Chapter 4: We Deserve Death
Deciding it was good idea, Tsuyu ordered Mustard to take Sakaki, Moonfish and Rick the security guard to wait with Chomper on the surface while the rest of the team stayed on level one. Tsuyu put the documents that Rick gave her in her small backpack and pulled out some juice pouches and small peanut butter cracker snacks for everyone. Diago seemed unhappy with his snack, "What am in elementary school? This is nothing." He hoped that the other villains would agree with him but they were eating away with no problems. He looked at the frog hero who was smiling at him, "If you don't want it then your welcome to eat some of the stuff in the kitchen over there. Who knows what the clones have done to it but you go on ahead, maybe you won't end up like the others." The smirk on her face was villainous to him and he decided to just eat the snacks she gave him. Himiko was about to stab her juice pouch when Bearhead grabbed her wrist, "Three things were about happen there Toga. One, the knife was going to stab that juice box. Two, the juice would have splattered on me. Three, I would have ripped out your eyeballs. Be greatful I stopped you." He let go of Himiko who proceeded to put away her knife and use the straw provided.
Tsuyu laid out the map on one of the less bloody cafeteria tables and pointed at the the fourth floor, "According to the map, the cloning lab should be on level four. This leaves us with two options, clear out the other two floors then go for the cloning lab or clear out the cloning lab first and then the other floors. The problem is no matter what we choose, June has an advantage. If we attack level two or three then June will send her disfigured clones from level four to attack from behind. If we attack level four directly, floors two and three will attack from behind." Victor raised his hand like a he was in school trying to ask the teacher a question. Once she saw him he asked his question, "Why doesn't this place have a stairwell?" Tsuyu just shrugged, "No clue but it's a really bad design if you ask me." Himiko raised her hand and Tsuyu acknowledged her, "So if level four is for the cloning lab, level five is the armory/barracks, and the level were on is the cafeteria, then what is level two and three."
Tsuyu actually didn't know the answer to Himiko's question. She consulted the map for answers, "I don't know the specifics but it says here level two is a chemistry lab and level three is a paleontology lab." Victor suddenly remembered what Rick had mentioned in the elevator. It all makes sense now, "So that explains the velociraptors." Everybody looked at Victor with a confused look on their face, "What do you mean by velociraptors?" Himiko asked. Victor was embarrassed that he didn't mention this sooner to everyone, "The security guard said to Mustard and me that she has been cloning dinosuars." Everyone just stared at him for a couple seconds before Bearhead broke the silence, "How about we have Diago jam the elevator on every floor, that way we can clear them out without worrying from an attack coming from behind." He seemed more excited since the mentioning of dinosuars, almost anxious to see them. Tsuyu wrapped up the map and put it in her backpack before heading to the elevator, "Let's go everyone."
(Second Level)
As soon as those elevator doors opened, Bearhead charged out ready to fight. He looked around eagerly but he was disappointed. He saw the normal the mutated June clones but no velociraptors. Victor started firing shots as Diago changed into his battle form and Himiko started slashing. Tsuyu kicked one but it didn't react, she punched another but it didn't try fighting back, none of them were. The others caught on and stopped fighting. The clones were not attacking them but just looking up in the sky and twitch occasionally. Diago waved his hand infront of one but it didn't react. Himiko swiped at one's neck and watched as did nothing but fall to the ground, "I don't think these guys are fully here." He said watching it not even move. Tsuyu went up to one of the clones that had multiple eyes and inspected more closely. She opened one of the eyes wide, the pupil was so dilated that it was like staring into a black abyss. She pressed her long fingers against it's neck feeling for a hearbeat, its was erratic.
"They're on drugs." She removed her fingers from the clone's neck and backed away. From down the hall the sound of glass breaking grabs everyone's attention. The team walks slowly down the hall, following the sound of boiling substances and metal beakers clanging together. The sound of mumbling and incoherent screaming can be heard just outside the lab door painted red with blood. Tsuyu opened the door expecting a pile of corpses the same as on level one, she dread the sight and the smell. There was no corpses, only a single June clone stood in the room dressed the same way as the June upstairs. Her only deformity was a extra foot had grown from her head. The clone was mixing together a bunch of pretty colored liquids into big pot, The rest of the team waited outside the lab as Tsuyu approached it, "Hello." She said making herself her present to the clone. The clone looked up at her, "You should move to the next floor." The clone said not even looking up at her. The floor was covered in glass, blood, and chunks of flesh.
The clone mixed the pot of liquids, the bright colors mixed together made a pitch black substance. When she was done mixing she looked at Tsuyu, "I've been keeping them distracted with concoction of painkillers but they don't ovedose, they just get really high. So I'm making a poison." Bearhead took one sniff in the air and immediately back off, it reaked of death and chemicals. Victor and Diago backed off too but Himiko entered the lab, "What about you?" She asked. Tsuyu put her hand on the clone's shoulder, "You can come with us. We can help you get out of here and you can start a life for yourself." The clone gently removed Tsuyu's hand, "That sounds lovely but I can't. I'm not fully right and I can feel myself, my mind, it drifts away into violent rages like the others. I killed the scientists and my sense came to me, I injested brains. I'm out of them now. Hunger is setting in. Not much time left, need to end them, me too. But I thank you and please be careful."
The clone picked up the pot of poison and carried out to the others. Tsuyu wanted say something but the clone had made up its mind. Toga and her left for the elevator where the other 3 were waiting, "About time you showed up." Diago said as he turned the elevator back on. The last thing Tsuyu saw before the elevator door closed was the clone wave goodbye.
(Asui's Apartment)
Izuku thought about Brazil and the giant monster attacking Rio. He fought the endless hordes of its spawn, the monster itself, and a crackhead with a knife. It was a rough time but he would fight it all over again if it meant not being here. Tsuyu's siblings were chatting it up with Mina and Kyoka about Tsu and him. He was done making tea and had switched to coffee, it was the only thing that was going to get him through the day. Just then, The doorbell went off again. Izuku walked over to the door and opened it, "Tsu I need." He stopped himself again. It was Fumikage and he was dressed in his hero attire. The two were surprised to see eachother, "Oh hi Tokoyami." Izuku greeted as stepped outside and closed the door behind him. He didnt anyone else finding out, "I came to see Asui. Why are you here exactly?" Fumikage asked. Izuku needed him gone and fast, on the spot he came up with an excuse, "Tsu asked me to watch her place while she went out. Water the plants and stuff." Izuku didn't like lying but it was his only option.
"Well okay. I was just going to ask her something silly anyways. Goodbye Midoriya" Fumikage turned to walk away but izuku put his hand on his shoulder, "Your not really the type for saying silly stuff Tokoyami. Tell me what's on your mind." Izuku could see the concern on his face and he wasn't about to let a friend continue to worry. Tokoyami turned to face him again, "After Brazil was over and done, I was asked to go to the Philippines. Some terrorist unit out there got decimated by another group but the Phillipines government didn't know who and they got scared. Me and a few others couldn't find anything about who did it. But then a nearby village had a injured terrorist slowly dying from his vast amount of injuries. He claimed to had seen Asui, giving us a detailed description of her hero costume and everything. I know it sounds crazy and I shouldn't believe him given his state or who he was, It just got to me for some reason." The Jet Black Hero seemed relieved.
Izuku smiled. He thought Fumikage was going to say something like he was in love with Tsuyu or something, "I bet Tsu appreciates you worrying about her but she wouldn't do such a thing. I don't doubt she could handle a bunch terrorists, but to kill every single one, that isn't like Tsu. The guy was obviously delusional." Izuku did think it was actually kind of silly but he was happy to calm his friend. Fumikage rubbed the back of his head awkwardly, "You're probably right Midoriya, I mean why would she even be in the Philippines when she's retired? Well I'll catch you later, I got a cat that's missing me." Fumikage left, Izuku waved goodbye and went back inside but he debated not to.
(Shorter chapter then usually but once I get some stuff done it will be back to normal)
