Naruto put his Lexus to the test, taking corners sharp, testing its control as he upped the speed while driving up to the secluded Uchiha home. His knuckles were braced tightly around the leather steering wheel, his alpha tearing into the small fragment that was holding it back, demanding it be released and put in control. Naruto's head pounded with the pain caused by the irate alpha, making him clench his teeth harder, trying desperately to suppress the discomfort and concentrate on the road. Itachi's request for him to attend was the only thought on his mind, that Naruto wasted no time in ending the call and leaving his work. 'Work can wait.'
Entering the home through the sliding door, Naruto was able to still enter the building with suave and sophistication, his aura reeking with authoritative waves, as a Yakuza leader should. But inside his alpha clawed and slammed itself into his mental walls and Naruto hesitated for a moment to rub his temples. He pushed back on the alpha, mentally dragging it back into the dark shadows of his mind, demanding its submission. 'It won't do anyone any good for you to get all hissy.'
The same elderly woman as every other time greeted Naruto at the door with a deeply respected bow, while she waited for Naruto to slip on his slippers. She led Naruto down the same corridors he now knew by heart. He could follow them with his eyes closed, but he respected the elder woman and followed her. Her speed was that of a turtle, and he restrained himself from pushing her to the side, gently, and take the lead.
He was met around a corner by Itachi, who beckoned Naruto to another area of the home. Naruto just glanced down the corridor he knew would lead to Sasuke's room, but respecting the elder alpha Uchiha, he sighed and followed Itachi.
The pair entered a small office setting, Itachi moving swiftly to stand before the desk and lean against it. He crossed his arms and frowned, looking down at the floor, thinking about what he was going to say.
Naruto on the other hand, could hardly hold back from turning around and heading out of the room, and straight to Sasuke's room, to seek out the possible issue on his own. Respect be damned. He shoved his hands in his pockets and fiddled his fingers out of sight.
"Thank you for coming so quickly, Naruto," Itachi started. "I wanted to talk to you first, to give you a heads up, so to speak." He gestured a hand towards a chair and Naruto declined by shaking his head.
Naruto's hands were sweating in his pockets while waiting for the elder Uchiha to speak, his alpha howled in the shadows of his mind and holding back his agitated scent was getting difficult. He wondered if he could light a cigarette.
"I guess there is no easy way to say this, but," Itachi sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Sasuke has gone into heat." Dark tired eyes looked up at the blond alpha.
Naruto's alpha went quiet, and Naruto wondered if his alpha had gone into shock at the news. Blinking rapidly, Naruto let the words repeat over and over in his mind before he spoke. He turned slowly, took some steps towards the window and ran a now sweaty palm through his hair. Stopping at the window, he looked through the glass, only to not see anything but the words continuously going through his mind. Questions began to pile up in his mind and he turned to face the elder Uchiha, "are you—"
Itachi held up his palm, interrupting the blond. "There is more I need to explain," Itachi spoke softly and respectively.
Naruto snorted softly at the words. What was there really to explain? He knew his biology. Alpha's get ruts, omega's get heat, beta's get sometimes both but not to the same extent, pups are made, end of story. Naruto raised one of his brows, waiting for the Uchiha to explain while his inner alpha suddenly realised what was said and was practically salivating at the thought of the omega in heat. Naruto could feel the tingle in his cock and mentally disciplined the alpha for doing such a thing. 'Sasuke is not a toy to breed with!'
"Uchiha's have a rich and powerful history." Itachi began. "Our ancestry has been recorded for centuries, and as with many of the human race, evolution has caused our generations to slowly evolve to more human form and away from wolf form," Itachi explained in a whisper.
"Are you saying the Uchiha ancestors could actually shift?" Naruto whisper yelled, his eyes had widened to the size of saucers with this new information.
"It has been a long guarded secret of our clan for centuries." Itachi nodded his head. "Please understand that I share this with you only because of what you have done for our family, for Sasuke." Itachi stepped forward, towards the blond alpha, his eyes steady and slowly turning red and his jaw firm. "Don't make me regret," Itachi continued to whisper while stepping closer to Naruto, "telling you this."
Itachi stopped before Naruto, his eyes narrowing and analysing the blond alpha. Naruto's eyes were wide, staring, but didn't seem to see Itachi before him. No scent – other than his alpha presence – was emanating from Naruto and Itachi briefly thought he broke the young alpha. 'Maybe telling him was a mistake?' No, that couldn't be. Itachi took pride in his instincts, and telling Naruto the family secret was no mistake.
"Naruto?" Itachi moved his head around a bit, looking at Naruto's face from different angles.
Something worked, because Naruto blinked and snapped his eyes on Itachi's red ones. Not intimidated at the least, Naruto bit his bottom lip and looked around the room quickly before leaning in closer to whisper, "are you saying Sasuke shifted?"
Itachi raised his brows in surprise, the blond alpha gnawing on his bottom lip as he asked the question. Itachi inwardly chuckled at the sight. Naruto looked like a little kid asking about doing something he wasn't allowed to and was going to get into trouble if caught. When those blue eyes stopped looking about the room, as if someone else was in there that may hear them he chuckled.
"No, that isn't the case here," Itachi breathed out and turned back to lean against his desk. Taking the same posture as earlier he crossed his arms and looked directly at the blond Yakuza leader before taking a deep breath.
Naruto exhaled long and gave his mentality a shake. The situation here was serious. Itachi had just shared a long time family guarded secret and something was wrong with Sasuke. His alpha flared up, demanding respect and order from his host and Naruto nodded at Itachi, a subtle request to show that Itachi could keep explaining.
"The ancient genes are still rich in Uchiha blood. I know this because every Uchiha born is tested at birth. Though we have long lost the ability to shift, some certain traits still exist." Itachi waited for the blond to give a sign that he understood.
Naruto gave Itachi a brief nod and a hum of understanding.
"I believe that the intense situation Sasuke was in, has caused him to revert back to a primitive state, that combined with him going into heat has caused his omega to trigger a combination of what is called: Wild Shifting and Mental Shifting."
Naruto nodded, "I remember those terms. Not very common this day in age, but can happen. If I recall my studies," Naruto tapped his finger on his chin, his eyes looking down as he thought about it. "in most cases, both are caused when someone is traumatised…" Naruto trailed off, his eyes looking back at Itachi.
"Correct you are Naruto," Itachi called out. "Due to the significant trauma that was forcefully inflicted upon Sasuke, I have no doubt his omega has shifted further with his heat, taking practically full control of Sasuke's human self."
"Where is he?" Naruto's alpha demanded to tend to the raven haired omega.
"He's still in his room, but your alpha—"
"I have control, Itachi, don't think less of me just because I'm alpha. I can control it," he snapped back, not intending to.
Itachi held up his hands, "alright. I meant no insult. I'll escort you." It was an order made simply, Itachi would not allow Naruto to attend his otouto's room alone.
The two alpha's took to the corridors, Itachi leading the way, calmly. Naruto walked slightly behind him, his senses on high alert now, his alpha pawing at the ready, after hearing the news about Sasuke.
The scent slammed into Naruto's consciousness without warning, when he and Itachi rounded a corner, which caused him to stumble on his own feet.
Omega…
Heat…
Sasuke…
The words were like a mantra in his mind as the scent surrounded him, enveloped him in its promise and teased his alpha who began to practically tremble with sheer desire. Naruto pressed his fingernails into his palm trying to quell the animalistic hunger that was starting to rise within. The last thing he needed was to be thrust into a blinding rut that would leave him at the mercy of his alpha, who's only thoughts would be breed. He had too much devotion and respect for the raven haired omega and he'd be damned if he would let a barbaric alpha secondary gender screw that up for him.
Itachi stopped at the door, Naruto could feel the thick pheromones from the omega seeping through the very wood of the door. Naruto breathed through clenched teeth, determined to assess and assist Sasuke in a most honourable manner.
"Before we go in, I must ask you…" Itachi gave Naruto a hard look.
Naruto held Itachi's stare and waited for Itachi to finish.
"Are you familiar with the possible outcomes when a person is experiencing a wild shifting?"
Naruto frowned slightly as he thought about his teachings from what seemed like a lifetime ago. "I have an idea…"
"Hn," Itachi grunted out and turned to the door, knocking softly. "Otouto? I'm coming in with Naruto."
No sounds were heard while Itachi slid open the door, slowly. He stepped in quietly and Naruto followed.
It took a moment for Naruto's eyes to adjust to the dim lights in the room. It was sunset already and the lamps had been lit all around the area, casting a soft glow throughout the home. Sasuke's scent was the most succulent he'd ever sensed. Normally Sasuke's scent was inviting, rich, and Naruto would find himself wishing it was in a pool, where he could bathe in it. But his scent was now heavily laced with spices, that literally set his alpha on a mental rampage.
The furniture in the room was still intact, which surprised Naruto, he half expected it to be destroyed. But considering his only experience was ruts, that usually left him destroying his own furniture when his alpha was displeased that there was no mate available.
Naruto quickly quelled his alpha when Itachi began to call out to Sasuke. Movement between the bed and wall caught their attention.
There was a mound of blankets and pillows, shoved between bed and wall, and tufts of black hair came into view.
"Naruto is here otouto, he's come to see you. It's time for dinner, so let's get you something to eat and drink as well." Itachi called out calmly and released his calming scent into the room.
Naruto stood to the side, not wanting to spook the omega as he watched Sasuke's face come into view of the dimly lit room. His face was flushed beautifully pink while his eyes were a ruby red as he looked about. Naruto found the omega cute when Sasuke's nose began to twitch and sniff the room. Sasuke slowly pushed away the blankets and pillow nest, pulling himself up onto the bed. He was wearing soft cotton pants and no shirt. Naruto could see the sheen of sweat on Sasuke's pale chest and deeply coloured nipples.
The scent and the mere sight, had Naruto's arousal stand at attention, his alpha purring loudly, borderline growling with need, dangerously pushing Naruto's mental barriers to the brink of release.
Itachi hummed out softly, "I'll call the kitchen to get —"
A pillow to his head had Itachi sputtering out noises of surprise.
" ."
Naruto gawked at Sasuke, who was suddenly poised on all fours on the bed, claws extended and teeth bared. His red eyes narrowed on Itachi, the deep chest growls rumbled from between his lips. Naruto hadn't heard Sasuke say a word since he was found, thus he should be celebrating that the omega was speaking again but the rough husky sound of Sasuke had struck a chord within his alpha.
"Otouto, please, I'm only —"
Sasuke immediately snapped out a bark and flung another pillow at his aniki.
" !"
Itachi saw the pillow coming this time and was able to dodge it, but Sasuke would not have it. His jaws snapped out warning growls towards him, his claws scratched at the sheets leaving long jagged rips within.
Itachi stepped back several steps towards the door. Sasuke's glaring red eyes watching him the entire way. The snarling never stopped and Itachi looked towards Naruto. "Remember what I said earlier…" he trailed off, waiting for Naruto to put together the pieces.
Naruto snapped his head towards the other alpha, pulling the reins back on his own alpha so he could remain sane. The room was swirling with omega pheromones that had him struggling to stay afloat. He felt like he was drowning, but in an a giant tub of hot erotic liquid. He could feel the blood pooling into his cock, painfully, the desire washing through his veins like a drug, but he managed to nod towards Itachi. He wanted the elder Uchiha to know that he could leave his otouto, safely, with the blond alpha.
Satisfied, Itachi slowly slid open the door and stepped out, giving Sasuke one more glance.
The omega appeared satisfied that the alpha kin had left, because ruby red eyes slowly turned towards him, locking with his own blue ones.
Naruto audibly gulped. The feral look of Sasuke was a huge turn on and he mentally slapped himself to stop thinking like that.
The omega quickly hopped off the bed, landing on all fours. Red eyes still watched the blond alpha, growls escaping through his parted lips. Standing slowly on his two legs, those eyes never left the alpha, and Sasuke began to side step around Naruto, each step feather light.
Naruto watched Sasuke's hands flex over and over, his claws clicking when they hit each other. The dim lighting highlighted the sweated areas all over the omega's chest, nipples and neck. The omega licked his lips slowly and Naruto watched as those red eyes looked him over, slowly, from head to toe.
"Alpha…" the omega purred out in a growl.
Naruto was hit suddenly with a force he wasn't expecting, his ass thumping hard into the floor, his hands going out behind him to stop his back and head from hitting the floor. 'What the fuck!' His breath was momentarily stripped from him when he realised the situation he was in.
Sasuke—was on his lap.
Naruto panted out heavily, not wanting to move, the raven haired omega's lust filled eyes were barely inches from his own. Naruto could hear and taste the omega's breath caressing his face and his alpha practically screamed for Naruto to take what was presented to him.
"S-S-Sas'k—" was all Naruto could breathe out in the moment.
The omega's head tilted side to side, those beaming red eyes glaring into blue, and a single claw from Sasuke's pointer finger began to slide up the underside of Naruto's throat up his jaw.
"Alpha…" the omega purred out again huskily.
Naruto's heart was about to burst out of his chest. The screaming of his alpha was clouding his vision with each beat, tearing at his mental walls, the compelling weight of the omega's scent was crushing him, from the outside in. He could feel his own claws extending, his canines aching, his blood boiling, and his cock pulsating from the heat of the omega that was currently straddling his lap. A sudden burst of power came from Naruto's chest that he could no longer fight and he opened his mouth to bare his fangs, releasing a deep rumbling growl directly at the omega's face. His hands grabbed at the omega's arms, claws pinching into the omega's fine marble smooth skin, holding the omega still. Naruto yanked the omega close and dropped his nose into Sasuke's neck, dragging his tongue along the sweat stained skin before his eyes rolled back in ecstasy.
The moment was short lived when the omega broke free of the alpha's grasp, wrapping his hand around Naruto's throat and shoved the blond alpha back, hard. The omega snarled in retaliation, leaping up and off the blond. The raven haired omega stood hunched over, baring his fangs and claws at the alpha.
Naruto's head hit the floor this time, seeing stars with a slight pain behind his eyelids. His alpha snarled loudly from the assault, and flipped to turn onto all fours facing the omega. Naruto snarled loudly, bearing his fangs in irritation at the omega.
The raven haired omega snorted in response to the annoyed alpha and took a few steps backwards, slowly. Naruto watched the omega, determining the omega's next move through narrowed eyes.
The omega stood tall then, giving the blond a smirk before quickly turning and ran for the window. With an elegant jump, Sasuke slid through the open window with ease and disappeared into the night.
The alpha growled deeply at the sudden movement and sprinted quickly through the same window, following the scent.
The chase was on.

Itachi leaned against the wall near the sliding door to Sasuke's room. He heard the noises, and smirked when he knew both had left the room. The situation had gone as he had suspected, and as expected of an Uchiha.
The term wild shifting was well known to the Uchiha clan, and though not very common in this day in age, Itachi suspected that with Sasuke's recent trauma inflicted situation, that the certain dormant genes of shifting would come out strong. The Uchiha history was indeed well recorded for centuries, with explanations of various shifts.
Itachi suspected wild shifting would appear, where the secondary gender becomes wild and at times uncontrollable, taking over the human form either physically and/or mentally. Mental shifting was similar, that was able to shut out all human activity of the brain and focus on heightening of the secondary gender's senses. With Sasuke's heat breaching the surface, his shifting seemed to have taken on both psychological types.
'No matter which one it is, Sasuke's omega is almost in complete control,' Itachi thought to himself. But with Sasuke speaking words and tossing pillows at him, it showed that his otouto's human consciousness was at least still there. 'Sasuke still has some control.'
His mother was aware of the near dormant shifting gene and what it could do, therefore that was one main reason she had this compound built with such high walls. She had devoted herself that anyone from the family, especially her boys, were to ever experience the uncontrollable shifting, that they would be somewhere safe.
The compound stretched for miles in three directions, and a strong tall concrete wall encircled it. Over the years, Itachi had added several sensors and cameras to the walls, to enhance the security of the area. And the compound was well staffed all year round.
Feeling confident in having the Uzumaki as a potential partner to his otouto, knowing that they would both be within the secure walls of the Uchiha compound, he decided to go make some tea and document his findings. He also had a mate to contact and see how she was doing with their pup.

The omega sprinted between the trees and brush, pushing his limits as his heart raced excitedly hearing the crashing and snarling of the blond alpha giving chase. A smirk crossed his lips, his red eyes scanned the darkness to determine his next course of action. The omega's instincts were pulsing through Sasuke's body, encouraging the ancient rituals of an omega finding just the right alpha that would prove itself to be worthy to father their offspring.
Sasuke rounded some trees, skidded back and forth quickly between them, rubbing his scent on the circle of trees, before taking a large near inhuman leap, jumping high up onto some tree branches. Determining he was high enough to not be discovered, he sat to catch his breath and watched the dark ground below. His eyes gleamed with anticipation as he saw the blond alpha come crashing through the trees and skidded to a halt just below him.
Naruto could feel his alpha instincts surging through his mind, pushing and pulling heavily, eager to find the omega that triggered the ritual of a chase. Though the alpha was almost in complete control, Naruto was able to stay mostly mentally conscious as his alpha demanded to be released fully. But the thrill of the chase excited him too, both physically and sexually, he couldn't deny it, and he let his alpha lead the way through the trees.
He narrowed his now red eyes, taking in the scenery, and sniffed at the air. He could smell the omega went this way, but now the omega scent was all around him. He stepped up to a tree, tracing his fingers along the bark as if seeing the omega's scent along it. Turning, he touched another tree, thick with Sasuke's scent.
"Are you trying to trick me little O? It won't work!" Naruto called out, his voice deep and husky. He continued to walk about the small area, determining each tree that was marked before stopping and looking up. The alpha reared up with excitement and Naruto couldn't stop his grin. His eyes sparkled when he saw the outline of the omega high up in the tree.
Sensing the alpha's eyes on him, Sasuke leaped from the branch to a neighbouring tree and quickly made his way down to the ground. The omega quickly found his footing, rushing off between some trees to continue the chase. His heartbeat quickened when he could hear, and practically feel the alpha right behind him. Pushing himself harder, he broke through some bushes into a small clearing. His breath was stolen from him when he found himself grabbed from behind, quickly and gently, before rolling through the long grass.
'Got 'cha!' The alpha howled in delight through Naruto's mind when he could feel the omega within his grasp. Taking care to not harm the small omega body in his clutches, Naruto took the blunt of the fall to the ground but didn't take into account the roll. The pair rolled so hard and fast, the alpha lost his grip and the omega leaped away from him as soon as they stopped.
The omega hunched over, one hand on the ground, his eyes glowing red, half lidded, with a snarl, he swiped a warning at the alpha not to come near. The omega mentally pushed at the blond alpha, warning it to stay away unless it wanted to fight, and deep down, a fight was what it wanted. It wanted proof that they would be safe with this alpha.
Naruto's alpha growled in retaliation, demanding submission while moving closer to the omega. The alpha wasn't about to let the omega get his way and the alpha was eager to show this omega just how worthy he was.
Naruto leaped first, his arms wide, ready to tackle the omega. His eyes glowing red and fangs bared.
The omega was too keen on this move and leaped to the side, swiping his claws at the alpha, catching the alpha's arm and tearing the shirt Naruto wore. The alpha rolled to his feet, glared at the damage to his arm before turning his red eyes back on the omega with a grin. Naruto side stepped slowly, his eyes not leaving the omega.
The omega snapped at the alpha before turning to run, but found himself not getting too far as the alpha had tackled him once more into the ground. This time, there was no rolling and Naruto attempted to pin the omega, but Sasuke was quicker. Sasuke easily twisted his body to be free of the alpha, got upon his feet and started to run, again.
Naruto growled out in frustration, digging his claws into the cool ground below before rushing after the raven haired omega. His alpha howled with excitement, the fierceness of the omega was pleasing and stimulated his body in many ways that no other had. He quickly caught up to Sasuke, swiping at his ankle to trip him up.
Sasuke snarled out in surprise when his foot was pulled from under him, his body falling to the side as he rolled onto his back. Seeing the alpha almost upon him, he quickly flicked his right leg and roundabout kicked the alpha in the jaw. His foot connected with the blond alpha's jaw, the force strong enough to cause Naruto to fall to the side, his head snapping the other way with the blow. Snarling out a smirk, the omega quickly rolled onto all fours and glared at the other.
Naruto howled out in surprise and annoyance from the sudden kick, but was able to find his footing quickly and returned the glare. Naruto then stood slowly, bringing the back of his hand up to his lips, he wiped. Looking down at the small smear of blood, he held it up to show the omega. "Tsk tsk, good shot," Naruto practically beamed, his voice husky with lust. Naruto wiped the blood off on his pants and began to stalk forward, "such a powerful, amazing and beautiful omega you are." His voice purred out the praise, his eyes glowed a red so bright it was almost like the coals of a hot fire. While focusing on the blue black hair that glowed in the moonlight, Naruto licked his lips, his alpha was vibrating with excitement at the fighting scent the omega was giving off and it desired more. He may be masochistic, but it was only for Sasuke.
The omega's eyes widened at the smirk and power radiating from the blond alpha. Sasuke found himself rooted to the spot, the omega shivering with a heavy yearning, a hunger, something that the alpha was apparently giving. The blond alpha towered over him, his aura suddenly heavy and sweltering through Sasuke's body, but Sasuke found something inside him that enabled him to quickly swing his fist directly for the alpha's beautiful face.
A slap was heard, Sasuke gasping in surprise when he found his fist caught within the powerful grasp of the alpha's hand. The omega suddenly struggled, trying to pull away his arm before swinging his free arm in retaliation towards the alpha. His other fist was suddenly caught in another powerful grip of the alpha, and hooded red eyes gleamed with excitement. A feral grin appeared on the apha's face, his tongue dragging across his lips.
"So perfect," the alpha purred out with a rumbling growl.
Sasuke's matching deep red eyes widened slightly at the words before he jumped and landed both his feet into the alpha's gut.
The alpha released his grip, a loud breathy sound escaping his lips, 'oof', at the sudden blow and stumbled backwards.
Sasuke scrambled to his feet from his fall and turned to run into the night, once more.
Naruto was on his back, breathing heavily and staring up at the night sky. His alpha roared with uncontainable excitement, his body on fire with a strong yearning of ecstasy and thirst for the raven haired laced with fire and spice of an omega. He grinned once more while the adrenaline followed through his veins. "Oh yeah, you're so perfect," he growled out before leaping up and continuing the chase.
Naruto followed the omega's scent, the heat scent even thicker and richer than before, and the alpha pushed harder through the woods. The alpha could now determine the omega's moves, familiar with the technique, and he veered off into another direction.
Sasuke suddenly slowed, not hearing the alpha panting and growling in chase and came to a stop to lean against a tree. He drew in several deep breaths, trying to catch his breath and listened carefully, while sniffing at the air. He caulked his head, feeling surprised that the alpha was no longer in pursuit, and a pang of disappointment went through his chest. His omega was certain this alpha could be worthy, but—apparently not.
There was no time for retaliation when Sasuke found himself grabbed and forcefully shoved to the ground. His face was pushed into the soft grass, his arms folded behind his back and the omega howled out in surprise. The weight on his lower body held him fast, and then the omega purred within him while Sasuke continued to fight off his capture.
"So amazing you are," the alpha's husky voice purred into Sasuke's ear. "Your strength, power and intelligence is perfect for me."
Sasuke continued to struggle, kicking his feet to hit the back of the alpha. His omega was purring loudly, begging for submission, but Sasuke wouldn't have it. His human self feared the position he was being held in and began to panic.
Sensing the fear emanating from the omega, Naruto quickly released the smaller male, pulling him into his chest and hugging him in an embrace that was both gentle, but tight. Sasuke shook in his embrace, wailing in fear, his arms now beating on Naruto's chest but the alpha still held him close. Naruto released a calming purr from his chest, as loudly as he could, creating soothing vibrations rumbling throughout him. He stroked Sasuke's back, hushed and hummed until Sasuke finally slowed, his body going slack and the raven haired omega released his tears and sobbed into Naruto's shirt.
