Authors Note- Look! I have finally return to update this fic. I apologize for the absence been busy with life. But now that I am back I'll let you know that I don't own Transformers Prime. That belongs to Hasbro. While I only own Marley. And that we got that out of the way here is Chapter Two. I hope you enjoy.
Chapter Two: Project Nightbird.
Where was she? Marley groaned as she slowly began to rouse. What had happened? Green eyes blinked opened, and found them selves staring up at a slate grey ceiling. Groaning Marley winced as pain lanced through her head. Where was she? biting down on her bottom lip she moved to rub her throbbing head, and was startled to find that she couldn't move.
"Wh-what?" She croaked out, looking down she saw that she was strapped to some sort of medical table.
Her clothes were missing, leaving her in nothing but a thin gown. Her poor heart felt like it was about to burst from her chest, as she looked around once more. Spotting several men clad in dark outfits, wearing masks to obscure their features. All of them paying little to no attention to her. As she continued to look around. Her eyes immediately settling on the table next to her. Eyes widening when she saw the large purple and silver robot laying on the table. What was going on?
"I see that you're finally awake." A deep voice spoke, making Marley look to the right, seeing an older man moving towards her. His fingers trailing along the edge of the table she was strapped to.
His gaze was cold and calculating as he looked her over. Marley couldn't put her finger on it, but he made her skin crawl, and why shouldn't he? This guy, whoever he was, had kidnapped her, and now had her strapped to this cold, metal table. And was probably going to do god knew what to her. What was he going to do to her? Scenario after gruesome scenario played through her terrified mind, as she renewed her struggles.
"Where am I? What do you want with me?" She asked, unable to keep the fear from her voice, as she continued to struggle.
The man straightened, hands clasped behind his back, a faint smile on his scarred lips. "What we want is to give you a new life. A life you never thought imaginable." He leaned over her again, making her flinch.
His eyes then moved to what he hoped would be MECH's greatest project to date was. If all went to plan. "A life free of pain and suffering, Marley." He looked back to her. "When MECH is done you will be something far better than a mere human. You will be a living machine."
As he said that Marley looked to the large robotic body laying beside her. Were they planning on putting her in that thing? However, before she had a chance to utter a word he continued on. His fingers running through her hair, making her flinch away.
"By transferring your mind into that body."
Her blood ran cold as those words echoed all around her.
"Why?" she somehow managed to choke out. "Why are you doing this? Why me?"
The man was silent as he looked down at her. "Don't take it personally." He said, as he turned away from her. "You just had the worst...or in my opinion the best of luck out of all everyone else, well.." he trailed off, looking over his shoulder at her seeing the tears welling in her eyes. "If all goes well that is."
And with that he left, leaving Marley alone. She needed to get out of here. Biting down on her bottom lip she looked down at the restraints. Noting that they looked a bit complex than the ones she had seen before. How was she going to break free? She didn't see a latch, or how was she going to get out when-
"Silas." One of the masked men spoke, as he approached the man who had been talking to her.
So, she thought. His name is Silas, I'll remember that. She thought darkly, vowing that if she did get out of here, before they performed their sick experiments, she would make him and his goons pay. Gritting her teeth she struggled against the restraints once more, as the first person spoke again.
"We are prepared. All systems are a go." The masked lackey then looked to where Marley lay. "That is...assuming our guest of honor is..." She could almost hear the smile in the bastards voice.
Marley watched watched as Silas approached her once more, her heart pounding in her chest as he did.
"I hope you're ready," he said, pushing a few strands of hair from her eyes. Just as Marley took the chance to spit right in Silas' face.
Making him step back, and wipe his face with the back of his hand. "It seems you still have some fight left in you." Silas said. "Good, you'll need that." And with that he turned his back on Marley once more as he moved towards the console.
His heart thundered in his chest, as one of his men tapped something into the console, looking to Marley once more as she resumed her struggle.
"Commencing Project Nightbird." The man said, as he pressed the button that would change Marley's life forever.
The skies were stormy as Dreadwing soared through the sky. In the distance the seeker could hear thunder, a storm was coming. But despite that something seemed to bother him, as he transformed and landed. Finding himself surrounded by countless trees. His red optics scanning the area. He had been sent out by Lord Megatron to scout a new energon mine.
Something he knew was a task he could leave to the vehicons, but Dreadwing had insisted on leaving the base for some odd reason Dreadwing needed the leave the Nemesis. He couldn't put his finger on it. But, Dreadwing looked up at the overcast sky as the first few raindrops splattered onto his face plate. His optics narrowing. Something was amiss.
