A/N: This is not The Tales of version of Percy Jackson and the Greek Gods or Percy Jackson and the Greek Heroes, but rather The Tales of version of a book I got of Greek and Roman Mythology I got in Rome Italy. The settings will be after 'The Tales of the Heroes of Olympus: The Blood of Olympus' so please read that before getting in this story. Think of this story as something to pass by until The Trials of Apollo books.
Amalthea
I owe a lot to this goat. She helped my friends and I when we needed it most.
Amalthea was a she goat (in some stories a nurse others a nymph) who brought up Zeus in secrecy on Mount Ida in Crete when Kronos wanted to eat him. Amalthea hung the baby in a tree to prevent his father from finding him in the heavens, or on earth, or in the seas, and she gathered the Curetes round himso that their songs and noisy dances should drown his cries.
As a goat she was also called Aix and was a terrifying beast, descended from Helios, and the Titans were so frightened by her mere appearance that Gaia, at their request, had hidden her in a cave in the Cretan Mountains.
Later, when Zeus was fighting the Titans, he made himself armor from her skin. This armor was called the Aegis. There is also a story that Zeus took one of the goat's horns and gave it to Amalthea , promising her that it would be filled with all kinds of fruit she wanted. This of course was one of the stories behind the Cornucopia that also said to came from Achelous.
All I know is Amalthea must of been resurrected immortal because again, she helped my friends and me out.
Next is a mother who wanted her daughter to marry a king and defy her husband to do so only to lead to a disaster.
A/N: Well The Tales of the Classical Mythology now marks as the longest story of The Tales of series, now longer than House of Hades. I guess it makes sense Amalthea marks it as such due to The Tales of the Son of Poseidon: The Early Adventures
