.
The monster's size ballooned to nearly double its original.
"Now battle! Rhynos attack his god card! And by declaring an attack, I can activate Ego boost, giving my monster an additional 1000 attack points, raising him to 4000, equal to your Obelisk!" It boasted.
The monster swelled more, reaching the same size as Obelisk.
"Well now, color me impressed," I said.
"Don't mock me! Now since my Rhynos is in the same column of attack as your Obelisk, he gains an additional 500 attack for just being there! Now he's even stronger than your Obelisk!"
The now two behemoths clashed, releasing enough energy to push everyone back, Obelisk was destroyed, dealing me -500 in damages. 7500lp
"Not bad, first blood," I stated, spitting out some blood for emphasis, "and you had even kept me from using him in battle as well," I gave small praise.
"I end my turn, and due to Wild Nature's Release, my Rhynos is destroyed," It finished.
"You should have just come quietly and saved yourself the headache!" Beast#3 stated.
I laughed, "Well that's a matter of opinion, isn't it. We've barely scratched the surface of this duel and you're already declaring victory? " I questioned, "plus you've already made your fourth mistake," I pointed out.
"Mistake? What mistakes?" Beast#4 asked incredulously.
"Your first was coming here, the second was dueling me, the third was letting me get Obelisk so easily, and now instead of thinking about my other cards, you spent your turn only going after him. So you failed to realize how I'm about to rock your world!" I explained, "my turn, I draw! Now due to the fact I have Pandora's face up on my field and no cards in my extra deck, I'm allowed to draw two cards during my draw phase instead of one!" I declared.
"What!?" Was their unison response.
"I'm not done yet! I activate Valleys ability and banish himself and Pandora's to allow me to draw two more cards!" I continued.
The gems on Valley glowed, engulfing both monsters sucking them into a void.
"Now I have what I need, I summon Mirage Dragon in attack mode!" I said.
A gold yellow monster with a sickle shaped tail, formed on the field.
"Now all your trap cards are useless during the battle phases!" I stated.
"Oh no!" Beast#1 declared.
"Battle! Thunder King Rai-Oh and Mirage Dragon attack his life points directly!" I commanded, pointing at the first opponent.
Rai-Oh charged a lightning bolt with its conduits and Mirage swooped in, teeth bared, slicing through the monster dealing -1600 in damages. 6400lp Then Rai-Oh unleashed the charged electricity in a single explosion dealing -1900 in damages. 4500lp
"Ah! You bastard! I'll kill you!" It threatened.
"Sticks and stones. Now I set one card facedown and end my turn," I finished.
"You'll pay for your insolence! I draw!" Beast#2 started, "I summon Cat Ear Tribe in attack mode."
Three small cats, blue, white and yellow, all wearing some form of gear, formed on the field.
"Then I set one card facedown and end my turn," It finished.
"Oh yeah, I'll pay," I mocked, "I draw, I activate Magical Mallet and return three cards back to my deck, reshuffle, and draw a new hand. Next I summon Vylon Prism in attack mode!"
A crystalline monster with white and gold armor formed on the field.
"Then I activate Moon Mirror Shield and equip it to Mirage. Now he'll always have 100 attack points over whatever monster he battles," I informed them.
A silver sheen formed across Mirage Dragons body with silver edgings.
"Battle! Rai-Oh, Mirage, and Vylon attack our opponent directly! And don't forget all your trap cards are useless!" I pointed out, pointing at the first beast.
Every monster moved in close and unleashed their might in a single attack dealing -5000 in total damages. 0lp
"Noooo!" The monster whaled as it was sent sailing back into the trees slamming down and cratering the ground breathing its last.
The rest of the beasts snorted their disgust, though I got the sense it wasn't at me.
"I end my turn," I finished.
"So be it. My turn, I draw!" Beast#3 started, "I summon Wolf Axwielder in attack mode!"
A man's body with a wolf's head, carrying a large ax, formed on the field.
"I'm going to interject!" Beast#2 said, "I activate the trap Fiendish Chain, and now your Mirage Dragon has no ability blocking our trap cards!" He gloated.
"Tch!" I grunted in annoyance.
"Battle! Axwielder attack his Vylon!" Beast#3 grunted out.
Axwielder slammed his ax down onto Vylon destroying it and dealing -150 in damages. 7350lp
"You just activated Vylons ability! Whenever he is destroyed, I can pay five hundred life points to equip him onto another monster, giving them an additional 1000 attack points, and I choose Thunder King Rai-Oh!" I countered.
A glow enveloped around Rai-Oh, with gold and white armor forming all over his body. -500 6900lp
"Fine. Whatever, you still can't beat us all. I end my turn," It finished.
"I draw," I started, "I activate Pot of Dichotomy, returning three monsters with different types, Spellcaster, Warrior and Divine, from my grave to my deck, reshuffle, and draw two new cards. Now in the process, I may lose my ability to attack any of you idiots this turn, but it will be well worth it in the end, and since I can't do anything else, I'll end my turn," I finished.
Some of the creatures in the back of the group began whispering things I only half heard. "...crazy human." "...he could have attacked." "..what's he trying to pull?"
"My turn! I draw!" Beast#4 started, "I flip face up my Gene-Warped Warwolf in attack mode!"
A large white creature with four arms and red claws, formed on the field.
"Then I summon Reborn Tengu in attack mode!"
A strange old man with wings and wearing a red robe, carrying a sword, formed on the field.
"Then I'll set one card facedown. Now battle! Gene-Warped Warwolf attack his Thunder King Rai-Oh!" It commanded, "and now I can activate Ego boost and give him 1000 additional attack points!"
The Warwolf slammed forward and punched Rai-Oh repeatedly, destroying him and dealing -100 in damages. 6750lp
"I end my turn," It finished.
"Very well, I draw," I started, "battle! Mirage attack Axwielder!"
Mirage shot fourth, slicing through Axwielder destroying him, dealing -100 in damages. 7900lp
"And that ends my turn," I finished.
"I draw!" Beast#2 started, "tch! I end my turn," it finished quickly.
"Weakling! I show you! I draw," Beast#3 started, "I summon Chiron the Mage in attack mode!"
A horse's body and man's torso, covered in steel armor and carrying a wizard's staff, formed on the field.
"Now I discard a spell card to destroy your Shield!" It declared.
Chiron lifted his staff and shot a beam at my spell, destroying it.
"Darn," I muttered.
"Now battle! Chiron attack Mirage!" It ordered.
Chiron charged forward and blasted Mirage with energy destroying it, dealing -200 in damages. 6550lp
"At the end of the battle phase, I activate my trap, Evenly Matched! Now you all have to banish your cards facedown until you have exactly the same number as me on your fields!" I countered, "and I have only one left!"
Each monster grumbled their disapproval but had no choice but to comply by removing their cards.
"I activate Legacy of Yata-Garasu to draw one new card!" Beast#4 countered.
A portal opened in the middle of the field, sucking up every card they had except one.
"I end my turn," it finished.
"Good. My turn. I draw," I started, "I set two cards facedown, then I activate Dragonoid Generator by paying 1000 life points. Now I'm allowed to special summon up to two tokens on my field in attack mode."
Two large metal eggs formed on the field. -1000 5550lp
"Of course you get two tokens as well," I said pointing at the last monster that just went.
"Now I end my turn," I finished.
Two more tokens formed on the opposing field.
"Humph! Making us lose our cards and that's your best response? You are weak. I draw!" Beast#4 started, "I summon Enraged Battle Ox in attack mode!"
A bull wearing red armor, with a look of sheer rage in its eyes, and carrying an ax, formed on the field.
"Now Battle! Battle Ox attack his token!" It commanded.
The Ox raced forward and slammed his ax down hard on the Token, splitting it in half destroying it, dealing -1400 in damages. 4150lp
"Gah!" I grunted as I was pushed back a little.
"Now Gene-Warped attack his other token!" It commanded.
The Warwolf reached out and grabbed the token, ripping it apart with its large arms, dealing -1700 in damages. 2450lp
"Grah!" I was pushed back hard by the intensity.
"I end my turn there, human! Give up now!" It finished as it taunted me.
"I'm..not..down..yet!" I struggled to straighten up. "I draw!" I started, "I activate Jar of Avarice, returning five cards from my grave to my deck, reshuffle, and draw one new card. Next I summon Rainbow Kuriboh in attack mode."
A small creature made of purple with a rainbow glow on its head, formed on the field.
"That creature can't even put a dent in us!" Beast#2 guffawed.
"Laugh all you want, but I'm going to win this, one way or another!" I declared, "I activate Dragonoid Generator and gain two more tokens on my field, and you gain some during the end phase. Now battle! Both tokens attack him directly!" I commanded.
The two small eggs hatched and small mechanical lizards crawled over and bit the beast, dealing -1600 in damages. 6400lp
"Ptoo! Was that supposed to hurt?" Beast#2 scoffed.
"No, but this might. I activate the quick play spell Arrivalrivals, this allows me to summon once again, right now!" I declared.
"What!?" Beast#2 queried.
"I tribute Kuriboh and the two tokens on my field to summon once again the mighty Obelisk the Tormentor in attack mode!"
"No! How'd you get him back out again!?" Beast#2 screamed.
"I returned him to my deck earlier, you'd know this if you would've paid attention. I said I returned a 'Divine' monster. Now he's back and extremely pissed off! Obelisk, attack him directly with Fist of Fury!" I commanded.
Obelisk raised his fist, glowing with unimaginable power and slammed it down onto the beast, dealing -4000 in damages. 2400lp
"Aaahh!!" It screamed as it was slammed back into a tree. Laying there twitching its limbs.
"Now, I set one card facedown then end my turn, oh and you get two tokens from my generator." I finished.
The beast lay there unmoving, but still breathing. Then Beast#3 stepped forward.
"Weakling. I go next. I draw," It started, completely ignoring his comrade. "I tribute Chiron to summon Manticore of Darkness in attack mode!"
A large black winged, golden maned lion with a red scorpion's tail, formed on the field.
"Now I get rid of weakling! Battle! Attack that token!" It commanded, pointing at his own comrades' field.
"What!?" I questioned as the attack was about to land.
"Now I activate Ego Boost and give Manticore 1000 additional attack points!"
Manticores maw filled with flames, which he unleashed on a much weaker token destroying it, dealing -3000 in damages. 0lp
The unconscious beast didn't even know what hit it as a wall of flame engulfed its entire body and it began flailing around from the pain, until it collapsed dead. I was dumb struck by what I saw.
"I end my turn," It finished flatly.
"Uh..wha..what..why? He was your ally! Why would you do something like that!?" I questioned.
"Weaklings do not deserve to live." Beast#3 stated flatly.
"I…, grr! Fine! Your world! Your rules! I can play that way too! I draw!" I started, "I set one monster in defense mode, and you forgot about the two tokens on your own field! Now battle! Obelisk attack his token with Fist of Fury!" I commanded.
Raising a hand filled with power, Obelisk slammed it down onto the token destroying it, dealing -3700 in damages. 4300lp
"Ahhh!" Beast#4 was pushed back stumbling, but refused to fall.
"Now I end my turn!" I finished.
"I draw." Beast#4 started, "I tribute the other token to set one monster in defense mode. Then turn all my remaining monsters to defense as well. That ends my turn," It finished.
"I draw!" I started, "Now battle! Obelisk attack his facedown monster with Fist of Fury!"
A power filled hand slammed down on the field and obliterated the facedown monster.
"And during my battle phase, I can special summon Juregado from my hand in attack mode!" I said.
A purple clawed monster formed on the field.
"Now attack his Ox!" I commanded.
Juragedo flew forward and slashed Ox to ribbons, destroying it.
"That will end my turn," I finished.
"My Manticore ability activates! I send a beast-warrior from my hand and special summon him back onto my field!" Beast#4 stated.
"My turn! I draw!" Beast#3 started, "I summon Reborn Tengu in attack mode. Battle! Manticore attack his Juragedo!" It commanded.
Manticore blew flames out and burnt Juragedo to cinders destroying it, dealing -600 in damages. 1850lp
"Now Tengu attack his facedown monster!" It commanded.
"You just attacked my Electromagnetic Turtle with higher points than yours!" I countered.
A turtle shell shield formed and blocked the attack dealing -100 in damages. 7800lp
"I end my turn," It finished.
"I draw," I started, "I activate my Generator and gain two tokens. Next I sacrifice two monsters, one token and Electromagnetic Turtle, to activate Obelisks' ability to destroy your entire field of monsters! Go, Fist of Fate!" I declared.
Obelisk raised both his fists and slammed them down together, obliterating all their monsters on the field.
"Now battle! Token attack him directly!" I commanded, Pointing at Beast#4.
The small mechanical lizard bit the beast, dealing -300 in damages. 4000lp
"I end my turn!" I finished.
"I activate my Manticore's ability to special summon it back onto my field!" Beast#4 said, "now I draw! I turn all monsters to defense mode then end my turn." It finished.
"I draw!" I started, "I turn my token to defense mode. Now because I have five monsters in my grave with different names and none are copies, I can special summon Orbital Hydralander in attack mode!"
A rocket blasted out from the card face, soaring high into the sky. High above the atmosphere, the rocket separated into several parts, then one disengaged and began to open up revealing eight serpentine heads.
"Then by sending three cards from the top of my deck to the grave, I can activate Hydralanders ability, he can destroy one card on your field all the way from space! Orbital Laser Barrage!" I declared.
An indicator on the satellite filled to full capacity, then each of the heads built energy in their maws. A camera zoomed in on the fields below, targeting the Manticore. Eight beams of energy shot down and converged onto the beast, destroying it.
"Now battle! Both of my monsters attack his two tokens!" I commanded.
Obelisk and Hydralander both charged and shot their energies out in unison, destroying them.
"I end my turn," I finished.
"I draw," Beast#3 started, "I turn my monsters to defense and set one card facedown, then end my turn," it finished.
"I draw!" I started, "Battle! Obelisk attack him directly with Fist of Fury!" I commanded pointing at the now emptied field of Beast#4.
Obelisk slammed a power filled fist down onto his target dealing -4000 in damages. 0lp
"Aaaaahhhhh!!" Beast#4 was smashed between Obelisk's fist and the ground, leaving only a crater.
"Now Hydralander attack his Tengu!" I commanded.
"I activate my Legacy of Yata-Garasu to draw one new card," it countered.
Hydralanders energy beams converged on Tengu, destroying it.
"Now when Tengu is lost, another takes its place," it stated.
A new monster formed in place of the first.
"Now I send three more cards to the grave, Hydralander destroy his Tengu! Orbital Laser Barrage!" I commanded.
More energy beams sliced through the second monster, destroying it.
"Again Tengu revives itself!" It countered.
"Yeah, but now you're out of summons, plus you're all alone. I end my turn," I finished.
"I send a beast-warrior to the grave and revive Manticore!" It said shakily. "Now I draw! I set one monster in defense mode then end my turn," it finished.
"I draw!" I started, "I activate my Generator and gain two more tokens. Now I activate Obelisk's ability, sacrificing the tokens and destroying your entire field! Fist of Fate!"
The blast was nearly enough to send the beast flying back, but it held on.
"Now battle! Hydralander attack him directly!" I commanded.
Energy beams shot down and slashed across the beast, dealing -3000 in damages. 4800lp
"I end my turn," I finished, "and you gained two tokens as well.
"I draw," It's voice quivered, "I...turn...the tokens to defense mode, then end my turn," it finished.
"I draw," I started, "I activate my Generator again, and get two more tokens. Next I will sacrifice three monsters, two tokens and Hydralander, this will allow me to summon Beast King Barbaros in attack mode!"
A black lion body, with a man's torso, armored mane, and a long red spear, formed on the field.
"And by summoning him with three sacrifices, he's allowed to destroy every card you have on the field!" I declared.
"You have the Beast King as well!?" It screamed in confusion as its field vanished, leaving it all alone.
"Yes! And now he's going to say hello! Battle! Obelisk, Barbaros, attack him directly and end this duel!" I commanded.
Both monsters lunged forward, a spinning spear thrust and powered fists slammed down onto the beast, dealing -7000 in damages. 0lp
"Nooooo!" It screamed as it was vaporized by the attacks leaving one massive crater.
I put my hands to my knees and breathed heavily, this duel had pushed me to a brink I hadn't felt since my training in the maze.
"No relaxing human! You still have opponents to face!" The Leader declared, stepping forth activating their duel disk and three more right behind it. The prior duel was still not considered finished since an opponent was still there to play.
"Oh come on! I just wasted four of your comrades. Give it up already." I tried to end it before it went any further. They didn't listen.
"Duel! Duel! Duel! Duel!" Was my only response as another four took their place and we're lining up again.
"Crap!" I said flatly. I had nothing left after that last round. I stood up as straight as I could, and they each summoned strong monsters. I barely remember drawing my next card as this is where my memory gets fuzzy.
"Then I woke up here with Moonlight trying to smother me with affection," I finished my tale.
"Hey! I wasn't trying to smother you!" Moonlight said, suddenly turning bright red, "I would never hurt Master," she muttered, lowering her wings and head a bit.
"Are you blushing?" Shelly asked.
Moonlight hid her face with her hands and wings as she blurted out, "n...no!"
Shelly and I laughed a little as Moonlight kept trying to hide her face from us.
"She like him," Bruthus suddenly stated flatly.
"How would you know?" Shelly stopped laughing enough to asked.
"I seen before. Many monsters here have loved 'umans before, and made small 'uman-monster hybrids too," he added.
Moonlight's blush deepened when she heard this, and her wings began to quiver a bit, "no. No. No. I wasn't thinking about having younglings with Master!" She suddenly blurted out.
That got Shelly's and my attention quickly.
"Say what now?" I asked.
"You two mate. Make small ones," Bruthus said bluntly pointing at Moonlight and myself.
"What!?" Was the unison response from myself and Shelly.
