'Don't worry.' said Tendi cheerfully. 'We'll be right outside if you need us.'
After his friends had left, Boimler took a deep breath. 'I suppose I better get this over with. Computer, activate LPH please.'
Instantly, in the empty space between the armchairs and the desk, stood a slim-faced, thinning blond haired man in Medical Division uniform with, Boimler noticed, no rank insignia, and a PADD in his left hand. Noticing Boimler, he stepped forward with a pleasant smile on his face.
'Ah, Mr Boimler, I presume?' he asked, in a friendly tone, before gesturing to the armchairs. 'Please, take a seat.'
'Thank you.' replied Boimler, who moved towards the chair closet to him, and sat down.
Once they were both seated, the LPH glanced at the PADD. 'I see from my notes that, during a recent evaluation, you experienced the psychological effects of being assimilated by holographic Borg!'
'I didn't have a lot of choice!' sighed Boimler 'If you check the records, you'll see that evaluation was rigged by a Pandronian drill instructor named Shari yn Yem, to ensure the whole crew failed the scenarios, in order to justify her job! I had to keep running the simulation, to stop her transmitting the results to Starfleet! Luckily the Captain was able to scare Yem into revising her results!'
The LPH looked down at the PADD, and began reading the details of the various tests, and how Shari yn Yem had altered them, to ensure the failure of the crew. After he finished, he looked up, with an expression of mild shock on his face.
'I can't believe what I'm reading! If she hadn't quit from stress, she'd have been dismissed for gross misconduct! Still, it could have been worse.'
'How?'
'Well,' said the LPH with a jovial expression, 'She could have created a demon spy to punch you in the face!'
