Bonus Chapter VII: Shooting Star off the horizon

Star was glad that she took her fathers advice and didn't wear the shoes she normally wore. Fleeing from the ghosts and running away from St. Nora are so much easier in sneakers than in heals or Ballerinas. Her mind racing, afraid of the asylum, she ran and ran and ran, but soon, she needed to take a break.

She sat down, on the side of a land road, no cars near and looked into her backpack. She fished out her food she packed for the trip. To her surprise it was rotten, she threw it away, into a field. Good that she packed water. If she took juice like she planned, she won't have something to drink. She stopped herself from drinking it in one go. She doesn't know where she is, how far she is from civilization. She needs to ration her water.

Drinking a bit, she stood up and started to walk, just away, to arrive somewhere. She knows the United States are a massive country, even the states as big as other countries. She will walk for some time, she just hopes it will be over soon. She wants home, to her parents, to her pet cat. Just hiding in her bed, sleeping and wishing that the nightmare ends, to wake up and being late to Lancer's class, to see Nathan and Daniel prank Dan's cousin Hannah, to see Dale being a dick like always, Valerie talking with Danny's group, Liam and Sarah trying to save their grades. Just back to normal, out of this nightmare.

After a while, faster than she pleased, the sun started to set and it became dark. She continued to walk, partly because she still had adrenaline in her system, and partly because she is to afraid to stop, to rest, in the middle of nowhere. So she focused on coming forward...

She wasn't to sure how long she was walking, but she felt how hungry and tired she was, how thirsty she was, how cold her was. She soon saw lights, a small town, and she felt more energetic, knowing that she is a step closer, for whatever happens next. Nearing the town, she found the name, and it was surprisingly enough a town close-by Amity Park. Some even call it, as a joke, Amity's suburbia. Her aunt Jennifer lives there, not that she had much contact with that woman, her mother had an argument with her sister, with Jennifer.

After passing the border of the town, signaled by a billboard with the town's name on it, she found a newspaper on the floor. Normally, she would ignore stuff like this, but this newspaper had her class and the Fenton's printed on it. She was curious, confused even and picked it up. It wasn't much dirty or even wet, so it's fair to say it's still quite actual. She walked back to the billboard, as it is illuminated by lamps. Lamps that make reading easier.

The first thing she realized, the pictures were in fact her classmates and the Fenton's, but Lancer was missing. The date of the paper, on the other hand, it was off, very off. According to the paper, it is May. It can't be May, she thought, it's just March! What is going on? She continued to read the actual paper, and the title threw her off. "High school Senior class and chaperons still missing after Field Trip", it read. She was so thrown off, what is going on?

Reading the article, it read that their class and two famous Ghost Hunters, never came back from their trip, to St. Selena... She reread again. The article claimed they are missing for nearly two months, but, how?

She realized, dropping the paper, maybe the dome manipulated time as well? It would explain why her food was rotten and after the attack of the ghost king, she won't be surprised that a ghost is able to manipulate time. She slid down on the shield, and started to cry, this isn't how she imagined her last year of High School. Maybe her dad was right, when he said they should move away from Amity Park, away from the ghosts. But... if she wasn't there, would someone else have managed to escape and...

She needs to inform the authorities, anyone who can deal with ghosts.

She was suddenly blinded by a car, out came a woman, with long blonde hair, it was her aunt. Star stood up.

"Star? Is that you?" Jennifer asked, "How-Why are you here?! What happened?!"

"I-It happened so much!" cried Star, "We were attacked by ghosts, I only managed to flee because I was given a belt that deflects ghosts. They, the ghosts, kidnapped one of the groups and attacked mine! And-"

Star broke down, her system was to weak to stand anymore.

...

Still tired, she woke up and found herself in a Hospital room, surrounded by her aunt Jennifer and her parents. As soon as they noted that their star was awake, they hugged her. Her mother Janice Morgan crying, "My Starlight! We were so worried about you! You were gone for two months, without any clue!"

"Two months? This can't be, it just felt like a few hours for me..." mumbled Star, being hugged by her mother.

"Where are the others of your class?" wondered her father, "They have to be somewhere, if you are here."

"They are probably still in St. Nora, in the grasps of these ghosts that attacked us." answered Star her father.

"St. Nora?"

"Ghosts?!" yelled Jennifer, "Ghosts attacked you! Oh, I told you to move away from Amity Park!"

"Yes, we were just exploring the building, when suddenly ghosts appeared and kidnapped a few of us." explained Star, "I only managed to escape, because I was given a belt that deflects ghosts, they can't touch the wearer."

"But why were you two months gone?" asked her aunt Jennifer.

"I don't know! It didn't feel like two months! I was just hours there before I escaped and only walked for the days!" replied Star, "Was it really two months?"

"Yes... I normally don't believe in the supernatural,", said Jennifer, "But after the stuff Janice told me from... can't some ghosts manipulate areas or time?"

"Yes,", answered Star, "Hm, Danny Fenton mentioned something that some ghosts can do this... I just know that they, the ghosts, have taken some of us, I don't know why, though."

"We better inform the authorities of this attack, that they check on St. Selena." said her father.

"Dad, we were in St. Nora." corrected him Star.

"But we were told that you are visiting St. Selena!" argued Janice, his mother.

"What, no, we visited St. Nora!"

...

Star was on the backseat of her mother's car, they were driving to St. Nora, followed by ghost hunters, cops, the Men in White, anyone who would take on ghosts. Arriving at the building, Star was the first to exit the car. A few Guys in White and policemen approached the building and entered it.

Hours passed and they came out, declaring to have found nothing. Star was shocked and ran in, this can't be!

More in the building, the earth started to quake and a glow appeared. As soon as it was gone, a few Guys in White came in, followed by a few cops.

"Huh?! The building looks different all of a sudden!" said one of the cops. Star was confused by this, it didn't look much of a difference. One of the police men told her to go out of there.

Another hour passed and they came out, carrying some of her class mates, many unconscious, some injured. To her surprise, Danny Phantom came out as well, carrying the Red Huntress. Coming closer, she saw it was Valerie. Phantom laid Valerie down on the ground and returned to the building, coming back with Madeline Fenton.

She saw how two cop carried out Hannah, Daniel Martinez cousin. Same boy ran out and cried, yelling, "Hannah!" The girl didn't react. Phantom, after laying down Mrs. Fenton, walked to him, "I'm sorry, Martinez." Daniel cried harder, and Star realized, Hannah is dead. Looking around, many of the rescued were unknown to her and dead, and rotten. This scared her.

Phantom noted her distress and explained, "This asylum, many classes were baited here and trapped, killed by a cult of ghosts. Most of our class survived, though."

Star was confused, but he just told her, "I explain later. You better go to your relatives, this whole thing will be hard to stomach, but it is over now." She nodded and did what he told her.

She saw how Paulina walked out, slightly leaning against a cop. She rushed to her friend and helped her to walk. Paulina, to her surprise hugged her, "It was so terrible! Thank you, thank you for getting help!" Star returned the hug, glad that her friend is somewhat okay.

Now it's over.
