Chapter 9, Small Coexistence
START!
"Naruto, you look a little tired, did you get little sleep last night?"
Luka said innocently when the party meet each other again outside their room. And together, they walked down the stairs so they can check out from the Inn.
Of course, Luka's question was shoot because he can see little black bags under Naruto's eyes.
"Nope, not really…" Naruto said while stretching his arms, and after he blinked his eyes, the tiredness somehow disappears from his eyes as if by magic "… Alice just missed me a little, so we wrestled on the bed until five o clock"
The blonde continued, all the while ignoring the pout sent at him by Alice in question that also pinched him a little bit too hard. Not enough to make him hurt, but enough to make him feel it.
Now, you might think that they had not seen each other for whole three years.
But actually, in between, Naruto had teleported back to the Castle to meet Alice because just as she missed him, he also missed her. They then would talk with each other for hours, and once the night came, they fucked like a pair of rabbits.
Most of his semen was eaten by her, but Alice was kind enough to put some in a bottle and dilute it in the water.
Those waters then would be given to the strong monsters among the guards of Monster Lord's Castle… excluding three among four Heavenly Knights of course, as they would just come to him if they want to 'eat'.
Granberia? She seems content with her training and diet of his diluted semen, so he won't say anything for now.
He knows just how muscle-head his mentor/lover can be, after all.
Yes… they're his lovers, as for why it doesn't seem like so… well, that's what happens when you're already in the relationship for years.
Lovey-dovey only happened in the first few months. After that, the sense of normality comes back, followed by the sense of loyalty and responsibility.
They're loyal to each other, but at the same time, they hold the responsibility given to them.
Alice as the Monster Lord, the others as the four Heavenly Knights, and Naruto who was not only can act as the Monster Lord but also was given the responsibility to revive the fifteenth Monster Lord, his own mother.
"Oh, you three! How was your night in the Sutherland Inn?"
The kind Owner greeted them the moment they were on the lower floor, a kind smile on her face, something which they return in kind.
Thus, they walked in her direction.
"It was great! Even though it's incredibly sweet, it doesn't overpower the flavor of the dango…" Alice said to answer the question given to her, a large, happy smile on her face "… It was absolutely delicious, if you were a monster, I'd make you a duchess"
Here, Luka sweatdropped, more so when Naruto nodded in kind as if to agree with what Alice have said.
He's pretty sure the owner was asking about their experience in the Inn though, not about the Ama-ama dango they ate yesterday.
Really, those two…
"Ahahaha! What a strange remark, young woman! Hahaha!"
The Owner laughed hard, seemingly finding what Alice said in the last sentence funny. But not long after, her laugh died down, followed by a rather upset aura around her…
"Unfortunately, we haven't been able to get enough [Happiness Honey] so I can't make anymore Ama-ama dango…" She let out a small sigh here, though her eyes were hinting at them to ask what's the problem "… But since Happiness Village doesn't have men anymore, I guess there's no helping it"
Happiness Village is the small Village to the east of Iliasburg. They're primarily a beekeeping Village that exports their Happiness Honey all over the world.
It was an impressive Village, despite being a little small.
"No problem, we will help you, no matters what the problem is!"
Naruto said as he stepped forward with a large grin on his face. Something that made Alice and Luka blink in question, though for the former, she was quick to catch on to his plan and immediately send the blonde her pout.
Stupid Naruto!
Luka? Well, while he's indeed still confused, at the end of the day, if Happiness Village is indeed facing a problem, then as a Hero, of course, he will help!
"Count me in!"
"Good! I know I can trust you three! Wait here a little, I'll pack up some lunch for you"
Thus, the direction of their journey is set in stone, Luka thought inwardly…

… Or so he thought.
"Hey Naruto, we promised to help Happiness Village, right? So why are we going to west instead of the east?"
Luka asked with a large sweat drop on the side of his head. Naruto… won't try to run away from his own promise, right?
They've finished their businesses in the city, you know, food, equipment, etc, etc. Luka even got his hands on a pretty good and durable shirt made by the mysterious Village, Enrika after Alice pointed the shirt out.
Luka was being stupid and almost buy spiked and heavy-looking armor, after all.
Probably seeing what's on the boy's mind, Naruto flicked a pebble into his forehead.
"Ouch!"
"Dumbass, with your current strength, running to Happiness Village will be a suicide…" Naruto said calmly with Alice beside him nodding a little in agreement "… Plus, I heard in Irina mountains, there's a group of monster bandits making problems for merchants"
"For real…?"
Luka asked, as he never heard anything about this.
"Of course, why would I lie to you, idiot?"
Seeing the reason, Luka nodded. Naruto has never lied to him about anything, so he's pretty sure the blonde won't lie about such a thing too.
Alright!
"Yosh! I'm all fired up!"
"Good…" As Luka walk with more confidence than before, Naruto nodded, though his eyes then drawn to the sword strapped on the boy's hips "… Anyway, let me see that sword of yours"
"Huh? Sure"
After Luka unsheathed his sword, Naruto took it and began to inspect it with a narrowing gaze, and after he did this, he swung the sword a few times to get a good feeling about it.
It was too light, much lighter than an average sword. Hell, it could be called a dagger if he can be honest. A rather long dagger, but still a dagger nonetheless.
But… it was probably made with Luka's stature in mind, Naruto's mind concluded.
"Alright, here you go"
Naruto said as he gave the boy his sword back with a deep-thinking face.
Luka blinked, confused, but still sheathed back his sword after Naruto gave it back. As for Alice…
"No… No… you're not going to give him that"
Alice hissed angrily, tail coiled around Naruto's waist and stopping their walks altogether. Despite this, Naruto still looks calm, ignoring Alice's coil that would've broken most humans' bones if they were not him.
Luka's look is even more confused than before…
"Uuh… give me what?"
Naruto stopped him with a raised hand, all the while, he was having a silent conversation with Alice as they were simply staring at each other for a few minutes.
They're using telepathy, Luka concluded after he saw Alice's face furrowed.
But in the end, Alice seems to have given up as she uncoiled her tail around Naruto and folded her arms under her bosom as if sulking.
"Don't be like that..." gently, Naruto take a hold of one of Alice's palms and intertwined their fingers together "… when we're in the Happiness Village, I'll tell Lucretia to give you some of their delicacies, how's about it?"
"H-Hmph! If you say so"
Alice huffed, but from her wagging tail, anyone could easily guess what she was currently thinking.
And here, Naruto turns his face to Luka with a serious-looking face…
"Luka, I'm going to ask you this for the last time… do you really wish for the co-existence between humans and monsters?"
"I-I do!"
Not really understanding what was happening, but still hearing the question given to him, Luka answered with nothing but pure honesty and conviction in his tone.
"Good…" Here, Naruto unstrapped his sheathed blade from his hips and unsheathe the blade fully from its sheath right in front of Luka "… Luka, when you see this sword, what do you think?"
"… Ugly"
He answered honestly once again, albeit with slight hesitation, afraid that Naruto would take offense to that single phrase.
Of course, instead of being angry, Naruto laughed hard as he sheathed the blade once again and pushed it to Luka, giving the boy the sword in question.
"Yes, yes… it is ugly after all. I won't tell you much about the history behind it for now. But Luka, before me, the user of this sword is the legendary Hero himself, Heinrich Nein. This sword is called Angel Halo, it can seal any enemy you may face in the future, so you don't need to afraid to hurt your enemy too much now, because as long you use this sword, you won't be able to kill them…"
"H-H-H-Heinrich!?"
Luka's eyes widen, his hands tremble, and his body is shaking from shock after he heard what Naruto said.
The creepy, ugly, and demonic-looking sword in his hands is H-H-Heinrich's!?
f-for real!?
"Yes, with this blade, he sealed the bad monsters because just like you, he believed in co-exist between monsters and humans… Remina was the kingdom which take his belief and give it into shape, creating a paradise for humans and monsters"
Luka turns silent after that.
He understood now… the reason why Naruto gave him this legendary sword. Heinrich was the person who made his dream of co-existence between humans and monsters into a reality.
But before reality can happen, a dream must be present.
Naruto doesn't care about the co-exist, but he supports it wholeheartedly, that's why the blonde gives him the Angel Halo, the sword that is not to kill but to seal the enemy he will face in the future.
If he really wants co-existence to be possible, then he must not kill his enemy, no matter how angry he was.
"I understand… I promise that I'll use this Angel Halo to create the world where humans and monsters can be friend with each other for sure!"
"Alright, you should go to Irina mountains for now then"
With a snap of his fingers, Naruto created a magic circle under his feet… a magic circle of teleportation.
Eh…
"E-Eh? You're not going with me?"
"I'm going to go back to look for a few good books to read and some books of technique for you to use…" Naruto waved away Luka's question with a simple wave of his hand, uncaring "… anyway, are you going with me, big sis?"
Of course, Naruto's question said because Alice is yet to slither into the circle, and from the waving movement of her tail, Naruto realized that she must be thinking.
After a few seconds, she shook her head…
"I'm going to follow this idiot Hero for now…" cold glare was sent toward Luka after Alice said this sentence of hers, something that made Luka freeze "… Of course, my reason would be if he were to die, then I will be around to take Angel Halo back from his corpse"
Shivers
"…"
Shivering, Luka cannot say anything to respond to Alice's rude remark.
Naruto?
He was laughing his ass off.
"Ahahaha! You do that then~! Anyway, meet you two back in Sutherland Inn later this evening~"
And thus, Naruto disappears completely.

"… Uh, shall we go?"
Right after Luka said this, Alice suddenly disappears too…
"What!? Oh wait… monster!?"
Knowing the sibling only disappears only when there's a monster around, Luka unsheathed Angel Halo. The sword may look heavy, but it is surprisingly light, so much that it was actually lighter than his short sword…

"What's that!? The sound coming from the sword!?"
A few meters away from Luka, Alice was hiding while stifling her own laugh, watching the so-called Hero almost drop Angel Halo due to his surprise after he heard the moan from the sword in question.
No wonder Naruto seems to like this purple-haired Hero… the boy is surprisingly more idiotic than she had thought at first.
'Idiot little brother, idiot fox, and now idiot Hero… ah, my life is full of idiots from all sides'
This Hero is a new kind of idiot though, so she's going to watch him until she gets bored of him just like how she got bored of Tamamo's stupidity.

Naruto entered the library of Monster Lord's castle with his hair returned to its silver color, a crimson mark of the monster lord emblazoned on his front bangs.
He had to hide the mark when was disguising himself as a normal human, but in his own house, there's no need for such a thing.
"Young master… is there something I could help you with?"
One of the maids living in the castle said the moment she saw him, stopping whatever she was doing just now.
Naruto gave her a small kind smile.
"There's no need, you may continue on your work"
"Yes, young master"
With that, the maid returns to her job cleaning the huge library as Naruto calmly walks through the shelves and took some of the books about special techniques that can be used by a human with a small stature like Luka.
Not even half an hour passed, Naruto already finished taking all the books he needs to train Luka.
What?
As the only one who kept coming to this place year after year, of course, he would remember some book placement.
"I guess that's all…" Naruto said after he put all the books inside his private pocket dimension "… Now what should I do?"
He did say he was going to meet the others in the evening, after all, it would be no good if he returns this fast, simply because he's pretty sure he doesn't want to see Luka beating up children.
What children?
Those bandits of course.
After all, just as he said before, there's simply no way dragon, lamia, and vampire could team up to make a band of thieves, that just simply make no sense whatsoever.
Dragon is a treasure hoarders, they would never share their wealth with just anyone.
The vampire is a noble youma, their pride is infamous among the monsters' circle, and they would've never lowered themselves to become a bandit.
And lamia? They're predators, they kill, rape, and eat. Wealth matter too little to them, and the fact none of the people attacked by the bandits died or were eaten, Naruto concluded that all three of them are children.
Or hoax… though this is slightly unbelievable because no one would gain profit from such a rumor.
Whichever it is though, no harm would come to Luka if he went to the Irina mountains. And of course, with Alice around, no harm will happen to those monster children too.
He has planned everything, thank you very much.
"Come out Gabby"
Taking out his small pocket castle from out of nowhere, Naruto called. And within a second, a large Chimera Beast was already summoned, her blank gaze staring at him like how a large, confused tiger would.
She's so adorable~
"Gabby, do you still remember where I took you from years ago? The ruin of Remina?"
The Chimera's large head pushed into Naruto's chest, and knowing what she wants, Naruto laugh-out-loud as he started to pet his first companion and caresses her behind her long, elven-like ear.
She has become much more affectionate after the years they experienced with each other.
"Re. Mi. Na… I remember"
Oh yeah, and she can talk too now, something she wasn't able to do in the past.
It makes him proud for some reason.
"Good, lets fly over there, shall we? I'm going to catch a few more of your kind to be your friends inside the pocket castle, it must be lonely living there by your lonesome, right?"
Naruto said affectionately as he kissed his chimera on her forehead, making her large head snuggles into his chest even more.
The fact is, he simply wasn't able to summon her out.
In the Grand Noah, people and monsters live in harmony, and while it translated to him should be able to summon Gabby out, it actually isn't.
Gabby is a Chimera, instead of a human-like mind, what she has is a beast-like mind. And because he already tamed her years ago, her mind imprinted him as her master and mate.
Mate, which means she would not assault anyone as she will only 'eat' from him.
And master, which means when they walk together, she always wants him to take the seat on her back and not walk using his own feet.
Now imagine, him, the champion in the Grand Noah Colosseum, riding a monster…

And now, Ilias Continent, where human believers of Ilias gather like some sort of ants… just like he said before, he cannot summon Gabby as much as he wants, at least for now.

The beast growled, and once he heard this, Naruto wasted no time and quickly climb on her back. And once he was comfortable, Gabby began to walk out of the castle as normally as possible.
There's no running inside the castle, that was his very first order given to the Chimera after his mentor, Tamamo-no-Mae punished him with several hours of unnecessary etiquette lessons.
If you dare to run with Gabby inside the castle again, I'll cook you both.
That was the threat given by the nine-tailed kitsune to him, and like the good kid he was, Naruto nodded so fast that his neck almost snapped at the time.

"Goddess Ilias… I found someone named Naruto in the book of life, but…"
Quickly, the Goddess snatched the thick book from the hands of her subordinate. And when she saw the reasons for Eden's hesitation, Ilias narrowed her gaze.

No last name, no birthplace, no birthday, no nothing…
Everything is empty when it comes to this single name, it is as if someone with greater power than her has completely erased every single piece of information about this Naruto person.
But it simply isn't possible.

Closed her eyes for the briefest second, Eden hid the pain in her eyes and bowed to her creator with nothing but revere.
"This Eden understand"

"I'm really sorry for bothering you…"
"I'm so sorry…"

When Naruto arrived at the Iliasburg, he can only watch as four monster children apologize to the gathering crowd over and over with Luka behind them.
If Naruto could guess, then the Hero would move if any of the citizens were to harm the monsters and vice-versa.
Hoo… he's maturing a little it seems.
"Geez, the bandits were little things like this?"
Walked to the masses after his hair once again turn blonde and his Monster Lord's mark disappears, Naruto let out a smile when one of the citizens said that without any angry tone in his tone.
Hell, it held a slight pity actually.
Good… good…
"I saw them a few times, and I thought they might be kids… I guess it was true"
"We have to punish the bad boss dragon…"
"Well…" Luka, as he was hearing all of the words and murmurs coming from the citizens, stepped forward when he heard someone want to punish the dragon. From the edge of his eyes, he could also see his mentor that mouthed 'keep going' "… They were bad, but they apologized and promised to stop"
Of course, one of the citizens, the owner of the Sutherland Inn also stepped forward, as she saw all three Heroes defending the kids, which is enough proof that those kids in front of her are not actually that bad.
"It seems like they're sorry, why not forgive them? They must have had it hard, too…"
The Owner seems to be a big shot in the city, as after she put her own input, the citizens began to start new murmurs around themselves.
"There were a lot of monsters in the forest twenty years ago. Once these bandits showed up, it looks like they fled"
"These bandits didn't do much. We were just scared because there was a dragon and a vampire"
Word after word comes up after the Owner of Sutherland Inn to defends the little monsters. And at the end of it, Naruto grinned.
This city, despite being so close to Ilias Village, isn't that bad.
They're open-minded, just the kind of people he likes.
Thus, within minutes, the citizens forgave the four bandits and accepted them into the city. The lamia child went with the Sutherland Inn owner to work under her. The dragon pup went to work with a blacksmith. The goblin got a job in the warehouse. And the vampire got a job in a tool shop.
Happy ending for everyone…
"Alright! Happy ending!"
When everyone already dispersed and left Naruto, Luka, and Alice in the plaza, Luka screamed happily with a laugh. Nearby, Alice closed her eyes for a small second.
"Fumu… that was unexpected. So these humans were able to accept monsters…?"
There was a hint of disbelief in her tone. But nobody could deny her face was etched with an impressed look for a bit.
She already saw those humans who gave the former four bandits a job for each, and none of them held any hint of hostility in their eyes.
Sure, there was some kind of wariness, but it was expected.
Humans are simply too weak if compared to monsters, children or not, after all.
"Fufu…" Here, Naruto laughed a little, his eyes went to Luka "… So, how was your battle with a legendary dragon, O mighty Hero?"
Heard a teasing tone from his sword mentor, Luka raged comically as he pointed his index finger to the blonde.
"Do you know how much panic attack I faced when that goblin girl said there's a lamia, a vampire, and a dragon in her team!?"
The purple-haired Hero raged as Naruto simply let out a laugh and took Alice's palm in his. And together, with Luka following behind them, the trio walked toward the Sutherland Inn once again.
"Don't ignore me! Next time at least tell me what to expect! Oi! Mentor!"

"Woah, that was delicious"
Naruto said while patting his slightly bulged stomach, beside him, Alice nodded in agreement but with a cool look on her face.
Luka?
He stares at the two with a sweat drop.
One looks like a snob, while the other one looks like a noblewoman. But at the end of the day, they ate twenty plates of food by themselves which totaled forty!
Even he only ate one plate…
"Lamy! Get me the check for the food please!"
Naruto called the little lamia, only to get a small tilted head from the said girl.
"But… the owner said to give you all a free discount for everything"
Hearing this, Naruto let out a small laugh.
Whether that woman is too rich or she's just doing as she pleases, Naruto doesn't know. But still…
"Me and my sister ate forty plates in total. And the owner also gave us free rooms for tonight, at the very least, let us pay for the food only"
"Mnn, if you say so…" Lamy the tiny lamia in the end nodded as she took a pair of notes and pen, then began to write and calculate all of the food the Hero's party ate just now "… This is the total"

As for Naruto himself, he returned his attention to his party when he felt a pair of gazes from Luka and Alice.
"You… did you take the money from the treasury?"
Before Luka can ask his question, Alice shot her own question which makes Naruto rolled his eyes playfully at his sister.
Of course, the question also made Luka's attention went forward and backward between Naruto and Alice.
Are these two… nobles by any chance…? is what crossed Luka's mind.
"Of course, I did, but then again, the golds in our treasury are getting dusty anyway, there was no reason to not take a little amount of it"
Naruto huffed with a slight childishness in his eyes.
Seeing this, Alice wanted to reprimand him, but then she stopped. For all intent, what Naruto said is true, the wealth Monster Lords have accumulated within a millennium of years are too much to count, so much that they actually have their whole basement filled with nothing but gold.
Even taking a few million outs won't create any dent in their treasury.
"Hmph! Alright then, but I want you to tell me the next time you decide to take some money"
"Okay~…" Happily, Naruto agrees. Though his eyes went to Luka after this "… Luka, let's train outside right now. With your current strength, you'll have less than fifty percent to survive in the Happiness Village"
"W-What!? So little!"
"Of course, that's why you better train hard tonight… I'll tell you some good techniques for a petite swordsman like you"
"UWOOOOOH! I'm super excited for it! Let's go, Naruto!"
Thus, Naruto spends his evening training Luka. And once the night come, he went to bed and had some sex with Alice who once again held nothing back as she screwed him over and milked all of his semen.
Geez, and here they already had sex yesterday.

Here, Naruto approved Luka's conviction by giving the Hero in training the sword of the legendary Hero himself, Heinrich Nein. And while albeit Alice didn't like this action of his, she in the end chose to believe her bother and she and her brother also saw how the people of Iliasburg isn't as stiff as they thought at first and actually pretty open minded about monsters.
this day, Alice saw humans actually not as stiff and bad as she thought.
