After Johnny, Sonya and their driver exited the Cadillac Escalade, Kano took advantage of the moment and grasped Nary's hand. He always loved having her all to himself. The corners of his lips pulled into a playful grin, "Cupcake, seeing you be feisty with that cunt Karen and hearing about you giving Rudin what he deserved-shit, it made me love you even more! And I didn't think that was possible!"
A small scoff left her mouth as she leaned closer to him, "It tracks that me confronting that hateful bitch and revealing my rebellious youth would turn you on."
"Oh, it does! It shows me that you're the right mix of sugar and spice, Babe." He loosely bent his fingers and lovingly grazed her cheek with his knuckles. "It's another reason why you're my dream woman."
Her pillow lips stretched into a radiant smile, "Mm, well I loved seeing you talk about your past and the love you have for you mom and uncle." She brought her hand to his heart, "Men who aren't afraid to express their emotions are strong and sexy!"
"Ahh, I see…Can they also get a little hint about your surprise? Pretty please?" He gave her his best attempt at puppy dog eyes and pouted.
Nary couldn't help but giggle at her fiancé and decided to throw him a bone. From her purse, she retrieved a small white oval mint that had flecks of green and brought it to his lips, "Here's a little preview!"
Without hesitation, he opened his mouth and savored the refreshing taste of the mint on his tongue. Before he could close his lips, she hungrily claimed his mouth with hers. The invigorating sensation of the cool mint and their tongues eagerly meeting caused them both to moan. Sounds of car doors suddenly slamming interrupted their intimate moment.
His eyes narrowed once he spotted a team of armed and masked robbers exit a black van. One of them headed in their direction and removed his semiautomatic pistol from his hip holster.
Kano instantly became irate, "Fuckin' hell! I'm gonna rip these pricks' heads off!"
Nary saw their driver (LD) obey the gunman, "Kano, I have an idea but we need to play along with him." She nodded at her future husband.
The confidence in dark her eyes and tone assured him, "Sweetheart, I've got ya back!" He then opened the car door and held his hands up in the air.
"Well, well, you two are obviously rich fuckers! And you're both looking great especially you, Princess!" He winked at Nary, "But I've got a job to do! So, give me all your shit then my mates and I will go on our merry way!" The brute said with a small chuckle.
A part of Kano was amused by him, he would have fit in perfectly with the Black Dragon clan. The other half of him wanted to shred the man apart for aiming a gun at Nary.
Her hands were still in air as she took a step forward and stared directly into his eyes. A sweet smile was on her full red lips, "Or, you and your getaway driver can bail empty handed but unscathed."
A worried LD looked at Nary, "Are you crazy? Just give him want he wants!"
"Listen to your little chauffeur, Princess. I'd hate to blow your pretty little head off." He gave her a small shake of his head.
With a cackle, Kano commented, "Aw, Mate. You really shouldn't underestimate my missus."
Cocking his head, he inquired, "And why's that?"
The smug look on his face matched his voice, "Because she's a muthafuckin' Jedi!"
Right on cue, Nary splayed her fingers and pushed her hands forward blasting the criminal through the glass doors of the convenience store. The stunned getaway driver clumsily got out of the van with a revolver in his right hand. Kano quickly strode towards him and used his laser eye to sever half of the weapon and the robber's index finger.
An anguished scream came from the maimed convict as he gawked at his injury. "Me fuckin' finger!"
"And now, your head!" Kano's hard punch to the outlaw's face rendered him unconscious.
Back in the convenience store, the tallest thief told Sinara to empty the cash register. At the front doors, the robber with the bulkiest body stood sideways splitting his attention between the outside and the store. The one speaking to Sonya demanded that she drop her purse on the floor and kick it towards him. Just as her clutch handbag landed on the hard tile Johnny emerged from the restrooms.
With a big bottle of vodka in his right hand, the actor stammered, "Hh-hey guys, what-what's going on here-oh fuuck!"
The bulky thug turned his back to the door and gave the celebrity his full attention, "Holy shit, Johnny Cage?! Mate, I'm your biggest fan!"
The tallest thief chastised him, "Goddamn it, Red, don't get distracted!"
Sonya's assailant spoke, "Yeah Red, listen to Syd, don't fuck this up for us!"
"Burnie, I don't need your fuckin' help!" Syd shouted.
Johnny winked at Sonya then hurled the vodka bottle at Red's head and grinned when it shattered against his forehead. The distraction gave her the chance to use her arcana. At half its power, she blasted Burnie's body against the cash register. Sinara swiftly grabbed the pistol's barrel redirecting it away from her, kicked him in the crotch then twisted the weapon out of Syd's hand. Sonya quickly launched a bolt of pink energy at Syd knocking him against wall and watched his body slump to the floor.
In a cocky tone, Johnny said to Sonya, "Nice one! And I told you, my arm is mint!"
A ghost of a smile touched her lips, she tipped her head at him, "I stand here corrected."
A shocked Sinara looked at Johnny and Sonya, "Oh my god, you're a superhero?!"
Before they could respond another crook crashed through the glass front doors. The three of them heard another man's voice cry out in agony followed by a loud thud. When they went outside, they saw Kano standing over an unconscious man with a chopped off finger and half a gun in his hand.
Looking at the carnage they caused, Kano excitedly stated, "Best fuckin' date ever!"
