Chapter 7

Aladdin had just made it back to the palace after sleeping with the dog he had just met. He ended up giving him some food and sent him to Genki's to cause him some trouble. He snickered at the thought of the old man dealing with him.

I still need to give him a name. Aladdin thought while snickering. Hopefully Abu, Iago got along with him too.

His thoughts were interrupted as he ran into the Sultan who was making his way out of his latest meeting. Aladdin noticed The Sultan looked much happier and more had a pep in his step he didn't have before. He had always been a happy man, but now he had boundless energy compared to before. Aladdin thought that he and Jasmine made the right decisions to focus on their crafts since it's leading to good things for both of them. But he still had yet to break it to Jasmine that he was a fighter in a league that was dangerous and scary.

"Aladdin my boy! You'll never believe how much Jasmine has taken to learning these politics!" The Sultan exclaimed hugging Aladdin.

"She's smart isn't she." Aladdin smiled hugging The Sultan back. He always knew Jasmine would be able to handle those politics and she had a natural way to get through to people. It was about time The Sultan let her use it to help Agrabah grow even more.

"She is! She's taking a real liking to learning more and more. She might not need me anymore for some of these meetings." The sultan replied smiling big. "But speaking about learning, how's your fighting going my boy?"

"It's going well so far." Aladdin replied.

"I can tell! You've definitely gotten stronger." The Sultan exclaimed feeling Aladdin's muscles which have grown a little through his makeshift hoodie.

"Where's Jasmine now sir?" Aladdin asked.

The Sultan smiled while motioning for Aladdin to follow.

The two walked to a big room where they watched Jasmine lead a group of representatives of different kingdoms on trade deals.

They both watched with pride as she wouldn't back down to anyone who objected to the fair deal already made on the table.

"But the terms of the supplies are still unreasonable!" One man said at Jasmine.

"No. Your kingdom is smaller and therefore in less need of supplies and you're not giving up much in this trade anyway." Jasmine replied coolly.

She then laid out the deals and countered every objection with logic and made sure everyone was getting a fair trade off.

"I wish I could've been as smart as her when I was twice her age." The sultan commented.

"I wish I could've had half her knowledge." Aladdin replied before walking away.

"You're not gonna see her?" The Sultan asked.

"Na she seems busy. I don't wanna interrupt. Tell her I said hi and I love her." Aladdin replied hugging The Sultan before heading out feeling happy. It was good to see things going well with her. But he would have to break the news of his fighting later. He headed out to the visit Genki and talk about his next fight.

He busted out laughing at the scene at the house.

"Aladdin get this damn dog away from my food!" Genki yelled trying to stop the dog from eating all the food in the fridge.

The dog continued to bark and run around making Genki freak out even more.

"Here boy!" Aladdin said motioning for the dog to come to him.

The dog instantly snapped his head up and immediately trotted to his new master happily wagging his tail.

"Why did you send this creature over here anyway?" Genki said cleaning up the mess on the table.

"Beats me. He followed me home." Aladdin shrugged. With his friends on vacation and Jasmine busy, he was a bit lonely. The dog came at the right time for him.

"What's his name anyway?"

Aladdin looked at the dog who was happily looking back at him before thinking.

"Jordan." Aladdin decided. It was a nice name.

"Well tell Jordan to knock it off!" Genki yelled trying to stop Jordan from going back into the fridge.

"Jordan come here." Aladdin said softly and Jordan trotted happily to him and sat.

"Stay there and don't cause any problems will ya."

Aladdin sat down at the table and started eating the food that wasn't destroyed with Genki.

"Did you tell the princess yet?" Genki asked.

"Nope. She's been busy with trade agreements. I'll tell her eventually." Aladdin replied.

"She's probably gonna be pissed as hell." Genki said cackling.

"Don't remind me." Aladdin said paining at the thought of what her reaction would be. She was gonna be worried and pissed that he was even doing this.

"Well speaking from experience, she's gonna be worried and frightened. But she'll support you and be that extra strength."

Aladdin looked at Genki perplexed.

"You got a wife?"

Genki nodded and continued to eat.

"You never told me who was unlucky enough to be your wife?" Aladdin said laughing along with Jordan who barked happily in agreement.

"Hey!" Genki said red faced.

"When am I gonna meet the poor unlucky lady?"

"Well," Genki started clearing his throat. "You'll meet my very HAPPY wife tomorrow. She's coming back from a trade expedition tomorrow for Agrabah."

"Alright sounds good."

The 2 spent time talking about how Genki met and got married to his wife as Aladdin got to know his mentor and friend even more. It was nice to have another person to talk too and confide in. His friends were great but outside of Jasmine and The Sultan, they weren't humans who could really relate. Plus, Jasmine and The Sultan were royalty and weren't normal people clearly. He never could confide in anyone like him. A regular guy who ain't anything special. A street rat like himself. It felt good.

"Anyways time to get serious kid. I got your next opponent." Genki said sitting up.

This got Aladdin's attention.

"This is the guy. His name is Rakim. He's around your weight. You'll be fighting in a preliminary match. This isn't like in the cage. This is the boxing I was telling you about." Genki said showing Aladdin his picture.

"He looks strong old man." Aladdin replied a little concerned.

"Yeah he is. He's 7-0."

"And you want me to fight him even though I ain't been in a ring before?"

"Yep." Genki replied happily going back to eating.

Aladdin said nothing as he continued to eat as well. The real challenge he was worried about was Jasmine. She was gonna kill him.

He said his goodbyes to Genki and walked back with Jordan to the Palace. That fight will be in a couple of months. And he would continue his training and underground battles.

Hopefully he would be able to actually tell Jasmine this time.

A/N: Sorry for the late update. I'm just trying to get a general sense of how to make the story go from here. Next will be the Prince Uncouthma storyline. So if anyone is wondering why I didn't make Aladdin tell Jasmine, the next chapter will be why. I'd advise you to watch "That Stinking Feeling" episode and you'll get an idea of what the next chapter will be like.
