(The battle D-Day)
The shores were calm yet rocky, the boat swayed left the right,

The people chosen to pitch for this landing were on edge, but they refused to show fear, that would only hinder the mission and make their fellow men at arms targets because of their failures.
So they pressed on,
"I can't see a damn thing in this fog." A wolf fanuas said trying to peer forward, as a Human gripped his shoulder,
"Shush…the Grimm will hear us," he said in a low whisper,
Suddenly there was a flash and a loud bang and the fog burned away like igniting the atmosphere.
It looked like pure hell for the men in the boats who could see it one second a blanket of fog, the next your on fucking fire,
It was Traumatizing.
Men screamed, cried for their mothers, and sobbed. Then once the entire fog was burned away and they realized they were fine they got over it, and stood up stone faced ready for battle In their moment of weakness. As courtesy to there fellow soldiers and to humanity,
The commander the same person who whispered to the man before to keep quiet Stood proudly,
"THATS THE SIGNAL MEN WE TAKE THAT BEACH WITHIN THE HOUR OR DIE TRYING! FOR HUMANITY AND FOR HOPE!" He roared as the boat chugged forward the rest of the fleet followed,
(James)
On the bridge of the ATT endurance James looked out of the big window and watched as the ships pushed towards the island
"This plan is suicidal." James said as he stepped away to a holo table showing the island and the entire fleet set up in a siege position around the island like a castle.
"It's all we have." Chief Holland said
"No it's not. Why can't we just obritate the island from afar we got the Coliseum we could use it." James said
"Because the info on the godhand state they won't be affected all it would appear to them is if a fly bit them it won't delay the sway of the gods it won't change the outcome. Only boots on the ground can." Chief Holland said
"Oh so you believe there rubbish now too?" James asked
"James…when you spoke to me about the guardsmen armor right? We're you lying?" ghost asked
"I…no never." James said
"Then for once James…believe." Chief Holland said
James sighed as he looked back at the table,
"You better get back to your ship, they'll need you." James said
"And they need you to focus…come on James we can win this." Chief Holland said as he started to flicker and vanish as he too was a holographic projection from the table.

Ruby entered the Armory to see her team and sister team readying up there gear, both teams wore there Skintight bodysuits that there armor attaches to,

"Now is everyone ready? Gear packed up?" Ruby asked
Yang riffled through her bandoliers of Rounds for ember Cilicia "all good here."
"Same here." Blake said
"I have enough dust to make ammo on the go so keep your brass everyone." Weiss said
"We will set up a Simi permanent workshop once we've secured a beachhead for you I have no doubt we will need it by the end." Guts said
(Midland)
Griffith sat on the throne in Falconia exhausted…
Charlotte looked at him in worry as did the rest of the court.
"Sir Griffith are you ok?" One of the Nobles asked he looked at the table to see a few others grimly nod to him
These were a group of conspirators who believed Griffith was actually evil and planned the downfall of Midland in the guise of saving it.
And they would've been right… 6 months ago… there plan was to assassinate him in a moment of weakness and retake the throne in prison Charlotte for insanity ( as clearly she wouldn't like Griffith assassinated) and rule the kingdom as Regent.
However Griffith wasn't Femto but he was nonetheless as hard to sneak up against.
Griffith raised his hand "I'm fine it's just…fighting a cosmic level Deity gaining power from Fear, Corruption and instability across another plane of existence is really tireing…" he said
The court and conspirators looked at each other perhaps they could lock up Griffith with the plea of insanity instead…
Suddenly the door barged open as a skeleton horse neighed making the guards and noble's jumped to there feet.
"Whos there?!" One of the nobles asked drawing his sword as he was a military general before Griffith elevated him to Councilor of war.
"Halt I bear a message to the king!" Skull knight said
Griffith stood up anxiously "report how goes the battle?"
Skull knight looked at Griffith his armor giving away nothing but everyone in the room could feel the tension in the air which was confirmed when skull knight spoke
"I have failed…" skull knight said
Griffith didn't seem all too surprised by this crossing his arms and nodding.
"So they've escaped?" Griffith asked
Skull knight nodded "yes."
Griffith looked up "what of the others?" Griffith asked
"Moping up the rest of the forces…although with the Godhand out of reach…" skull knight said
"We will just have to rely on Guts and the others…"Griffith said
Skull knight turned around but looked back at Griffith "do you really have that much fate in him?" He asked
"The question is…do you?" Griffith threw back at him.
Skull knight said nothing and just left the throne room leaving everyone else as if not more confused.
Charlotte held Griffiths hand
"What do we do?" She asked
"We've already gathered our armies for war, now it's time to train them for battle…" Griffith said
(Remnant)
Team RWBY Guts and JNPR were on the first transport bound for the second wave they didn't know what to expect they had lost contact with wave one once they landed on the beaches.
So they expect a contested beach landing
But nothing expected them for what they actually saw.
It was hell.
The Grimm were pouring out of the woodworks and several amalgamation's of Grimm which used long range attacks were entrenched and used as Heavy artillery.
Clearly Salem had updated her War doctrine recently.
Ruby grit her teeth as they swam towards the beachhead under fire
"I expected a bit of a contest but not this." Ruby said as one of the boats next to her was blown to smitherliens in one blast showering there boat with blood, guts and shrapnel.
"Damn it we need to speed up otherwise we are dead in the water." Ruby said
"We can't we don't have Naval support!" Weiss argued
"If we don't go now all our beach landers will sink before we hit the sand we need to go now!" Ruby snapped as the boat hit the water and chugged forward
The rest of the fleet fell in line as well.
Wave two was on its way.
Ruby grit her teeth as she noticed the Nevermore's circling above like Raptor's looking for prey.
"Get ready for landing!" Ruby screamed over the noise of the explosions
"Ruby…" Yang said as she looked up
Ruby followed and saw a large boulder falling upon them.
Crash!
(Salem)
Salem watched from afar as the second wave was decimated leaving no hope for the survivors on the beach.
"Alright tell the Grimm to sweep in and mop up the rest." Salem ordered as her Avatar disappeared.
(Ruby)
Ruby Rose laid on the beach knocked out as The tide rolled in tickling Ruby's nose she coughed as she forced herself to move.
She looked around at the hall on the battlefield
Many of the First wave has been killed and those who were not were huddled together trying to defend the wounded.
Ruby looked over to see her team was no where to be found
'Damn it.' She hissed as she changed Crecent Rose into her scythe and got a dark gleam in her eyes as she jumped into the Frey her Scythe overhead held like an axe and her face covered in shadow. The only noticeable feature was a Gleaming Eye not covered by her bags as well as a Wolf smile.
The soldiers attested to this as in there records they stated they were about to fall when suddenly this red Tornado appeared before them and suddenly there wasn't a grimm around them. And Ruby was gone.
(Blake)
Blake groaned awake but alert fast as she looked around and noticed why as she looked over to see the carage in Ruby's wake. She was pissed… and not something Blake wanted to mess with. So she stuck to the shadows and tracks the Grimm advance. So she could update her Leader once the situation was over.
However as she could tell it wasn't good
It looked as if only there ship was the one that made it to the beach and everyone else was lost as sea…
Meaning for right now they were stranded…
And the Grimm were preparing for a large counterattack to drive them back to. If something wasn't done quickly this assault would be a disaster.
(Yang)
Yang wakes up, looks for Ruby frantically up and down the beach in a panic unable to focus or cope with the fact her sister the leader of this could be dead. However she steels herself when she looks up and sees an old enemy walking along the beach
Marko.
And he was approaching with A rifle someone she reconized
Weiss… who was unaware of his approach.
seeing Weiss in trouble., she charged right in..
(Weiss)
Weiss woke up and groaned she held a splitting headache and for once she didn't care how she was dressed.
She looked around and noticed her Rapier nearby as she grabbed it.
Only for another foot to step on it
Marko.
"Your supposed to be dead." She said to him
Marko held his rifle towards her.
"Don't sound so disappointed, you'll make me cry… where's The General?" he snapped
"Ironwood why would you care about him now?!" Weiss asked
Marko tisked "oh poor Weiss…." He said
Suddenly behind him Yang ran up and punched him sending him flying. As she stood between the two.
Weiss got to her knees "Yang!" She said
Yang looked over her shoulder back at her "you alright?"
Weiss nodded "where's Blake?" as she grabbed her weapon
"Not sure we're on our own for now." Yang said
"Together then?" Weiss asked
(Tex vs wash& Meta= Marko vs Weiss and Yang.)
Yang looked over to Marko and taunted her to charge as she took the bait! And charged
However she was sent into the Sand easily by one punch from Marko. As she got up and rushed again
Weiss looked over thinking of ways that she could help without risking hurting Yang.
Yang through punch after punch but Marko evaded each of them. As Marko countered with a punch to the throat followed with a grapple to his knee and a kick sending Yang flying.
Marko stepped away and held his arm out and from there he activated his semblance
Weapon Fusion. So long as he thought of any weapon he could use it and make a perfect recreation of it from his aura. The only downside is he used His Aura as an ammo gauge too using the weapons.
In his hands appeared a chain gun as he swung it around and opening fire
Yang bolted Across the beach as other soldiers tried to charge at Marko but as he swung the gun around he gunned them down and followed Yang as she threw herself behind some of the wreckage of a Transport ship.
Marko kept firing at her hoping to shot through the metal first but he realized he was running out of Aura so he stalled
This gave Yang a chance to peak out and fire several rounds with ember celica at him
Marko dropped the chain gun and hid behind another Broken Transport ship and used his semblance to break down the chain gun and make two assault rifle's which he opened fired at Yang again
However Weiss had Gotten her weapon and lunged at Marko which disarmed him of one of his Weapons as she pulled back to make another lunge he dodged out of the way, as she tried again this time he slapped her rapier out of her hands making her run after it! Knowing she was shit at CQC if she were to use her A1 pistol she'd be disarmed in a second and used as a hostage against Yang. As Marko Turned around to face Yang she lunged at Marko giving Weiss time to get away.
"Ruby!" Blake said as she ran to Ruby who was off to the side out of breath. On her knees spread and hunched over. If it wasn't obvious she wasn't in danger Blake would say she looked kinda sexy in that pose if it was just the skintight suit.
"Blake! Oh my god ow!" Ruby snapped her head around before she hissed and grabbed her chest in pain.
"Are you alright?" Blake asked as she crouched with her
Ruby panted "n-not sure…I feel exhausted and I can barely move…it hurts to breath…" Ruby said
Blake grabbed her arm which made Ruby groan as she looked at what was wrong
"Oh girl really?" Blake sighed
"What?" Ruby asked
Blake showed Ruby the Screen on her Armor mantance screen.

Recommendation Unit is in severe danger take off the battlefield and allow for unit to recharge Aura for suit to turn back on (recommendation 20%)
Ruby looked shocked at the screen
"Oh." She said blinking owlishly
Blake let out a hiss as she dropped her arm making Ruby grunt feeling the full weight of the suit on her.
"Yeah you exhausted your aura it's a wonder that you didn't break your arm from micro twitching." Blake said
Ruby looked over to see Weiss and Yang fighting Marko
"We've gotta help them." Ruby said as she struggled to stand
Blake kept her down
"Your not going anywhere! You sit still and wait for your suit to recharge! Honestly how you were able to exhaust both your Sexual drive and Aura Drive is an wonder to me."
Ruby blushed "well Um I got really angry which gave me the bonus of doubling my Aura output for a while but then once it ran out well I landed like this." Ruby said
Blake rolled her eyes "basically you've pulled a Guts."
Ruby blushed harder if that were possible
"You make it see like that's a bad thing?" Ruby moaned
Blake wanted to argue but they had more important things to deal with.
"Have you seen Guts?" Ruby asked
Blake shook her head "not a word."
Ruby sighed "I just hope he's ok." Any news on the rest of the second wave?"
Blake cringed knowing Ruby wouldn't take this news well.
"We've been Decimated." The only numbers we have is those who's left of the first wave so about 50 and us and a small pocket that were on our craft or around it we about total around 100 in strength now."
Ruby looked at Blake in horror.
"Oh shit it's all my fault…" she said
Blake had no words for her. Both looked Back with the fight against Marko
Yang was wrestling on top of Marko holding his gun off to the side, Marko gets his Foot under her and he kicks her away. Allowing him to get up. And grab something on his waist and hold it up.
Weiss ran over and stood next to Yang
"Is that a-?" She asked
Marko pulled a O ring at the bottom of the tube making a spark and a mortar shell fly up and explode in the air.
And from behind them in the forest all the Grimm hiding in the shadows revealed themselves with their glowing red eyes.
A loud roar was heard from among them as they charged towards the beach.
Yang and Weiss reacted quickly knowing they wouldn't do much good against the Grimm if Marko got away they both rushed him.
Weiss got there first as she lunged but Overextended allowing Marko to grab her shoulder and push her away making her fall and drop her weapon, He planned for Weiss to knock into Yang but she jumped over Weiss and try to hit him in the head. He guarded against it and stumbled back as Yang followed up with grabbing Weisses weapon and taking a lunge making Marko Jump back which was followed up by Weiss jumping forward to land a kick on Marko. And a few punches in a flurry which Marko parried Weiss followed up with a kick which Marko parried and countered with a punch to Weisses Left side making her Land on her back
Weiss was forced to Roll as a Beowolf lunged at her on her back while she was weaponless but Yang vaulted over the Beowolf and killing it before tossing Weiss her weapon back which she caught and continued the assault on Marko fluidly with a kick sending him back as an Ursa tried to attack Yang and get in the way of the two she sent a single punch at the beast which went flying at Marko as he jumped over it. As another Grimm grabbed him and tried to pull him out of there to Evac.
However Weiss wasn't having it as she ran up the back of another Grimm a crocodile or something like that and blasted several loads of dust at Marko killing the Grimm forcing him to jump down to try to get away.
Weiss followed as Yang was forced to try to stem the tide of the Grimm. For a moment to let them breath.
Marko turned around and order a Grimm Nevermore to charged at Weiss which she ducked Yang landed on it a second later blasted it with her Weapon killing it and lunging at Marko.
Marko ran up the back of a Goliath and intercepted Yang in midair. As he grabbed Yang by the chin and carried her down on his back as he landed popping Yangs back making her scream as Marko kicked her away. Towards Weiss
Weiss rolled to the side and launched several Dust blasts at Marko.
Marko sighed as he tried to make his getaway as he triggered an explosion and a wall of fire as he made his way towards it in a run.
However Weiss was too quick as she drew her A1 pistol and fired several rounds at Marko
She was lucky and got him in the shoulder. Making him fall on the other side of the flame's
However it was at the point the Grimm charged at them out of the woodwork as several tried to retrieve Marko's body
Weiss and Yang looked at each other before they ran after Marko intent on making sure he didn't escape.
Yang charged Head through the fire not caring about the damage as she shoulder checked Marko in the back making him fall. Weiss hissed as Yangs impulsiveness as she used her weapon to extinguish a space where she could climb out easily
Unfortunately for them that only seemed to buy Marko more time.
Time they desperately needed to Quell.
Weiss looked over in horror as she saw Marko held Yang by the throat
"See what your failure has done to her." He said as he held a vial of Glass with black ooze in it. He crushed it in his hand and then forced it down yangs throat with a punch
"YANG!" Weiss called as Marko dropped her and started to walk away.
"Bye now." He said as he was swallowed up by some Grimm and escaped into the forest.
Weiss looked at Yang stunned as she ran forward.
"Yang are you ok?!" Weiss asked as she ran to her and grabbed her shoulder
Yang sent her arm back to weiss sending her flying.
"Yang!" Weiss called Yang growled like a Grimm and stepped forward her eyes now starting to glow red.
"I know your in there Yang. I just know, I'll never believe, I don't believe… I don't believe it." Weiss said
Behind her was an entire Atlas air wing of gunships Mantas and an air Carrier leading the charge.
Inside the lead gunship was a rag tag team of Red and Blue colored Atlas troopers ( although one also seemed to be orange for some reason who was flying) one of the red ones with grey stubble yelled pointing at the cockpit window
"There they are land right next to them." He said
"Right…land." The orange one said as he started to look around the one in red who ordered it looked at orange.
"You do know how to land this vehicle don't yah?" He asked
The orange guy shrugged "sure that just means stop flying right?"
The old guy yelled
"Brace for impact!"
"Aw shit this is gonna suck!" A blue trooper said
"I'm still waiting on my peanuts!" One with dark blue armor huddled in the corner sucking his thumb.
On the beach the gunship flew right at both Yang and Weiss
Weiss watched in horror as Yang turned on a dime and threw her fist at the cockpit and fired her gun. The explosion could be seen in the air.
In the Air standing in the Viewport of the ATT Endurance James sighed at the explodsion on the beach.
"What a bunch of idiots…" he looked over his shoulder and told the Air traffic command "tell our wings to hold the skies I don't want a single Nevermore spotted tomorrow." James said
The air controller nodded and pressed the orders.
As the rest of the Gunships and mantas flew off to engage the Air Grimm.
On the beach Wiess was dazed hurt and probably crippled but alive
She looked over to see A figure approaching her
Weiss looked around desperately to try to find something to defend herself with the the figure was too quick on her as they crashed into her
It was Yang
"Weiss your alive!" Yang said
"Yang is that you?" Weiss asked
Yang nodded "the explosion destroyed the Grimm but my suit and aura saved me thankfully." She said
Weiss and Yang hugged as they stood up
"We need to find the others." Weiss said panting
"Or you could wait till they find you." A voice said behind them as they turned and saw Blake and Ruby crouching ruby looking as tired as Weiss
"Honestly your not being subtle." Blake said
"Meh never my strong suit." Yang shrugged
"We've noticed…" the other three said
"Has anyone seen Guts?" Ruby asked
Everyone shook there head no.
Ruby looked worried.
"We need to find him…but we can't let this battle get away from us…have everyone gather on the beach. We are making camp for the day. We will search for Guts tomorrow." Ruby said
"Ruby there is still time." Blake said
"I'm not risking us being beaten back into the water for a search party, guts can't handle himself…hopefully." Ruby said
