I meant to update a few days ago...Sorry. I hope you enjoy!

"Annabeth?"

"Yeah"

"What do colors look like?" her voice was miserable.

"Oh Percy." Annabeth turned to face her from where they lay on the sand, "They are beautiful. I wish you could see them."

"Could you- Could you try to describe them?" requested Percy. Her hand fiddling with her necklace.

"I guess. Let's try blue. Blue is like the ocean. It comes in so many shades, like how the ocean changes. Some of the blues are soft, and the others harsh. Blueberries are blue y'know."

Percy nodded, "So, like what other things look blue?"

Annabeth contemplated the question for a minute.

"Umm. Well the sky is blue. The ocean is blue-ish. The shirt you're wearing is blue. It's like a soft blue. It's called baby blue. So it's very..light in color. Imagine you're feeling the pillow you sleep with. That's soft right? I imagine baby blue as a soft color."

Annabeth kept trying her best to answer Percy's questions and describe colors. It was a bit hard because colors were colors, they weren't..objects. You can't describe how they feel.

A soft snoring stopped Annabeth. She glanced at Percy. The unclaimed demigod was curled into a ball, eyes closed as she slept softly.

"Alright." Annabeth stood up. She walked over to Percy and picked her up bridal style.

She couldn't blame her for falling asleep. Chiron had pushed her hard during sword training. Plus, they had capture the flag tonight. Athena, Hermes, Apollo, Zeus, and Demeter against everyone else.

"Need help?" Luke's asked. He placed his hand on her shoulder and offered a gentle smile.

"Nah, I got it. She's surprisingly light." Annabeth adjusted Percy. She looked so peaceful as she snuggled into Annabeth.

Unknown to Annabeth, Luke cast a knowing smirk in her direction. It was hard to miss the hearts in the daughter of Athena's eyes. It was just Annabeth herself who didn't realize her feelings completely.

Drip

Annabeth glanced down to find a drop of drool on her arm. Ew.

The blonde groaned, "Really Percy?"

The black-haired girl just continued to slumber. The son of Hermes let out a small chuckle. Annabeth sighed as she continued walking along.

"You excited for capture the flag tonight?" Luke tossed a rock in his hand.

"Mhm-well mostly. I mean we have a new camper on our team, and new campers are soo annoying." Annabeth wiggled her nose in annoyance.

She glanced over to see Luke laughing.

"What. What am I missing?"

Luke kept on laughing.

"Luke! What is it?" Annabeth stopped walking to stomp her foot like a little kid, and turn to face Luke.

"Alabaster told me Percy said the same thing when we got here." A smirk was plastered on his face.

Annabeth huffed, "She wouldn't."

"She would. Percy hated you when we first got here. She hated that you were so smart and corrected her on everything. I don't know what won her over, but she doesn't hate you now." Luke started walking again.

Annabeth looked dumfounded. Percy never showed direct hate. Sure, Percy was often annoyed with Annabeth, but not hate. She could believe that Percy liked her now.

The daughter of Athena stepped into the Hermes cabin. She finally got to set Percy down.

"Now if you excuse me, I'm going to wash my hands off."

She waltzed out of the cabin. Leaving a sleeping girl, and Luke.

Annabeth sighed as she walked with the new kid, Marcus. He was looking for the bathrooms and she was heading in that direction so it wouldn't hurt to help him.

"Clarisse, what do you want?" Annabeth stopped walking when Clarisse and some Ares kids blocked their paths.

"Identified or undetermined?" the daughter of war nodded her head towards Marcus.

"Identified or undetermined..?" echoed Marcus confused as Annabeth spoke over him.

"Undetermined."

"Hm. He needs the initiation." Clarisse walked closer.

"C'mon Clarisse give him a break."

The war child just kept on walking and grabbed Marcus by the hair. He tried fighting her, but Clarisse was too strong.

His eyes glanced to Annabeth asking her for help. She just stood there, a look of pity on her face.

Marcus was dragged into the bathroom, Annabeth trailed behind. Clarisse shoved his face towards the toilet.

The unclaimed demigod stared into it. No way was he going into the green murky water. He placed his hands on the rusty rim and pushed. Once again Clarisse was stronger. She shoved his head farther in.

Psshh!

Water exploded everywhere in the bathroom. Clarisse was knocked back and onto her bum.
"What the—" she growled.

The only dry spot was Marcus, not even Annabeth was spared. Clarisse tried to get up, but her friends held her back.

"Someone beat you for once huh Clarisse?" Annabeth mocked. She wasn't sure if it was Marcus, but it was a chance to mock Clarisse.

The daughter of war said nothing but stormed off.

"Sorry." Marcus rubbed his arm as he looked at Annabeth. She had a less than pleasant look on her face.

"It's fine, but I'm going to take a shower. See you at capture the flag tonight."

Marcus called himself the 'kind of the bathroom' in his head for the rest of the day. He wasn't sure if the water exploded because of him, but it was fun to imagine it.

He was on his way to the dining hall with the Hermes cabin. The amount of people in that cabin was unbelievable. There was a son of Hypnos, two daughters of Nike (do not challenge them), five sons of Hermes, a son of Hecate, and few unclaimed.

Penny-no Percy was interesting. From what he was told demigods didn't like long, so he was surprised that a blind girl was able to survive this long.

Alabaster nudged his shoulder, "Focus dude. We're here."

"Can I ask you a question?"

"You just did." Alabaster's lips formed into a smirk. Marcus gave him a look.

"Sorry, yeah go ahead and ask a question."

"Ok its actually two questions. How does capture the flag work, and how is Percy still alive?" Marcus had a slightly sheepish look.

Alabaster gave a look that said, 'seriously.'

"Have you never played capture the flag before? Actually don't answer that. It's the same as normal capture the flag but with real weapons and shields. Also just listen to Annabeth." Alabaster started piling food on his plate – sausage pizza, bread, ranch, cheese sticks – and also grabbed a golden chalice.

"Ok but what about my second question?" Marcus followed his lead and grabbed some food.

"Oh I don't know how. She's been here since she was 5. I got here when she was 8. So I don't know much about her. I mean we are friends, but she was really closed off the first few years I was here. Now she mostly spends time with Annabeth and the Stoll brothers." The son of Hecate shrugged and dumped half his food into the fire.

"Why—"

"Offering to the 'gods'. It's not enough that their omnipotent and all powerful they need to be appreciated." Luke cut him off, "Be sure to give the best piece of your food."

Marcus nodded and pushed the best looking piece of bread and pizza in.

"Please claim me dad." He whispered and sat down at the table.

Half of his bum was hanging off the edge of bench, but it was better than being squished. It felt so unfair! 2 of the tables were empty, and several of the tables were only half filled.

Marcus scowled as he started eating his food. He noticed Persephone turning around to talk to Annabeth. How she knew where Annabeth was, Marcus didn't know.

"She can hear Annabeth's voice." Said Connor as if reading his mind.

"You were looking in their direction." Said Travis to his unanswered question.

"Campers!" Chiron stomped his foot, "Capture the flag will start soon! We have, Athena, Hermes, Hephaestus Zeus, verses Ares, Demeter, Aphrodite, and Apollo."

Marcus gulped as he continued eating his food.

"Alright, Marcus and Percy have creek duty. You ok with that Perce? Ok good. Luke, Travis, Connor are going after the flag. Alabaster and the Apollo cabin are guarding the flag. Clovis (son of Hypnos), you do that too actually. Thalia you and I are posted…here-" Annabeth took a break from talking to point at something on a map. She dragged her hand to a couple trees just behind the creek. "Hephaestus cabin you are setting traps then scatter yourself throughout."

Everyone nodded.

"Uh, what's creek duty?" Marcus asked.

"Percy will explain. Now to your posts! I am not loosing to Clarisse!"

Everyone cheered.

Percy reached out towards him. It looked like she was reaching for his arm so he extended it towards her.

"Thank you." She started dragging him towards the creek.

They didn't have to walk far to get to the creek.

"Alright, we just stand here. If anyone comes I'll know so don't bother telling me." She let go of his arm, and walked a little ways away.

Percy was sassier than Marcus thought. She was always quiet when he saw her.

Crack

Percy and Marcus's heads snapped towards the trees. Marcus saw faint glowing red eyes. Before he could tell Percy he was shoved to the ground.

Someone laughed above him.

"Let me go Sherman!" he heard Percy shout.

"Not a chance princess."

"Lookie her. We got the rookie and prissy." Clarisse taunted.

Marcus rolled over just in time to miss a stab to his shoulder. He hopped to his feet as Clarisse tried to stab him again. Unfortunately she didn't miss and nicked his shoulder. His shoulder felt numb-his whole arm did. A little blood trickled down his arm, but he couldn't feel it.

"Her spear is electric!" shouted Percy. Marcus glanced at her to see she had knocked Sherman off and grabbed her sword.

Marcus noticed her sword was different. It was gold with blue highlights. The hilt was pure black, and the tip of the sword had silver specks.

He got so distracted Clarisse knocked him down into the river. She swiped his chest with her spear. The zap spread through the water, but there was no gash. Sure, he had armor but it wasn't much. The nick on his arm was also gone. He blinked stunned.

Clarisse fell next to him before he could dwell on it.

Percy stood smirked above them. Sherman was on the floor unconscious. The black-haired girl placed her foot on Clarisse, and swiped at her chest.

"Get up newbie!" Percy kept Clarisse down. Cheering erupted on the other side. He looked over, and saw Luke cross the border with the flag in hand.

"Percy" he grabbed her arm, "The water healed me. I had a cut on my arm but it vanished when I fell in the creek."

"I'm sorry what?" She had a baffled look, "Annabeth!"

Annabeth glanced there way, and jogged over.

"Tell her."

Marcus told Annabeth.

"I thought it was Zeus." She muttered.

Chiron noticed their little huddle and walked over.

"Why aren't you guys celebrating?" He placed his hand on Annabeth's shoulder.

The daughter of Athena stood on her tippy toes and whispered into his ear.

"Impossible" Chiron whispered.

Flash

As if it was an act of defiance, green trident glowed above Marcus' head. A sprinkle of water was scattered. All the campers turned his way and kneeled. Even Chiron.

"Behold! Marcus, the son of Poseidon!"

Goodbye!
