Again, I do not own 'The World Of Ice And Fire'. This is going to be shorter chapter because this would just conclude The Doom and what Draeden and his family amd friends are going through. I really wanted to write more about the Freehold, but that is a story for another time.

AND A WARNING. SUICIDE IS NEVER THE OPTION TO SOLVE A PROBLEM.

Aella was panicking as she ran through the hallway to her son's chambers. Marion had gone to pick up The Fourteen Goblets of Leanna and to get Vaella.

As she was nearing Draeden's chamber doors, she started to feel anxious about what if her son is not in his chambers. But she pushed that aside as she reached Draeden's chambers and shoved the doors open with her entire strength.

Aella's red and gold eyes immediately scan through the dim room that is only lighted by a single candle. Her heart dropped as she looked to the empty bed.

But her attention was taken by a confused voice that spoke near the wardrobe "Mother"? Aella's eyes immediately snapped towards her son's voice near the wardrobe.

She saw him standing there in front of the wardrobe. Confusion and fear were evident in Draeden's eyes. Aella wanted to wrap Draeden in a tight embrace and tell him everything is ok...even though nothing is fine at the moment. The earth shook with such intensity that even the most fearless men will kneel and beg the gods to deliver them to safety.

Aella, without a word rushed to Draeden and grabbed his arm and darted out of the chamber. They ran through the crowded corridor that was filled with panicking men and women. The crowd of servants and guards mixed with family members were in such a state of distress that they didn't even notice the speeding Aella dragging Draeden through them.

They soon neared the stairs and alongside others ran down the shaking steps. The ground shook with such intensity, that Aella wondered how long the magic that enhanced the base of the Fourteen Towers could be held against such a catalytic shake.

Aella and Draeden had collided with many people on the way down. As many people had already forgotten their station when they were running in panic. Not that the station of a person would matter to the cataclysm that awaits them.

Although it was difficult, they soon reached the bottom of the steps and Aella continued to drag Draeden deep in the compound of the towers.

Draeden was confused and asked between breaths as they ran across the vast grounds of the Fourteen Towers. "Where...*huff*... are we...*huff*...going"? Aella didn't answer him and ran straight towards the Vault deep in the compound that she and Marion had prepared.

At the distance, they see the large dark silhouette of the Fourteen Flames exploded and expelled dragonglass and the Lava that they held with a loud BANG! The lavas and dragonglass went so high up that the red and hot liquid went above the clouds. As the horrifying red fires lit up the dark sky, Draeden saw many trying to escape on their dragons.

But the Fourteen Flames erupted once again. Lava and a strange red smoke expelled from the volcanoes instantly killed all the dragons and their riders near the Fourteen Flames in the process.

Aella quickened their pace at that and soon they reached the first of the Fourteen Valyrian steel and dragon stone made gates of the Vault in a cave.

The gates parted as they sensed the blood of the main branch of House Draeterys wanting to enter. Aella and Draeden ran through all the large gates that opened in front of them.

The Gates they have passed closed behind them as they ran.

Soon they reached the large space in front of the last gate. Behind the large and thick double doors, was the vault that held the most valuable treasures of House Draeterys, except it is...empty? Draeden wondered where the artifacts and treasures had gone as he looked through the opened gates of the vault.

But that was not the only thing that was out of place. Twelve dragons, including Vaella's two dragons, Maerus and Vaelar are there. Draeden and Vaella's dragons were inside the opened vault.

Draeden was confused, so he asked his parents. "Where are the artifacts and the treasures? And what are we doing here?"

Marion and Aella looked uneasy for a second but Marion then answered his confusion. "The treasures have been shipped off towards our vaults in the castle of Bloodstone, at the Broken arm of Dorne. But our armour, swords and 60 dragon eggs are here. The treasures that are shipped to Bloodstone are guarded by extremely loyal Rexagon men and just shipped off with haste this afternoon at the port." Marion paused for a second.

But a nervous and impatient Vaella asked, "But you haven't answered why we are here? Instead of flying away on the dragons"?

Aella then answered. "The Fourteen Flames will destroy all living things around them, we can't escape the fires, it's too late for that. "

Draeden nodded in agreement "It's true I saw it, the dragons that were flying near the Fourteen Flames were incinerated."

Vaella nodded but then Draeden was confused as his mother clearly knows that this will happen. So he questioned his mother. "How do you know that this will all happen?"

Aella looked nervous for a second but Marion answered for her. "She saw it in the Flames, but she didn't know when it would happen or if it was true or not". Draeden nodded but Vaella questioned both her sister-wife and brother-husband. "Why didn't any of you tell me about this. We should discuss this first."

Aella was the one to answer this time. "As Marion said, I didn't know if it would happen. But fortunately we were able to prepare. The Vaults can hold until this is over. I apologize we didn't tell you, we should've told you about it."

Vaella nodded in understanding, but still felt a bit annoyed to be left out but she kept it to herself.

Marion then said to Draeden and Vaella, "We should head into the vault NOW." The vault shake a little bit after he finished. Without further questioning, Draeden and Vaella walked into the vault as the heavy and thick double vault doors closed slowly behind them.

But as they walked further in, both Vaella and Draeden were confused as to why Their dragons were sleeping so soundly even when the entire vault shook. They could tell that they are still alive, as they could still see the rise and fall of their body. But something was out of place, there were no footsteps of Marion and Aella behind following them.

And they got even more confused when they turned around and saw Marion and Aella standing outside of the closing doors with tears streaking down their cheeks. Draeden and Vaella looked at each other in first confusion and then horror as the doors were soon going to seal shut but Marion and Aella didn't even make an effort to enter.

Draeden and Vaella immediately darted towards the closing doors, but they suddenly felt weak and drained of energy when they were nearing the doors.

With a thud both of them fell on to the floor. They are still living though, before Draeden fully closed his eyes however, he saw his crying mother and father each throw 2 letters into the vault. As the vault doors closed Draeden's mismatched eyes were closed forcibly by the eyelids and got pulled into a deep sleep.

Aella was now weeping openly after the vault doors closed. She will never again see her beloved son and sister. She knows this needs to be done to save them. But she can't help but feel regret. Aella wanted to hold them and let them know how much she loves them and cared for them.

But now all she could feel was regret. She wanted to see her son marry and have children of his own. She wanted to hold her grandchildren. And she wanted to tell him how proud she is of him.

Aella wanted to tell Vaella her beloved sister-wife how much she loved her, how much Aella has cherished her. And that she is glad to have Vaella at her side.

Marion was the same, he wanted to witness their achievements so much. There is so much he hasn't done with them, so much he hasn't told them. But he needed to do this. This was the only way to save his beloved sister-wife and son.

Marion went beside Aella and put his hands on her shoulder. Aella cried into his chest as she threw herself at Marion. Marion held her close to comfort each other.

Lady Alaynna was really nervous as she rushed towards Draeden's chambers in her nightgown. She ran as fast as she could through the opposite direction of the running crowds. If this was the apocalypse, She wanted to spend her last moments with the man she loves.

When she finally reached Draeden's chambers. She was shocked to see the doors opened. She peeked inside and her heart dropped. The room was empty, Alaynna frowned in worry and wondered where he could've been. Her usually mysterious beauty disappeared into a nervous expression.

Then she thought that Draeden must have gone to her chambers, wanting to share their last moments with her as well. Alaynna cursed herself for not thinking things through. As she was about to rush out of the room. The ground shook even more intense than the last.

Looking out the window, Alaynna saw the guest tower where her bed chambers are located that shook extremely violently. Alaynna's eyes widened and watched in horror as cracks ran up the tower as it continued to shake.

Then the next thing she knew was that the tower COLLAPSED. The base of the tower collapsed first, then the higher parts of the tower fell, crushing many people on the ground beneath the tower and as it fell. The massive tower was now reduced to a large pile of rubble, no doubt the people inside did not survive it.

Alaynna howled desperately and depressingly as she believed Draeden to be in her chambers, waiting for her in her room at the now collapsed guest tower. Alaynna let out one last sorrowful howl before curling into a ball of tears and flesh on the floor.

She will never forgive herself for having a hand in her beloved Draeden's death. She slowly stood up and walked towards the window.

She stood up on the edge. All she could hope now is that she will be able to see him again, whether it be the heavens, hells or in the next life. She will apologise to him, and perhaps with good fortune, they might be able to be together, in the world of the next.

She leaned her body forward and she fell from the window. The air parted around as her speeding body fell and she felt the winds splashing against her face in the process."I'm coming, my love. Wait for me". Those were her last words as her body met the ground.

After Aella has recovered, she can feel the foul magic being released by the Fourteen Flames. The greed and sins of men have unleashed the wrath of the flames as retribution and punishment.

Aella sighed as she knew what she must do. The twelve dragons she had brought inside all know what must be done. The dragons were worried but they did not show it. Because they know what they must do to save this side of their world.

Dragons always have a part to play in the great cycle of life. Whether at the start of the world or the end of the world they have a duty to this world.

They have followed Marion inside the vaults voluntarily. As they know that their magic and power was needed to stop this dark force that will overwhelm the world.

Aella stood in front of the twelve dragons. Her own two dragons crawled beside her. Maerus and Vaelar were worried for their rider's wellbeing, knowing what she has to do.

Aella then spoke to the dragons. "O' great dragons, we are here to salvage what my kind has wreaked upon this land. But there are also those who were innocent. Will you lend me your great powers to me so that I may reverse this dark force"! The dragons all lowered their heads to show their compliance.

Marion then stood beside Aella. They took the two of the Fourteen Goblets of Leanna and cut their wrist. Their blood leaked into the Valyrian steel made goblet after they pressed the goblet to the fresh cut wounds.

The dragons follow suit as they bite their tongue and try to drip their hot dragon blood into the small goblets.

Aella had already cast magic to make Draeden, Vaella and their dragons to a deep slumber. But to make them able to survive their slumber until the lands around them were finally able for the dragons to roam they needed sacrifice.

That is why Marion, Aaella and the dragons were needed. After the goblets were filled to the brim, they splashed the contents of the goblets to the door of the vault. Blood painted the door of the vault red after they had splashed the blood.

Then after that was done, they moved on, Aella recited the words. "As only death may pay for life, I, Aella, a sister, a mother, a wife and a sorceress hereby sacrifice myself for the members inside of this Vault and the rest of Essos!" After Aella was done, Marion spoke next. "As only death may pay for life, I, Marion, a brother, a father, a husband and a lord freeholder, hereby sacrifice myself for the members inside of this vault and the rest of Essos!"

The dragons just roared at the vault doors after Marion was done. Marion and Aella then walked in front of the dragons without any fear. After they are in front of the twelve dragons, Marion and Aella pulled each other into a deep embrace and kissed one another.

The twelve dragons taking this as their cue breathed their fire on the couple. At first, the dragon fire didn't seem to touch them as they part before it could lick them. But then soon, the fire embraced the already embracing couple. They feel no heat, no pain, only the warmth of each other as they soon touch the ground.

Maerus and Vaelar howled sorrowfully at the sacrifice of their bonded rider. The other dragons went to them to try and comfort them. After a while they continued the ritual. The twelve dragons breathed dragon fire at the floor beneath them of the large chamber that they are currently in. They also feel no pain, no heat, only the warmth of the other dragons as they burned themselves with their own dragon fire.

Dragonstone, During The Doom.

Gaemon Targaryen was shocked up from his bed by a horrifying and blood curdling scream beside him. He looked to his right and saw his sister-wife, Daenys standing up beside their bed and screaming while covering her ears with her two hands.

Gaemon immediately rushed towards her and wrapped her in his own arm and comforted her. "It's okay Daenys, I'm here." But all Daenys could do at the moment was scream in horror at what she saw in her dream. Guards burst open the door of the chamber to check on them.

That only did more to startle Daenys as she screamed louder.

After a while, Daenys has finally calmed down a little. Aenar Targaryen had gone into their chambers to ask what it was about. "What is it Daenys? What startled you"?

Daenys, red eyed and still sobbing answered "The DOOM, it HAPPENED!" Aenar and Gaemon looked at each other. They had lost a lot when Daenys told them about her dream of the DOOM.

Aenar most of all when Aella Draeterys had mistaken them for cheating bastards that went against their word and had gelded him. Aenar shook his head and asked Daenys, "What did you see in it"? Daenys wasn't able to describe what was happening there.

So she just gave Aenar, her father a look of dread. Aenar, who knew what that look meant, it means it was so dreadful that no words are able to describe it. Aenar just sighed.

Gaemon, still skeptical about her dream back then said, "We still don't know if it has happened yet, we should hear later what the merchants have to say". Daenys didn't retort at her brother-husband's distrust as she too hoped that it was just a dream.

The screams of men and women can be heard from anywhere in the city of Valyria. The ground they stood on cracked open as lava poured out from the cracks. The fires and debris shot from the Fourteen Flames had already crushed and burned many people. The fires had ignited the entire city as the buildings were built closely.

The smoke from the Fourteen Flames made everyone gag and die from suffocating.

Dragons were either burned to death or suffocated by smoke. The one last, and largest explosion from the Fourteen Flames, shattered the entire peninsula separating the land into several islands. Everyone who survived from before had died from that as fires beneath the ground engulfed the entire peninsula as it exploded. The fire was so hot even dragons were burned to crisps.

The land that held the city of Valyria was separated from the land of the long summer by a boiling sea where the north and south of the Fourteen Flames once connected. The sea boiled because of the volcanoes beneath the sea. The volcanoes erupted on the entire peninsula but they stopped erupting at the north of Draconys.

The fires were meant to erupt all of the volcanoes beneath the grounds of all of Essos, yet it stopped erupting at Draconys.

Draeden, in his deep slumber dreamed. In his dream, he saw a man conquering the continent of the west with dragons in another reality. He dreamt of many things, a civil war between a family that had the ability to ride dragons. But in his dreams there was a girl, who was watching the dreams with him.

A war of five kings, that drove the entire continent of the west to near destruction.

An exiled girl, with dragon blood, dreams of reconquering her homeland with her three dragons.

Yet this is a world where if Draeden did not exist.

Draeden was confused as to why he was seeing this, he understood that men will always war and battle each other for power, it is the way of men.

But he didn't even know why he was seeing this. He would most probably forget everything about what he dreamt after he woke up. IF he woke up.

But then the dreams changed. It changed into something mysterious. It showed that there are no gods nor demons in this world, but a force that drives everything. A force that brings both prosperity and doom to all beings.

That is where he dreamed of "The Song Of Ice And Fire". This time he and the girl from before his dreams were not alone to witness the dream however, they could see a man looking into the dream as well. The dream of "The Song Of Ice And Fire." That is where he saw the truth of what happened to Valyria.

"Ice For The Continent Of The West , While Fire For The Continent Of The East."

That is the meaning of the Song. The sins of men will give the force of malice in this world power, NO! the sins of men IS! the force of Malice in this world.

The greed of men will drive the world into an endless cycle of destruction until ice and fire conquers the world. And even then the two elements will still clash as is the natural cycle of the world

Yet all is disrupted by something far more powerful than malice and greed. The fires of Essos were quelled by a great power. The power, was the sacrifice of parents.

Draeden realised what it meant. HIS parents, have sacrificed themselves. The selfish malice of fire that will wipe out all of the eastern continent was quenched by the selfless and gentle water of his parents.

But the ice has not melted

Draeden with the man and woman witnessed as a never ending night and winter that will engulf all of the continent of the west. The land was covered with ice, and they will witness no sun until the end of time.

Draeden was horrified at that. To make matters worse they showed him the champion of the night, THE NIGHT'S KING. Feeling being watched, The being with blue skin and eyes turned to stare at Draeden and the pair of man and woman.

The battle of stare continued for a moment until the Night's king walked towards them. The dream immediately shifted to the ruined Valyria. The city was completely in ruins and deadly smoke filled the air around them.

But then it was nothing, Draeden slowly stirred from his lying position, and tried to open his eyes. He immediately closed his eyelids once again as the light was insufferable to his eyes. But slowly the eyelids opened. Turning his head and looking to his left, Draeden saw his aunt-mother Vaella stirring from her deep slumber as well.

Draeden made an effort to rise up, he was expecting sore and aching muscles from his sleeping posture, but instead he was feeling well, nothing was aching. The fires in the Vault lit as he moved.

Draeden then heard rustling behind him, turning around he realised what was happening.

The Dragons have awoken.

I apologise for the shorter chapter but this chapter I just want to write about the Doom Of Valyria. And this was my take on 'The Song Of Ice And Fire'. And a little myth in it.

Someone has mentioned that the dialogues were unclear, so I made some changes.

Who do you think were the Man and Woman in the dream? Let me know in the Reviews.

I was able to publish this in time because it was a shorter chapter. And that's it for this this chapter, I will try to post the next as early as I can but time isn't my ally right now and I have a lot to do.

Until the next time.
