I wanted to delete the new story I was making because I stressed myself out with it and the document made me restart half of the first chapter (even tho I saved it) so I tried a different idea! The next day, Molly was leaving. She had to go back to BubbleTucky since she still has school and had to study so that in college, it would be easier for her soon. Gil was upset, but he knew that this was important for her and even though he was now homeschooled, he felt like going with her. "You'll come back soon, right?" He asked. "Of course, Gilly! I promise I'll call you and text you everyday!" She replied with a smile. "It's just so boring without you or our friends.." "I know..but don't worry! Our time will come! It isn't the end is it?" "Yeah. You're right." Gil smiled. As they kissed each other goodbye, Gil went back to his place noticing that there was a car parked right next to his mom's car. He wasn't pleased with it at all and knew exactly who came to visit.
As the young male opened the door, he noticed that his mother along with her co-worker, Blake, were laughing. He HATED it, but decided not to say anything. He tried to avoid it by walking to his room pretending he didn't hear them until..."Oh, Gil, wait!" Gil turned back just to see that it was Blake calling him. "Do you still wanna practice sports or maybe another day?" He asked. "Actually, Blake, maybe another day!" Bella said. "I have to talk with my son for a bit is that okay?" "Sure!" As Bella took his son to his room, she closed the door and crossed her arms. Gil looked away with an angry look on his face. "Don't give me that attitude, young man! You know why I'm talking to you!" She yelled. "For these past few weeks, you've been acting all mean and greedy to not only me, but to Blake! You don't see me acting like that with you and Molly, do you?!" Gil didn't say anything. He just listened. "Fine...if you don't wanna talk, don't talk, but let me tell you something, Gil and I suggest you to listen! I don't care if you hate him or not, but Blake isn't like your dad! If you want your dad more than him, go with him then! But Blake is a gentle, caring man I've ever met and he went through so much before he got divorced!" "OH, AND THAT MATTERS MORE THAN YOUR SON?!" Gil screamed. "What..?" Bella said softly. "Admit it, Mom! Now, that you found yourself a "BoYfRiEnD," you care about sharing your life with him while making me feel excluded! You're just like dad! You never gave a sh*t about me at all, did you?! It's all about Blake! Blake this, Blake that! Blake! Blake! Blake! BUT WHERE'S ME, HUH?!" At this point, he started to shed tears. Maybe Gil was jealous that his mom was finally finding herself a new lover, but it was mostly because he felt excluded that she seemed to assume that Blake mattered more than her own kid. That's why he hated his guts. "Gil, I..I'm sorry..I didn't realize how much this was affecting you.." "Well, now you do..and I'd rather not expect you to care..you hardly do.." "That's not true!" She replied. "I raised you because your father couldn't. Your dad never wanted us..He kept cheating on me and abusing me and so much worse and let me tell you something.." Gil looked at her. "Your dad raped me.." Gil was in utter shock. He didn't know what to say. His mother raped by his own father?! He assumed it was a joke until he remembered the amount of brusies his dad gave her. "That's how I was pregnant with you.." She said. "Honey, I am SO sorry for everything that's happened..I know I should've told you sooner and I know I should've been a good mother..but it was only to protect you..but now, I've realized that I failed.." It was silent. Gil didn't know what to say. He felt guilty for blaming his mother on every single mistake she's made even though she never insisted to do them. He hugged her tightly and said, "I'm sorry too..I never realized how much you're trying to make things better for us.." Then they both made eye contact. "If Blake makes you happy, then go for it, Mom... He does seem like a very cool guy. I just didn't want him to..you know..be like dad.." He said as he looked down. Bella smiled. "Don't worry, Gil. I won't let that happen ever again. You deserve all the happiness." She said. "So do you." "Say, how about we go somewhere to eat? Food's on me!" She said. Gil laughed and nodded. As they were on their way, Gil noticed the two smiling. Blake making the mother smile at his jokes caused the young teen to smile. His mother's happiness mattered to him. That's when he finally accepted her new relationship.
