Ch.33: Breaking Benjamin

That morning of Homecoming, I had found myself a bit bored. I was meeting up with Aria to go to the movies around Five, but that was not for several hours. I was laying on my bed and decided to look up the city on Pandestria's version of Google, called Whogle. Smiling, I discovered that nearby was a local grocery store. This was pretty cool, as sometimes neat little things can be discovered that cannot be found anywhere else.

I stood, taking a moment to close my eyes. The family question by Scootaloo had been echoing through my mind since she had asked it. How did I really feel? I had said that I loved them as people. Was there more to the story? Was I understating my feelings?

For now, I chose to keep silent. I had a store to go to.

At times, criticism can designate itself towards locally owned stores. "They charge too much" the critics say. Yes, that can be true. Like a lot of criticism, it can be exaggerated, or simply false. This was the case at Molly's Mart, the store I went to, which found itself along the same street we lived on a way down the road.

I chose to grab a basket as I entered. It was a silver and white, indicating the oldness of the store yet the friendless of its service. I began to look around.

As I did, I decided to reach out to the voice in my mind. Every time thus far, it had said something to me.

"Mr. Voice? Got any ideas for what I should get?" I asked. I was surprised then, hearing a yawn. It seemed I had awoken the entity. Deciding not to press, I kept going.

It was as I left with a few bags full of favorites (Plus some more coffee creamer for Igneous and Cloudy) that I heard the voice speak again.

"Sorry, deary. You did well. Perhaps you should pick up some chocolate for Aria. The one to come likes them too."

I raised an eyebrow, turning to walk up the road.

"The one to come?"

"Yes. Remember when you were at the smoothie shop with Aria and Adagio said there was three? Another will enter your story very soon."

"Is that my choice?" I asked, basically asking him if I would be forced.

He cackled at this. "Oh, I do enjoy some forbidden fun myself, but no. It will be on you to find what you truly feel. But be warned."

"Controversy is coming"
