Welcome back to the next chapter of Dekic X!

It's time to look at the aftermath of the Battle Trials and see how it'll affect our characters and how it will motivate them going forward.

I also want to get another chapter of this story out before the release of Sonic Frontiers, as I'm super excited about that game and can't wait to see how it plays! So as a way to get all of my Sonic fans that read this story hyped, I'll be giving you this chapter to read and enjoy until the game's release!

"~Follow me. I'm standing on the border of everything.~"

"That's good. I got to write that down." said Izuku as he wrote down the words he just came up with for a new song he's been trying to write for the past week.

"How is it that you can just come up with random lyrics for songs so quickly, Izuku?" asked Tails.

"How is it that you have a genius-level intellect, but your Quirk has nothing to do with it?" asked Izuku right back.

"...It just comes naturally?!"

"I guess that works for me too."

The two friends laughed it off as they continued to walk to the apartment complex where the Midoriya family lives in. While Izuku was still in a bit of a sour mood due to his failed attempt to make peace with Katsuki, brainstorming a new song was quickly helping him feel better.

The two friends made it into to building and opening the door to the green teen's home... Only to find that it was completely dark on the inside and you could hardly see the light that was barely showing through the curtains.

"Did we forget to pay the electric bill or something?" asked Izuku.

The lights were suddenly turned on and...

"SURPRISE!"

The lights were suddenly turned on again and Izuku and Tails were greeted by the sight of a surprise party! Inko, Eri, Sonikku, Og, and two faces that Izuku hadn't seen in a while were there with a cake, snacks, decorations, and a banner that had the word, 'Congratulations' written in green.

"What's all this about?" asked Izuku.

"It's a party to celebrate your hard work on getting into U.A. sweetheart!" said Inko with a smile.

"Really, a party?!" replied Izuku.

"Yeah, man! You've earned the right to celebrate your effort paying off for your dream. I also sense a bit of negative energy from you, so this party should do the trick in ejecting it from your systems and whatnot." said Og.

Izuku was sure that Og was referring to his negativity about not having a very civilized conversation with Katsuki, so maybe this surprise party was what he needed to lift his spirit up a little.

"You were in on this weren't you?" Izuku asked Tails.

"Pretty much, yeah."

"Come here, you little secret keeper." Izuku then brought Tails into a headlock and started to give him a noogie while laughing. Tails also laughed at his best friend's show of affection towards him.

Everyone at the party laughed at the sweet moment between buddies. Izuku had truly come a long way from where he started out and was now on the road to becoming a great hero with plenty of comrades by his side to help him out in the future.

"I'm proud of you, little green streak!" said a man that walked up to Izuku and extended his hand for a handshake.

The man looked to be part American. He looked slim, but well-built at the same time. He had short brown hair, peach skin, and clear blue eyes. He was wearing a dark green t-shirt with an unbutton red flannel shirt over it and a pair of blue jeans.

"Thanks a lot, Donut Lord." said Izuku as he shook, 'Donut Lord's' hand.

"We also got you a present, Izuku!" said a woman that held a red box in her hands.

The woman looked to be of African-American descent, which was mostly due to her brown skin, long black hair, and brown eyes. For clothes, she wore a pink button-up shirt and a pair of blue jeans as well.

"For me? Aww, you should have, Pretzel Lady." replied Izuku with a blush.

"Izu, call Tom and Maddie by their names. Mama said that's the nice thing to do, right?" said Eri.

"She's right, son. You really need to work on your manners a bit more." added Inko.

"Come on, Inko. The kid's just being himself, let him enjoy it. We like the names." said Tom in the green-haired teen's defense.

"You're only young once, so let him have his fun." added Maddie.

"Fine, but I'll be working on his manners with him in the near future."

"Me too, Izu needs to be nicer so that girls can like him and make me an aunt!"

"ERI! DON'T SAY THAT!" Izuku's face was blushing so hard that he was now as red as an apple.

Everyone else laughed at Izuku's expense, but it was all in good fun. Izuku just sighed before a smile returned to his face to see that all of his friends and family are together and are here to celebrate in his honor. He then looked over to smile at Tom and Maddie to show that he was glad that they were there.

Tom and Maddie Wachowski were family friends of the Midoriyas for years now. When Izuku was younger, he needed a babysitter when Inko couldn't come home due to being at work. Maddie was introduced to the little green speedster and the two bonded very quickly. She was a veterinarian and would share pictures with Izuku about the different animals that she took care of. She was even able to take care of Sonikku when he fell ill from time to time, despite the fact that she had never seen anything like him before she still manage to make him better. Her favorite activity was yoga and she was so good at it that Izuku wondered if she even had any bones in her body, or if that was her Quirk. Her Quirk was really, Ill Detection, where she can look at a patient and tell what was wrong with them just by a few minutes of examining them. This made her really good at her job. But as for her yoga hobby, Izuku saw her in a position that reminded him of a pretzel and decided that he would nickname her, Pretzel Lady!

Tom was a police officer and that meant that he worked closely with many heroes on cases. When Maddie was unable to take care of one day, Tom stepped in and the two of them bonded just as quickly as he did with Maddie, maybe even quicker. Izuku asked Tom what it was like working with heroes and what rules and laws had to be followed. Tom answered as many questions as he could and was enjoying his time with the little speedster. It came to a point where both Tom and Maddie took turns babysitting Izuku when they could. Tom ended up being an important male role model for Izuku he was basically the father that Izuku never had since his biological dad was gone, (Inko also never gave him many details about him either) Izuku even considered Tom a hero in his own right, even if he wasn't a Pro Hero, to Izuku, he was a great one for his desire to help people in need, which is where Izuku's desire to be a hero that helps people mostly comes from. His Quirk was called, Sprinkle Spit, in which instead of spitting out saliva, Tome spits out sprinkles. You can usually see him spitting on his donuts to make them tastier with added sprinkles, which is the reason why he always eats donuts alone. If you see a sprinkled donut near Tom Wachowski, there's a good chance that he added them himself. Speaking of his love for donuts, whenever Izuku sees him on the job, he is always seen with a donut nearby. Izuku could honestly count the number of times he's seen Tom with a donut in a year with fifteen sets of hands, compared to the times he's seen him without a donut with just two, therefore, Izuku nicknamed him, the Donut Lord!

"Anyway, open your present, Izuku!" smiled Maddie as she handed him the box.

"Thanks, let's see what's in here?!" Izuku said as he stared to open the box and saw that his present was a pair of shoes.

The footwear was red and had white tops folded into sock-like cuffs, pointed toes, white straps over the middle, a golden buckle on the outermost side, and gray metallic soles at the bottom.

"Wow, these look sick! Thank you, guys!" smiled Izuku with appreciation.

"And the best part is that they're friction proof, so you can run around with them as fast as you can and they won't wear off for a while." explained Tom.

"This is so cool! This is exactly what I needed!"

Tails looked at Izuku's new pair of footwear and started to take a moment to think about an idea for his next project that he could work on, he already planned for it to be footwear, but seeing Izuku's brand new pair had just given him even more inspiration.

Izuku removed his red boots from his feet and put on his new shoes to see how their fit. Once he got up with his new shoes on, he looked down to see them from an overhead angle and looked the wear they looked.

"What do you think?" he asked everyone in the room.

"Grovey, man!"

"They look cool!"

"I think they bring out your hair colour more."

Og, Eri, and Tails all shared their opinions on the speedster's new footwear. It was safe to say that Izuku's new look was having a good first impression on everyone.

"Alright, who's ready for cake?!" asked Inko.

"ME!" shouted everyone who was below the age of eighteen.

(The Next Day)

Izuku and Tails were walking to U.A. to start their next day at school. Only that task was going to be easier said than done, as the front of the school was now crowded with a swarm of reporters and paparazzi. When the two students were noticed by them, they soon had a bunch of cameras, phones, and microphones shoved into their faces.

"Can you tell us what training under All Might is like?" asked a female reporter.

"U-U-Um, I'm not in the Hero Course!" said Tails nervously. It was clear that he was uncomfortable with all the attention.

"Sorry to leave you all hanging for answers, but we're needed somewhere else." replied Izuku. He then grabbed Tails' arm and pushed his way through the crowd in order to get to the entrance of the school once he was on the other side he speed up a bit with Tails along for the ride as the two of them entered the building.

"Man, that was crazy! All Might being a teacher here really got a lot of attention from the press."

"No kidding, thanks for getting us out of there, Izuku!"

"No problem, bud. Now let's get to class!"

The two students made their way to their respective classes and promised to see each other at lunchtime with the rest of their new friends.

(A Few Minutes Later)

Class 1-A were all talking about the swarm of reporters outside the building that were asking them about All Might being a teacher and what having him as their teacher was like.

"Can you believe those reporters? I didn't think that All Might being a teacher here was going to be that big of a deal!" said Izuku.

"I know, they must really want to learn as much as they could about All Might becoming our teacher." replied Ochaco.

"He is the Number One Hero and Symbol of Peace, after all, anything that is a change to his lifestyle or how it affects others is bound to be asked about by the press." said Tenya.

All conversations about the press were put to a halt when the door slid open and in walked Mr. Aizawa.

"The press is something that all Pro Heroes have to deal with every time they do their job. Luckily for me, I'm an Underground Hero, so they don't bother me, which I couldn't be more thankful for. Now get into your seats or else I'll make any upcoming tests and exams for you harder than in previous years!" he warned them.

Not wanting to see it he was joking like in the Quirk Apprehension Test, the students all sat down at their desks and waited for what their teacher had to say next.

"Good. Now, I was given a full report from All Might about his class yesterday, you all did well for your first combat class, but you all have to improve in the coming months, especially one of you." Aizawa turned to look at Katsuki.

"Bakugo, grow up. You were supposed to wait for the other team to come to you, not rush out to them and leave your partner behind all on his own to do all the work. You're the reason your team lost. Learn to work with others, or you'll be kicked out of the Hero Course!"

Katsuki frowned, but he nodded in understanding.

"Now, it's time for something very important. Something that will most likely have a big impact on your futures as Pro Heroes!" said Aizawa.

Everyone was nervous about what he could be talking about. If it was another Quirk Apprehension Test or something similar, they'll be in big trouble!

"You need to pick a Class President." he answered.

The atmosphere in the classroom quickly changed and the students quickly raised their hands wanting to be made the Class President. With how crazy things have been during their first two days, having to do a normal school activity like this was welcomed. While in most schools, students tend to avoid positions of power and authority as it only leads to more responsibility and stress, in a Hero Course at a school like U.A. High, being a Class President makes you the leader! Being a leader is a very important skill to have when you're a hero, as it allows you to have the trust of your peers and be able to take command on missions. Becoming Class President was an opportunity to learn how to have that skill before becoming a hero out in the real world.

"Everyone, calm down!" called out a voice with a tone of authority.

Everyone turned toward the direction of where the voice came from and saw that it was Tenya the called them out.

"Becoming a leader is a very powerful position that needs to be thought out carefully. You need more than just having the ambition to lead, but also to know of the responsibility that having such a position can give you. Therefore, it would make the most sense to have this matter decided by voting for who gets the position." he explained.

"But there's a problem with that idea. Most of us haven't known each other long enough to build any trust between us." said Tsuyu.

"True, there's also the fact that most of us will just vote for ourselves." added Eijiro.

"This is why whoever manages to get more than one vote will be the best suited for the job, cause if one person other than themselves can place their true in the winner, then more of us will start to trust them as well." replied Tenya.

"I guess that makes sense in a way." said Izuku.

"Will you allow us to use this method, Mr. Aizawa?" asked Tenya to their teacher.

"Do it whatever way you see fit, just don't disturb me until my nap is over." replied Aizawa as he got into his sleeping bag.

With that out of the way, the voting began. Each student's name was written on the blackboard and everyone took turns writing down who they voted for.

'I really don't want the responsibility of being a class leader. All that extra work will seriously cramp my free-spirit style and what-not, I'll just let someone else have it.' thought Izuku as he went to cast his vote.

After everyone was finished voting for who they believed to be the best choice for Class President, the votes were all counted up and written on the board. As expected, most of the students ended up voting for themselves, as nearly everyone had a single vote to their name, all except two names. Which were written on the board for everyone to see.

Midoriya: 2 Votes

Yaoyorozu: 2 Votes

The results had various reactions throughout the class.

"WHY DEKU? WHO VOTED FOR HIM!" I'll let you guess whose reaction that is.

"I got two votes!?" said a surprised speedster.

"I got a vote? But I voted for someone else" said the other class speedster.

Tenya looked around the class to see if he could find any hints to figure out who had voted for him. His gaze met Izuku's, who gave him a thumbs up with a smile. Tenya was surprised to see that Izuku had voted for him, he truly felt happy to have a friend like Izuku.

"So, since two people tied in the voting, how are we going to decide Class President and Vice-President now?" asked Mina.

"How about a simple game of Rock, Paper, Scissors? It's short, quick, simple, and to the point." suggested Izuku.

"I'm comfortable with that." replied Momo.

The two potential Class President and Vice-President walked up to the front of the class and prepared for their game that would decide the leadership of Class 1-A. The two shook hands in a show of good sportsmanship.

"May the best player win." said Izuku.

"You as well, Midoriya." Momo smiled.

"Rock, Paper, Scissors, shoot!"

Izuku did Scissors, while Momo... also did Scissors!?

"A tie?" asked Ochaco in confusion.

"I guess another round is needed." said Denki.

The two competitors nodded and tried again.

"Rock, Paper, Scissors, shoot!"

Izuku did Rock, while Momo... also did Rock!?

"Third time's the charm?" said Tsuyu.

A third round it is then.

"Rock, Paper, Scissors, shoot!"

Both sides did Paper.

This was going to take a while...

(5 Minutes Later)

And a while it did take...

"ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS, SHOOT!" they did Paper.

"ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS, SHOOT!" they did Scissors.

"ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS, SHOOT!" they did Rock.

"HAHAHA, THIS IS HILARIOUS!" laughed Hanata.

"This has got to be a world record for the most ties in a single game of anything!" said Mina.

"I wonder how they're doing it?" asked Toru.

"I want how long it's going to last?" asked Tsuyu.

"ROCK, DOUGHNUT, THURSDAY, SHOOT!"

"Wait, did anyone else hear that?" asked Denki.

Izuku and Momo have been 'playing' multiple rounds, but for some strange reason, all rounds end in a tie with them using the exact same hand sign. It was hard to believe that anyone could play a simple game for so long and end up getting this many ties, but that was exactly the situation that the class found themselves in. This had been going on for so long that a few students were getting tired of it, but the majority of the class was finding this very entertaining and wanted to see how long it could go.

"ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS, SHOOT!" they did Scissors.

"THIS IS RIDICULOUS! HOW ARE WE GETTING THE SAME THING EVERY BLASTING TIME?!" shouted Izuku in frustration.

"Its as if our minds are somehow linked!?" replied Momo with equal frustration.

"There must be some way to end this draw, we can't continue class unless the Class President and Vice-President are decided." said Tenya.

Izuku took a moment to calm himself down from the ridiculousness of the many Rock, Paper, Scissors rounds, he found another solution to their problem.

"Does anyone have a coin we could toss?" he asked.

"I have one, catch!" said Eijiro as he tossed the coin to the speedster.

Izuku caught it with no problem and looked at Momo to ask, "Heads or tails?"

"I'll go with tails." she said.

"I guess that means I'm heads, the winner will be Class President." said Izuku.

He then tossed the coin into the air and waited for it to come down, once it did, he caught it and flipped it onto his arm. He removed his hand to see a head on the coin.

"When that decides that. I'm Class President, you're Vice-President, Yaoyorozu." he said as he turned to face her.

"I'm just glad we reached a decision in the end." she signed.

Izuku tossed the coin back to Eijiro and thanked him for his help. With Class 1-A's Leadership now decided, the two now stood at the front of the class.

"I'm going to get straight to the point and just say that while I appreciate that some of you think I'm worthy of being our Class Representative, I myself don't think that I'm fit for the responsibility that comes with such a high position. With that said, my first and hopefully only order as Class Representative is to give the position over to Tenya Iida." announced Izuku.

"Huh... M-Me?" said a surprised Tenya.

"Yeah, it was clear to me that you wanted the position more than me and since you wanted the position that means you know the responsibilities that come with this job and you'll be willing to bare the burden because you'll be expecting it, and more mentally prepared for it. You're a much better choice than I am, but if you don't want it, I won't force you to take it." continued the green-haired speedster.

'Please take it, please take it, please take it, please take it!' Izuku mentally begged, as he really didn't want the extra work that came with the position of Class President. He was really hoping that Tenya would take it instead.

"Midoriya, you are truly a good friend if you believe in me this much despite only knowing me for a short time. If you truly believe that I'm better suited for the job, then I'll gladly accept the position of Class Representative at your request." smiled Tenya as he stood up and made his way to the front of the class.

"I'm glad you took the job, I have full faith in you, buddy!" said Izuku as he shook Tenya's hand and returned to his seat. He was just happy that all of that was over with.

"Well that took longer than expected, but with now have our Class President and Vice-President. Be sure to listen to them in the future and not to cause any trouble for them, or else!" said Mr. Aizawa.

"Yes, sir!" replied the students.

"Good. Now, it's time to start class."

(Lunchtime)

Once the students were all done with class, it was time to head to the cafeteria for lunch. Izuku ended up sitting with the group of friends that he made so far that included Ochaco, Tenya, and Tails.

"This food is a masterpiece. I don't think I'll ever be able to eat something that isn't made by Lunch Rush again after this!" said Izuku as he munched on a chili dog.

"I know what you mean, I can't believe that a hero like Lunch Rush is serving food at U.A. This place is the best!" replied Ochaco.

"So, from what you guys told me, picking your Class Representative was simple in concept but harder in activity." said Tails.

"Tell me about it. I still don't know how Yaoyorozu and I were able to the same hand signs every single time." it confused Izuku to no end.

"Maybe it was just the kind of luck that you get a one-in-million chance of having kind of thing?" replied Tails with just as much confusion as his best friend.

"In any case, I believe that our scores and reviews of our Battle Trials yesterday are also worth mentioning." brought up Tenya.

"Think everyone did pretty good for our first time fighting each other, but I think some did better than others." said Ochaco.

"Yeah, one guy really messed up and he has only himself to blame for his own arrogance. Maybe that'll teach him to think that he's not immune to failure and mistakes." said Izuku.

Tails and Ochaco looked at each other and knew that Izuku was still a bit upset that his attempt to make peace with Katsuki yesterday was met with failure.

"Anyway, what do you guys think you can do to improve on what you did well during the Battle Trials?" asked Tails.

"I believe a lot can be improved, as I have to do so if I'm going to hold the legacy that my family on my shoulders."

Everyone was confused about what Tenya meant by 'the legacy of his family?'

"Umm... Are you saying that you come from a family of heroes, Iida?" asked Ochaco.

"Exactly, Uraraka. In fact, my brother is the Turbo Hero: Ingenium!" answered Tenya with a proud voice.

"WHOA! That's amazing!" said all three friends at once.

"My family had been heroes for generations, it runs in our blood." smiled Tenya.

"You two basically have the same Quirk, how did I not connect the dots earlier?" asked Izuku.

"Your family is famous! That's so cool Iida!" cheered Ochaco.

"Well, I've looked up to my brother for as long as I can remember, so I hope to become a fine hero like him when I get older. And I'll get faster as well, so be prepared, Midoriya, as I'll work hard to become the faster speed hero!" declared Tenya.

"Then I look forward to see which of our becomes the faster hero. May the faster one win with everything he's got!" smiled Izuku as he hold out his hand.

Tenya took it and the two friends shook. While they were still friends, they also had just declared each other as rivals! An opponent to test themselves against and improve over time to see which one of them had the better skills.

The group discussion was then suddenly interrupted by a loud alarm, which startled everyone in the cafeteria as the noise was so sudden.

"Attention, students. Security Level Three has been activated. Please evacuate in an orderly fashion!" said a mechanical voice over the speaker.

The student in the cafeteria were doing anything but what the voice say, as everyone started to panic and rush out of the room, which ended up with a whole lot of pushing and shoving from everyone.

"The heck it going on?" asked Izuku as he and his friends ended up in the crowd of students.

"You there, what is security level three mean?" asked Tenya as he got the attention of a senior student.

"It means that someone who isn't part of the school made it past security and onto the campus! This has never happened in my three years here until now! Let's get out of here!" answered the senior student as he rush out with everyone else.

Izuku and his group of friends tried to get to the nearest exit, but the crowd of panicking students made that task easier said than done. All the pushing and shoving was getting intense and getting rushed out wasn't helping. This was kind of ironic, as going fast and rushing was usually a good thing for Izuku, but this time it was the complete opposite.

Izuku was then shoved near a window and looked outside, which is where he saw the source of the problem. The reporters from earlier had managed to get past the gates and onto U.A. campus.

'Great, the paparazzi just love to make a scene. I got to get everyone to calm down somehow, but the question is how to do - THAT'S IT!' Izuku suddenly came up with a plan.

"TAILS! TAILS, CAN YOU HEAR ME LITTLE BUDDY?" called out the green-haired speedster.

"OVER HERE!" a hand came up from out of the panicking crowd of students.

Izuku pushed and shoved his way through the crowd in order to get to the hand. Once he grabbed it, he pulled, and the person that it belonged to turned out to indeed be his best friend, Miles "Tails" Prower.

"Tails, takes us flying!" said Izuku.

Tails started to spin his two tails and they soon spun at high speed like helicopter blades, which made him lift both himself and Izuku up from the crowd and over their heads. This caught nearly everyone's attention.

*Whistle*

What got everyone's attention was Izuku whistling as loud as he could before the then pointed out the window.

"It's alright everyone, it's just the press that made it on campus. I repeat: The reporters are the ones who set off the alarm, we're in no danger. So chill out!" he said.

The students all started to calm down and looked outside the windows to see that it really was reporters trying to enter the campus and that school security was dealing with them. Now knowing that there was no real threat, all the students started to calmly exit the cafeteria.

Tails lowered both of them down to the ground and the two friends were approached by Ochaco and Tenya.

"That was amazing you guys, you made everyone calm down and get a hold of themselves." smiled Ochaco.

"You both were indeed impressive, you utilized your Quirks and quick thinking to handle the situation." said Tenya.

"Couldn't have done it without my best bud!" smiled Izuku as he placed a hand on Tails' shoulder.

"W-Well, it was a team effort." replied the two-tailed kid.

"So much better than working on you're own. Hey, that could actually be good lyr-!" Izuku stopped talking and looked at the glass window.

"Umm... Mid-"

"Shh! He's just thought of something good!" said Tails as he shushed Teyna.

Izuku then started to think about the alarm from earlier and how he looked through the glass window to find the solution to the problem. He then suddenly took out his notebook and a pencil to start writing, while his three friends were wondering where he pulled those two things out from.

"~Sound the alarm, shatter me like glass.~"

Once he wrote down those words, he put the notebook and pencil away...to wherever they came from. He then turned to look at his friends and saw a smile on Tails' face, but a confused look on both Ochaco and Tenya.

"What?" he asked.

"What did you just write down?" asked Tenya.

"Oh, just song lyrics for a new song I'm writing."

"Song? You write songs, Midoriya?" asked Ochaco.

"He not only writes songs, but he also plays them too." added Tails.

"Wait, you can write music and play it?" asked Ochaco.

"Yeah, it's a hobby of mine. Something to do when I'm not training all the time." answered Izuku with a shrug of his shoulders.

"That's amazing, Midoriya! I never know you could write music!"

"Indeed, that sounds like a good hobby, as it takes creativity to come up with something like a song and lyrics. You must work very hard in order to do that while also training to become a hero."

Ochaco and Tenya were both impressed with Izuku's talent. The speedster just scratched the back of his head nervously as a blush appeared on his face.

"Can you show us one of your songs?" asked Ochaco excitedly.

"Maybe some other time. Right now, I think we shoulder head back to class, or else our teachers won't be very happy with us for being late. As crazy as me ever being late is." replied Izuku.

"That's true, Mr. Aizawa does not seem like a patient teacher if we don't have a good enough reason for being late to class, even after something as chaotic as this." said Tenya.

The four friends left the cafeteria to return to their classrooms. While it looked like this like mess was taken care of, in reality, this was only the beginning of something much deadlier than anyone could be expecting!

(A Few Hours Later)

The police had taken the reporters away from U.A. after they'd been called in to help control the situation, but that still didn't mean that everything was all back to normal. The thought that reporters were the ones responsible for triggering the alarm just seemed too silly to some, which is why those who didn't believe it were out investigating the scene.

The one that was in front of the group was the school's principal, Nezu. He was some kind of animal that had somehow manifested a Quirk that made him super intelligent.

Nezu and the group of U.A. staff were in front of the gate, or whatever was left of it anyway. The school had a large metal barrier that was meant to keep unwanted guests out, but it was now destroyed and looked like it crumbled away, this wasn't the work of brute force, but it also meant that it couldn't have been the reporters that had gotten pass their security system. This had to have been someone else, someone who used the press as a distraction in order to enter the campus!

"Someone had to have been behind this, but if a villain actually infiltrated our school, what reason did they have for doing so? Is this a show of power, or a declaration of war?" asked Nezu as he and the rest of the staff looked at the damage.

Someone was planning a move against U.A. and it was going to be big!

This war was about to begin!

I know, I know, I know. What reason do I have for NOT updating and writing for nearly 10 MONTHS?

I ended up getting tired and had a HUGE case of writer's block. I was also stuck in my home for most of the year with little motivation and spent more time reading other people's stories instead of writing my own. I know that saying sorry at this point would only sound like empty words, but...

I'm sorry. I should have done better, and I'll TRY to do better when 2023 comes around, but I won't make promises that I won't be able to keep. Just a heads up.

Another piece of info, if you've been looking at my profile that I've updated recently you'll know that I've added a section that says 'Planned Fanfictions'. That means that I've spent a good chunk of the year planning out new stories that I want to write, instead of just writing them right away and making stuff up as I go along, like when I first became a member back in 2016. I'll hopefully be able to get one story out by the end of the year, but the other two when have to sit back and wait until 2023 to make an appearance.

The section above 'Planned Fanfictions' is called, 'Fanfiction Ideas/Fanfiction Challenges'. That's where I posted some ideas about pretty awesome fanfic crossovers that I think would be great to read. However, I'm not the kind of writer that writes down every story that comes to mind, as I don't think I have the capability to do so many stories justice. I don't know how some authors can find the power to juggle so many ongoing stories at once, as I already struggle with that problem enough. So if you like any of the story ideas that I have posted there and if you're a fan of BOTH series from each individual story idea, please PM me to let me know that you want one of the stories I have listed and which one, I'll respond with a message that gives a gives a summary of the basic information for the foundation of the story and first chapter, but the rest of the story and the direction that it goes in will be up to YOU and the author of said story will be YOU, I'm just the guy that came up with the idea and a fan/reader of the story!

Lastly, I hope that this chapter was a treat to all the MHA and Sonic fans out there. Especially the Sonic fans, as it was my plan to release this chapter before the release date of Sonic Frontiers! As we reach the end of the year, and as a Sonic fan, I just want to say that I REALLY enjoyed being a Sonic fan this year. To recap: we got the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie in April, Sonic Frontiers in just a few days, and in December we're going to get Sonic Prime on Netflix! I can say without a doubt that 2022 truly was the YEAR of Sonic the Hedgehog! Write in the reviews if you agree with me.
