Lucas couldn't ignore the ringing of his cellphone any longer.
As he pulled Brooke's car into the shared driveway.
"Who's so eager to get you're attention.?" Brooke asked.
"No one important i'm sure. Take the food inside."
"I'll be right in to have dinner with you and Alaska." Lucas proclaimed.
"Don't take too long." Brooke replied.
"I won't." Lucas said. Leaning over to kiss her gently.
Lucas picked the call once Brooke was in the house.
"Lucas Scott. I paid for Peyton's treatment. But going forward."
"Anything else regarding her. Needs to be discussed with her father Larry Sawyer. Let me give you his contact info." Lucas explained. Before blocking the mental health facility's phone number.
He hadn't seen or spoken to Peyton since that first and only visit years ago.
Peyton was in his past. It had to stay that way.
He finally got his family back and couldn't risk losing them again.
