Chapter 16, Believe in me

Jack and Elsa ran up the stairway, where over to the fire place of North's workshop.

"Where are we going?" Elsa asked, curiously.

Jack turned to her

"I need to show you something." Jack insisted.

"Wait here a sec."

Jack they turned and walked over to the fireplace. Over the ledge, were three separate snow globes North usually used to teleport places. He came over to the globes, where he took two of the snow globes. Much to the dismay of one of the yetis, who were tending to the fire. The yeti grumbled to him.

Jack smiled, shaking his head.

"Hey, don't worry, I'm just barrowing a few." Jack insisted to him.

The yeti continue to mumble on. Only for Jack to ignore him as he walked back to Elsa.

"Jack, what are you doing with that?" Elsa asked, curiously.

"Just watch." Jack insisted to her.

He held up one of the globes.

"Burgess." Jack said.

It was there from within the globe that the two of Burgess formed before their eyes. Elsa was speechless and in awe. Seeing the small town from within this small glass ball in Jack's own hand.

"That's... amazing, Jack." Jack said, glancing up to him.

Jack glanced to her with a smirk.

"That's not all." Jack insisted.

Jack then turned forward as he threw the sphere, which then exploded to form a portal before them. Jack then turned to her, offering her his hand.

"Come on." Jack insisted to her.

Elsa hesitated for a moment. Her eyes shifting from Jack to the portal behind him, deciding where or not to take his hand and trust him. Was if safe? What was on the other side?

"Are you... sure about this?" Elsa asked, curiously.

Jack gestured a nod of his head, continuing to hold out his hand to her.

"Don't worry, Elsa, it's fine," Jack insisted.

"This is usually how we get around the world. Trust me."

Elsa glanced up to Jack with those crystal blue eyes. She then slowly reached up her hand and took hold of his. It was then Jack pulled Elsa to him, wrapping his strong arms around her. Elsa felt her cheeks blush a bright red, feeling herself pressed up against his body. While his very touch was as cold as ice, she also felt strange warmth at the same time.

"Hold on!" Jack proclaimed.

"Wait... what are you-"

Jack suddenly leaped up into the air, causing Elsa to gasp, wrapping her arms around his neck. She glanced down and saw they were two feet off the ground.

"How are you...?" she asked, glancing up to him.

"Just hold on!" Jack proclaimed before gliding them both into the portal.

In the park at the center of Burgess, the portal appeared and from it, Jack and Elsa emerged. They then flew up and landed before the statue as the portal disappeared. Jack glanced down at Elsa, who was still clinging hold of him.

"Hey, you alright?" Jack asked, curiously.

Elsa glanced up, cocking her head as she glanced up at Jack. Realizing what she was doing, she immediately let go of him, glancing to the side as she drift some of her hair behind her ear.

"Sorry." She said, blushing red.

Elsa looked up at the town around her. The very town that she had hid away from since coming here. Still raddled by the notion that Jack

Needless to say, the snow Queen was bewildered and in awe at the sights around her. The tall buildings. The people walking around wearing such strange clothes. Riding what looked to be horseless carnages. Elsa was both curious and overwhelmed at all the sights. She was amazed. Bur at the same time, nervous at this new World.

Jack came up to her, seeing her gazing around the town in awe. Judging by her reaction, she probably never got out of the castle much. This whole town seemed strange to her. He sure knew that feeling, especially after all the years he spent seeing the world he once more change so much.

"It's funny how so much can change, huh?" Jack asked, curiously.

"This place... is so strange." Elsa proclaimed to her.

Jack chuckled, nodding his head in agreement.

"Yeah, I know what you mean." Jack said, turning to gaze up at the statue behind them.

"Don't worry, I was the same way. It takes some getting used to."

Jack then turned back to Elsa, who continued to stare ahead into town. Only to be met with curiosity and nervousness. Rather it was a saddened gaze as Elsa's eye narrowed. Jack turned to her, frowning.

"What's wrong?" Jack asked, curiously.

El?"

Elsa paused for a moment. She then looked back to him, revealing her sadden gazed to him.

"So much had changed since I last saw the world..." Elsa insisted to her.

"Everyone I knew is now... gone."

There was a moments pause from Elsa, having remembered Arrendelle long ago. Seeing how much the world had changed since she had come from the enchanted forest. It was all so strange to her and she had hidden away from it for so long. As if to keep the reality that the world she once knew was now forever gone. The ones she had loved were forever lost to the ravages of time itself.

Seeing it all now, the new and strange time they were in, it only reminded her of that very pain.

She glanced up to him.

"How am I supposed to find my purpose here?" she asked, curiously.

Jack narrowed his eyes for moment. He couldn't say for sure, but he knew the only way to find Elsa's purpose was through the children themselves. If she was chosen to be a Guardian, then it must mean that the Children were only way for them to find out what her purpose was.

"I know it all seems overwhelming, El," Jack insisted to her.

"But I promise you... I know that if we can find you purpose anywhere, it's here. And I'll do anything to help you find out what it is."

Jack came in front of Elsa, placing his hand over her bear shoulders. His very touch caused Elsa's heart to flutter.

"You have to believe in me." He said.

The handsome gaze of the winter sprite all but left Elsa speechless for a moment. Feeling his touch, hearing say that he would do anything to help her and asking her to believe in him. Yes! She would do anything for him.

"Yes." she said with a nod of her head.

The sound of children's laugher could be heard nearby. Jack and Elsa glanced across the street, where they saw Jamie and his friends making their way across the street.

"Come on, guys!" Jamie called to his friends.

Jack glanced down at Elsa, smirking.

"Follow me." He said, taking her by the hand and guided her along.

Jack and Elsa landed over the side walk near the spot where Jamie and his friends usually played. Overhead they could see the six of them having a snow ball fight. What they normally like to do on a snow days like this. Seeing Jamie and his friends playing, the Snow Queen was starstruck. Elsa turned from Jack, looking out over the field at the children. The Snow Queen so speechless.

Aside from Jamie, it had been so long since she had seen children. The years since she had first left the enchanted forest she had spent in isolation. Unseen by this new world. Seeing them playing in the snow reminded her of all the times she and Anna played together all those years ago. She couldn't help but smile, cupping her hands against her chest.

Jack glanced to her, smiling before taking her by the hand.

"Come on!" He said, pulling Elsa along.

"Jack, wait." Elsa said.

"They won't see me."

"Don't worry," Jack reassured her.

"I think I can help with that."

Jamie tossed another snow ball at Caleb and Claude, who ducked down behind their snow fort for cover, laughing.

"Jamie!" Jack called out.

Jamie looked back, where he saw Jack and Elsa coming up behind him.

"Jack, Elsa!" He said.

Pippa and the others turned and saw Jack coming, appearing as if he was holding someone's hand. But Unlike Jamie, they couldn't see who it was.

"Jack!" Pippa said.

Jamie came up to the winter spirits. He glanced up to Elsa.

"I can't believe it, you came!" He said to Elsa.

Elsa eyes sifted to the side for just a moment as a smile formed over his face. While she was still nervous about being outside her ice castle, being here with Jack and Jamie made it all the more worth while. Jack turned to her, nodding his head down to him.

Jamie turned back to his friends, who came up behind him.

"Guys she's here!" He proclaimed to his friends

"She's here!"

"Who's here, Jamie?" Pippa asked, curiously.

"Elsa, she here!" Jamie continued to to proclaim.

"Tell them, Jack!"

Jack turned to Elsa. He then nodded his head to her.

"Go ahead, Elsa, show them." He insisted to her.

Elsa shifted her eyes down at the Jamie and his friends. While she was hesitant at first to reveal her powers and herself to them, seeing Jamie glancing up at him with hopeful eyes. The same look that Anna had showed her long ago. As if her younger sister resided within this little boy. And not just Jamie, but Jack as well.

Turning to Jack, she saw him gesture a nod of his head. As if to encourage her to try.

"Believe in me." He reminded her.

She then closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. Deciding to place all her trust in them. Knowing that Anna herself would have wanted her to.

Elsa stepped forward to her toward Jamie and her friends, still unnoticed by his friends. And from her opened palm, she gestured several gusts of magical snow flakes before their young eyes. And as luck would have it, the sudden gust of snowflake from thin air had indeed caught the attention of Jamie's friends.

Elsa paused for a moment, seeing them looking up in awe. They glanced back over at Jack, who shook his head holding up his hands to them. As if to say it wasn't him.

"Don't look at me, I'm not the one doing this." Jack insisted to them.

Jack then turned to her, egging her to show them more.

"Go on, El!" He whispered to him.

Elsa turned forward. All sense of fear and hesitation finally lost at the sight of the children's awe and anticipation. In it's place, the excitement and anticipation of showing off her powers like back at the castle. Elsa continued to create small flurry's of snowflakes, causing Jamie's friends to all gasp in awe and amazement. She then twirled one hand over the other, creating a small gust of her magic. Jamie and his friends came up in awe and amazement.

"Wow." Pippa said.

"Are you guys seeing this?" Caleb said.

Elsa glanced to them, smirking. Through the narrow space between Jamie and his friends she shot passed the six friends and formed a small snowman that resembled Olaf. Jamie and the other kids rushed over to the small snowman.

"Wow, did you guys see that!" Jamie said, excitedly.

"Now way!" Claude said.

"How did that..."

"I told you guys, it's Elsa!" Jamie insisted to them.

"She's real!"

Jack came up behind the six friends.

"Jamie's right, Elsa's here." He said, glancing back to her.

"And she's real."

Jack's gaze once more cause Elsa's heart to beat ever so faster. Pippa and the other gazes were fixed upon Jack for a moment, curiously. Before then turning to where he looked. Suddenly, they froze, their faces in awe. Elsa turned to them seeing them looking at her general direction.

"El-Elsa?" Pippa said.

Hearing the girl say her name, Elsa eyes widened. She turned to Jack.

"Did she...?" She asked.

Jack nodded his head.

Elsa turned back to the six children, their gazes continued to be gestured to her. Their looks of awe then turned to smiles of amazement.

"No way!" Caleb said.

"She's real!" Cupcake said.

"She's real?!" Monty said.

"I told you guys!" Jamie proclaimed to them.

"I told you!"

A small smile formed over the face of the Snow Queen. One that caught the glance of Jack, who became more memorized by the beauty of the snow queen. And caused his very heart to sour. A sight he now wanted to see more then anything and would do anything to see.

Having a sudden idea, Jack then turned to Jamie and his friends.

"Hey, who's up for another snowball fight!" He proclaimed.

The mention of having a snowball fight, caused Jamie and his friends to gasp and run off toward their snow forts. Jack then turned to Elsa, smirking.

"What do you say, snowflake?" Jack said, grinning.

Elsa squinted her eyes to him, smiling.

"Is that challenge, Mr. Frost?" She asked.

Jack smiled before leaping into the air and flying off into the field. Elsa chuckled and chased after him.
