Chapter 4
"How much do you really know about me?" Naruto asked after some silence bathed the room.
"What the rest of the public know and that some of the people believe that l am some associate of yours." Samui answered with a dull tone reverting back to her usual self.
"I see. Well atleast you know somethings. I will start at the beginning. An evil, sadistic man with an artificial, perverted version of my powers is rewriting reality. In the original timeline we meet in our late teens. You wanted to fix what's happening right now and I had just began this whole flash gig. Over the course of three years we worked together before an argument split us apart..." Naruto began his story before Samui interrupted.
"Split apart? As in together? Relationship?" Samui asked confused.
"No. Not like that. We were a team. Me, you, Gaara, Temari, Sakura, Ino and a few more. We did a lot of good together before the nations came up with a Justice Society Registration." Naruto answered continuing his tale before being interrupted once again by Samui.
"Justice Society? Who's bright idea was that? And how would I be caught alive working for a place called Justice Society? I think that is why we split..." Samui ranted a bit, smirking to herself a little at the Flashes sigh.
"It was Gaara's idea and he was the one telling all the reporters that we were called Justice Society. And no we didn't split up..." Naruto stated answering Samui's question before being cut off by Samui again.
"Really? To think..." Samui interjected.
"Could you please stop?" Naruto asked pleading with Samui.
"Alright, I'll let you off the hook. Please continue." Samui answered sarcastically while making a chair made from ice and dramatically slouching within the chair.
"We split up because of the Justice Society Registration. It is a law that was voted in by the world leaders to have us become an international organization, where said leaders would have say in how we operate as said organization. The main reason for the split was the division this law brought to us, even though it felt as if we were a family, we still split. Two sides; You believed that signing was wrong and I... was against that. I was wrong and I damaged the family that we were over some fake promises. I... Retaining old timeline memories seem exciting at first until you realize that sure you have an advantage, but you also inherit the loses, regrets, pain and all the bad that comes with life of freewill." Naruto finally finished feeling tired mentally after revisiting past failures of another timeline.
"Guess you were the leader and I was the respected one." Samui stated humming to herself.
"I was only a leader in name. You were the real leader and I was the heart of the team." Naruto replied thinking Samui asked a question.
"Were we... close?" Samui finally queried tilting her head in slight concentration as if trying to figure out the ins and outs of the story she just heard.
Before Naruto could answer, the lights began to flicker and the walls of the room trembled a bit. Seeing the room tremble, Naruto flashed away from the room with Samui before appearing at the market street. People were already retreating from the scene. Scanning the street quickly, Naruto saw a girl a little older than him, probably preteen in age. She was wearing a black body suit with a white star on her chest that connected to thick white shoulder pads. She also had white gloves and boots. A white helmet on her head covered everything besides the lower half of her face.
"There you are Flash. Are you ready to die?" the preteen asked sarcastically while making an energy construct manifest in her hands before attacking, not giving the Flash a chance to reply.
Both Samui, who was dawning a blue jumpsuit given to all captive experiments, as Kabuto would call them, and Naruto, who still dawned his red Flash suit, moved left and right respectively to dodge the attack. Glancing behind himself, he saw the attack vaporize the stand it made contact with. Eyes widening a little at the potential damage of the attack, Naruto resolved to dodge every attack while keeping an eye out for Samui. This caused him to quickly make himself a decoy and hope that Samui does the rest. All the analysis done within five seconds, Naruto moved closer at a slow speed to attract the attention of his attacker, who was already in motion to throw the attack with another energy sphere. Ducking under the energy sphere Naruto smiled when an ice beam blew the girl away from him. Quickly speeding after the flying girl, Naruto reached out to grab her only for her to flicker away with a burst of light. Eyes widening in fear for Samui, Naruto quickly changed direction towards Samui, who was still stopping her momentum after dodging the initial attack, and made a barrier of lightning to block an unseen attack which came a second after the barrier was formed.
'BOOOM'
Quickly clearing the smoke by rotating his arms and blowing it away, Naruto scanned for the aggressor only to find nothing.
Before he could relax, Samui gasped and when Naruto saw what was happening he grabbed Samui to help her dodge the oncoming energy beam. As he was running away from the energy beam, Naruto noticed that the beam was slowly gaining on him. Digging deeper within himself, Naruto drew more speed force energy and willed himself to increase his speed. Seeing that the attack stopped gaining on them, Naruto was about to turn left to dodge, only to flinch as the speed force opened up in front of him. Before Naruto could react he and Samui were gone within the speed force without Samui being any wiser.
Somewhere In Fire Country
Root ANBU Research Facility
Danzo entered the lab and went to find one of the scientists recording the data acquired by the tests being done to test the newly created Metahuman Root ANBU.
"How is the training coming along?" Danzo asked startling the scientist.
"L-lord Danzo! Umm... well things are going according to schedule. Soon the rest will also be ready for combat." the scientist stuttered first before composing himself.
"The rest?" Danzo inquired intrigued by the response from the scientist.
"Yes. Most are already in tune with their metahuman abilities to safely use in combat." the scientist answered proudly.
"Safe-ly?" Danzo pressed not liking the response.
"I mean efficiently, sir." Danzo just nodded before turning to leave.
"Atleast there is progress. I need battle strategies for the Flash on my desk by tomorrow. Understood." Danzo instructed before beginning his exit of the facility.
"Yes Lord Danzo. They will be there tomorrow."
Elem 79
Fire Country
Suddenly a portal opened up while Naruto and Sasuke were in an intense battle of beasts. The Nara was about to attack before two red and blue blurs passed right between two beasts. A fox with nine tails and a purple coloured warrior. Suddenly the fox disappeared and the warrior hesitantly disappeared in a shower of purple light.
"No, No, NO! NARUTO! Today is the day I reclaim Madara back! He belongs to the Uchiha!" Sasuke exclaimed anger colouring his speech.
"Sasuke! We need to first see what that was! We will battle another time." Naruto stated before he went in the direction of the blurs. Sasuke grumbled to himself before following Naruto.
Both of the boys raced as fast as they could to the crash site. What both boys found was a girl in a blue jumpsuit and a boy in a red spandex looking suit. Before either of them could question the pair, the boy in red took off his cowl and frowned at the lookalike before whispering something to Samui.
Samui saw the lookalike that Flash said was from another dimension from theirs. He was wearing blue boots that stopped mid leg, orange shorts and a black T-shirt with a red swirl in the middle. Red hair with black tips and bright purple eyes with three whisker marks on each cheek. The other boy had black boots on that looked like Naruto-79's, black shorts and a white T-shirt with a circular fan like crest on his chest that was divided into two, red on top and blue on the bottom. Bluish black hair and black eyes. Though what made Samui raise an eyebrow is the gadget on both of their left arms. Both were the length of the boys arms, white surface on the flat side of the semi-circle disk looking gadget and seemed to differ on the sides, with Sasuke's being royal blue and Naruto-79's being a burnt orange. The surfaces had multiple rectangular patterns engraved in a line, two big compartments at both ends with five smaller ones under the same number of engraved rectangular pattern.
Samui seemed to shrugge of the boys concerns before she addressed both of the boys across from them "Hey! Would you happen to know which universe we're in?"
"Which... Universe?" the Naruto of this dimension questioned Sasuke confused enough with the doppelganger and now they were adding on to it. Naruto thought they really were good at sticking to their fake act.
"Okay. I guess speedy Gonzalez is going to have to figure something out." Samui nonchalantly stated with a tilt of her head.
Sasuke who was heavily annoyed and quite so far, finally burst "An imposter. That is why you stopped our battle. Deadlast I swear on everything Uchiha that if this was your doing to get away from the battle, then I'll activate the shadow realm next time we battle."
The Naruto of this dimension sighed a tired sigh before speaking "Alright identify yourselves before we alert the authorities."
"Fine by me. I'm Killer Frost." Samui stated with a mischievous smirk on her face, unnerving both Sasuke and Naruto-79.
"Her name is Samui. I'm Naruto Namikaze of Elem-4." Naruto-4 stated shaking his head at Samui.
"Elem? 4? Are you saying that there is more than one elementary nations?" Naruto-79 asked sarcastically while glancing at Sasuke in suspicion.
"Yeah. We are from the copy version of it." Samui answered the smirk never leaving her face.
"Samui." Naruto-4 reprimanded lightly. Turning back to the other him before beginning "Are you familiar with the multiverse theory?"
"Multiverse?" Naruto-79 asked sending Sasuke another confused glance.
"Basically every time a crucial moment occurs there is a split in the timeline. Thus a new dimension is created per choice possible. With billions of planets in the universe with life, an uncountable number of different dimensions are created. This is the multiverse. There are trillions of other Naruto with different powers, life and motivations." Naruto stated with scratch of his chin with his finger.
"Really?" Naruto-79 asked memorized by the thought of the multiverse.
"Yeah that is pretty much it." Naruto-4 answered.
"So what are you doing here?" Sasuke questioned stepping forward.
"Finding a way to go home, genius." Samui answered with roll of her eyes.
"I would like to help. I have a garage where I'm working on a revolutionary project for higher ups, I could whip up something that could help." Naruto-79 stated waving them over to his lab, already beginning to track in a comfortable pace.
"Our battle, Nara!" Sasuke demanded not moving to follow or leave.
This caused Naruto-79 to stop walking and turn around. Raising an eyebrow at the dark haired boy, Naruto spoke "Are you really that ready to lose to me that badly, huh?"
Sasuke didn't reply, he just put his left arm horizontally across his chest and activated the gadget which glowed royal blue on the sides.
Copying Sasuke, Naruto-79 looked at the burnt orange glow of his gadget before he spoke "Sasuke! How about this then? We battle in a winner takes all. If you win, then I'll give you all the Madara cards I have, however, if I win, you can not challenge me for them ever again. Deal?"
"Hmph, fine by me. Just makes my victory all the better..." Sasuke smirked at Naruto-79.
Both boys took out decks of cards and shuffled them before inserting them into the biggest compartment on the inner end. Both of them looking at each other dead in the eye before exclaiming "LET'S DUEL!"
On the side, both Samui and Naruto-4 were watching the interaction between Sasuke and Naruto-79, Samui asked in a dull tone "Are we seriously watching this?"
"Oh Yeah."
