A week later Randy was in Dallas for an autograph signing. He and John were in the hotel bar having a beer.
"I'm in love John." Randy said.
"With who?"
"I can't tell you, not for another month anyway."
"Why?"
"It's a complicated situation."
"How long have you been seeing her?"
"Three weeks."
"And you're already in love?"
"I know how it sounds but she's great." "She knows everything about me and she doesn't judge me for it."
Meanwhile Maria was at Carmen's apartment.
"Ok, who are you dating?" Maria asked.
"What makes you think I'm dating someone?"
"Are you kidding?" "You're glowing lately."
"I'm dating Randy."
"Carmen." She said disapprovingly.
"I know, but I'm so happy." "It's not just the sex." "He's so sweet and caring." "It's only been three weeks, but I'm in love with him." "You know me, I'm not usually like this but I'm crazy about him."
"Just be careful."
"I'm only his doctor for another month." "Then we're going public."
The next night Randy came through Carmen's front door. Carmen greeted him at the door.
"Hey baby." He said.
"Hi." They kissed. "I have a pizza coming." "Do you want a glass of wine?"
"Yeah." She went to go get them both a glass of wine. She got them both a glass of wine. They sat down on the couch. "Once we're allowed to tell people about us, I want to take you to meet my parents."
She smiled. "I would love to."
There was a knock at the door. "I'll get it." When Randy opened the door, he saw a man he'd never seen before. It was Max. "Can I help you?"
"Is Carmen here?" Max asked.
"Carmen someone's here to see you."
She came into the room and immediately got angry when she saw Max. "Get out." "I'm reporting you for stalking."
"I'm just visiting you." Max said.
"You illegally looked up my address Max, leave." She shut the door in his face. He left.
Carmen turned to Randy. "I'm sorry."
"For what, you didn't do anything." "Why didn't you tell me he looked up your address like that?"
"We weren't together yet."
"Do you want to go to the police?"
"First thing in the morning."
