AtlierSky- True, we do need more female leaders. As for the other Clans moving about, it might not happen as much (only a few, like Cloud Tail's new ShC friends, he'll make soon and some certain TC cats)

randomwarriorfan- Yeah, I don't understand why they never had Yellowfang's power shown again because it's like she changed her whole life for nothing, so I remembered and kept it. And of course, Fire is always something special, using guilt and such to defeat his enemies. I really enjoyed writing that chapter too.

Yes, I miss most of the cats I killed off and kind of regret it but it will change the survivors into who they'll become in the future and it is the life of a warrior. Fire Heart is going to have a different mate in this AU.

I didn't make a prologue or epilogue for this book because there was no need, mainly because it is a continuation. Here's the next chapter. Enjoy.

Owl Eyes barely paid attention to the new leader of ShadowClan. Instead he stared his brother down. Pebble Heart sat calmly by Runningnose as if he had been a part of their Clan all along.

Why didn't he tell me?

"Tall Shadow!" Quick Water gasped. "Wow, I never expected her to somehow take over ShadowClan."

Gray Wing and Skystar were also looking pleasantly surprised before the former smiled and nodded at his old friend.

"How is a SkyClan cat leader of another Clan!" Owl Eyes briefly heard Tigerclaw shout from among the other deputies. "It's absurd!"

The ShadowClan cats growled and Russetfur, who sat by Deadfoot and Leopardfur turned on the dark tabby with a snarl. Owl Eyes guessed she was the new deputy.

"Well, this is a pleasant surprise, but congratulations, Shadowstar," Crookedstar dipped his head.

"Thank you, Crookedstar. Runningnose had a vision and StarClan chose me to be the new leader. And I promise to serve them well!"

After a moment of surprise, Skystar meowed, "congratulations. I'll be happy to lead alongside you."

Probably one of the only leaders we can trust, Owl Eyes thought what his leader was thinking.

"SkyClan suffered through a forest fire last moon," Skystar started after Shadowstar, waiting a moment as a few cats murmured about the previous news. "We lost Petal and Yellowfang, and miss them dearly."

Owl Eyes noticed two ShadowClan warriors bow their heads as well as Runningnose. He guessed the other two were Yellowfang's siblings. She had talked about them sometimes.

Skystar continued on, mentioning Jagged Peak's new kits and how strong SkyClan was before stepping back.

I wanna be like him one day, Owl Eyes thought. The apprentice had always dreamed of being a great leader one day and had been envious when Birch got chosen to be Skystar's apprentice. I'll just work really hard.

Crookedstar nodded in acknowledgement of Skystar as Thistlestar made about the same report. Owl Eyes noticed Leopardfur's eyes glinting from the base of the Great Rock and he knew she was remembering how her Clan had the debt of both forest Clans.

After Tallstar and Crookedstar made their reports, the leaders jumped off the Great Rock and the Gathering ended.

Throughout the clearing, the crowd was breaking up into four groups, preparing to leave. Owl Eyes raced towards the ShadowClan crowd before he missed his chance.

"Pebble Heart!" he shouted. His brother pushed through the crowd to greet him. "Hey, congrats, I guess on being ShadowClan's medicine apprentice."

"I'm actually a full medicine cat alongside Runningnose," Pebble Heart meowed happily, eyes alight with pride.

"Wow, really? Good job." Owl Eyes always thought he would be last to get his full status since being a medicine cat took a lot of training.

"Well, see you at the next Gathering?" Pebble Heart asked, good-natured grin intact as always.

"Yeah," he purred, letting his sadness melt away. They'd always be brothers…it'd just be strange that he was in a different Clan.

But he was happy his brother had found out where he belonged.

He waved his tail at his brother once more before racing back to Cloud Tail's side. Not to his surprise anymore, but his other brother was talking with Brightpelt before Darkstripe snapped at her to hurry up.

Sparrow Fur didn't like it but Owl Eyes was sure they were just friends. "Well, can't wait to get home and tell Dust Muzzle about the Gathering," he sighed to Cloud Tail.

"Yeah," the white apprentice agreed, glancing back at the ThunderClan cats, a distracted look in his eyes.

The sky was growing pale by the time the Gathering Patrol returned to camp. Thunder, who had stayed behind to guard camp, jumped to his paws.

"How did it go? Any news?"

"ShadowClan has a new leader," Skystar told his son.

"Really? Who?"

"Tall Shadow–Shadowstar now?"

Thunder's eyes widened. "Wow. That's amazing. I never expected them to actually stay. Let alone one of them to become the leader."

"At least you'll like one of your fellow leaders for once," Mouse Ear said with a smirk.

Skystar rolled his eyes.

Alder and Birch had run out from the apprentice's hut while Nettle approached with Sparrow Fur. Holly was peering out of the nursery. Dust Muzzle pushed past and raced to Owl Eyes.

"Tell me about the Gathering!" The tabby kit yowled before his mother's shout made him flinch.

"Maybe later," Owl Eyes purred, touching his nose to the kit's ear.

"Alright, everyone go back to bed," Gray Wing ordered. "Raven Hope, can you lead the dawn patrol? Take anyone who hasn't been to the Gathering." He then glanced at Lightning Tail racing around. "Or anyone who isn't tired."

Raven Hope dipped his head and looked at Thunder questioningly. "Yeah, I'll come. Let's go, Lightning Tail!"

"I'll come with," Owl Eyes meowed, looking distracted.

"Mind if it's a crowd?" Leaf added, walking over.

"Not at all," Raven Hope murmured. "Let's roll."

A short chapter, I know, but there wasn't much to write except the reactions to ShadowClan's new leader. Next chapter however will be following up Pebble's most recent dream.
