CH 21
Down to the last scene they had to make for the movie, Jackie and Montgomery couldn't stop a fit of the giggles as they tried to recite their lines and do their scene. Duncan and Jerry had come to watch. Some of the lines were already funny and suggestive. Listening to them, Jerry couldn't help but burst out laughing with a few others.
"You HAVE to sound serious!" Cameron scolded them. She threw up a hand and said, "All right, everyone, OUT except those in the scene and the cameramen. We want to get this done TODAY!"
Duncan and Jerry went outside with others who'd come to watch.
Still grinning, Jerry asked, "How are they going to do that sword fight seriously? I mean, that's some silly stuff."
"I'm sure they'll manage," Duncan assured him. "I don't think us laughing helped any."
"We'll get to see this movie when it comes out?"
"Yes, we will be invited to the premier showing, as will all the families of the actors," Duncan told him.
A voice to the side asked, "Does that woman have horns on her head?"
Jerry looked. A couple had come in a pickup truck and were giving out boxed lunches. The man looked normal, but the woman had long pink hair. There were triangular protrusions on her head. Jerry ignored the line and went over for a closer look at the woman.
Seeing him, the woman looked at him and pointed to the line. "If you want one, get in line."
Jerry stared at her. The irises of her eyes were red. "I…" he wanted to ask if she was sick, or how she got red eyes. As she eyed him, he wasn't able to speak.
Behind him, Duncan called, "Jerry! Over here. Hey Kaede."
Kaede shifted her gaze. "Hey Duncan. This your boy?"
"Yeah, that's Jerry. He usually a good kid," Duncan replied.
Kaede smiled at Jerry. "Hello, Jerry, be a good boy and get in line."
"Hi," he squeaked out. He tried to move, but he was fixed in place looking at her. She looked really strange.
"He's a little overwhelmed," Duncan said and took Jerry by the arm to lead him away.
Being pulled away, Jerry finally broke his gaze on Kaede. He turned to Duncan. "Is she sick or something? Her eyes are red."
Duncan grinned. "No, she's not sick. Kaede's not human. She lives on a farm with John Junior and here, she can live without being harassed like many people who come here. Remember to be nice to her."
"Where'd she come from?"
"Someplace in Japan" Duncan explained. "Their government had her locked up. She escaped and hid, the Connors went and retrieved her and brought her here so she can live a life." Quietly, he added, "And don't get her angry I heard her Japanese name is 'Wind of death' she killed a lot of the PSR we were after."
"She was shooting them?"
"Kaede doesn't need a weapon. She kills with her mind," Duncan said firmly. "You've heard of telekinesis?"
"Yeah."
"Hers is so strong, all she has to do is look at someone and they blow apart."
Jerry gaped at him. "For real?"
Duncan nodded. "So be nice."
Getting in the short line, Jerry got a lunch from the man and thanked him. He paused to look at Kaede again and tripped. Before he hit the ground, he was lifted by nothing. His lunch that he'd dropped floated up and back into his hands.
"Be more careful," Kaede stated.
"Ahh, thanks," he got out.
Kaede let out a snort as she cast him a smirk. She handed Duncan his lunch.
That was really weird. Jerry waited for Duncan. They headed back to some chairs outside the Quonset hut where the actors were. The door opened and a coupe cameramen came out, followed by Jackie and Montgomery.
"I didn't mean it, I'm really sorry," Montgomery said in a pained voice.
"Don't worry about it!" Jackie said. "We finished the scene, didn't we? Mom liked the end, didn't she?"
"But … I stabbed you for real," Montgomery complained.
Jackie threw her hands up in a flop. "So what? You were supposed to poke me. Stop worrying about it."
Jerry noted that on his Mom's chest, a red spot was on the center right between her boobs. On the outside of her left breast, there was another blood spot.
"Mom! You got hurt?" he asked, wide eyed.
"It's nothing, already healed," Jackie assured him. "Grab a seat, I'm getting some lunch and I'll join you."
"Monty got first blood, did he?" Duncan asked with a grin.
"He did!" Jackie beamed. "He skewered me!"
"I'm really sorry about that," Montgomery said sadly.
"Don't be," Cameron said from behind him. "The reactions you both had were perfect. That was a good take, we're using it."
"Mom, he stabbed you?" Jerry asked weakly.
"Yup!" Pointing to the inside blood spot, she said, "In one side and out the other." She then giggled. "The look on Monty's face after he did that was priceless."
Duncan shook his head. "Jackie, only you would be happy about getting stabbed with a sword."
Jackie grinned. "Well, I was suppose to lean back a bit farther and parry his blade. I didn't parry. Hey, the scene called for me to get a 'movie' fake stab. I thought this would be more realistic."
"You can't get any more real than that," Duncan agreed. "We'll be here."
"Be right back," Jackie assured him and went to get some lunch.
Feeling a little dizzy, Jerry sat down in a chair. "Mom acted like that was nothing. I'm surprised she didn't scream of something," he said blankly.
"Your mom doesn't scream," Duncan replied. "Trust me, she's been hurt much worse than that and she didn't even yelp out in pain. Jackie is really tough."
"Yeah," Jerry said weakly.
.
The rest of the day, actors and extras were paid and inside Charlie and Cameron began post-production of putting the scenes together in order. Jackie came back out in regular clothes, no blood spots. Duncan and Jackie hung out a while talking to others, then got back in their rented car and drove to the airport.
Jerry came to the conclusion his mom was a good mom. She was also a bit crazy.
.
Sonya finally relented. Many of her coworkers had been wanting to see where she lived, and even the Mayor of San Jose had hinted she should host a party. She decided to. After all, she'd been to a few gatherings at other people's houses.
One thing she was happy about was now, the bank who had owned her house belonged to Cameron, and Cameron had endorsed her to 'watch over' the house. Although the bank still owned it (and paid the taxes on it) Sonya was able to live there and do whatever she wanted with the place.
Sonya did realize she needed a couple maids. The place was big and just cleaning it would take up all her time. For grounds and pool maintenance, she tracked down Bruce Banner. She found him working at another temporary job, this one was for the city as a street cleaner. Minimum wage.
It was on a Friday she met him as he and his crew returned to the maintenance building for the day.
"Hey, Bruce," she greeted as she walked in to the group that were putting things away.
He looked over and smiled. "Sonya! I heard you're doing rather well."
"I'm doing all right. Can I talk to you outside for a bit?" she asked.
One of the others went over to whisper to Bruce. "Careful she's a cop."
Bruce grinned at him. "I've known her long before she was a cop. Don't worry."
Getting him outside, Sonya said, "Bruce, I need a man I can trust to do minor things around my house. Things like taking care of the maintenance around the place, yard work, pool stuff. Since I have so many rooms, you can live there too. Interested?'
"I'd be your grounds keeper, right?" he asked.
Sonya nodded, "And watch out for Hugh. He's the octopus I have. He lives in the pool in the separate salt water side. He's getting big."
Bruce eyed her. "An octopus?"
Sonya shrugged. "When I was in the water, he grabbed a hold of me and wouldn't let go. He was a baby then, and well, by the time we got him off, he's lived first in an aquarium, and now the pool. I'm not around enough to properly feed and watch him. Officer Hanson has been helping me with him but she's being promoted, which means she's going to have less time to come take care of Hugh."
Bruce grinned, "Why'd you name him Hugh?"
"Well, he loves to touch people, me mainly and wrap his tentacles on me, so I named him Hugh Hefner."
Bruce laughed. "OK, yeah, I can see that being appropriate."
"I'll give you 1300 a week," Sonya said in a serious tone, "That with your own room and run of the house. Will that be good? And this isn't a temporary job."
"When do I start?"
"The moment you want to. Would you like to go see the house?"
.
Bruce was stunned at the size of Sonya's house. Good pay, a nice place to live, and being able to see one of is true friends from Driftwood, he was eager to work for Sonya. He knew that like him, she wasn't a 'normal' person. He got to pick his bedroom. Sonya even took him to his small apartment to help load up his things and get them to her house.
Sonya had hr bikini on to go show him Hugh. She carried a bucket with some thawed out fish with her as they walked out back.
"That's a big pool," he noted.
"Good thing too," Sonya replied. "At the deep end, see those walls? That's salt water, Hugh's place. He's felt the water on the fresh water side with his tentacles, but stays in his own area," she explained.
"That's a big area for one octopus," Bruce noted.
"Like I said, he's getting big. I swear he's growing daily. Remember, he likes to wrap tentacles around you. That's how he identifies individuals."
Sitting down at the edge of the pool, Sonya put her legs in the water and kicked them a bit to splash. Bruce sat beside her, his legs tucked under him.
Looking down into the clear water, he saw there were things scattered over the bottom. From within a hollow rock, a long tentacle came out, then the octopus, emerged and came up to them.
"He's the size of a beach ball!" Bruce exclaimed.
"Hugh is a Pacific Giant octopus, He's going to get bigger than that." Sonya said. She pulled a fish out of the bucket.
Hugh rose up and wrapped a tentacle around one of Sonya's legs. Another tentacle came up. She showed him the fish. He wrapped it up and pulled it to his mouth. Another tentacle came out to lay on Bruce's leg.
"Show him your bare arm, let him taste you," Sonya coaxed.
"Taste me?" Bruce asked, eyeing her warily.
"That's how he identifies others," she explained. "He won't hurt you."
Bruce did as she asked, holding his arm out. The tentacle on him wrapped around his arm. He also noted another wrapped around Sonya's other leg.
Hugh had eaten the fish and raised another tentacle to her. She grabbed a fish and gave it to him.
"Officer Hanson told me much about these creatures," Sonya explained. "They are very interesting. Smart, and they do like to play and interact."
Right after she said that, Hugh squirted a shot of water up into her face.
Bruce laughed.
He then noticed a tentacle come up to move along her back.
"He does that too. He wants attention." Sonya grumbled. Feeling Hugh pull on her, she let out a sigh. "Be back shortly."
Sonya slipped into the pool. When she was in the water submerged, she let go of the edge and sank to the bottom with Hugh holding onto her.
Bruce watched them. Hugh moved up in front of her. In what looked like an almost baby cradle hold, Sonya petted his head as she held him. His tentacles mostly relaxed, a couple petted and ran up and down her back.
It looked to him like Sonya was holding a child. He was thinking she wouldn't be down there long. She was. Five minutes went by, then ten. Hugh finally let go and moved over to the middle of his pool. He grabbed a mostly full bottle off the bottom and shot a jet of water at it to send it towards Sonya. Sonya caught the bottle and threw it back at him.
They did this for another ten minutes or so, knocking the bottle back and forth. Bruce looked at his watch again. Sonya had been down 24 minutes so far. He wondered if she was ever going to come up for air.
"Hello!" a female voice called. Bruce saw the blonde in a police uniform walking towards him. "Is Sonya here?" she asked.
Bruce pointed down. "She's on the bottom, playing with Hugh."
The woman giggled and came over to look in. "Yeah, she does that."
"Does she ever come up for air?" Bruce asked.
The blonde grinned. "Not often. So far, the longest I've seen her down is 40 minutes. She really likes interacting with Hugh. He seems to like interacting with her also. How she holds her breath that long and doesn't faint, I have no idea."
"Sonya is amazing," Bruce said.
"She is. A bit odd too." Grinning at him she said, "Most people get a dog."
Bruce laughed. "Maybe she just likes ocean life. I know she has a mermaid tail she swims in."
Officer Hanson nodded. "I was thinking about trying that myself. I know Sonya dives and swims with the biological mermaids. I also know as soon as they see a diver, they flee. I'd really like to get closer to one of them."
"Watching them swim is a graceful sight," Bruce agreed. "When we lived … in Texas at the lake we were at, that was fun just watching them." He chuckled. "Sonya's sisters would race around chasing each other. Now and then they had to stop and get small alligators out of their hair. If they got close enough, the little alligators would grab into their hair for a ride."
"Sounds like a fun place."
Bruce's face dimmed. "It was. Damn near paradise."
"So, why'd you leave?" she asked.
Bruce took on a lost look. "We got hit with a nuclear bomb. Not many survived that. It was horrible."
Sincerely, she said, "I bet it was." She then paused. "You're from Driftwood, like Sonya is?"
"Yeah," he said heavily. "Such a beautiful place, a place we were all happy and everyone got along. I was due to be married to a woman named Jo. She was wonderful. Now, she'd dead like the hundreds of others."
"I am so sorry. How are you dealing with that?"
Bruce shrugged. "A little better. I've had some help. For a long time, I thought friends were transitory. Sonya's not, neither is her family. I was a little surprised when she found me again. They are good people. I just couldn't go back there after Jo died."
"I can understand that," she agreed. "Are you going to live with Sonya?"
"Yeah, I'm her new general fixit guy. She brought me out here to introduce Hugh down there. I never realized how intelligent they are."
"They are. Did you know their brain is not just in their body, but runs through all their tentacles too?"
Below, Sonya had looked up and saw them. She walked over to the ladder to climb up. Hugh climbed the ladder too. Sonya got out of the pool and greeted them. Hugh got to the top and poked his eyes out of the water.
"Hi Hugh!" Officer Hanson said and waved.
A tentacle briefly flailed in the air.
Officer Hanson asked, "Sonya, why didn't you just swim up?"
Sonya replied, "I can't swim without my tail. I just sink to the bottom. I'm too heavy to swim without it."
"Be careful going out on boats," Bruce told her.
Jerking a thumb behind her, Officer Hanson said, "You've got a couple girls out front looking for a job. I told them to wait out front."
"Thanks, I'll go see to them." Sonya replied. To Bruce she said, "Make yourself at home. I'll be back soon."
Bruce watched Sonya walk away. Yeah, she was very tall, but proportioned perfectly. Sonya was pretty and looked great. Watching her walk was a very nice sight. He felt the Hulk stir. Before the Hulk came out, he got up and said, "I need to go put my things away. It's been nice to meet you, Officer."
Officer Hanson watched him go, his head down. She was wondering why he left so abruptly, then got water squirted on her. Right, Hugh wanted another fish.
With the help of Bruce and a pair of young women who were now her maids, Sonya got the supplies and got the house ready for the party this next Saturday. Sonya was happy Bruce withed so hard, he was always doing something when she was home. Some days, she knew he was around, but only got glimpses of him. She was beginning to think he didn't like her.
One day, Sonya cornered him in the kitchen when he got a few of the whole fish out for Hugh.
"Hey Bruce, I haven't seen you much. Everything OK?" Sonya asked.
"Huh?" he asked as he straighten up. He cast her a surprised look and shut the fridge door. "Ah, yeah. This is great," he offered. "Just gonna go out and feed Hugh. You're home early."
"Had a shorter day, no big problems," Sonya replied. "I just haven't seen much of you."
Bruce offered her a smile. "Well, you pay me good and I got free room and board, I'm just doing my part to keep your place up here."
"I really appreciate that," Sonya told him. "Say, let me get changed, then I'll go out and feed Hugh with you."
"Yeah, that sounds good," he agreed.
"Be right back."
Sonya hurried up to her room and changed into her bikini and grabbed her mermaid tail.
Bruce waited by the back door for Sonya. When she showed up, she was in her bikini with her tail over her shoulder. Bruce did his best not to look, but her sexy form filled his mind. Again, he felt the Hulk stirring. Turning away from her, he opened the door for her.
"You pretty much have lived alone, haven't you, Bruce?" Sonya asked as they walked to the pool.
"Yeah," he admitted. With a shrug, he said, "You know… how I am. There's not a whole lot of people I can trust."
Sonya grinned. "I know you're a good man, and we did some serious destruction working together," she said with a grin.
"I'm dangerous," Bruce said flatly.
"You can be," Sonya agreed. "So can I. The thing is, your Hulk isn't as brainless as you think he is."
"He scares me," Bruce stated. "I lose all control and you've seen the havoc he can cause."
"The havoc we caused," Sonya replied. "And at no time was your Hulk out of control. We did what we had to do, and he listened to me. We did good, Bruce. Don't ever forget that. Did Mr. big and green ever come out to play?"
Bruce didn't say anything for a while, then he admitted, "Only with Jo."
Sonya nodded. "I bet you both miss that," she said softer. "I know I do."
Bruce looked at her. "Sonya," he whispered.
Looking into his eyes, she saw them change. She put her tail down and cupped his face. Softly she said, "Don't be afraid. I think we both desperately need affection. Let him come out, it's OK."
.
In the house, the maids were in the sitting room, making sure everything was clean and set for the upcoming party. Then they hear a roar outside.
They looked up. "What was that?" the dark haired one asked.
Another roar sounded. They frowned at each other. "A bear?" the blonde asked.
"I thought it was a lion or something."
They went to look. Another long rolling roar sounded out. They hurried to see what kind of animal was out there. Whatever it was, it had to be big. Getting to the back patio windows they looked out and their jaws dropped.
They knew Sonya Conner was very tall. At the moment she was wrapped up naked with a huge green beast man that was bigger than she was, and was pounding her hard as they had sex.
"YEAH BABY!" Sonya cried out in a wail. The big green monster let out another roar.
They stared, fixed in place by the sight.
"Oh my god, what IS that?" the blonde asked weakly.
"I have no idea, but I think we don't want to be caught watching," The dark haired maid said weakly. She grabbed the blonde by the arm and towed her back inside.
They went back in, staring blankly at the floor. Wandering through the house, they spoke in whispers.
"I … that was unreal,"
"Maybe we should be done for the day."
"Sonya's boyfriend is humongous."
"She was being bounced back and forth … I … wow."
They meekly left the house as a long roar sounded out with a higher cry they were sure was Sonya. Both their faces were red.
In the pool, Hugh came up to peek his eyes out of the water to see what was going on.
.
Sonya lay in bliss with a shrinking Bruce over her. She held him close, when he shrunk down, his head was planted between her breasts. Hen he regained enough strength to look up at her, she kissed him.
"That was really good," she told him with a broad smile. "Tell me you'll stay with me."
Bruce felt a little dizzy. "I … we…"
"Had a great time," Sonya finished for him. "I really like your Hulk, and I really like you."
Bruce asked, "You're not scared at all?"
Sonya laughed. "Just the opposite. That was a wild romp! I think we need to do more of that."
Growing a grin, he said, "Me too. Sonya, I hadn't planned this."
"Neither did I, but it worked out fine, didn't it?"
"Yeah it did." he leaned up and kissed her. Seeing the clothes scattered about, he said, "We didn't even rip up our clothes?"
"We got them off. Not by much, but we did," Sonya said with a grin.
They got themselves together and went over to feed Hugh. As they talked with Hugh holding his tentacles on them, an animal control officer came up to them carrying a tranquilizer rifle.
"Commissioner, have you seen a big wild animal around? We got reports of something big roaring, but we can't find anything around."
Sonya shook her head. "Hugh here is big, but he doesn't make any noise. He also stays in his pool."
Seeing the thick tentacles on her legs, the man came closer. "Damn, that's a big octopus. How'd he get here?"
I was in the water and he clung onto me. He was tiny then, and wouldn't let go. I got him to a pet shop, they fed him some and he let go in an aquarium. He's been living here, that aquarium is way to small for him now."
"I guess so. Well, I doubt he's what were looking for. Sorry to have bothered you, have a nice day," the man offered and hurried off.
Bruce frowned. "It may cause some trouble if we stay together," he said vacantly. He passed Hugh another fish.
"If it does, we'll figure it out," Sonya replied. "I really want you to stay. If it does cause too much trouble, we can always go back to Driftwood. Joan has a nice place up by the big lake now, so we can get a house up there. Stay with me, please?"
Bruce smiled at her. "I just don't want to cause any trouble."
"If we play inside, then I don't think we will," she assured him.
"I do want to stay with you," he admitted.
"Great! And stop being afraid of the green guy. He's really not bad at all."
.
The day of the party Sonya got a nice blue dress on and Bruce wore a shirt/ light sweater combo with a new pair of pants Sonya had bought for him. As always, Sonya wore flats, not high heels as most women did. The maids got all the snacks drinks and fixing ready, though they seemed to avoid eye contact, and blushed when they looked at Sonya now and then.
Sonya invited everyone in the department, and asked for RSVP's so she'd have enough supplies for everyone. She had a guest list of 215 people from the Mayor down to many patrolmen. Once it was time to receive guests, she had one maid welcome people at the door, The other shuttling around with a drink tray.
Instead of a sit down dinner, with so many people coming, she made a buffet so people could come and get food as they wanted. Music played and people mingled. Her party was starting out well. It also spread out though the house and onto the back patio.
One thing Sonya hadn't thought about was Hugh, or how tipsy some of her guests got. Knowing it was time to go feed Hugh, Sonya slipped off to get her bikini on and take out a bucket with some whole fish to go feed Hugh.
Officer Hanson saw her and went out with her, along with her diving buddies. They also wanted to see Sonya's octopus. When Sonya sat down on the edge of the salt water pool and kicked her legs a bit to splash and call him, there was a group standing around her.
"Don't get near the edge," she warned them. "Hugh likes to wrap his tentacles around you if he can."
Seeing Hugh come up and out of his cave, many got closer to watch him.
"Damn, he' s a big one!"
"He used to be so tiny!"
"He's going to grow twice that size," Officer Hanson told the crowd.
When Hugh did is normal thing, wrapping a tentacle around each of Sonya's legs and reaching up to put one on her back as she fed him, one man asked, "Commissioner, what's he doing? Is he going to pull you in?"
Sonya grinned. "Sometimes he does. He just wants to play."
"How?" another man asked.
Sonya noted Hugh seemed a little off. He was gripping her legs a little harder than usual and staying lower than he usually got. "Guys? I think he's a little nervous. Please, stand back," she called.
Sonya then felt him tug on her. "Be right back," she said, then slipped in the water and let go of the edge to sink to the bottom.
Hugh didn't play or want to get rubbed. With a tentacle around her he tugged her over to his cave. He slipped in and eyed her, a tentacle on her arm. She petted his tentacle, then reached in and petted his head. He pulled a bit. OK, he wanted her to hide with him. She petted him enough where he calmed down and let go.
Being free, Sonya got up and walked to the ladder to climb up and out. Getting to the surface, she saw everyone was watching her. She shrugged. "I think all the people here made him nervous. We usually play for a while after he eats."
"He wanted you to hide in his cave with him," Officer Hanson said.
"Yeah, but I don't fit," Sonya told her.
People had questions, and Officer Hanson eagerly explained about octopi and their habits. While she talked to an interested group, Sonya went back in, showered and changed back into her dress.
Upstairs, she head loving noises in a bedroom. She also picked up a couple beer bottles on the stairs. Generally, people behaved them selves, but there were exceptions. An arm wrestling match didn't bother her. Neither did a group laughing and telling jokes. She did noted a couple men were very drunk and facing off. He headed for them to try and get them calmed down.
"Yeah, asshole?" one man asked and pushed the other.
Bruce got in between them. "Guys, calm down," he said firmly.
"Out of the way, skinny man!" the drunk barked and threw him onto a table to slide off the other side, wiping out some tableware to land on the floor with him.
Aww shit! Sonya hurried over, but she heard the low growl from Bruce and ripping cloth. She did get to the men before they clashed together to fight, and grabbed each by the collar.
"STOP IT!" Sonya bellowed, holding them apart. Right after that, the Hulk stood up and roared at the man who'd shoved him.
Everyone went quiet.
Sonya pushed and towed the men to the door. "You guys need to leave, NOW!"
While everyone else gaped at the Hulk, the Hulk smashed the table in half and followed Sonya. The man in back of her, twisted and ripped his shirt free. He glared at her briefly, then the Hulk grabbed him and lifted him off his feet.
Sonya lifted the one man off his feet, carried him down the stairs and dropped him. She was about to yell at him, then the other one flew past to land nearby, face first.
The Hulk flexed and roared at them. Both men scrambled a short ways away then stared up at the huge green man.
"No fighting!" Sonya roared at them.
Seeing the Hulk move towards them, Sonya grabbed his arm. "No, let them go, don't kill them." she said firmly.
The men scrambled up and ran.
The Hulk stayed by her. He cast her a confused gaze. Sonya sighed. Everyone had seen what happened. Damnit! With Bruce only wearing bits of clothing left, she didn't want to go back inside with him. She let out a sigh. "Come in, we'll go around the side," she told him and clasped his hand.
Thankfully, he went with her. She even got him to sit down with her on the side of the house and calm down. It took a few minutes for him to shrink back down into Bruce.
"What did I do?" Bruce asked weakly.
"Nothing too bad," Sonya assured him. "Stay out here for a bit. I'll go get you some clothes."
"I should go," he said, looking like he was ready to cry.
"Don't you dare," Sonya told him firmly. "And if WE have to go, we'll do it together. Right?"
Bruce nodded weakly.
She kissed him on the head. "Stay here, I'll be back soon."
Going back inside, people were whispering to each other. Of course, around the broken table things were all over the floor. Sonya gazed at it with a tired sigh.
The mayor asked, "Sonya, what was that? Who was that giant guy?"
She expected that question. "My boyfriend," she said, not wanting to explain. "Things were getting out of hand so I made all those guys leave." Looking at the blank faces, she added, "Sorry guys, I think the party's over."
"Well, this has been one hell of a party," the Police captain said and raised his glass to her. A couple people chuckled.
A woman gushed, "Where'd you find that guy? He's bigger than you are!"
Sonya grinned. "Just got lucky."
"He's a guy you deserve," another man added.
"Yeah, any woman smaller, and I think he'd break-em."
That brought some chuckles.
Sonya grinned. She was glad everyone was a bit tipsy. Their reactions seemed dulled due to it. Sonya went up and got Bruce some clothes. On the way back though she also thanked the ones helping the maids pick up the mess on the floor. After people left, he found her house needed a lot of cleaning.
She also decide she was done hosting parties.
