-Vermillion Household-
All had been quiet throughout the Vermillion household, and the night had proceeded as usual. Most of the butlers and maids had been busy with evening chores. One servant in particular had entered the household, holding a document before he quickly made his way towards a room in particular, as there appeared to be smoke, like something had been freshly burned.
With a gulp the young servant went and opened the door, entering the room.
"Ma-Master Mereoleona!" The servant said to who appeared to be a young woman, "The Wizard King has sent the report you requested, in regards to Primrose Vera."
The woman-Mereoleona had stopped her magic before she turned to the servant, "Really? Bring it over."
The servant flinched before he said, "Y-yes M-Ma'am!" He quickly went over to her without delay before he handed her the report. She soon read it thoroughly as she soon had a smirk on her face as the servant heard give out a chuckle before she motioned the servant to leave.
"So we're finally gonna meet-Princess."

A week had passed by, after Prism's arm had reverted to that of a lizard, and they each had more questions then they did answers. All they did know was since those two days, something in Prism changed. All Prism was… She awakened something in her or rather, it was something she always had. Though she didn't know about it until recently. Let's just say there was a bit of an accident involving a glass of water, and now her entire left hand had to be bandaged.
Now, the Captains had to put it to the test, to see exactly what they were dealing with.
"One, two, three-GO!" Yami said.
Prism started to go at it with her uncle Nolan as they had both started to arm wrestle, though Prism herself had been struggling to keep her arm up. Though much to Nolan's surprise-He had found himself equally matched with her.
"Well how about that-" Nolan said with a grunt, "-You're actually a challenge for me, just like your mom!"
"Tha-Thanks I guess!" Prism said as she struggled to keep up.
"Come on, Pri!" Pluck cheered
"You can do it girl!" Aisling said.
"You do realize they're not actually competing right?" Feodora said as she gave Pluck a look.
"Still it helps!" Pluck told her.
"Yeah we do this all the time!" Aisling added
"Of course you guys do.." Karasu said as he rolled his eyes
Noelle could only have a look as she said, "This is not what Royalty supp-"
Pluck only pinched her lips as he told her, "Shush."
"Come on Pri!" Asta cheered, "You got this! You can beat him and his cool looking hat!"
"Was that supposed to be an insult?" Saorise asked curiously.
"I think?" Brenin said.
"That's weak." Liam said.
"We REALLY gotta work on that." Feodora said to Asta.
"FEO, YOU'RE NOT CHEERING LOUD ENOUGH!" Asta shouted as he shook Feodora a little, though she wasn't phased by it, as she only rolled her eyes again.
"I'M CHEERING BUT I FORGOT WHY!" Theodore exclaimed as he had been sitting on Prism's lap.
Prism could feel something click in her, as for a moment, the veins in her arm became a lit; they could see her eye had become a familiar white color before she let out a cry.
BAM-Went the table as she was able to slam Nolan's hand against the table causing it to crack and making him cringe at the pain. Jubei clapped as she cheered, "That was awesome!"
Prism immediately panicked as she noticed Nolan's hand had been bruised. "Oh my gosh Uncle, I'm so sorry!" Prism exclaimed as her eye reverted to normal.
"Ah, no worries sweetheart." Nolan said as he rubbed his hand, "It's nothing some ice and cold water can't fix."
"And if you were using your full strength, you would've broken the table itself." William said as he examined the cracks.
"Are-Dragons normally that strong?" Asta asked.
"Based on the stories from when we were kids, yeah." Liam replied with a shrug.
"Oh, you're joking!" Theodore said with a smile.
"Legend has it, one defeated a mighty warrior in combat. In the end, the warrior became the dragon's master." Pluck added
"Though to be fair it is a story and legends." Sachiko pointed out, "So there's no way to know right?"
"I guess Aurora is getting used to this strength too." Prism said as she clenched her hand; the spirits had gathered around her left hand as she felt some of the pain elevate.
"Then the first time around was an accident?" Feodora asked.
"I don't know." She replied, "Since most of my injuries healed up, it's been kind of going on and off. It was probably like this before, but I didn't think about it till now."
"What about that other trick you did?" Karasu soon asked, "The one where you overloaded an object with mana?"
"I-Don't even remember how I did that one." Prism replied sheepishly.
"KEKE-Maybe that can happen to a person?" Jack asked.
Prism couldn't help but jump back in alarm as she shrieked while the others jumped.
"What?! No!" Pluck exclaimed, "Are you insane?!"
Jack gave Pluck a look as he couldn't help but flinch. Pluck said as he pointed to Feodora, "Slice her, not me."
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT STUCK UP?" Feodora said with a death threatening aura which made Pluck jump.
"Okay, I'm gonna go study." Pluck said as he got up. "See you guys later-"
Just as he was gonna open the door, Acer and Gooden (Who had been wearing a casual dress) prevented him from leaving.
Gooden told him, "Pluck, we talked about this."
"Yeah, be nice to the scary girl." Acer told him.
"Not helping Acer." Gooden said.
"I'm not wrong." Acer said with a shrug
"Look, even if I could do that-I wouldn't want to blow someone up!" Prism told Jack as she flailed her arms.
Theodore told her as he gave her a nudge, "But you could you know?"
"No one is getting blown up!" She told him.
"Aw-You're no fun." Theodore whined.
Addeline just whacked him with a stick as she said "QUACK! QUACK!"
"YOU WILL PAY FOR HARMING THE OVERLORD!" Theodore yelled as his eyes shifted to green before the two began to fight in a puff of smoke.
"And you sure you have no idea how you tap into that?" Yami asked her.
Prism shook her head, "Like I said, it's just a bit random-" She soon gestured to her left hand, "-Hence why I have this after I tried to drink water."
"At the very least you have that screechy thing under control!" Asta soon said as he patted her on the back.
"Yeah except for when I sne-" Prism started to say before she felt her nose had gotten itchy. Most of them jumped but calmed down as she took a breath of relief. However-
"ACHOO!"
The next second, most of them were knocked over by a sudden gust of wind as Prism flew back right into the wall as she found herself stuck. "Owie…" She groaned as some of the spirits quickly tended to her.
"Well-Haven't seen that in awhile." Feodora said.
"You good Tater-Tot?" Karasu asked.
"Ye-Yeah…" Prism replied, "How about you guys?"
"We're fine." Aisling replied.
"Don't worry about us." Vandy said.
"You weren't kidding when you told us it was sudden when sneezing." Liam said.
"Oh yeah." Acer said with a nod.
Pluck sighed as he said, "I'll get you down, Pri. Add-" Pluck looked and saw Addeline was still fighting with Theodore before he groaned. "Or I'll do it myself then."
Gooden soon told Pluck, "Don't waste your mana, Pluck. Allow me." Her Grimore began to come out as it began to glow a light purple. "Neon Magic: Neon Chain." Soon from her book a ray or Neon Purple light formed a rope as it took Prism off and laid her down gently.
"Ow-" Prism said, before she shook herself out, "It really is just one problem after another with this grimoire."
"Well in your defense, there's never been a grimoire that responds to only incantations before." Aidan pointed out, "So it's not your fault."
"I couldn't agree more." William said, "Besides, every problem has a solution, your highness. We just have to know where to look."
"Samlet, Ringo and Hannah are gonna work night and day to find out what type of dragon Aurora is exactly." Acer added, "Until then, we're gonna work through this together."
Prism smiled at this sort of thing, "Thanks…"
"In the meantime, we might as well take it easy today. Since nothing crazy is about to happen." Pluck said. "I'll be in my study."
"Bro wait!" Aisling said, stopping him, "You're gonna miss the look on Prism's face from the gift we got her!"
"A gift?" Prism said a bit taken back as the group of teens and kids, as they each had a smile, "What sort of gift?"
"Well-" Aine said, "-It's a little gift from all of us, and we couldn't let you leave the capital without bringing a souvenir from being here in general!"
"We-" Sachiko soon said, "-All noticed how down you had gotten after that Dungeon mission. So Asta-niichan, Feodora-neechan, aniki and Yuno-niisan thought that we would all pinch in to get you the best gift to cheer you up."
Prism flinched at the mention of the Dungeon, but looked over to Asta, Karasu, and Feodora as they both had their own smiles. "Did-You really? And Yuno too?" She asked.
"Well-Yeah." Asta said, "You were really upset after what happened, and neither of us could bear to see you like that."
"So-We've been kind of-" Feodora added before her face turned a little red as she played with the sparrow hairpin, "-Meeting up with him secretly, so we could find the gift for you."
"And-" Karasu soon said, "-I think we found the perfect one for you. Fair warning though, it didn't come cheap."
Prism looked confused until she found herself being taken into the living room, by her Familiars.
The next thing she knew she had been sitting in front of a purple wrapped box that Pluck had been kind enough to bring in.
"It's uh-Kind of small." Prism said awkwardly as some of the spirits shifted to yellow.
Noelle had told her, "Why don't you open it and see what's inside?"
"What's it supposed to be?" Prism asked.
"Hey, that's the whole point of presents!" Asta said, "You just gotta open it to find out!"
Prism looked at the gift with curious eyes before she took the box onto her lap before carefully undoing the wrappings. She opened the box as she had been taken back by what was inside. It looked to be a black box as far as she could tell with a circle in the middle. She looked at the object with curious eyes as the Familiar, even Adrien sniffed the object. Theodore's eyes sparkled as he tried to reach for it.
"It's uh-" Prism said, "-What is it?"
"It's called a camera." Feodora replied.
"A camera?" She said, "What's a camera?"
"You basically take photos with it." Pluck explained as he pointed "Just by using these buttons on the top here."
"Oooo, what's a photo?" Theodore said with a happy tone of voice, before it switched to a monotone voice, "Can we eat a photo?"
Asta chuckled before he took it, "Here Pri. Let me show you how it works. Remember to smile!"
Prism looked confused before he held out the camera at arm's length, as he put the other around Prism as her cheeks were a bit red; they didn't seem to notice that Noelle looked especially surprised as her face was all red. With the press of the button there was a sudden bright flash that almost blinded her, and startled the others.
"What the heck-?!" Brenin said, shocked.
"What in the world was that?!" Saorise said.
They suddenly noticed something come out of the device which made them jump. "Now all we gotta do is shake it out-" Asta said as he took the object out before shaking it, "-And there, see!" He soon showed her, himself and Prism.
Prism let out a shriek, as did the Familiars, even Adrien and Theodore which took the others back.
"BI-BIME I ELENA!" Prism exclaimed.
"IT-IT'S YOU!" Brenin exclaimed, "YOU'RE BOTH IN THERE!"
"HO-HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!?" Saorise exclaimed, "IS THIS A MAGIC ITEM!?"
"OR A CURSED ITEM!" Liam exclaimed before he gasped, "IS THAT WHAT THIS IS!? YOU SICKO!"
"Hu-Huh?!" Asta said, "No! It's not like that!"
"IT STOLE YOUR SOULS!" Theodore shouted as he swiped the camera as he was ready to smash it, "I'LL FREE YOU FROM THIS CONTRAPTION! DEATH UPON THEE!"
"NO!" The group shouted before, Aine quickly swiped the camera from him.
"It's just a camera guys." Pluck said, "Just a camera."
"It's not magical, or cursed." Aine said, "Just a regular old camera made with the power of science."
"It's-Not as cool as magic, but science can make stuff!" Vandy said.
"But-How can it draw this good?" Prism asked as she looked at the photo, "Is there a little fairy in here that draws it?"
"If there is-It's sick." Liam said.
Asta couldn't help but laugh, "It's not like that. It basically captures a moment so that way it can be preserved forever."
"Really?" Prism asked as the spirits looked as curious as she did.
Feodora soon took the camera as she opened a compartment, and showed a roll of black from what it seemed like a small claw. "See? This is called a film." Feodora explained, "Someone came up with the idea to use this to save any moment instantly."
"There's a metal hand they installed in it, so it presses down the moment you hit the button." Karasu added, "That way, it's not just any moment you get, it's any second that happens in your life, you can grasp in your fingers."
Prism's eyes sparkled with awe at this, "Bime i elena…! I love it." She soon hugged the camera, "I didn't think there was a way to preserve my new adventures with my sketchbook all filled up!"
"If you'd like-" Vandy soon said as his eyes sparkled, "-We could have mom scrounge up a scrapbook for you, when we get back to the base!"
"Awww Vandy!" Prism said with a smile, "I'd definitely like that!" She soon turned to her Familiars, "Don't you guys think it's cool? And I have my first photo thanks to Asta!"
"Uhh… I guess." Brenin said.
"I don't really get it but okay!" Saorise said.
"I-guess it's alright." Liam said.
"You win this round you little curse box-" Theodore said as he glared at the camera, "-You little harbinger of souls."
Addeline just pulled Theodore back as she said, "Quack Quack, Quack Quack."
"I WILL NOT BE SILENT!" Theodore shouted.
Pluck said as he shook his head, "Did we really have to keep you?"
"Come on girl!" Jubei said as she hopped onto her back, "Let's go and put that camera to good use!"
"I don't see why not!" Prism said with a smile. Though before they could proceed with their activity, there was a knock on the… Window?
"Huh?" Prism said oddly before she looked at the window. They were a bit taken back when they noticed it had been a hawk sitting at the window sill, as it appeared to have red feathers and golden eyes. It appeared to have a brown bag attached to its back with dark gray straps.
"It's a giraffe!" Theodore exclaimed as he got a bonk from Addeline.
"A hawk?" Asta said.
"Odd-" Prism said as she opened the window, allowing the hawk to fly on her shoulder, "-What are you doing here?"
Niwa's eyes shifted before he got in position ready to attack. "CAW-CAW!" Niwa yelled suddenly before charging. Pluck immediately acted and grabbed him as he shrieked. "NIWA NO! DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER!"
"Messenger?" Prism said.
"Yeah, it's a messenger hawk." Aisling said, "We've seen them all the time along with the owls around here."
"Though it's kind of rare to see one-" Aidan said, "-Only some of the royal families have them."
"I wonder who it could be from." Sachiko said.
"Probably from one of the other Captains, seeing as how they're the only ones that know we're in this safehouse." Karasu said.
The hawk soon let out a caw, as Brenin, Liam and Saorise understood. "What's he saying?" Asta asked.
"Stand by Asta-" Saorise said, "-Our hawk is a little rusty."
"How rusty?" Feodora asked.
"Umm, I would say this rusty." Liam said as his fingers were touching each other.
"Your fingers are touching?!" Noelle exclaimed out of shock.
"Cut us some slack woman, we were trapped in a dungeon for the last five hundred years!" Liam yelled.
"Nero-" Brenin said to Nero who had been sitting on Asta's head the whole time, "-Would you mind helping us with the translation?"
Nero tweeted as she moved from Asta's head to Brenin's shoulder. The hawk started to speak while Nero repeated what he was saying to the Familiars.
"Wait-" Karasu said, "-Nero can tell what he's saying too?"
"Well as far as we're told it's common for all birds to understand each other, whether they're a sparrow or an eagle." Aine said.
"Can the same thing be said for Addeline?" Noelle asked.
"QUACK! QUACK QUACK!" Addeline said.
Pluck told her as he patted her head, "It's okay, Addi. She's just ignorant that you can understand any kind of bird."
Addeline had a compet smile as she nuzzled on Pluck's face as she said "Quack Quack." She looked at Noelle as she had had a smug look much to her shock.
"What is that duck's deal?!" Noelle asked.
"That's true-" Liam said before he had a smug look, "-But you have YET to understand a turkey."
Addeline flinched before she waved her stick at Liam before shouting "QUACK! QUACK QUACK QUACK!"
"Language!" Saorise scolded her as it made her flinch.
Brenin soon heaved a sigh, "The hawk's name is Talon. He said he's a carrier hawk from the Vermillion household."
The teens looked a bit shocked at this. "Vermillion?" Prism said, "You mean Fugeleon's family?"
"Seems that way." Saorise replied, "Someone from the Vermillion family sent you a letter, in his bag carrier there."
Prism looked to the carrier as she managed to get the message-A scroll was what it seemed like, as it had been embedded with the Vermillion family seal.
"I wonder if it really is from Fugeleon." Prism said, "Maybe he has news on the progression of Ashtown."
"Maybe…" Karasu said as his look softened a little just at the mentioning of the name.
"Well open it, see what it says." Asta said.
Prism nodded and went to do just that; she undid the seal before unrolling it and reading the contents. "What does it say?" Feodora asked.
"It says-" Prism started to read, "-To Prism, I've heard about your recent problem and I wish to put you to the test. Come to the Vermillion household this afternoon so I can see your strength for myself. Just show the family emblem to the servants, and they'll do the rest. Signed-Mereoleona?"
The Triple A's, Pluck and even Noelle froze at that name. Yami in the other room even spat out what he was drinking, as Acer nearly dropped his glass in surprise.
"Oh?" Nolan said, as he peeked in the room, "Mereo sent you a letter Trouble Monkey?"
"Yeah." Prism said as she handed it to Nolan, "It's signed and everything."
"Well how about that?" Nolan said with a chuckle, "Never thought she would take the time."
"Aww, she sounds lovely!" Theodore said with eyes that of pink
"Well guys let's go, you guys have to study right?" Pluck soon said, sounding oddly nervous.
"Oh yeah! Big review!" Aine added.
"We should get a head start!" Aidan added.
"The earlier the better!" Aisling added, before she and the others left the room at a fast pace, "We'll see you guys later, kay bye!"
The siblings were making their way out which took them back. "What's the matter with them?" Karasu asked.
"Never seen that before." Sachiko said.
Yami soon came stomping into the room, as they were taken back by how distressed he looked. "Captain Yami?" Asta said, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine-" Yami said, "-Let me see that letter!" He soon swiped the letter from Nolan as he read the contents. Prism had been taken back when he put his hand on her shoulder, "Well, I know it's only been a short while, but it's been nice knowing you, Lizard Girl."
"Huh?" Prism said confused.
"KEKE-You're shaking in your pants are you?" Jack asked.
"Shut up, Beanpole." Yami said with a glare as he had gotten his look back.
"Well that was fast." Liam said.
"Huh-That's weird." Feodora said, "I've never seen him shaken up like that before."
"Yeah-" Sachiko said, "-Weird. Vandy, Jubei, do you know why he's-Oh…"
The group had been taken back as they saw Jubei and Vandy holding onto each other for dear life. "Never again-" Vandy said, "-Never again."
"I've seen things." Jubei said, "Terrible things whenever I'm with that woman!"
"KEKE-You're being dramatic." Jack said.
"Yeah, come on kids, she's not that scary." Nolan said as he gave Vandy and Jubei a pat on the head.
Acer told him, "Easy for you to say man, you're practically sleeping in the lion's den!"
"The wha-?" Prism said confused as the spirits looked confused.
"You sleep with a lion?" Theodore said, "How daring!"
"I-Don't think that's what he meant." Saorise said awkwardly.
"Sleeping in the what…?" Asta said, confused.
"It's not literal." Brenin said.
"Okay I'm gonna be the one to ask-" Karasu said, "-Why the hell are you all freaking out?"
"Ah well-" Nolan said, "-I wanted to surprise Prism with this but, now's as good a time as any."
"Surprise me?" Prism said as she tilted her head, "Surprise me with what?"
"What are you going on about old man?" Liam asked.
"And-" Brenin said, before he sniffed the air, "-Why do I smell excitement?"
"YOU CAN SMELL THAT?!" Asta exclaimed.
"HOW?!" Feodora shouted.
"Do you two really want to ask that?" Karasu asked.
Nolan chuckled before he told Prism, "Well, you know how in Airedale, your mother tried to fix me up with all the bachelorettes and single women with every chance she got?"
Prism, and the Familiars thought about it for a moment before they recalled. "That's right she did try to do that." Brenin said.
"Yeah, she was worried you were gonna end up alone." Saorise said.
"She even roped in Gooden to help out." Liam said.
"Did I hear my name?!" Gooden said as she suddenly emerged from the other room.
"Why bring that up Uncle?" Prism asked.
"Well-" Nolan said, "-Turns out after a few centuries, I actually found the woman for me. And-She's a human."
Prism looked confused before she looked at the letter. Immediately her eyes sparkled as she started to squee, while the spirits turned into bright colors. Brenin, Saorise and Liam immediately realized what he was talking about and Saorise started to squee.
"Uh-What's happening?" Karasu said.
"Why is she making that noise?!" Feodora said before she pointed to Saorise, "Why are you making that noise?!"
"Pri what happened?!" Asta said, "Are you broken?!"
"I think she's having a stroke." Theodore said in a monotone voice.
"YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND UNCLE NOLAN!?" Prism shouted in excitement as it took them back, "THIS MEROLEONA PERSON IS YOUR GIRLFRIEND?!"
"NOLAN THAT'S AMAZING!" Saorise exclaimed as she took Prism's hands, "CONGRATULATIONS!"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, time out here!" Sachiko said, "Prism-neechan, your uncle is actually dating someone from the Vermillion household?!"
"Do you realize how insane that sounds?!" Karasu said.
"Uh-Is she important?" Asta asked.
"Dum-Dum, the Vermillion family is of Noble Stature like Noelle's family." Feodora said, "Their estate is where the Wizard King AND King lives!"
"SERIOUSLY?!" Asta exclaimed in awe.
Nolan gave a laugh, "We had a bit of a rough start when we first met, but it's true. Your old uncle is dating someone of noble stature, Trouble Monkey."
"In that case, I gotta meet her then!" Prism said, as she looked excited, "She could be my potential Aunt!"
Nolan immediately turned red at this, "Uh-Let's not rush things sweetie."
"Seriously-" Karasu said, "-Who in the hell is this Mereoleona?"
Yami groaned as he said, "How do I put this?"
"SHE'S A FEROCIOUS BEAST WHICH CANNOT BE TAMED!" Vandy said as he had a disturbed look on his face.
"I EVEN HEARD SHE KILLED A MAN." Jubei added as she looked just as disturbed.
"That doesn't help." Feodora said as she had been unphased by their behavior.
William explained, "She's the older sister of Captain Fuegoleon of the Crimson Lions. Her magic is even the same as their siblings. Though she's of morality, she doesn't like the standard so she usually trains in the forest."
"SEE?! EVEN UNCLE WILLAIM SAYS SHE'S A BEAST!" Vandy exclaimed.
"Fugeleon has an older sister?" Prism asked.
"And a little brother!" Jubei said, "Though, he doesn't scare me at all. His sister does every everytime I see her." She soon had the disturbed look again, "I SORT OF LOOK FORWARD TO IT NOW."
Theodore chuckled, "You're funny!"
"Are you sure you guys are okay?" Asta asked Vandy, Jubei and Noelle.
Noelle said as she had a sheepish smile, "Ye-Yes… And… Everything they just said is all true."
"Hold on, you're nervous?" Saorise said.
"Why?" Liam asked, "It's not like you know her."
Noelle flinched before she said as she started to sweat, "Well-I-Well it's just-" She soon cleared her throat, before regaining her composure, "Of course I would know her. Our Silva Family Estate and Vermillions are practically neighbors, you know?"
"Well you don't have to boast about it…" Brenin said.
"How about you come with me then Noelle?" Prism asked as Noelle flinched slightly, "You didn't have your chance to well-Bodyguard me yet, and you might have the chance to see your cousin again."
"Oh no, I REALLY don't think-" Noelle started to say before she was cut off.
"Actually that's a good idea." Yami said. "You can go with Lizard Girl, Noelle."
Soon enough Pluck came rushing down the stairs as he had a look of shock. "YOU'RE GONNA LET HER TAKE THE JOB?!" He shouted, "NOT WHILE I'M HERE!"
"Oh you're back." Yami said nonchalantly.
"Little man, just let Pri hang out with Noelle." Acer said. "It's not like she's gonna steal her from you or anything."
Pluck blushed before he exclaimed. "UNCLE! THAT'S NOT WHY I'M WORRIED!"
"You know what." Yami said. "You're coming too, Pluck."
Pluck exclaimed as he said. "EHH?! WITH THE STUPID SILVA TOO?!"
"Actually, that might not be the best idea, no offense to ya Pluck." Nolan said.
"See?!" Pluck exclaimed.
"Something tells me Mero hasn't forgiven Pluck here about that whole-Misunderstanding we had a year ago." He added.
"Exactly my-Wait what?!" Pluck said, shocked.
"What sort of misunderstanding is he talking about?" Asta asked.
"Well let's just say after a few certain events before we took our centuries nap-" Gooden said before she cleared her throat, "-We all thought they were gonna harvest our mana. And Pluck may or may not have tried to well-Use his sword to explode Meroleona."
Asta, Feodora, Karasu, Sachiko, Noelle, and Prism especially had a look of shock as they turned to Pluck who was already sweating.
Theodore snickered as his eyes turned green, "You were gonna commit murder~!" He said in a teasing tone of voice.
Pluck just gave him a look and used his gum sword to cover his mouth, causing him to shriek. "Plu-Plu, don't do that to Theo!" Prism said in a scolding manner before she got it off, "He's still a baby!"
"I'm like an ant in this cruel world." Theodore said in a monotone voice.
"But for real though-" Vandy said, "-Did you just-Forget that?"
Pluck told his little brother, "Bro, you fired a stink bomb at Yami when we first met them!"
Vandy soon said with a forced smile, "And I'm STILL paying off for my sin!"
"And counting till you're 18." Yami said as Vandy had a chill as he gulped while his smile fell from his face.
"Look, you gotta have at least an adult to supervise my niece here." Nolan said, "Why don't I accompany the girls to the Vermillion household?"
Acer rolled his eyes as he said "Well, He's gonna go in the lion's den again. Try not to get eaten, Nolan"
"I should be the one saying that to you Ace, since you're going to the club again today." Nolan told him smugly.
Acer flinched as he said "Dude, I wasn't about to go to the club today!"
"Sure." Nolan said in a sarcastic tone.
Acer soon paled when he saw Gooden had a look with her raised eyebrow.
"I don't see the harm in that." William said, "But I would strongly advise to have at least one of us guard her highness. I know you're more than capable of taking care of her, but we do have our orders."
Nolan sighed as he gave it a quick thought, "Fair enough hotshot."
Asta soon looked confused, "Wait a minute-Which Captain is on duty today?"
-Later that Afternoon-
The next thing Prism knew, she found herself standing at the front door of the Vermillion household; cloaked in all as the spirits hid in the safety of her hood. She couldn't help but note its size, as it had been huge. It hadn't been as large as the castle itself but it was still pretty big.
"Bi-Bime i elena-" She said in awe.
Theodore, who had been hanging out in her pouch, peeked his head out as she could feel his tail wag in the bag.
"Oooo!" Theodore said in awe as his eyes had been pink, "It looks so nice! Maybe my master lived in a place like this!" His eyes soon shifted to blue, "Wait… Did my master even have a house?"
"Welcome to the Vermillion Household Trouble Monkey!" Nolan said as he had been wearing his normal attire, with his cloaking item on, which had been in the form of bracelets making his hair red, "If you think it looks large out here, wait till you take a look inside."
Prism's eyes sparkled, as she couldn't help but let out an excited noise.
"No offense, but we're not exactly here on a tour." Noelle said as Prism noticed her legs had been shaking.
"I can't help it, Noelle!" Prism said as she hopped in place, "I mean, when was the last time you and I actually hung out like this?"
"Technically I'm working." Noelle said, "Apparently." She soon turned red as she turned her head to the side, "But yes-I guess it is okay." She soon had a thought, "Finally I'll show that Stupid Barbados that I'm better then anyone at this job!"
"Hey Silva-"
Noelle flinched before she looked over to the Familiars, as they had been wearing their clothes provided by the Wizard King plus their cloaking items.
"If you try ANYTHING to upset Prism, I'll kill you myself." Liam said.
"He doesn't mean that!" Saorise said, "We're glad to have you with us Noelle!"
"What she said." Brenin added.
"Gee… Thanks." Noelle said with a look.
"Excuse me but-WHY AM I HERE?!"
Prism, Noelle and Nolan looked over as they saw Feodora was being carried under the arm, by the Captain that had been on duty to guard Prism that day.
This time-It was Jack.
"KEKE-Why else?" Jack told her. "I'm showing you a REAL lion, kitty cat!"
"Call me a kitty cat one more time, see what happens." Feodora growled.
Jack got his blades as he asked "KEKE-unless you wanna be put down instead?"
Feodora only groaned, "Oh-I see, we're doing death threats now. Geez, you sound like my Aunts whom I hate by the way."
Jack said as he held the blade closer to her, "KEKE-like I wanna hear your family sob story."
"Whoa, guys calm down!" Prism said as she got Jack to let go and helped Feodora to stand, "Everything's chill, remember?"
"Right-Chill." Feodora said as she fixed herself, "So long as the beanstalk doesn't try to murder me again, I'll be fine."
Jack added, "Only if you don't piss me off, cat!"
"Come on, let's head on in, shall we?" Nolan said as he gently pushed Prism in the direction of the residence. Prism took a deep breath before she knocked on the door. The moment she did, the door soon opened revealing a young maid; she looked over Prism in particular.
"Good afternoon." The servant said as she bowed her head, "To whom am I addressing?"
Prism couldn't help but gulp as she couldn't help but fidget slightly. "This is the part where you say something back hon." Nolan said as he gave her a nudge.
Prism soon cleared her throat, "I'm-Primrose Vera. I'm here to see a Meroleona. I uh-Have the emblem she gave in her letter." She soon took out the emblem and showed it to the servant. She soon smiled again.
"We've been expecting you-" She said, "-Right this way ma'am."
The servant showed them inside as Prism as the others followed close behind. She had been in sheer awe by the sight of the household as she had been taken back by the structure. It had been much larger in size compared to when she had visited the Golden Dawn. The marble floor had taken her and the Familiars back as with each step they took, they could hear the sound of their shoes echo throughout the halls.
She noticed many of the servants at work, taking care and cleaning the polishing the artifacts in the halls as well as vases.
"I don't like the scent in this place." Liam said as he spoke softly, "It reeks of pigs in here."
"It does remind me of the people in your grandfather's court." Brenin said softly as the look on Prism's face changed.
"Well They are royalty." Noelle told them, "Though I'll have to disagree with you about the smell."
"Even I have to admit, the smell in here is making me stuffy." Saorise said, "Hope we're not in here for too long."
"I can see another me in that square thing-" Theodore said as he looked to a mirror while squinting, "-His eyes are too close together."
"That's just your reflection Theo." Prism said with a giggle.
"THE REFLECTION WILL FEEL MY-" Theodore started to shout as his eyes were green, before his muzzle was covered by Noelle.
"Okay you, that's enough." Noelle said.
Feodora only shuddered, as she looked around, "Being in this place is giving me all sorts of unwanted memories."
"Are-You sure you're okay Feo?" Prism asked.
"Yeah I'll be fine." She replied, "Sorry, I'm just getting goosebumps all over for just being here."
Jack told her as he hit her on the back, "KEKE-Buck up, kitty cat! You're in the den of the real king of the beasts now!"
"I swear, call me that name again-" Feodora said with a glare.
"Now, now, you two." Nolan said, "Can't you both get along for one day?"
Feodora and Jack both clicked their tongues as they turned their heads away from one another. Prism only had a sheepish look, as she couldn't help but have a thought. "I really hope nothing bad happens today."
It hadn't been long before the servant had stopped at a certain room. "Please wait in here." She said, "My master will be with you shortly."
"Sounds good." Prism said.
"I'm hungry!" Theodore whined as the servant jumped slightly at the sight of him.
"Oh, sorry-" Prism said, "-He's uh-Well-My pe-I mean frie-I mean-My personal-"
Nolan soon stepped in and took the reins, "I think what Primrose here means to say is, we could all do for a little snack. Would that be possible, if you don't mind?"
"O-Oh of course." The servant before she opened the doors, "If you will please step inside."
The group had soon been taken back by the sound of growls; they each looked inside as they noticed a set of eyes that shined in the room. "What the hell is-" Feodora started to say before-
ROAR!
The group were a bit taken back as all of a sudden a large feline jumped Prism as it made them freeze. Though most had calmed as Prism started to let out a series of giggles as the lion rubbed its head against her cheeks as it started to purr.
"A lion!?" Brenin said, shocked.
"LI-LION!" Feodora exclaimed out of shock, "THAT'S A GODDAMN LION!"
"Sto-Stop that tickles!" Prism said between her laughs.
"Aww!" Saorise said as her eyes sparkled, "He's SO cute! And what a handsome lion too!"
"Right, I kind of forgot about Simba here." Nolan said, "This is the Vermillion's family lion, he likes to roam when people like us aren't visiting."
"WHAT KIND OF AN INSANE FAMILY KEEPS A LION?!" Feodora shouted.
"I feel like you answered your own question." Brenin said awkwardly.
Prism laughed as she sat up, while adjusting her red scarf around her head, "Hey there Simba." She said as she scratched his cheek, which he leaned in for the touch, "Aww, your mane is so soft." The lion-Simba soon started to lick her cheek as she laughed.
"Aww he's eating your face!" Theodore said as his eyes were pink; though his eyes shifted to blue, "That's just precious."
"Tha-That's amazing!" The young servant said, "Simba is usually more aggressive towards new people! I thought for sure he was in the other room."
Noelle said with a shrug, "S-she was only lucky that's all."
"What can I say? She's got a thing for animals." Nolan said.
Jack had added, "KEKE-No surprise there!"
The servant soon cleared her throat, "Now, come. If you please wait here for Meroleona."
"Of course." Nolan said, as he helped Prism up, "And the refreshments-"
"I'll have someone bring it to you sir." The servant said with a kind smile. The group proceeded inside as they had made themselves comfortable. The office had been large complete with a few lounge chairs and couches. There had been a large view with a clear view of the capital just outside.
"Oh my gosh-" Saorise said, "-This view is incredible!"
"This is the best view of the whole capital!" Theodore said as his had been pink and he had been wagging his tail, "I could stay up here forever!"
"It still reeks here." Liam said with a growl.
"Liam, just be on your best behavior." Brenin said, "From the way Yami reacted, she sounds way scarier then Zeid and Alma were."
Liam only grunted at this as he looked around the room. "Is this really her office?" Feodora said, "What the hell happened to her desk?"
"Probably broke." Nolan said.
"KEKE-Wouldn't be the first time." Jack said as it only made Feodora a bit more confused.
"Whoa-" Prism said as she looked around, "-I don't know who this Meroleona is, but she's very decorative! And very well organized!" She soon noticed a photo in particular. Though she had seen plenty of photos of her family this one in particular struck out the most. It had been a woman that looked almost like Noelle, though something about her was different as far as she could tell.
It was her smile. The smile she had on her face was what had set her off.
"This person…" Prism soon said as she picked up the photo, "... Is Acier?"
Noelle flinched as she turned to her with a shocked look. "What did you just say?" She asked.
Prism soon turned to Noelle as she smiled, "This person-your mother. Acier is her name, right?"
Noelle's expression softened slightly, "Ye-Yeah, but, how do you know that name?"
"Nozel." Prism replied, "He talks about her sometimes. Though, when I was in his office for lessons, he didn't have a picture of her. I found it… Really lonely."
Noelle turned her head as Prism noticed her look softened, Feodora soon went to her side as she looked at the photo. "Damn-Talk about a family resemblance." Feodora said, "She looks so much like you it's almost scary."
"She's so pretty!" Saorise said, "And really cute!"
"Ooo!" Theodore said as he crawled up on Prism's shoulder; the spirits gathered around her shoulders and the frame, "It's almost like you were cloned!"
"O-Oh R-really?" Noelle said nervously.
"Hey-" Brenin soon said as he looked at the photo and Prism, "-How did you know she wasn't her sister?"
"Her eyes and smile." Prism replied as it seemed to have shocked Noelle. Noelle soon noticed the warm smile on her face, "She may look the same as the others, but-Those features they say they're really kind and gentle. I know because mom is the same."
"And here Stuck Up says all Silvas are ugly as they are bad." Feodora said before it morphed into a devious smile. "I wonder if I can get a copy to rub it in his face."
"That sounds mean-" Theodore said before his eyes shifted to green, "-COUNT ME IN!"
Jack told her, "KEKE-No Souvenirs!"
"Boo!" Theodore said.
Soon the door slammed as the group jumped at the sound and sight of the door flying across the room and out the window. They turned to see a tall woman with long red hair, blue eyes, a long nose and a fang shown on her mouth. She appeared to be wearing a white blouse with blue pants and a red cape similar to Fuegoleon's.
"So-Which one of you is Prism?" The woman said.
The group looked a bit terrified as Prism immediately hid behind her uncle.
"Mereo!" Nolan said with a smile, "Been too long babe!"
The woman-Mereoloena looked at Nolan as she said "Oh Nolan!" Much to their shock she hurled her punch only for Nolan to catch it. "Nice to see you again."
"Nice to see you too dear." Nolan added as he put her in a headlock just as Prism ran behind Jack.
"Wha-What are they doing?" Feodora said as they continued to attempt to punch each other.
"I have no clue…" Brenin said, shocked.
"Is… This what adults call flirting?" Saorise asked as her ears twitched.
"I have no idea…" Liam replied.
"KEKE-Hey hey! There are kids here, mind you!" Jack told them. "Save it for when you two are in bed!"
"HUH?!" Prism and the Familiars exclaimed while Theodore only squeaked.
"WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN?!" Feodora shouted as her face was red
Noelle soon said to the lady-Mereoleona as she had a nervous smile, "H-hello, Mereoloena-It's uh-Been awhile."
Mereoleona noticed Noelle after she managed to pin Nolan's arm behind his back. "Oh Noelle! Long time no see! How are you doing so far? Are your new squadmates giving you trouble?"
"Uhh-Well-" Noelle said.
"The only one that gives her trouble is that Stuck-Up Sword Boy. All because she's a Silva." Feodora said as she regained herself, "That's about it really."
"Stuck Up Sword Boy?" Mereoelona asked before she laughed. "Oh Right! Pluck Barbados! I take it he's still not over that silly 500 year grudge he and the Silvas had!"
"Wait, you think it's silly too?" Brenin said, shocked.
"I thought we were the only ones!" Saorise said, astonished.
Mereolona told her "hey if that Pluck is bothering you, let me know. I'll set him straight."
Noelle repiled, "R-right."
"Mero-This here is one of the new recruits." Nolan said as he gestured to Feodora, "Meet the new member of the Black Bulls-"
"I know EXACTLY who this one is." Meroleona said as she looked to Feodora in particular, "This is the girl from that Assasin Family from the Diamond Kingdom. The Helmet Family."
"I'll admit you surprised me with that entrance-" Feodora said, "-But I've seen scarier things with my bastard grandfather. So just a heads up, DON'T call me a royal."
"Huh a tough one huh?" Mereoleona said with a smirk.
"As far as I'm told." Nolan said, "And anyway this who you're se-Where did she go?" The minute Nolan turned around to where Prism was standing he saw she was no longer there anymore. Instead he noticed she ran behind Jack as they could see some of the Spirits floating around him.
"Oh there she is." Nolan said, "Jack, would you mind-?"
"KEKE-of course" Jack said before he took Prism by the neck of her shirt. He pulled her out from behind him as her red scarf fell off her head, revealing the small points on her ears.
"This is the Princess and my niece I've been telling you about." Nolan said with a smile as he got Jack to let go of her before setting her on the ground in front of him, "Prism Aurora Clover."
"H-Hey…" Prism said as her body shook while she waved.
"So you're the daughter of the King that was named, Knight of Shadows?" Meroleona said, "You're a bit smaller then I pictured you to be, little shrimp."
Prism only laughed sheepishly at this, "I-I was told that was one of the side effects of me being half of a human and half of an elf."
Meroleona stepped to Prism as she couldn't help but shrink slightly. She was a bit surprised when she felt Meroleona take hold of her face as she appeared to be examining her.
"I can't sense any mana, but then again this is interesting!" Mereoleona said with a smile.
"Um-" Prism said despite her cheeks being mushed, "- I want to say thanks?"
"And these three-" Nolan said as he brought Brenin, Liam and Saorise in front of him, "-Are Prism's Familiars. They've been together since they were children."
Meroleona turned over to them as they flinched. "Right-The Shifters. Didn't think I would see people like you in this lifetime."
"Um-Hi." Saorise said with a friendly smile, "It's uh-Nice to meet you."
"Are you supposed to be a lamb?" Meroleona asked.
"I shift into a ram actually." She corrected nervously
"Huh,even better." Mereoleona said she turned to Liam and Brenin as she asked "are you two supposed to be dogs?"
"I'm the dog-" Brenin said, before he gestured to Liam, "-He's actually a cross between a wolf and a deer."
"Oh?" Mereoloan said she began to examine Liam. "Interesting. What sort of magic do you have on you?"
"Do I really have to show you?" Liam asked with a sneer.
"A feisty one are you?" Mereoleona asked.
Liam only growled at her as Prism quickly went to calm him down, "I'll show you feisty you damn roach."
"Sorry, he's not entirely used to humans." Noelle soon said.
Meroleona only smiled at this sort of thing , "Heh, well he's never seen a human like me before."
"Well, now that everyone is introduced-" Nolan said, "-I'm surprised you want to get involved in this sort of thing. Usually you don't meddle in the business of Magic Knights."
Meroleona replied, "I don't. But I'll make this a special case considering this shrimp is the real ruler of the kingdom."
Most of the teens looked shocked by this sort of thing. "You're-Not a Magic Knight?" Feodora said, stunned.
"Really?" Brenin said, shocked.
"But Uncle Nolan and Jack told me you're one of the strongest in Clover." Prism said, as the spirits shifted to a curious yellow, "I thought you would be beside your brother Mr. Fugeleon."
"First of all, don't address my brother as Mister-" Meroleona told her, "-The last thing I want is people comparing me to that stuck up. Second, the way things roll in the Magic Knights, I'd rather not involve myself in their trivial affairs."
"Trivial?" Prism said confused before she regained herself, "But you use your Magic to protect people right? Wouldn't you benefit from being a Knight to help everyone?"
Meroleona only chuckled before patting her on the back, "You'll know when you get older eventually."
Jack soon told her, "KEKE-get to it woman! We're on a tight schedule!"
"Yeah yeah-" Meroleona said, "-I was getting to that. I read the report on your most recent problem. This strength of yours, has it been coming frequently?"
Prism soon regained herself, "Well I wouldn't exactly say frequent. It's sort of been on and off the past few months."
"Because of the beast in your body?" She asked, pointing to her chest.
"You mean Aurora?" Prism said as she placed her hand over chest, "I guess-But she and I have come to an understanding just a short while ago. Turns out she's just as new to it as I am. She's not used to the strength either since she's still a baby."
"So you need my help to tame the beast inside of you." Mereoleona said.
Prism flinched at the word, "I guess, she and I need help controlling the strength. Neither of us are looking to tame each other."
"Look, you have any idea at all on how she could control this or what?" Feodora asked.
"Heh, you know who you're talking to, Helmet Girl?" Mereoleona asked.
"I know I'm talking to a hard head." Feodora mumbled which made most of them jump.
"Ooooh snap!" Theodore said as his eyes were green.
Feodora soon found herself sweating before she felt a lion hand on her head. "Well this feels familiar-" Feodora said before she was lifted up. She saw that it was a flaming lion paw and Mereolona had an angry smile.
"A hard head, huh?" Meroleona asked, "You're as stubborn as they come, aren't you?"
"I mean-" Feodora soon said calmly as she took a deep breath. Her ice gauntlets soon manifested before she grabbed ahold of the lion's paw letting it steam. In almost an instant, the lion's paw had been encased in a block of ice as she managed to free herself.
She stretched and cracked her neck, "-That's what's kept me alive."
"Bime i elena!" Prism said in awe, "How did you do that?!"
"Ice Magic?" Meroleona thought, before she spoke up, "I see. So this is why they dragged someone like you out here to meet me."
Feodora only groaned as she dragged her hands down her face, "This again?"
Jack only told Feodora, "KEKE-Like i told you, kitty cat. You're in the REAL lion's den."
"A Lion? Her?" Feodora said, "Look Pri's the one you should be helping, not me! How many times do I gotta tell you people?"
"Feo-" Prism said worryingly.
Meroleona told her, "Sounds like you need help more than the shrimp."
Feodora flinched before she growled, "Normally this would be the part I would punch someone, mainly you-But for Pri's sake, I'm gonna hold off on that."
Meroleona told her as she smiled, "As if your ice can defeat my flames in combat-" She soon turned back to Prism, "-Though I'll worry about that later. For now, I need to see exactly what I'm working with."
"I could try arm wrestling again." Prism said
"I actually have a better idea." Mereoeloen said as it confused the group especially from Prism.
Prism had been taken back by the sheer size of the room they had moved to. She could see various tools and dumbbells around, and what looked to be benches with weights as far as she could see. Her eyes sparkled just at the sheer size of it as even the Spirits seemed to have played around with the tools and weights.
"Bime i elena-" Prism said shocked, "-What is this place?"
"It's a Gym." Feodora replied as she had her hands behind her head, "People use this place to maintain their shape, lose some weight or gain muscles. We've got one inside the base. Cept it's a bit smaller compared to this."
"I thought Magna called it the weight room." Prism said confused.
"Close enough." She said.
"Okay we'll start you off with this one." Mereoleona said as she pointed to what appears to be a sandbag
"A bag of sand?" Prism said.
"I don't get it." Brenin said.
"Wait, have you never seen a punching bag?" Noelle said.
"A punching what?" Prism, and the Familiars said confused.
"Is Elven culture really THAT different?" Feodora said awkwardly.
"Well it's simple." Mereoleona said. "Just punch the bag, it tests how strong your punches are."
"What's the point in that when you can actually punch someone?" Liam asked which earned him a look from the others. "What?!" He said, "I'm just saying!"
"Next time keep your thoughts to yourself." Nolan told him.
Jack added, "KEKE-before I sew up your mouth!"
Liam only growled at this sort of thing before Prism scratched his ears as it seemed to have calmed him down. "So-What exactly do you want me to do with this-" Prism started to say as she poked it a little, "-Bag of sand?"
Meroleona replied, "Simple, Punch it."
Prism only looked confused by this sort of thing, "That's it? Really?"
"Yeah-" Meroleona replied, "-I want you to punch it as hard as you can, like you're giving the Stuck Up Barbados what's coming to him."
"Aww, she's telling you to punch your best friend!" Theodore said before he had a monotone voice, "That's nice!"
"Why would I want to punch Plu-Plu?" Prism said.
Noelle rolled her eyes as she said "That Barbados deserves it in more ways than one."
"Uhhh-" Prism said, confused.
"Maybe we should go for something more her speed." Nolan said, "Prism? How about you pretend you're sparring with your dad like the good old days?"
"But you know I suck at hand to hand." Prism said.
"Don't worry, it's just one little punch." Liam said, "Just do like I've been showing you."
"And remember to follow the tips from Asta." Feodora added.
Prism nodded at this before she turned to the punching bag. She took a deep breath before she got into a stance as she readied both of her fists. She soon threw a punch but was a bit weak as it barely managed to move the bag.
"What the hell was that?!" Jack said.
"Huh-" Prism said, "-I honestly thought it would be stronger than that."
Meroleona soon noticed the veins in her arms glow for only a moment before it stopped. She soon smirked, "Why don't you try again? A little harder."
"Uh okay." Prism said. She took a deep breath before punching it again.
"How's tha-"
SMACK!
The next thing Prism knew, she found herself flying across the room when the punching bag had swung back hard and fast, shocking the Familiars, Feodora and Noelle. She went tumbling across the floor as she nearly hit the wall.
"HOLY APPLE CAKES!" Feodora shouted.
"PRISM!" Brenin, Saorise and Liam exclaimed with worry.
"I-Is she o-okay?!" Noelle asked.
"ow...Why am I seeing little Adriens?" Prism said in a daze, as the Spirits started to tend to her, "Oh-The pink elephants are back…"
"OH NO! SHE'S SEEING THINGS!" Saorise exclaimed.
"GET WATER!" Liam shouted, "OR ICE! OR ANYTHING!"
In her mind Noelle could only think, "And i thought that stupid Barbados is a worrywart!"
"Huh-" Nolan said stunned, "-Can't say I was expecting that."
Jack had said with the click of his tongue, "She got knocked off her feet from one little punch?"
Mereoloena couldn't help but laugh, "I see, so that's what I have to work with."
Prism soon recovered from the punch as she shook herself out with a groan, "What was that?! I didn't even punch that hard."
"Looks like it came from the beast inside you." Mereoloen said, "I knew you said it was random, but I didn't expect it to be like this."
"I guess-" Prism said as she stood up. Suddenly she felt a rush of energy go through her, as it felt as though her body was burning. She collapsed to her knees as it had startled the Familiars, Feodora and Noelle.
"Prism!" Feodora exclaimed with worry, "What's wrong?!"
Brenin, Saorise, and Liam seemed to have tensed up as they could each feel her heart accelerate. "Prism-" Brenin said, "-That power-What is that?"
"I-" Prism said before groaning when she felt her body burning, as they could see her veins glow again, "-I think-It's from Aurora-All the mana she's been storing-!"
She couldn't finish as she let out a cry which startled them.
"What's happening?!" Noelle said.
"The mana-" Saorise said before groaning a little, "-Aurora released too much of it! It's burning her from the inside!"
"That symptom-" Nolan said, "-It can only mean one thing…"
"A mana overload!" Feodora said in realization.
"What do we do then?!" Theodore said worried.
"I-I don't know!" Liam replied, "We've never seen a mana overload on a person before!"
"KEKE-You all are clueless are ya?" Jack said which took most of them back.
"And I suppose you got an idea that involves cutting something, Mantis Freak?" Feodora said.
Jack lightly smacked her on the head as he said "KEKE--Not everything i do has to do with cutting, Cat girl!" Feodora only gave him a look as He soon told the group, "The only way to prevent a mana overload is to release it all at once!"
"But-Where am I supposed to-" Prism started to say before she cried out again, "-Release it to?! I don't-Want to blow anyone up!"
"Don't think, Lizard girl, just pick and go-KEKE!" Jack told her.
"Though-" Meroleona soon said, "-If you're that worried about hurting someone-" She soon turned over to Noelle, "-You think you can conjure up a sphere for the Princess?"
Noelle flinched as she said, "M-Me?!"
"You can do it right?" Meroleona asked.
"I-I-" Noelle said before she regained her posture, "Of course, I am royalty afterall."
"Can you even maintain one even with your wand?" Feodora said.
"I'm not sure-" Noelle replied, "-Most of the spells I conjured up were attack spells."
"Well lucky for you little lady-" Nolan said as he took out his own grimoire, which had an aqua cover with bubble insignias on it, "-I'm the most powerful water mage in Airedale."
Noelle's expression brightened before she nodded. Her own grimoire started to glow as she had gotten out her wand; they saw a sphere of water started to form though it didn't seem like it was going to hold for long as it looked like it had been ready to burst. That was until Nolan stepped forward and cracked his fingers.
His hand soon glowed a blue glow before he placed it on the sphere; It soon stopped wiggling which shocked her.
"Alright Trouble Monkey-" Nolan said to Prism, "-Go on and release the mana in here."
"Ar-Are you sure?" Prism asked worryingly.
"We'll be just fine, don't worry." He said, "Now hurry!"
Prism only groaned but managed to nod. She struggled to stand on her own two feet, as she nearly collapsed to the floor. "Prism!" Brenin exclaimed as he went to go and help her, but-
"Don't!" Feodora told him as he stopped, "If you end up touching her you'll end up burning from the inside out instead of the sphere!"
Prism was a bit taken back, as she noticed Feodora had a look of knowing, as the Familiars and even Noelle looked at her oddly. "You'd better listen to her." Meroleona soon said, "you really don't wanna experience the pain she's facing as well."
Brenin looked to Prism with worry, though she only gave him a nod and a smile of reassurance. Brenin only took a step back before Prism went over to the sphere of water.
"Just put your hand in it, and let it all out." Jack told her, "And whatever you do DON'T hold back-KEKE!"
"Ri-Right." Prism said before she looked to the sphere then to her hand.
She heaved a sigh, "Okay Aurora-" She thought, "-Here goes nothing!"
She thrusted her hand into the water sphere as it went through with a splash. In a matter of seconds the sphere of water had become alit as it grew a bit spastic. It hadn't been long before there was a-
BOOM!
Most had been taken back by a sudden blast as it blew some of the back into the wall and the equipment. Prism on the other hand looked to be unharmed as the glow along her veins soon vanished.
"Ow-" Nolan said as he fixed his hat, "-Honey, you alright?"
Prism let out a breath of relief as she clenched her hand, "I-Actually feel a lot better."
"KEKE-What did I tell ya?" Jack asked.
"Is everyone okay?" Prism asked as she noticed some of them were just recovering.
"That could've been worse." Liam said as he shook himself out.
"We're okay!" Saorise said, "Aside from the slight ring in our ear!"
"How about you? You don't feel like burning up?" Brenin asked.
"N-No, I'm actually relieved." Prism said, "And in a strange way, kind of lighter." She soon looked over to Noelle as she smiled, "Thank you so much, and I'm sorry if I ended up hurting you."
Noelle flinched before she said as she regained her composure, "Well I am Royalty after all." She soon thought internally, "Oh my gosh, the Princess praised me!"
"What does that have to do with anything?" Theodore asked as he cocked his head. Though it wasn't a second later he earned a bonk from Noelle.
Prism soon looked at her hands, "... I remember being able to do that during the dungeon mission when I-Had got angry..." She said as her expression softened a little, "...But something like that has never happened before. I know Aurora didn't mean to do it, but why did it have to happen at all?"
"That answer is simple-" Meroleona soon said as she had gotten her attention, "-It's because all you've been relying on to control all of that mana in your body was that weapon the Captain here has been showing you how to use."
"You mean my scythe?" Prism asked, "I was always taught a weapon was like an extension of your body."
"It is, to some extent." Mereolona added, "But to most-Our greatest strength comes from within. Without that-We would be weak to every predator."
Nolan gave a smile as he said "Gods, I love you, Babe."
"... Then-How am I supposed to control it?" Prism asked, "We're both new to this sort of thing."
"That's easy." Mereoleona said. "You and the beast have to tame that mana within yourselves. Once that's done-Then you will be able to use it whenever you desire. With a few practice runs with me, it'll be as easy as pie."
The look on Prism's face changed as she couldn't help but look nervous as she looked to her hands again. "If I can control it-Then I can use it to protect everyone if I ever lose my scythe." She thought, "With this kind of power-With Aurora's help-We can use it to protect everyone. But-"
All of a sudden an image seemed to have passed by in her head. For a brief moment she saw everyone around her at her feet; the world had been painted with red, as she could see in her hands her scythed had been bloodied. The look in Asta's eyes as he laid on the ground all bloodied and mangled as it only seemed to have set her mind further down into a spiral.
"-What happens if I fail?" She thought as her look had been more fearful, "-What happens if I can't do it? What happens-If everyone ends up getting killed-Because of me…? What happens if I'm not strong enough to save anyone?"
"Hey you there?" Mereoleona asked
The Familiars seemed to have understood as they stepped towards her before they each gave her a hug. Nolan only sighed as he shook his head, "This is the kind of thing my sister was trying to help her through. Think you might be able to pull it off Mereo?"
Mereoloeona only had a smirk as she smiled with her fang showing, "Have you met me, Nolan?" She soon stepped over to Prism as she flinched at the sound of her steps.
"Listen up shrimp-" Mereoleona said, "-Nolan often talked about how your own thoughts clouded your judgement and all logical thoughts. You could have a certain someone to blame later. But aside from that, it's not wrong to be smart about it. Being too smart however is a bad thing. What matters most is that you trust yourself and not let those thoughts get the better of you. You get what I'm saying?"
Prism had only a look of awe at this sort of thing; the familiars could sense her heart rate started to ease up. The thoughts she once had previously seemed to have faded away; though they still lingered she had been put more at ease.
"It really is the work of fate-" She thought as she smiled, as she looked at Feodora, Noelle, Meroleona, and Jack in particular, "-Being around them… Really does remind me of home." She soon took hold of her moon medallion, as she had removed it from underneath her shirt.
"Well what do you say shrimp?" Meroleona said, "You ready to get this started for real?"
She soon looked to Meroleona as she only asked one thing, "... Where do I start first?"
