Ace didn't know what happened. His head felt fuzzy and his mind felt hazy. It was like when he had a Narcolepsy attack. Blacking out and not knowing where he was and what happened afterwards. Only it didn't feel like sleep had hit him. No. He felt his body brush against a warm pelt of fur and felt his head pound slightly from the blood rushing to his head because he was being carried across someone's shoulder.
Okay, seriously. What happened?
He lifted his head with a small moan before hearing a voice, "Ace is finally back with us."
Finally back with them. What did that mean?
The whitebeard pirate opens his eyes and turned his head toward the voice that spoke. It was Chopper, who use to be a tiny reindeer, in a giant form. "Huh?" Ace breathed out into the air, confused.
What happened? Why was Chopper carrying him over his shoulders?
"Finally," Zoro breathed. "I thought Luffy's stunt might have put Ace into coma."
Ace blinked his eyes a few times. An odd ache kept on banging against the back of his skull even though his head felt light as a feather. Something must have happened for the older male to feel this way. He even felt his stomach roll, slightly glad the group cut back on eating a lot of food to survive their trip in the desert.
It took his mind a few minutes to catch on about what had been spoken between his younger brother's crewmembers.
Luffy. It was all Luffy's fault.
Only Ace couldn't remember much.
He'd agreed to join the Straw Hats on their journey and they agreed to help him find Teach. Or at least a good lead. The group camped together last night in the desert and then at first light headed off to Yuba. Only Ace couldn't remember the events that started the day.
All he could remember now is waking up and being carried by Chopper.
"What happened?" Ace breathed, groaning from the pain within his skull. It remained the male of waking up after he was defeated by Whitebeard and awoke on the Moby Dick for the very first time. That only caused him to remember Thatch and his heart began to ache. "What did Luffy do?"
He was going to have to deeply apologize for what his kid brother had done. It was rare for Luffy not to cause trouble. Only Ace hadn't been dragged into Luffy's chaos in years.
"Nothing," Luffy shouts.
"Don't start," Zoro hissed toward his captain. "You caused all of this and dragged your brother down with you."
"Come on. It's not that bad," Luffy tried to say only for his two crewmates glared at him.
Ace turned his head toward Luffy as Chopper sent a furious glare toward the young captain of the Straw Hats.
"Not that bad," Chopper shirked at the top of his lungs. The noise was loud enough that Ace felt his ears ring and his head pounded even worst. "We lost everyone, Luffy!"
Lost everyone, Ace thought.
"It's not my fault they got lost," Luffy said in his defeat.
"They're not the ones that are lost! We are!" Zoro shouts.
"So, we got separated again," Ace replied in a blunt tone. By listening in to all the noise going on around him that was the most logical conclusion.
"Yes," Chopper spoke, sadly.
Zoro gave a small nod.
Luffy just gave a small smile. "Yep."
Only Chopper and Zoro turned and glared at Luffy. "And guess whose fault it is!"
Luffy gritted his teeth together in a grimace because of his crewmate's fury. "Mine."
"Yep." Chopper said.
Zoro nods in agreement. "Big time."
Ace looked up, his eyes scanning the desert area and taking notice that it was around noon. The sun was high in the sky as heat radiated across the sand. Only he couldn't see or sense anyone from their group. Vivi, Sanji, Nami, and Usopp must have been far across the desert if observation Haki couldn't find them.
"Can you walk, Ace?" Chopper asked
Walk? The question caused Ace to think for a moment. His mind not fully following what Chopper was asking for a second. What did Luffy do that made them think Ace couldn't walk? The twenty year old could feel his legs just fine which made him worry about what had taken place. Whatever Luffy had done must have been terrible if it left Ace unable to walk?
"I can feel my legs just fine," Ace admits to the reindeer doctor. "Let's see if my body can support by weight." He slowly got off the reindeer's shoulder and landed back onto the sand. His legs only wobbled for a second the moment they hit the ground. Getting use to the feeling of the sand from being lifted in the air and carried around. "Yeah. Seems I'm fine. Thanks for the help and carrying me around, Chopper."
The reindeer's eyes seem to glimmer in the light by the kind words and the young animal grinned with a slight blush. "You're welcome Ace."
Ace grinned before turning his attention toward Luffy, "Mind explaining what kind of trouble you cause, little brother?"
Luffy's dark eyes quickly looked around the area in any attempted to stay away from Ace's. "Well…I didn't-"
"It's a long story," Zoro admits.
"And I have the time to hear it," Ace answered. "Cause it's going to take a while to find the others again."
Past
The Straw Hats, Vivi, the Camel called Eyelash and Ace traveled across the desert sand dunes. The sun was slowly rising and the air was beginning to heat up once more. It was going to be a very hot day just by the fill within the air and Ace could even felt the rise in temper thanks to his fire logia powers. The Whitebeard Pirate could even see the heat make Luffy's rubber skin seem to be melting, it was only thanks to the desert clothes Straw hat wore which kept the heat from fully effecting him.
Ace let out a small breath as Luffy ran away from the main male group of his crew to join Ace in walking within the back. The older young gave the young one a glance once Luffy was looking at him with a grin.
"Yes, Luffy?"
"You have any water, Ace?" Luffy wondered. "I'm thirsty."
Ace gave a small nod. "Yes, but don't drink it all."
The older brother took out his drinking container and handed it to Luffy. The young teen took it and unscrewed the lid before taking a sip. It was more like a large gulp which made Luffy's cheeks puff out like a chipmunk. Which caused Ace to roll his eyes.
"What did I just say, Luffy?"
Luffy swallowed the water in a gulp, eyes looking at Ace with a blank expression. "Don't drink it all."
"Yes, and what did you just do?" Ace asked, demanding toward his brother with an eyebrow in the air.
Luffy just smirked before running off with the canteen. "I'll refill it, Ace!"
"Okay," Ace said, concern. He didn't remember them having a barrel of water left from when they came across the fake rebel soldiers. But he didn't feel like questioning it because Luffy was always being Luffy.
Unknown to Ace his younger brother did refill the canteen, but not with water. Luffy filled it with the cactus water from the mescal cacti that was used to make hallucination drugs.
"It's all filled up," Luffy answered as he ran back to Ace. Only the young teen took a drink of the cactus water before handing it back to Ace.
Ace gave a small nod and took the canteen back, taking a gulp of water himself before placing the container back into his bag.
The sun began to rise higher into the desert sky as the sun began to beat down on the group of pirates. Only as the desert heat began to expand into the air, making the desert air hard to breath. Even Ace was starting to fill more of the heat than normal. Usually his flame-flame fruit helped keep heat away from his body which allowed the male to control his body temperature.
"Crocodile," Luffy grumbled.
Ace shook his head at his younger brothers' words. Did Luffy stand a chance against a Warlord of the sea? The Whitebeard pirate knew Luffy didn't know how to use Haki, but every logia has a weakness. Which meant Luffy had a change. Only the warlord would be more focused on Ace because of his connection to Whitebeard. Which would give Luffy a chance to surprise attack Crocodile.
Only the older male was shook from his thoughts as he felt sweat dripping down his neck.
This wasn't normal. At least, not to Ace.
He was fire. Heat. The desert shouldn't even be bothering him. He shouldn't even be sweating.
"Crocodile," Luffy growled under his breath.
Ace felt his head hurt and the word his brother spoke seemed to echo around him as his stomach turned. Making the male feel sick as he walked. Only his legs started to feel like jelly as the sweat kept on dripping down his neck.
What was going on?
'Somethings wrong,' Ace thought, shaking his head.
Only the Whitebeard pirate hadn't felt illness in a long time. Not since he ate the flame-flame fruit.
Did he eat something that didn't agree with him? No. Every one of them would be feeling ill if that was case. Was his fruit over reacting to the desert? Doubtful. Or was he getting ill? Marco would be surprise to hear that once Ace returned to the Moby. Fire Fist Ace gets overheated in the desert and made himself ill.
Yeah. He'll never be able to live that down.
His vision blurred. This caused Ace to close his eyes as his stomach turned.
Gosh. He felt sick.
Dizzy.
Ace grimaced as he opened his eyes and was able to call toward Chopper for help. He needed to lay down. Only when he looked toward the group he saw Thatch. Alive and in front of him.
How?
That's impossible.
Only the sight of his deceased friend made Ace freeze in his spot.
"Thatch," he breathed, feeling his body shake.
No. This can't be real.
It can't be.
"Ace," Thatch spoke, but the words sounded distance and like an echo-almost ghostly.
"H-h-h-How?" Ace stuttered. "A-are you… alive?"
This had to be a dream. An illusion.
"I'm not," Thatch answered bitterly. His shiny eyes that always held friendship and brotherhood toward Ace was a glare of darkness. "Because you failed in your Commander duty and didn't stop Teach."
Ace felt his skin going white as he lost color on his face. Blood rushing down toward his feet at the words. "T-Thatch," he whispered.
"Oden would've never allowed that to happen," Thatch spat.
Kozuki Oden was the original Second Division Commander. A samurai from the country of Wano. He'd joined the Whitebeard Pirates and Whitebeard considered Oden a little brother, but when Roger requested Oden to join him on his voyage, Whitebeard adamantly refused to let him take Oden. Only for the man from Wano agreed to go with Roger which caused Whitebeard to be annoyed by Oden's decision, but they parted on good terms. Years later, sometime after Oden returned to Wano, the male had been killed by Kaido's hands, but the Whitebeards didn't know about Oden's death until years later due to Wano's isolation.
"I…I…" Ace tried to say, but clinched his teeth together. He was no Kozuki Oden. He knew that. Thatch was right. Maybe he was never ready to be Second Division commander. He could never live up to Oden.
"He would've noticed if something was wrong. Oden would've never been fooled like you, Ace."
"Thatch."
"You let me be stabbed in the back."
"No…no…no…Thatch," Ace tried, shaking his head.
"Zeehahaha," A deep laugh echoed across Ace's hazy mind and vision.
Ace's whole body went stiff at the noise. His heart pounding within his chest as blood rushed from his face and making him feel overheated and cold at the same time. That laugh belonged to that murdering bastard. He'd heard it enough time over the years on the Moby Dick to know the noise from anywhere.
"Teach," Ace snarled, teeth clenched together tightly.
Thatch let out a quick intake of breath as blood ran down his mouth. A silver bladed knife appeared behind the former Fourth Division Commander as a shadow appeared behind Thatch.
"You…" Thatch spoke, blood running down the side of his mouth and getting all over his chief uniform. "Let it happen again, Ace."
Ace's eyes grew wide. "No."
Teach moved behind Thatch, deep in the shadows that seem to fold around him. "Thanks for the help, Commander Ace. I never could've done it without you." Then Blackbeard pulled the bloody blade from Thatch's body and burst out a laugh, "Zeehahahah."
Ace tried to move forward to catch Thatch's body. Only for his legs not to response to his mind. The sight of watching Thatch die in front of him was too much for his brain. Blood stained the ground in droplets as his face began to pale.
Thatch was dead.
Thatch was dead again.
He couldn't do anything.
"You murdering bastard!" Ace screeched at the top of his lungs, running forward at Teach.
Blackbeard gave another laugh. "Zehahahah. Who's gonna die next, Commander Ace? Pops? Your brother at the hands of Crocodile? Marco? After all the blood running through your veins is a curse. It's only fitting that your demon blood leads everyone that cares about you to their graves."
"Shut up!" Ace roared, fist on fire. "Fire fist!"
The fire attack crashed right into Teach as sand shut up into the air and ran down around Ace like rain. Only Teach stood unharmed from the attack and shot Ace a grin.
Why didn't it hit him?
"Now, now, Commander," Teach tusked. "That's not how you treat-"
"Shut up! Fire Fist!"
Sand sot upward into the air again. Flames danced around Ace and Teach as sand turned to glass.
"Why isn't it working?" Ace wondered out loud, eyes wide at how Teach stood unharmed from the attack.
"Ace," Zoro's voice rang out.
Ace turned his head at the sound. What was Luffy's first mate yelling about? Only his vision began to blur as he saw the green haired male running across the sand dunes toward him.
"Crocodile!" Luffy shouts.
Crocodile? Were they being attacked by the warlord?
Ace turned back and looked at Teach who was gone.
"What?" Ace breathed, confused.
"Zehahahah, Commander Ace!"
Ace turned his head, vision blurring with from the speed his turned around at the noise.
"Crocodile!" Luffy roared.
Ace felt a hand grab the front of his shirt as his eyes locked with the cold eyes of Teach.
"The bloods on your hands. Watch your brother die at the hands of the warlord. You wouldn't be able to save him in the end."
"No," Ace breathed. Only the air was knocked out of his lungs as his body went flying across desert until he hit a sand dune. The hot sand landed onto his clothes as he coughed, trying to get in air.
'What the hell is going on?' Ace wondered, head hurting.
The male began to stand up as he took in gasps of air. Sand falling off his clothes as Ace tried to take a step forward and felt himself fall back toward to the ground and landed onto his knees. He reached a hand toward the sand and tried to pick his body up as a sweat drop hit the ground as his arm began to shake.
What's going on?
Why was he so weak?
Then Ace felt a strong wind go toward him. It felt like two male's fighting. Like a single hit had knocked two guys out cold from trading a single blow. It sent the male to the ground as the sand flew across the dunes.
"You're going to break you promise, Commander Ace," Teach's voice spoke.
Ace tried to set up only for him to not find any strength left to move.
Darkness started to fill Ace's vision as everything disappeared around him.
Now
"Both Luffy and yourself were acting crazy," Zoro explained to Ace. "Chopper and I came to stop you both from fighting each other. Only Luffy sent you flying before turning his attention to me."
"I thought both of you were Crocodile," Luffy added.
"Then Luffy and I fought," Zoro gave a small grimace. "We ended up knocking each other out. Then a few hours passed before Chopper came too-"
"I'd been out cold because of the heat," Chopper explained. Ace raised an eyebrow only to understand that Chopper had been fur. Heat and animals that survive in cold don't get along. "Sorry," he adds in a whisper, disappointed in himself.
"It's fine," Ace admits. "Then what happened."
"Chopper got Luffy and myself awake. We found you and couldn't wake you up."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
"Sorry," Ace found his voice. He could recall some of what he saw before he blacked out. "I don't know what caused it."
"It was Luffy."
"Luffy?" the Whitebeard Pirate questioned, eyebrow in the air.
Zoro gave a nod. "Yeah."
"He filled the water canteen with cactus water from the mescal cacti that was used to make hallucination drugs," Chopper explained.
"Oh," Ace breathed. Then he turned his attention toward Luffy. "Trying to drag me into trouble as well, Lu?"
Luffy just gave a grin. "Just like old times."
Ace shook his head as they continued to walk through the desert in search of the Straw Hat Pirates and the Princess. The sun continued to beat down on the three humans and reindeer as it became noon. The heat was coming off the air in waves only Ace remained unaffected thanks to his devil fruit.
They would need to find someplace shady soon. Or Ace feared that Luffy, Chopper, or Zoro might end up collapsing because of the heat.
"I found shade!" Luffy exclaimed.
Ace turned around with Chopper and Zoro. All three pales at the words and seemed to know what was about to happen.
"Gum-Gum…" Luffy shouts, arms stretching toward a same pill of rocks. "…Rocket!"
Only when Luffy launched himself like a boomer rang, it took Chopper, Zoro and Ace flying as well-since the three were in front of the young teenage. The four pirates sailed through the air and into the rocks that made up a cave. Zoro crashing his back onto a rock and fell to the ground, Chopper landed outside, while Ace was glad he was made of fire because the landing barley phased him.
"Just like old times, huh, Luffy?" Ace asked, grinning from the ground as he sat up.
Luffy had relaxed himself against the wall of the cave, hands behind his head and legs out in front of him, with a grin on his face. "Nice and cool."
Zoro had stood up with his swords drawn, glaring at Luffy with bare teeth. "I ought to cut you in half."
"Right," Luffy answered, slightly guilty at causing damage to his crew mates and brother. "Sorry about that. My bad." Then he took around and asked, "Where's Chopper?"
Ace pointed to outside the cave where the reindeer laid in the sand.
"Oh. There he is. What's he doing out there? Is he trying to act funny?" Luffy asked.
Ace shook his head. "Well, seems like you haven't changed at all." Always keeping them on their toes and very aware of their surrounds because Luffy could be a danger to those around him.
Zoro pointed his sword at Luffy's neck, which caused the straw Hat boy to go pale and discover everything was his fault once again.
"This is my fault," Luffy answered. "I'm sorry."
At least Luffy is using manners, Ace thought. It made the Whitebeard Pirate proud that he pay attention to Makino's lessons and tried his best to teach Luffy the right way to express gratitude and to ask forgiveness.
Zoro moved away from Luffy and put his weapons away. "Geez! What was the point of that conversation-" The moment he sat down on the rock, it sunk into the ground and pulled him down into the sand below.
Ace nearly yelled out, he stood up from his spot and rushed over to the place where Zoro was dragged down. Only to realize that it wasn't a sink field, but an old building giving way from underneath their feet.
"What's up with the big hole?" Luffy wondered, staring at the sand.
"How should I know that?" Zoro shouts back up toward them.
"It seems were on top of an old civilization," Ace explained.
"You okay!" Luffy shouts down to his first mate.
Zoro gave a small groan. "Dammit! That hurt!"
"Well, you did fall several feet," Ace admits.
Zoro stood up and looked around the area. "What is this place?" He looked around and saw something in the middle of the place, buried half-way in the sand. "What's this giant square rock?"
Giant square rock?
Ace paled after a second when he realized what Zoro must have found. Giant square rocks were called Poneglyphs. These Poneglyphs were massive cubes with ancient scripts carved into the indestructible stone. Out of all the Poneglyphs the red ones were the rarest. Since all four red ones put together can create a location to the last and final island of the Grand Line. The legendary Laugh Tale.
If Ace wanted to make Whitebeard Pirate King, then he'll have to find all of them? But the last red Poneglyph-the one that used be on Fishman Island was long gone. Disappeared without much of a trace. How a giant red rock disappeared is unknown to everyone?
"What color is it?" Ace wondered, shouting down toward Zoro.
Zoro looked up at Ace. "It's blue. Why does it matter?"
Blue. Ace though as he let out a small groan. Dammit. So close.
Luffy looked at Ace, curious. "Why does the color matter?"
Ace looked at his brother for a moment before shaking his head. "You'll figure out why they're important when you reach the New World. I don't want to spoil your adventure with future knowledge." Luffy might just smack Ace in the face if he chose to explain that the red Poneglyphs were important to finding The One Piece.
Luffy nods his head. "Okay."
"So you're not going to tell us what it is?" Zoro asked, furious.
"Sorry," Ace shouts down to the swordsman.
Only for Luffy to jump into the hole to see what Zoro had found. Ace shook his head before following them down as well.
It was an old ruin. Old white marble pillars were standing in the center of the room. In the center was a blue poneglyph that was tilted to the side.
Ace gave a small hum before taking out his bag and reaching inside to get a pencil and paper. He might as well write down the words written on the stone cube encase the red Ponegyyph could've been recolored or what was written on the cube was important to find the location of the missing red Poneglyph.
"Why are you two down here?" Zoro asked.
"I used my arms." Luffy explained.
"I used my fire," Ace mumbled, writing down the ancient words into his note book.
Zoro gave the brothers an annoyed look. "I'm asking why!"
Luffy gave a small shrug. "Why not?"
Ace chose not to say anything.
Zoro just glared at the two brothers. "You're both idiots." Now he was starting to see how alike Ace and Luffy were. "With both of you down here too, we might get separated from Chopper! Without his nose, we'll never meet up with Vivi and the others!"
"Oh! That's okay!" Luffy exclaimed.
Ace paled at his brother's behavior toward the situation. Luffy was back knowing and understanding things in a way that never seemed to be Haki.
"Why is that?" Zoro asked, shouting.
"Because Chopper is falling down here too!"
"Huh?" Ace asked.
In that moment Chopper can crushing from the ceiling and into the ruins. Joining the males gathered in front of the cube.
"See?" Luffy exclaimed, pointing at Chopper.
Chopper gave a small groan, standing up with a grimace of pain of his face. "Ow…"
"You okay, Chopper?" Ace asked with concern.
Chopper gave a nod. "Yeah." Then to dark eyes wondered around the area. "Ace! Zoro! Luffy! What is this place?"
"No idea." Zoro explained with an annoyed tone and shot a glare toward Ace. "But whatever it is, it's definitely underground. And Ace is hiding information about a weird looking rock."
"Underground?" Chopper answered.
"It's most likely an ancient city that was buried in the desert," Ace explained. "Empires fall and rise. So do countries."
Luffy paled. "You mean to say this might be what happens to Vivi's country. Forgotten and in the ground. Buried in the sand of time."
The Whitebeard Pirate let out a small breath into the open air, placing a hand onto his orange hat to hide his eyes. Luffy pointing out that this old civilization might be what Vivi's country will turn into wasn't incorrect. It was a possibility at the moment.
"Unfortunately, it might," Ace answered in a sober tone. "With the damage Crocodile has done to this country…"He trailed off because even he wasn't all knowing about the outcome of the Warlords plan for Vivi's country. War was going to come and blood will be spilled. People will die. Only how much could be prevented he didn't know.
"Then we need to go!" Luffy exclaimed. "So I can kick Crocodile back to his swampland."
Ace felt his sweat drop from the back of his neck. He does realize Crocodile isn't from an actual swamp…right?
"How do you suggest we get out of here?" Zoro wondered.
"I can fly us out," Ace suggested. He placed his notebook back into his bag and shoved it over his shoulder once more.
"You're no fun, Ace," Luffy complained. The young teen was always getting his arm reach to stretch toward the hole. "Gum-Gum…Pistol" His fist shot upward and hit the roof of the ancient dome, which caused more sand and marble from the roof to fall down.
"Luffy," Ace snapped. "That's dangerous you idiot." Then he took his fist and hit his younger brother over the head. "You might hurt Zoro or Chopper with your reckless move."
Luffy blinked and gave a nod. "Sorry, Ace. Your right."
"Just grab onto me," Ace ordered the group.
"Got it."
"Sure."
"Okay."
Luffy had wrapped his arms ground Ace's neck and jumped onto his back. Chopper went down to his small size and grabbed into Ace's hat, sitting on top of it. While Zoro grabbed into Ace's waist.
"Hold on," Ace told the three pirates.
Fire Fist turned the bottom half of his body to flames and shot himself and the others upward from the launch of the fire-going off like a rocket. They went upward out of the hole and into the open air before slowly landing into the sand below.
"Thanks Ace," Chopper answered, getting off his hat and onto the ground.
"Yeah. This was much easier," Zoro adds.
Luffy just crossed his arms and grumbled, "I could've done that."
"Of course, Luffy," Ace said to his brother.
Then the group of four headed off in search of the others. Walking the desert and braving the heat was easy as the sun began to set. Once night began to fall Luffy seemed to have gotten slightly happier with the change of air. Zoro and Chopper walked behind the two brothers as Ace kept his observation Haki activate to search for the others.
"Hey! Hurry up!" Luffy ordered.
"Of course he gets energetic when it starts to cool off…" Zoro complained to Chopper.
Ace felt it. The cool air but also the others. "It seems we found the others."
"Huh?" Zoro asked.
Chopper gave a small nod in agreement. "Yeah. I can smell the perfume."
"How?" the swordsman demands.
"It's Nami's," Chopper exclaimed before pointing to the west, which was the direction Ace was facing. "It's this way."
"Good work," the green haired male.
"Luffy!" Ace called out toward his younger brother.
Luffy, who had been walking ahead, turned around to face the other. "Huh?"
"We found Nami and other others!" The older brother continued before giving a small grin. "In the sunset direction!" Since Luffy wouldn't know where to go without being told how to get there.
"Really?" Luffy shouts before running off into the sunset.
Ace smiled at the sun setting in the colors of orange, red, and pink colors that seemed to shine off the sand. Only as he watched Luffy run toward the others he thought he saw a flash of white shinning off his bother that seemed to be brighter than the sun.
"Huh?" Ace whispered to himself, shaking his head and closing his eyes to old see Luffy and the white color that was outlining his kid brother was gone. "That was weird."
"What's weird?" Zoro asked, eyebrow raised.
He shook his head. "I thought I saw something. I guess I imagine it."
Yeah. Ace's imagination or a side effect from the hallucination drugs from that water.
Luffy didn't have white smoke hair. That's just weird. Regardless of the sun sitting and bringing the night, but after a long night comes the dawn.
That's what Luffy is going to bring to this country. He's going to bring back hope and light.
.
.
.
Chapter two is complete.
Ace got roped into Luffy's craziness. The hallucination with Teach and Thatch was meant to explain Ace's fears and how he feels about what happened as a whole.
I liked giving Ace more time to bond with the Straw Hats. Even though Zoro and Chopper act differently toward Luffy because Ace is around. Even though Ace knows his brother is very hard to handle at time.
Luffy in this fic will be using Haki unknowingly. Which was why he was able to hit Ace when they were both Hallucinating and was able to send Ace flying with Chopper and Zoro.
