Ms. Kelsey was incredibly thankful this week's session with Troi hadn't been canceled like last week was. But, unfortunately, she'd correctly guessed that Deanna had been sick, which is why she canceled.

Once they were settled, Ms. Kelsey gave Deanna several apples, which she was thankful for. Deanna then returned her books. Finally, they spent a few moments discussing the books she'd borrowed.

Ms. Kelsey gave her reasons why she wouldn't read some of the books in the series. Deanna agreed with her on several points. After that was settled, Ms. Kelsey asked what she was supposed to do if she couldn't get therapy or meds in the future.

She explained on the previous ship, she'd been on her therapist had been on maternity leave for several months, and they were no stand-in. So she didn't want a repeat of that. Ms. Kelsey already felt her mental health support wasn't efficient.

Ms. Kelsey then described why she'd brought up the troubles of finding trustworthy child care in her recent stories. Or the issues of those who were ablest. Deanna spoke about how she was proud that Ms. Kelsey brought attention to many problems.

Ms. Kelsey explained her recent stories were about issues she wished to discuss with others. Only she didn't have anyone to discuss these issues with, which is why she wrote about them. For example, she'd described how Christmas overshadows countless other holidays in the story she'd posted before coming in. So she wanted to make sure to bring that to people's attention.

She also began to describe some stories she'd heard online. They're all people asking the readers if they're jerks. While some seemed clear cut, Ms. Kelsey felt a few fell more into gray areas. She also said she didn't like people being called jerks for having normal human reactions.

Sometimes people give into being humans. Like having no time to deal with a child's tantrum or not a teenager not having space. She brought up how too many kids in the house were a problem. While also pointing out how several people didn't educate themselves on mental health issues. So they didn't understand neurodivergent individuals.

So she felt some weren't clear-cut at all. Plus, she'd been listening to these stories to learn to see shades of gray. So she wouldn't be so black and white herself. She was glad Deanna agreed that it was ridiculous that her four-year-old nephew refused to use the toilet. Ms. Kelsey said she understood others learn at different times.

However, she still felt this was enabled behavior and shouldn't be tolerated. That at four, its beyond ridiculous to still be wearing diapers. And if her younger sister didn't put her foot down? At this rate, he'd been in diapers by the time he was in first grade. So if they're disciplining one son for not doing his schoolwork, why weren't they firmer with their youngest's stubborn behavior?

Ms. Kelsey also admitted to feeling unintentionally pressured by people thinking she should be published or do fashion. She only drew what she thought real people would wear—furthermore, its extremely hard to come up with a genuinely original idea. Not to mention how much time, effort, and luck you need to get published. She liked the praise but not the pressure it caused.

She showed Deanna her latest sketchbook. Then they went over the rest of the year's appointments. Then Ms. Kelsey headed back to her quarters for lunch. And she was possibly visiting the indoor park located on the ship.
