The GreenRoom Part 1

Hiraku and the boys … now fully grown men thank you very much sat around the green room. Shinichi was on the floor with his teenaged dog, Tadao, who was lapping up all the attention. Tadao was confident ever since his puppy stage, nothing scared him, but most of his favourite humans were in the room, and his now extra long limbs hadn't made him stumble that much today. So Tadao, he was as happy as any dog could be.

Ever since Shinichi's girlfriend… well Fiancé without a ring had gotten pregnant, they had been fostering Tadao in order to see how they would do as parents. Shinichi was lucky enough that he could now bring the dog into work. Shinichi and his Fiancé's relationship was not going well, and currently they were taking a break to see if they did really want to get married and have a baby together. With only a week to go before the birth Shinichi was a bit more nervous than usual. But time had mellowed his personality, as had a lack of sleep.

Hiraku being the emphatic man that he was didn't ask if he was okay, but he let Shinichi come over more often than anyone would expect an engaged father to be. According to Hiraku's sister (who visited often to ask about Hiraku's dating life or lack there of) Shinichi's body had apparently made the sofa exceedingly comfortable, and less rigid. Hiraku and Shinichi often sat on the couch together in silence watching a movie, or playing games over a couple of beers. Somehow even though Yuusei was also his brother Hiraku felt more calm to Shinichi. Yuusei would be quiet and offer support when it came to it, but Yuusei in his own way had not lost his loudness, or his love for the glamour of the music scene.

Yuusie's career had taken off with a few singles, and limited supporting act performances all over Japan. So they had adapted the filming schedule to be more flexible to accommodate, but Shinichi was adamant that he was leaving for at least three months in order to support his Fiancé and the new baby. He didn't know if his career and pocket could take the full 12 months that was stipulated into law, particularly with so few Japanese men taking up the generous policy, but the Government was pushing "leaders", such as those in entertainment to take it, and Yuusie was slowly coming to the decision that his Fiancé and him were not suited, and they would be better parents apart. He did want to get married to make sure that his name was on the birth certificate, but maybe they could get married and live apart.

He didn't really know what to do. Somehow he wished he could find the answers in the greenroom. He was looking forward to Kyoko coming in today. His crush for her had mellowed out into a friendship based off a one sided admiration for her particularly when he found out about Ren, but he still thought of her as pretty close to perfect. He knew that her flaws and darkness came from a more complex place than most people, but she still felt like ray of sun on a cloudy day to him.

The inert atmosphere of the Greenroom was suddenly distrubed by the loud clear ringing of Hiraku's phone. Hiraku brightened slightly when the phone lit up with a picture of Kyoko is one of her stunt poses with ruffled hair and an alluring sheen of sweat and perfectly disheveled workout gear. It was a candid photo he had taken of Kyoko when she was practicing stunts on set on one of their few hang out times.

Hiraku picked up his phone and when he heard no voice from Kyoko he stared at the phone dumbfounded, and a small exasperated grin overcame his face.

He tried calling her back, and after going to voicemail for the third time he started to worry. This wasn't typical, and he knew she was on the way to the studio, but that she wasn't due until a bit later. He looked to the other men, and asked the others to call Kyoko, "Guys Kyoko called me, but then all I heard was the sound of the wind. When I called back I keep getting voicemail? Can you guys try, and I'll walk out. In case she needed help carrying food or something."

"If she doesn't answer in the next 10 minutes or I don't call you back, can one of you call Swarasan, and the other go to security?"

Yuusei, "She's not picking up. I think I'll go with you and keep calling. Shinichi, you start walking to security, and call Swarasan if you don't hear from us in 5 minutes"

Hiraku, "Hai ikimashou"
