I finally got my box set for Demon Slayer!
Lydia knew right then and there, that Daki was the psycho one here.
"What are you? Your brother's keeper? His heart is not working properly so don't worry about his heart breaking any time soon," she said annoyed by her threat.
She could literally see the vein pop out of Daki's forehead.
"That mouth of yours will get you in trouble! Especially with me!" her belt was rapidly in circling Lydia making her wished she held her tongue.
"Y-Yatamahime Orian," a small voice said behind the screen door. Immediately the belt disappeared in the cracks of the ceiling.
"What do you want!?!" Daki practical screeched at the shadow on the other side the door.
"T-he kimono you wanted me to clean, I-I got it!" the voice trembled. The demontress strode over to door and opened it to reveal a little girl kneeling with a kimono in her lap.
"You better have gotten those wine stains out of them this time!" she rudely snatched up the garment to eyeball it.
Lydia could tell the girl was extremely nervous from Daki's examination.
"Da- um I mean Yatamahime!" Lydia instantly getting her attention.
"You know how hard it is to get red wine strains out," seeing how it was her kimono knowing damn well those weren't wine stains.
"Shut-up! I'll be the one to determine that!"
After a long and intense look over. She let out an exacerbated sigh.
"I suppose this is adequate, but next time! Don't do a shoddy job and it shouldn't have taken you twice to clean this!"
"Y-Y-es of course I'll do better Yatamahime Oiran!" the little girl bowed several times in apologize.
"You better Omitsu! I have high hopes for you as my newest assistant!" Daki said with all knowing smirk.
"Now get the hell out my face before I change my mind!" quickly Omitsu stood up and left as she slammed the door behind her.
"Fuck why do you and your brother love terrorizing little kids," Lydia utter under her breath and began to look around finally noticing Gyutaro wasn't here.
"Hmph you need to learn to keep that trap of yours shut...what I do to my assistants is my business only!" she scowled at her.
"Children in Yoshiwara are unwanted and mostly abandoned by their parents for debts they can't pay,"
"That's horrible!"
The more Daki explained about this town and how almost everyone was a prisoner to debt here. The more she trying to rack her brain on how she get back to the future. Lydia couldn't believe how trapped an Orian truly was. It made her wonder why Daki would even choose this kind of lifestyle, but than again this was probably a demon's field day.
"That is life here and honestly you own my brother everything for protecting you!" she crossed her arms and thought that she also owned her something too.
Lydia wanted to roll her eyes at her and say that she paid her brother back several times over. But instead she suddenly looked out at the open window.
"Oh wow it's snowing!" she raced over to window to marvel at the weather change.
"You really are like a child...does it not snow where your from?" Daki shook her head.
"No it rarely snow at all in Phoenix, Arizona where I'm from. Nothing, but sunshine and heat!"
"Eww sounds awful," making her think she would say that being a demon and all.
"It can be, but that is why I'm always in someone's pool," it also helped that Lydia worked at a Waterpark too, but she didn't want to go and explained what that was to Daki.
It was mesmerizing for her to the snow gently fall from rooftops to lanterns and down on the crowd hurrying along the road. The demontress merely stated nonchalantly.
"You've seen one snowflake then you have seen them all...nothing to write home about really,"
"Hmm still beautiful though. Where's Gyutaro anyways?" Lydia strained a bit holding her shoulder. Everytime her collarbone was in pain, all she could think about was how it was his fault.
"You just missed him," honestly she was surprised her brother didn't wake Lydia at the time. But as soon as she told him that Douma was in town, he booked it out the window to go and greet him. It sort of made her upset because he never was that excited to greet that man before.
"That reminds me, you need to get ready for the guest, that he will most likely be forced to bring over here," Daki said more irritated than ever.
"Forced?" Lydia raised her eye brows wondering who could possibly force him do anything.
Back at the abandon house
"Soo what do think?" Gyutaro asked actually anxiety. He will always held this demon at such a high regard. Ever since he learned that he was the only one actually came to him and his sister's aide. He gave them a better life, better than what they could ever have as humans.
Douma remain silent and carefully flipped the pages of this very explicit manga called "How not to Summon."
"It is interesting to say the least," he decided to humor him.
"I know amazing right! Do you think it is possible for it to work in our world!"
"It bit farfetched to me and plus the woman in this story is a different species. An elf I believe," Douma sighed at the ridiculous of it all. He shut the book close thinking it was some kind of degenerate deprived fantasy.
"Yea, but inmon is something only a demon can do!" he said believe this was real. Especially with the items he asked him to bring.
"Well, I wouldn't believe everything you read Gyutaro... you know when I received the letter from your sister, with the request of certain items. I gotten a bit confused, but than I was intrigued when she mentioned a book..." he said very disappointed at the end result of this.
It was the main reason why the cult leader rushed over to Yoshiwara. He thought this was actually important and not something so fruitless as this. He then pulled out Demon Slayer volume nineteen from out of his robes.
Gyutaro froze at the sight of the manga. He did not knowing what to think or say.
"Ah~! I see!" knowing that look of recognition.
"I'm glad I'm not the only who received one! Let me guess you got one too, describe your death as well!" Douma smiled with genuine joy reaching his rainbow eyes.
