'Well,' said the LPH with a jovial expression, 'She could have created a demon spy to punch you in the face!'

Before Boimler could reply, there was a knock on the door.

'Hello, who's there?' asked the LPH.

The door opened, revealing Mariner. 'Are you busy, doc? My friends and I have some important news for you.'

'Important enough to interrupt a therapy session?' asked the LPH.

'I'm afraid so.' sighed Mariner.

'You better come in, then' said the LPH wearily, before turning to Boimler. 'Just between us, I have a sneaking suspicion I know what's coming!'

Once she had entered, along with Tendi and Rutherford, and the door was closed, Mariner came straight to the point 'Starfleet have found out about you, Doc, and want you transferred to Earth for full evaluation.'

'I knew it', said Boimler, angrily vacating his chair. 'This is because of what happened with Badgey, isn't it?'

'Ah, come on, Boimler' groaned Mariner. 'That was because the holodeck malfunctioned, and the safety protocols failed, during an attack by the Drookmani!'

'In any case' added the LPH, who was now also standin up. 'Rutherford didn't have Tendi's assistance when creating Badgey!'

'True enough' said Rutherford.

'Well', said Tendi 'I wanted to try and make amends for what happened with Peanut Hamper.'

'That's a nice thought,' said the LPH, 'I wonder if she's still out there? I suppose you're here to make sure I'm switched off?'

'Afraid so, Doc' replied Rutherford, 'Computer, end and save LPH test program, and copy all LPH files to portable storage, for transfer to Starfleet. Place the originals in the protected archive'

With that, the LPH and the office disappeared, replaced by the yellow on black grid of the holodeck.

'Transfers complete.' said the computer.

As Rutherford went to the arch, and removed the isolinear storage block, so that Mariner could install a fresh one, Boimler briefly thought over recent events, before the four friends exited the holodeck.
