Redemption

It all started on Monday morning, another typical day in which everyone was in class earlier then usual for most. That wasn't the odd thing of course, there was a new exchange student in town! Now, I mean normally people would be excited to meet a new person in class, right? Well Lila Rossi wasn't your typical new exchange student.

She had thick brown curls, aburn eyes, and was about average height. Everyone welcomed her warmly to the class, of course. But Marinette had an uneasy feeling about this new girl, and so did Adrien, Alya, Nino and Chloe. She was giving off a vibe the five were acutely aware of. Their video presentation went off well, and Madame Bustier gave them all extra credit for their efforts while promising to share their video to the other classes at school.

Madame Bustier cleared her throat, "Everyone please welcome our new student, Lila Rossi. She and mother moved here from Italy due to Madame Rossi being a diplomat. They have been briefed by City Hall about our terrorist issue, please aid Lila around the City to she can get around."

In came Lila, smiling sweetly at her new pray... er, classmates. She spotted Marinette and started scheming against the blue haired teen, another do gooder eh. This will be interesting.

Classes began smoothly, until the new student stuck, "You know I am best friends with Ladybug."

Alya gasped but then raised a brow sceptically, "Um, aren't you new here? So far the closest person that Ladybug could call a friend is Chat Noir."

"It would be dangerous for either of the heros to be close to civilians, they could be used to lure the heros into their doom." Pointed out Marinette.

"But, I know who she is!" Lila insisted.

It was Chloe who spoke, "I've met Ladybug personally and know that she wouldn't want her best friend to make any such claims about their friendship out in public. That could potentially hurt said friend and expose her identity!"

"Chloe is right, there is a ninety percent risk that anyone who are friends with the heros could risk themselves, the family of the heros, and their identities if Hawkmoth ever caught wind of their closeness to any civilian in the city." Max provided.

Adrien then ask, "Chloe by personally do you mean you met her as a civilian?"

"Of course not! Everyone knows how careful she is with her identity Adrien. I meant during akuma battles when either her or Chat would save me, and she visited me after my stint as Queen Wasp." Chloe replied looking down guiltily.

Nino patted her shoulder, "Don't worry about it dudette, we know you didn't mean to do what you did. Your mom is a real witch."

Lila stood in shock, what? They didn't fall for it! Why?!"

"Please sit down Miss Rossi. Lies about such things should not be allowed to take root. You could be a real target for Hawkmoth if what you claimed was true." Madame Bustier says pointing to a seat in the back.

Chloe and Marinette shared a glance from their seats, this one's gonna be trouble. And they didn't know the half of it. Thank the Lord Alya didn't believe her! The young aspiring journalist shook her head, but she knew it was a lie and she didn't want to fall into that trap. But she filed that information away for later, I'll ask the heroes for an interview.

Lila sat on her seat struck at how her plan failed. But she was silently scheming up another lie to get this class eating out of her hand. She looked at Adrien and smirked, hmm, maybe I can use him...

Right, said boy felt the hairs on the nape of his neck rise as a unpleasant chill rushed through his body.

Plagg felt the devious thoughts of the girl and hissed in disgust, he maybe the God of Chaos and Destruction but what he saw in the girl's mind was just disturbing! He needed to talk with Tikki and tell his other half to warn her holder about this girl. He used their telepathy link...

~ Kwami telepathy ~

Plagg: Hey Tikki, are you there?!

Tikki: What is it Plagg? You sound distressed...

Plagg: This new girl is sending some pretty dark vibes sugarcube.

Tikki: How bad exactly, stinky sock?

Plagg: The girl is pretty sinister, her target is your bug. I may be the bringer of chaos but even I can draw a line.

Tikki: I'll let my holder know about it. I'm not going to let that girl target my bug!

Plagg: She plans to use my kid as well Sugarcube. This she devil plans to turn their friends against them, she's a psychopath and a liar."

Tikki: I think we better consult Master Fu on this. I am afraid if this new one will want to work with Hawkmoth.

Plagg: I can say that she'd be a willing participant in terrorizing the City for sure.

Tikki: Thanks for letting me know, I'll have to talk to my bug about this. We got new from the Bee user.

Plagg: What is it?

Tikki: Well, she saw my holder transform back into her civilian self.

Plagg: It was after the battle wasn't it? Did she mean to see the de-trasformation?

Tikki: It wasn't intentional in the least. The Bee user just happened to see the flash then saw my holder coming out from the ally we were hiding in.

Plagg: We might have to debate on a reveal soon Sugarcube.

Tikki: I know Stinky Sock. We'll have to speak with Master Fu. I think they are ready to know the other's identities, and it'll make it easier on them.

Plagg: Yeah. And might help in their civilian lives as well, if either of them can't get away.

Tikki: Alright.

~ End of Telepathy connection ~

The day passed with no drama, but the she devil continues to scheme. Marinette, Alya, and Chloe agreed to meet up at the bakery to talk about the new girl. Adrien sensed trouble looming over them, he felt Lila's vindictive air and suffered and went to warn Marinette quickly. Mari for her part met up with him in the locker room.

"What is it Adrien?" Sha asked him worriedly.

He ruffled his hair, "I just wanted to warn you about Lila. She gives off some vindictive vibes, I am afraid of what she'll do if we confront her."

Mari had to smile, her heart fluttered at how much he cared.

"Thank you Adrien. I felt that too, I'm meeting up with Chloe and Alya later." She tells him nodding.

Adrien frowns, "So what are we going to do about her?"

"We can't antagonize her, so unless we can prove her lies we can't out her directly." Mari tells after some thought.

Adrien nods, "We'll have to be careful around her. Chloe might ba able to sort out any claims Lila makes towards famous people and I can too."

"Alya can debunk her claims about Ladybug and Chat Noir if she makes any more." Mari supplies.

They both bid the other good bye before heading their separate paths.

Later that day

TS Bakery - Mari's Room

18:00

Mari, Alya, and Chloe sat around her mini lounge area discussing the events of the day. Though Lila had not made any more statements throughout the day, to the relief of the ladies.

"I think she's seeking attention." Said Alya eyes glinting with suspicion.

Chloe scoffed, "That and more. She looked like she had plans, I did not like the way she was snearing at Mari and then her sweet smile at Adrien ."

"Adrien took me aside before we left and warned me to be careful around her. We can't antagonize her or call her out without proof if she claims something." Mari says frowning.

Alya's mind was reeling, "I don't like her, she reminds of someone from my old school who almost drove one our classmates to madness. She has a bad vibe about her."

Mari looked on worriedly, how were they going to deal with the new girl. She knew that Lila was up to something, and that something had to do with their group but without proof she couldn't bring up to the the teacher. Nino had warned them the same thing as well, but the group knew that Lila was setting up for something bigger.

"I am ready to debunk her if she claims anything about celebrities and notable people." Chloe reassures them.

Alya shook her head, "I have a feeling she'll target Mari specifically. I saw give Mari that vindictive expression."

"I have a feeling she'll cause a divide between the class somehow, I really don't like that to happen." Mari says worriedly.

Chloe smiled, "You always thought of others before yourself, that's what makes you a great person. I have feeling that our class has more brains then they let on, it'll take more than just a few well placed words to get them."

"I believe they will. Sabrina just sent me something." Mari says facing the screen of her phone towards the three of them.

Alya gasped, "Oh my, that level of scheming is just... I can't even."

"Sabrina is quiet resourceful, I wonder how she was able to capture this." Says Mari impressed by the red haired girl.

Chloe chuckled, "She's always been the sneakiest of people in the class. She gets all the dirt on the people try to seel me and daddy out on occasion, that's how her dad gets tabs on all the criminals in the city."

"She'd make a potential intelligence agent someday." Compliments Alya.

The girls sat in Mari's room trying to counteract Lila's plot based on Sabrina's footage. After dinner both Chloe and Alya left for their home with former offering to drop the latter to her house.

What happens next?

Oh wow! We are now at chapter seven, eight more to go till the end of this tale. Lila is in and scheming against our MCs, this little she devil does not get any sort of redemption. Thank you all for the positive reviews and some constructive criticism on the fanfic. Alright!
