(Camelot is Stolen and Ruber Attacks)

(Camelot, Night Time)

(No POV)

It's night time at Camelot, the rings on the magic stone still glowed bright. King Arthur, who ruled Camelot, called a meeting with his knights.

He called this meeting because it was ten years since Ruber, a former knight, had killed Lionel as he tried to defend his king.

"In the ten years since Sir Lionel's death, equality and freedom have spread throughout the lands. Excalibur has given us the strength to stand together against all injustice," Arthur said/

All the knights at the round table clapped together in agreement. "Camelot has prospered beyond our greatest dreams-" he continued, only to get interrupted by a loud crash from the ceiling.

There was a loud screech. The knights see that it was a large griffin. It had large black wings that extinguished the flames from the torches that sat above them. It was nearly dark.

The griffin was large brown creature with glowing green eyes that didn't have pupils. It's beak was orange with a golden-yellow tip, his eyelids and front wing sides, and his inner ears are purple.

The knights unsheathed their swords, ready to slay the beast. The griffin landed on the round table, closing its wings.

"It's a griffin," one knight loudly whispered. The griffin growled quietly, turning its head in Arthur's direction.

Arthur slowly reached behind him to get Excalibur, not making any sudden movements. But the griffin quickly snatched the sword with his beak before Arthur could touch it while it was still in its belt.

Arthur's chair was broken on top and his right arm was cut pretty badly. After grabbing the sword, the griffin flew up from the round table. Spears were thrown at the beast from the charging at it.

"It's taken Excalibur!" One knight shouted. "Arthur is wounded!" another shouted.

The other knights started assisting the king. "Nevermind me! Find Merlin and go after the sword!" Merlin shouted, groaning from the cut on his arm.

The griffin bursts from the tower, obliterating it as it screeched. The guards see this and start shooting arrows at the griffin, but it was flying too high to reach.

It flew over the borders and moat. One guard shouted to a guard on a tower that had a horn attached to it, "Send word across the land: Excaliburs been stolen!"

The other guard blew the horn as the drawbridge lowers down, letting knights ride out on horseback.

Merlin, who wore a green robe, apprears on the tower. "Silverwings, protect the sword!" he said, holding up his wooden staff.

The griffin was flying way above a place called The Forbidden Forest with the sword held in his talons.

He didn't see the falcon flying towards it, a glint of silver flashing from its wings. The falcon attacked the griffin. The falcon's name is Ayden, the falcon with the silver wings.

He had swooped through the sky and grabbed the griffin by his face again, making him drop the sword into The Forbidden Forest below him.

The griffin looked down and saw the sword falling into the forest, so he twisted his whole body around and flew down towards the sword.

It broke through some long and sharp thorns. Then, several thorned covered hands broke through the patch of thorns, reaching for the griffin.

The griffin screeched and his green eyes widened in shock. He tried flying away from them, but a hand grabbed his wing by it's feathers.

Another hand grabbed his other wing, but he screeched and fought off the hands, flying away. He forgot about the sword at that point.

Aydan called out and and flew away, his wings glinting with silver. Camelot's horn blows throughout the land, letting everyone know what had happened.

A farmer was harvesting wheat when he heard it. "Excalibar! It's been stolen!" he announced.

(At the Farm)

(Adryan's POV)

Kayley was collecting eggs and I was taking care of my horse, now a black and white clydesdale horse. He is black with white stockings on his large hooves and a large stripe down his face.

His long, black mane covered his dark eyes, so I would have to move his mane every now and then. I was brushing his right shoulder while he was eating the hay I gave him that morning.

There was a distant horn coming from Camelot's direction, making me stop brushing my horse.

I drop the brush and ran out to where my sister was, who had heard the horn also. "Kayley, did you hear that?" I asked, slightly panicked.

"Yes, I did! We need to warn mother!" she replied, running to the house. I waited a moment before going.

Mother wouldn't listen to us if we told her. I already knew what she was going to say about all of this.

I open the door and see mother sewing a dress. "No! Absolutely not!" Mother shouted. Kayley explained what was happening; I knew she was going to do that.

"But Mother, Adryan and I heard the horn! Excaliber is missing! We have to go after it!" Kayley protested. I walked over to my sister, and put my hand on her shoulder.

"Sister, we both know that King Arthur will take care of it," I tell her. "Precisely! That's a job for knights, not for a young woman. Ardyan should do it," Mother objected.

As much as it was my dream to be a knight at the round table, father's death ten years ago made me realize that I needed to be here with my family. Taking care of them was what I needed to do; it's what father would've wanted me to do.

"But, Mother, I couldn't. You know I have to take care of you and Kayley. I always wanted to be one when I was a kid. But this is different now;" I tell her. "You know that I want to be a knight too!" Kayley exclaimed.

The seamstress started to measure Kayley for the dress before measuring the dress. "Adryan always wanted to go on adventures, fighting evil, rescuing damsels in distress. What is a damsel, anyway?" Kayley asked.

"It's a young woman who is not married and is in trouble," Mother answered, bringing the dress over to Kayley and started to slip the dress onto her with the help of the seamstress.

"Now, Kayley, stand still and try on your new dress," Mother said, struggling to get it on her.

When Kayley's head popped through the head hole of the dress, she started talking again. "Mother, I don't want a new dress! I want to save Camelot! If you'd just let me, I know I'd find Excalibar all on my own," she complained.

"Kayley, your brother is right, the knights will work together to retrieve it," Mother said. Kayley groaned in an irritated way and takes Father's shield from another seamstress

"While we both work here doing the chores, fetching the eggs, taking care of the house, boring! *Gives shield back* Where's the glory in that?" Kayley said, crossing her arms.

Mother puts a hand on my sister's cheek and she looks at her. "Kayley, one day you two will learn what Camelot means. Til then, you two will stay with me," Mother said.

Kayley groaned and pushed away from mother's grasp. "Alright!" she relented, taking the dress off and taking off outside.

Mother sighed and looked at the tapestry that was hanging from a wall that had her, father, Kayley, and I stitched on it. "What would you do?" she asked, hanging her head.

I saw the desperation in mother's eyes and I walked over to her. "Mother, I'll go talk with her.

I know how much she wants to, but father wouldn't want her to put herself at risk like this," I say.

Mother smiled at me and hugged me for a moment. "Thank you, my son. See if you can change her mind," Mother said, putting a hand on my face. I smiled back, pulling away from her.

(Outside)

Kayley was collecting eggs from the chicken coop when I walked outside. The chickens were being silly as usual. The big female chicken was angry at the rooster because he was flirting with the other chickens.

"Kayley, can we talk for just a moment?" I say, walking over to her as our rooster jumped into her arms. "What about?" she asked, setting the rooster down.

"You know what. Don't fool me, sister," I reply, hands on my hips. "Adryan, how are we ever going to do great things if we're left here with these silly chickens?" she asked, not hiding her feelings about it.

"Kayley, I know that you want to get Excalibur, but going after it means big risks," I tell her. "What risks?" she asked.

"Well, it-" I started, but I stopped when I saw a shadow appear on the wall of the chicken coop.

The rooster screeched in fear.

Kayley and I turn around with a gasp.

(No one POV)

Inside the house, the windows were shot out with flaming arrows. Large flames broke the front door down. One arrow strikes the table, scaring Lady Juliana.

Many barbaric men run through the doorway, brandishing weapons. Then a man in red armor with a horned helmet entered the house.

"Knock, knock," he said from behind the helmet. Julianna took a step forward towards the figure. "Who... Who are you?" she asked.

The man removed his helmet, revealing it to be someone Julianna knows. "Ruber!" Julianna shouted in fury.

Ruber was one of the former knights of the round table. Ruber was slender yet strong with greenish skin, big shoulders, long reddish-orange hair that was thinning on top. It matched his thin and long eyebrows which nearly forms to a unibrow, protruded forehead, green eyes with small pupils and slightly yellowish scleras, greyish-purple circles around his eyes and jagged broken fingernails.

"Julianna. I was in the neighborhood and I thought I'd invade. How about a little kiss? I hear you're still single," he said, walking over to her and putting a hand under her chin.

Julianna slapped his hand away harshly. "Impertinent pig!" she shouted in digust. "Is that a no?" Ruber asked, walking passed her.

"I demand you leave immediately!" Julianna shouted. "So rude. I came all this way just to see you," Ruber said, laughing mockingly.

"What do you want here?" Julianna asked. "Camelot," Ruber answered.

Let's go back to war and violence

I'm so bored

With peace and

In fear, one servant dropped a metal cup to the floor. "SILENCE!!!" Ruber shouted at them. The servant went to his family, protecting them.

Knights of evil

filled with fear

Your worst dream

That's my idea of fun

Ruber looked at Lionel's shield on the wall before throwing it across the dining table.

Julianna catches it and glared at him. "You're mad!" she exclaimed.

"Oh, I'm so glad you've noticed. *Right eye twitches* I've been working on it for years!" Ruber commented.

Let darkness find its ways

Let's go back to the good old days

No more foolish acts of kindness

He put his foot on the table, making it tilt upwards. He made a sword, which was sitting at the end of the table, fly across the room. He catches it swiftly.

Arthur and his kingdom will be mine

Ruber then walks over to the tapestry and cuts it on the section where Adryan and Kayley were depicted on it. "And pretty Julianna, you're going to help me," he said.

Julianna glared at him, gritting her teeth. "I would sooner die!" She shouted.

I think you'll find you won't be able to resist!" he shouted.

He picked up the cut tapestry, held it up and used the sword to decapitate their heads on the

tapestry.

Julianna gasped in shock, covering her mouth with both hands.

(Adryan POV)

Outside, Kayley and I were grabbed by three burly looking men. I was grabbed by the neck when I tried to protect my sister.

The guy wrapped his meaty arm around my neck. The man wasn't choking me, but it was a strength that kept me from moving, no matter how much I struggled.

"Let her go! Let her go!" I shouted in anger, teeth gritted. I watched helplessly as Kayley was dragged away towards the house.

I needed to protect my sister and my mother. But all I could do was demand for my sister to be left alone, but that only did little.

I was dragged to the house, arm still around my neck. We were both dragged inside of the house, seeing more men.

There leader, who was Ruber I have heard, was standing in the middle of the room. "Mother!" Kayley shouted, struggling against the men.

"Mother!" I shouted, seeing the panic in her eyes. I saw the men holding Kayley throw her to the floor as Ruber tossed a sword to one of guys.

"Kayley!" I shouted, feeling angry. I was thrown to the ground and kicked in my stomach.

I cried out in pain and held my throbbiing abdomen. I didn't know who had hurt me, as the pain had rendered me in shock.

"Don't you dare harm my children!" Mother shouted as she was grabbed by the same men that grabbed Kayley.

I watched as Kayley grabbed a mace staff with spikes sticking out of it from one of the men and swung at him.

Ruber grabbed me by my throat, choking me. I grabbed his hand with both of mine, struggling to breathe.

"Follow my plan. *Grabs the mace with a hand.* And they won't be hurt," he said menacingly.

Ruber dropped me to the floor and I coughed and wheezed.

(Outside of the house)

We were all dragged outside and watched as Ruber construced his metal army. He even threw our rooster into it along with it along with an axe.

It turned it into a chicken/axe hybrid. Ruben called it Bladebeak. Kayley and I were hiding behind Mother.

She was being held by a man who wasn't turned to metal. "Mother?" I whispered. "Go to Camelot. Warn Arthur," Mother whispered to us.

"We can't leave you here," Kayley said. "Listen, Kaylee, and Adryan, Ruber will be in Camelot in three days. You two must get there before us. You two are our only hope," she said, looking over at us..

Kayley and I look at each other before looking at Mother. "Be safe, Mother," I said, taking Kayley by the hand.

We go through the fence and out of sight. "Be careful, dears," I hear Mother say as we left.
